The food looked delicious. It sounded great on the menu, too. But... my chicken noodles tasted mostly of ketchup! My wife's meal, on the other hand, was seasoned with Maggie's. If you like that... It was okay. But unfortunately, nothing more. Therefore, I can't recommend it.
And the draft through the door was like a thunderstorm. Uncomfortable. A shame.
I have bought soup from here twice. The 1st time I bought Heinz Tomato soup but the sandwich shop had clearly watered down the soup - yuk! The other time I have cock-a-leekie soup and the there was so much pepper in the soup it was inedible. Nope - never again
Nice early evening dinner.
Good food, friendly service and a good few drinks!
We had the haggis and the pie of the day, all really tasty and not too expensive.
This place served such great quality food, so beautifully presented, lovely relaxed atmosphere. Felt that prices were right. Would love to go back here and have recommended it to friends.
Me and my fiancé went last night , the food was average , the chicken bites i ordered were too salty and not cooked properly, we went for our engagement anniversary and no one said anything even tho i mentioned it on the booking as they asked what was the occasion.
I feel like no one is actually checking what are the request or notes when someone booking in.
We’ve been put in a corner of the restaurant where was cold and not good atmosphere.
Overall experience a bit disappointed.

I am delighted to find a place that was responsive to any menu item modification I needed as I have multiple food sensitivities. More importantly they have a rather large selection of dishes all of which are expertly prepared and delicious. Prices were great and the food prep area was very clean. I have been twice and will go again and again until I must leave at which time I will endeavour to take chef and his restaurant home with me, 😁 wishful thinking but I cannot proselytize enough how great this place is, excellent, primo food, 20 out of 5 really topnotch
A bit late for a review however myself and my family where here in Feb during a visit for the six nations. It was my highlight of the trip (maybe not the highlight Ireland did win). The steak was superb. Excellently cooked. I’m going back to Edinburgh next February and can’t wait to come back to this restaurant
Good service but food quality was less than average. Sushi was Ok but chicken teriyaki was bad, most of it was plain rice, chicken was scarce and tasteless, and there was an evident lack of vegetables. Sad if you consider they charge £9 per Teriyaki dish. We won’t come back.
They have a tiny outdoor seating , good for nice sunny days but DO NOT ORDER THEIR MARGERITA! it s served in a short ball glass, filled with ICE to the brim and hardly any drink in it , such a cheapskate , charged £25 for 2 margaritas !!!! HIGHWAY ROBBERY!
Everything was perfect. Thank you so much for taking us in and for being such wonderful host last night. We really appreciate it. Weshinh you all the very best.
