The best restaurants in Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

I can’t comment on the bar or the food, but unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with the gig. In short: please don’t sell more tickets than the venue can reasonably accommodate. We attended Hannah Grace’s show, and by the time my partner and I arrived, not only were all the tables taken, but there was no standing room left either. We found ourselves standing behind a wall near the stairs, craning our necks just to catch a glimpse of the stage. After three or four uncomfortable minutes, we decided to leave. It was a waste of money and time, and it left the evening feeling quite spoiled — especially given how much effort it took to arrange childcare so that two working parents could enjoy a rare night out.

We eat lunch here on a Saturday, we eat outside. There was nothing special, it catered for tourists so the staff weren't out to impress and the food was mediocre but the beer was good hence the 3 stars.

After a long trip with our unwell child, the staff at Hilton Edinburgh Airport were incredibly supportive. The night porter kindly brought us toast in the middle of the night, and the chef prepared plain rice both at breakfast and again at check-out. Truly thoughtful service — we highly recommend this hotel!

¿Por dónde empezar con esta ruina de un lugar. Absolutamente nada en stock, el personal es despistado en cuanto a lo que están haciendo y la administración simplemente es grosera y agresiva cuando se le hacen preguntas simples. Los miembros del personal siempre parecen estar demasiado ocupados jugando pequeños juegos estúpidos o por teléfono o hablando entre ellos en lugar de hacer un trabajo por el que realmente se les paga, explica por qué los tiempos de espera son tan comunes en esta Revolución. He oído que este lugar está cerrando y honestamente puedo decir que el buen viaje al lugar, la experiencia shambolica y la fecha de cierre no puede llegar lo suficientemente pronto. Esperemos conseguir algo incluso medio decente para reemplazar esta broma de un “restaurante”.

Service is friendly, loads of GF options. GF food fried separately. I'm coeliac and ordered a few times here and no issues. Highly recommend this chippy.

Rooms are small but clean, no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms is disappointing. Probably the most annoying thing is ‘Mission Control’ which is actually reception. Not knowing this cost us a considerable amount in parking costs which we pre booked rather than going to Mission Control and getting a discount coupon. Staff were apologetic but unable to assist as it was too late given we had pre paid parking. For the benefit of those who have not stayed with you before, put reception in brackets after Mission Control. Given the costly mistake, it certainly left a bad taste.

Lots of good and local beer, the food was as expected. Sweet and welcoming service.

Truly delightful location near the centre of EDINBURGH, absolutely worth a try including their excellent and very delicate draught beers.

My wife and I reserved a table for 2, and while the food was good, the service was severely lacking. From the moment our server realized we weren't ordering wine or alcohol, his interest in our table dropped to 0. He would check on every table that ordered wine each time he walked by them, and would stop to chat, however he'd pass by ours 10-15x and never even glance toward us. We asked for dessert menus and once we got them, it took almost 15 minutes for him to come back and get our order. It also wasn't that busy as most of the bigger groups had left. In the end we had to ask a different waiter just to bring us the bill so we could pay and get out of there. I much preffered Mama Rosa's just down the street.

Great place, to buy some good fried chicken. Usually go for the spicy chicken burger & wings. The lads are great, always consistent with their food, great banter aswell. Keep it up lads😎
