IT was very dirty in the Restaurant. I really hope the kitchen is a lot cleaner than the Restaurant. Never again

The McDonald’s Cheeseburger. It arrives in my hands warm, familiar, wrapped in crinkled paper, like some guilty little secret. I peel it open slowly, savouring that first glimpse: the soft, glistening bun, golden and gently dusted with flour, smooth to the touch. It yields ever so slightly, plush and inviting, a warmth radiating through my fingertips, as if it’s just been waiting for me. Then, I lift it to my mouth and take that first bite, teeth sinking through layers of anticipation. The bun, pillowy and yielding, parts with a tenderness that almost makes me blush. Beneath it lies the patty, robust and salty, flooding my tongue with a warmth that’s earthy and deeply, unashamedly satisfying. It’s not just meat; it’s a declaration, a tease, a promise. The cheese, molten and clinging, drapes itself over the patty like silk on skin, warm and pliant, surrendering with every touch. And then there’s the tang of the ketchup, that splash of red intensity, slick and almost indecent in its sharpness. The pickle, daring and brazen, cuts through it all sharp, unashamed, making itself known in a way that demands attention. And there I am, caught in this dance, tasting salt, heat, sweetness, and that jolt of sharp acid. It’s messy and visceral, a clash of sensations that’s primal, fierce, and impossible to resist. In that moment, it’s as if nothing exists beyond this. The world fades, leaving only me, this mouthful of sin, and the heady realization of just how far pleasure and indulgence can take you in the most unexpected places.

Quick efficient service. With evidence if between team members being trained/supported by senior members

If I could give no stars I would myself and my partner ordered on just eat then waited a hour and 30 minutes on food then they cancelled our order last minute then turned all their system off and phone off. Won’t be ordering from here again absolute joke of a place

It was really high quality and very delicious. It was the best I have eaten in most countries. I definitely recommend it.

I have just had a delivery from this McDonalds where me and my partner had the 20 chicken nuggets. When I bit into a chicken nugget there was a long strand of hair inside. This is a genuine hygiene risk and I hope there will be an investigation into this!!!

I used today this store and on the order they asked me to carry bag to pay . I do t use bag which is with to handle of course I ordered takeaway and just caryy bag and my order come with tray 🙁 I said I ordered take aways and. staff said you didi t pay Excuses me Mc Donald's . Please check description bag what does it mean. You can nit charge people who just buying. cheap food and if take away🤞

Ordered a meal for delivery via JustEat at 11:45pm. Called after 30mins and was advised the food was ready and waiting for the JustEat driver/biker. Advise the food would be cold and was assured if it was they would make it fresh again. Called again after another 30mins and was given an apology and again if cold would be made fresh. Went to bed and at 1:56 was woken up with the door bell ringing and the JustEat driver/biker was there over 2 hour after placing the order! The food was freezing cold and the receipt stated it was made at 11:58! Appalling service from McDonalds as it was they who contacted JustEat to deliver their product and it is their responsibility to ensure the delivery goes out in time and delivered correctly. Threw the delivery in the bin and still waiting on a refund!!!

Filthy. Men's toilets unfit for use, toilets blocked, excrement smeared everywhere, used toilet paper in sinks and urinals. Bins overflowing, most tables empty but covered in rubbish... And floor/cleaning staff stood chatting with security guard for the hour or so we were there. Food was probably ok, but hard to enjoy in such disgusting surroundings.

This place is so good I order my things And it was delicious 😋 I picked it up at the counter and it took about 3 to 5 minutes the food was bussing like heaven keep it up

Worst McDonald's I've been to. Self-order receipt printing didn't work. Order took a long time to be prepared. Ordered eat-in, but it was served in delivery paper bag. Dip was missing. Toilets extremely dirty, tables dirty, all garbage cans full.

Great customer service and quick on receiving my food

Everytime I ordered the takeaway I never got the dips that I had chosen. Its just not only one time I been more that 4 times I don't know why but its bad.

Worst McDonald’s ever. No top of burger bun and fries tasted a day old. It’s shocking there staff could be so useless

I ate here twice today. Once coffee and breakfast menu. Unfortunately, I didn't have apple pie in the morning, so I dared to go back 3 hours later for an early lunch. My menu now was chocolate drink, apple pie and hamburger. I noticed that it must have been very funny for one of the young guys, because when he saw this, he started whispering and smiling to several people. Update: (2024.10.03. 10:45 am) I'm here again. And the employees of Mc Donald's behave in an uneducated way when it comes to food delivery. They make sarcastic comments and laugh. Are there not enough normal workers?

Hot, fresh food and great customer service. Can be busy at times but there's plenty of extra seating upstairs. Staff actively make sure that the restaurant is clean and assist people with the self order kiosks aswell as keeping the receipt rolls topped up. Far better than the one on the other end of princes street.

So bad! Didn’t give me the sauces I ordered with my meal! Called my order number then placed it on a shelf and refuse to give it to me. Stopped other people from getting in because it was “too busy” there was only 4 people in the queue outside and the shop wasn’t the busiest I’ve seen it. Absolute jokes. Sort yourselves out

Bloody waste of money. Took over an hour to deliver to an address half a mile away (3 minutes drive), and food was freezing. DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY.

Soggy fries, no salt, no seating, only takeaway(tables were available), no receipt when ordering. I'm used to norwegian McDonald, maybe that's why I expect better quality 🤷‍♀️

Girl at the front counter was very nice. Does the work with so much energy and loved the way she made every customer valued. She was on shift 13/09/2024 , during afternoon. She leaves her hair strands to the front didn't catch her name.

Place closes at 2:00 am we got here at 1:45 and the security wouldn’t let us in to get food there was 5 of us waiting at when we asked for his name to put a complaint in and he refused and gave us the finger

No onions on my mcplant burger or in my salad box when I ordered it with them not the same without them . To busy environment with non stop delivery drivers most of the time it looks like a bike yard outside McDonald's even worse at night time.

It was convenient for us to get some late night drinks before we headed home.

Forgot to give me hashbrown for breakfast. After reminding them I was told it would take a while. I finished my burger. Clearly they forgot again.

So McDonald's was my go too comfort. Not anymore. Overpriced and everything is smaller. No value, just a money making exercise. BK superior in value and Size.

Clean mcdonalds we sat on the first floor which wasn't to busy you can see st.johns church from here but back to the restraunt it didn't take long to get served at all

Visited this establishment one evening and I must say that it's one of the worst kept restaurants I've been in - couldn't actually wait to leave. Avoid at all costs.

Great, fresh food. Always love McDonald's but this was even better as all our food was fresh. Must say, if you're in Edinburgh and looking for somewhere to eat, it's worth it to pop in as prices are so low! One of the best McDonald's I've been to.

I was going to get a bite to eat and I needed to use the toilet to my dismay of find sanctuary towels in the ladies toilets in all the cubicles cover with sanctuary towels looks like a murder spree all over the floor I spoke to a security worker who and told about it he then decided to me unpleasant towards me saying I am f ING doing nothing about it extremely professional I then spoke to a female who didn't have a clue what sanctuary towels were I tried to put it politely as possible, and I repeated my self several times so I switch the frustration to fanny pads of which is something a female who uses once a month she was like I will pass this over to my manager and the end of my shift hell no you do it now then her manager appeared so I approached him blonde head boy who just shugged his shoulders and did not seem to what to get a cleaner straight away I had to use my foot to bash these of the toilet seat is what I had to do inorder to use the toilet, so I am taking this to Environmental Health as this seems a clear issue with cleaness I mean there is HIV anyone can contract using a toilet I have serious health issues as it is but HIV is hopefully not one of them people avoid i do not recommend this place at all

Pretty standard McDonalds. The bathroom seems to be having an issue in which the door kind of traps people in, so about 5 people 1 have the other got trapped and subsequently released from the bathroom.

Awful service and over 15 mins to get a fast food order. Management very ignorant and rude. Security staff hopeless. Maybe if they served the customers in the restaurant first, rather than the home delivery drivers hanging around.

Food as you know from McDonalds. The ordering kiosk did not want to accept the payment after several times, so we went to the cash register. Paid as expected, food did not arrive. I am told that I had done it wrong..... maybe true, maybe not, but the response was certainly not friendly from the staff. I don't have to go anymore, there's plenty of food in Edinburgh.

My friend and I were out for a nice quick bite to eat before we went to the zoo and unfortunately, it was far from that. Our food took quite a while to come when it wasn’t even busy. When it did finally come it wasn’t the right food and my friend and looked at our food in shocked and were disgusted at what was in front of us, and when we did finally alert somebody about the issues with many food items, they didn’t seem to be bothered or apologetic and seemed like we were an annoyance to them. May i add we also noticed other customers getting frustrated as their orders had also been implemented and they were clearly not pleased as it is not what they ordered. I truly believe this is unacceptable as it was more than one food item that was different to what i ordered. I will simply never be returning here again as this has made us frustrated and extremely disappointed.

They took far to long to bring our food to us,it wasn't even that busy when we went in so I don't get how it took so long to bring out our food,I've worked for McDonalds so know the food is served pretty quickly but we waited ages for our food,maybe don't concentrate on your just eat and deliveroo orders and focus on instore orders.

It's a McDonald's. It does what it's supposed to do. You can order at the counter or at the order screens.

I’ve experienced one of the worst hot chocolate ever. It’s just the hot water and there is no chocolate in it. Even the staff won’t listen that what we are trying to tell.

Disgustingly filthy; seemed to be understaffed. Food was OK but a bit cold by the time it was delivered to the table. Seriously poor cleanliness standards; our table was "cleaned" and was still dirty. Also screaming unattended kids everywhere and barely space to move.

Ordered and paid for 9 nuggets, only discovered when got home that had been given a box of 6. Then discovered that double cheeseburger that was ordered was supplied as a single cheeseburger. Very disappointed.

Just had breakfast here. The App was very useful here to order and it came directly to my table although I put the wrong mark on my table but the waiter was courteous enough to come straight to me when I called her. There’s ample sitting upstairs (with a couch) to relax as long as you want. Stop here soon

Despite the promising menu, my dining experience fell short of expectations. The food quality was acceptable, but it was consistently served lukewarm, which diminished the overall enjoyment. Additionally, the customer service was subpar, the washrooms were unclean, and there were repeated order mistakes. These issues need to be promptly addressed by management to ensure a more pleasant dining experience for future patrons.

Fairly fast service, after the taste it's still McDonald's, but I had a problem with printing the ticket, and the shift manager kindly printed it for me, on the other hand quite a shame, I had two drinks and I didn't have anything to prop them up in the bag... I had to hold one in my hand and the other balanced in the bag

Order machine broken. I tried to get my money back through McDonalds Germany, but it doesn't seem to work! Contact is not possible from Germany to Edinburgh! So always pay attention!

Im actually shocked at the audacity of this mcdonalds. Called up because part of my order was missing from my app delivery, explaining that this has left a 3 year old autistic child who will only eat chicken nuggets (from mcdonalds) without food. The guy on the phone stated that the order wasnt placed at that mcdonalds even though the app told us differently. He then told us that there was other mcdonalds on the same street and gave us a fake number to call!! Google shows only one mcdonalds on princes street and the app also says that!! Its an actual joke!!!

Always delicious for being fast food.

The hot chocolate was okay, considerably acceptable temperature, the consistency could be improved, the drink was perhaps rather granulated, and additionally the richness wasn't incredible, a little too watery and not quite high enough chocolate concentration. By McDonald's standards though, a decent hot chocolate. 3/10

Taxis cannot be picked from here, need to meet at a pick up point close by

Fairly standard for a McDonald's. Bit of a risk to try to sit in if you can't do stairs, very few downstairs tables. Whilst there is an accessible toilet, it is code locked, so you have to ask staff to open it.

We were on holiday and decided to pop in for lunch food came quick and was hot the man who was cleaning had no customer skills whatsoever which was a shame as everything else was perfect

Always freezing cold and order always has something missing

Though we know what to expect at Macdonald's and don't get too excited about visiting, we were disappointed that, when our food arrived it was almost cold. This was particularly frustrating as we had table service and we didn't have to wait long for our order. Usually average food at best was a struggle to get down. The tables were also dirty, but we come to expect that. I don't know how staff manage to cover all the tasks when customers are ordering table service for one item at a time and then following their order with another single item. It's a miracle they are so polite!

The quality of McDonald's is good and even the service. My only concern is that the place doesn't look squeky clean as other QSRs. Maybe McDonald's is more popular. However, they should ensure strict cleanliness in terms of removing spilled over items on the floor, empty bins, etc.

Place is an absolute shambles. 15 staff behind s the tills and still 20 minute wait for my meal they messed up in the 1st place.

Very busy time for staff. We asked for table service but weren't given milk or stirrer for our teas, so had to fetch these ourselves. There was a bit of trouble with a very drunk customer, which didn't help the atmosphere. But this was not Mac's fault & staff dealt with it well.

Food is ok if although put together a bit haphazard all jumbled up. The one thing they really need to sort out the lighting upstairs, a couple of failed LED lights turning the place into a rave with the strobing lights. Also no disabled access to upstairs or sauce dispensers which is a shame.

Food is generally decent but service is not so great. Half the time there is no table service or they forget to bring napkins or salad cutlery with the food. Also, give the person that decided to remove the napkin / sauce self service from the top floor a promotion. Customers get to eat fast food and spend the calories right away by jogging up and down the stairs. Truly a genius move 👍

McDonald's is great for taking the grandchildren. They can get all the things that they like to eat in one place .I also like their crispy chicken burgers which are good value for money.

Zu Anfangs is halt ungesund aber das kennt man ja von der Fast Food Branche. Bestellt habe ich lediglich 2 Burger welche wie bei jedem McDonalds schmecken. Logischerweise mit Touristen überlaufen aber trotz alledem war mein Essen für diese Verhältnisse schnell fertig. Es wurde geordert wie am Fließband und die Küche und Kasse waren bestimmt mit 15 Mitarbeitern besetzt. In anderen Filialen musste ich trotz der geringen Bestellmenge deutlich länger warten, also Hut ab und Respekt an die Mitarbeiter.

Staff are good but too many unruly trolls emerging to grunt their mantras to prove the world revolves around them. Scared my young neice we took in after ice skating. Security at 8pm says it all.

Well located Mcdonald's in the beginning of princess street with to floors: Ground floor overcrowded specially at lunch time. On the first floor is the eating eating room which the atmosphere is pleasant and calm.
