I’m a regular customer visiting the place every week after Sunday Mass! Staff is super friendly, professional and what’s the most important factor, hard working! You are assured of a warm welcome and delicious food here! It can get busy when groups meet up here but the efficiency of the service means you won't have to wait long. There is an excellent choice of drinks. There is a good mixture of healthy brunch choices and sweet treats. The coffee and pastries at this cafe were fantastic, and I really enjoyed them. However, I did have a small issue with one of the staff members. When I asked for extra milk and some additional food, they made it feel like a chore for them. Their facial expression and tone felt dismissive and rather rude. Overall, it's a great place with wonderful food and drinks, but that particular interaction left me a little disappointed.

We had breakfast at the coffee saints and we had a good time! The staff was really nice and friendly. We had some coffee and the toast with avocado and scrambled eggs, both were very delicious! I think the food is somehow pricey, but it’s really good. The atmosphere isn’t that cozy, gives more like a canteen vibe because of the high ceilings and the arrangement of tables. But it’s still very comfy and nice to stay.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Came in for some coffee after shopping for my birthday, I was w my mum she is in a wheelchair. First off the door is very heavy to get in and we struggled for a few minutes without the help of anyone who worked there. Tried to find a table, was weaving in and out of everyone, people staring (some laughing). We found a table but it was quite inaccessible so i tried to move the benches around and tried the table (very heavy), took quite a bit still no help from any of the workers. They just pretended we weren’t there. We left without ordering.

Popped in for coffee and snacks. Ignored and left waiting at the counter for over five minutes without being acknowledged. The cafe was busy and it was difficult to find anywhere to sit. Waited another 15 minutes for the order to arrive. Latte was luke warm, scone was more like a tea cake (spongy and moist) and not nice to eat. Same prices as Starbucks but service and products same level as a 1970s WRVS cafe. Avoid.

During our visit to the Christmas markets, we discovered this gem based on a family member's recommendation, and it added a delightful touch to our experience. Stopping in for coffee (or, in my case, a smoothie), we enjoyed the inviting atmosphere. The coffee was excellent, and I could tell my companions were pleased with their choices. The visual appeal of the food, observed from other tables, certainly piqued our interest. What makes this cafe even more remarkable is its charitable mission. Operated by a charity, they channel all profits from the cafe and their gift shop – featuring charming items like candles – back to vulnerable individuals in Edinburgh. A truly fantastic cause. Whether you're seeking a quick coffee and a chat or a spot for lunch, I highly recommend this place. It's a wonderful blend of good vibes and giving back! Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick coffee and a yap, or looking for somewhere to stop for your lunch!

And the other lady had tattoos and again was really helpful and chatty and giving us advise on where we could get tattoos and piercings. Not only were the staff great, the coffee was also delicious. Called in here for a coffee as we heard good things. Rather disappointed to find that here, a flat white is believed to be a large mug of boiling hot milk with a weak taste of coffee. My wife had a turmeric latte which again, compared with other coffee houses, was quite insipid. We asked for both to have another shot to improve the taste. Surely it is common knowledge that temperature and correct ratio of coffee expression to milk is essential for a flat white? We may not be back here but hopefully constructive feedback will help other customers.

I bought an itison voucher the day prior to my visit, I arrived and told the staff member on the till I had a voucher and they said it’s only valid between 9-11 I showed them we had just made it before 11 so they reluctantly agreed and we put the details through and I placed my order. So firstly I not really welcoming. I came within the parameters you set with itison regardless of how close to 11. Not even a menu or kitchen issue as your menu shows “ALL DAY BRUNCH” it’s about the voucher. Then whilst waiting for our order a lady whom I presume is the manager (I can’t confirm as she didn’t introduce herself) asked to see my voucher again telling me “it’s saying it’s already been used on the 30th there” I happily presented her the app where it showed the voucher it’s corresponding number and details as well as the the detail the voucher had only been purchased the day before (thank goodness for that as the tone and the way she presented was wholly accusatory). I actually offered to show her my bank statement I was so taken aback by the way she approached and stated the issue. I pointed out the date that she was previously saying (the 30th) is an expiration date on the voucher and yes it’s says “redeemed” as I had done so at their till five minutes ago. She then said “oh it’s showing up as not redeemed, it’s an itison issue I’ll phone them.” And left. So the issue had changed from the voucher “had already redeemed on the 30th.” to its “not redeemed.” Which tells me you didn’t read it correctly and when you realised thats why you turned on heel. No sorry. No oh our mistake we misread that. I sat for the rest of brunch on edge wondering if you’d materialise again to accuse me of trying to double use a voucher that I’d just bought the day before which ruined what was meant to be a nice girls brunch with my 6 year old while on a trip to Edinburgh. End your deal with itison if you’re going to treat people who buy the voucher there as I would have never been treated like this had I just rocked up and ordered off the menu. The food was actually good, well presented and the staff member who brought it was lovely so I’m not being totally unfair here but because of the initial non welcome and the way I was made feel due to them making an error on how to read/process a voucher I would not recommend or return. Further- even if it was an itison issue the way you approached to discuss it was really poor.

Pretty good. Very friendly staff and a nice shop connected to it where you can get fresh fruit and veg. Plenty of options including vegan. Nice options for small children too.

A traditional friendly bar. Good choice of beers, spirits and wine. The bar staff are lovely people and make you feel welcome, the locals are friendly too. Enjoyed spending time in there.
