So sad.. this was our go to cafe 2 years ago.. a beautiful building and a buzzy atmosphere. Always full. Good coffee an array of home bakes (GF, you name it) and lovely lite bites. First day back in the island, we made a bee line but despite the lovely welcome and a good cup of coffee NO food other than a bowl of soup and a doughnut. The place was empty.

I’m surprised to see the food so well reviewed for this place. While the setting in indisputably spectacular, the food is well below standard. Greasy fish and chips, slow service and high prices. I know this is on an island and therefore difficult and expensive to source supplies but there’s no excuse for the poor quality of the food served. It really is Wetherspoons standard. The pictures of fine dining food on the Tripadvisor page are not representative of what is served. Come for a drink but eat elsewhere.

A 2 min drive from our holiday let and a great experience. Saturday early evening dinner with our dog. Friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable seating in a beautiful location. The food was served quickly and was freshly cooked. Pigeon and black pudding starter, steak, and fish mains plus a couple of fantastic puddings. Almost perfect (the medium rare steak was closer to medium well) meal and I would happily recommend to anyone in tgee area.

Great reports about Lucy’s but honestly the worst service I have experienced in a long long time. Food was average but what was shocking was how bad the service was - to the point that after spending half an hour trying to order coffee we got up and left. My recommendation, avoid the place.

What a fantastic little gem this place is.Superb food lovely staff and a warm friendly ambiance. The flat iron steak melted in your mouth and the salad was so fresh.Dessert was the most decadent delightful mouthful of heaven I have ever had from a sticky toffee pudding. The four of us cleared every morsel of food from our plates and bowls and loved the teapot cocktails .Absolute 10 out of 10 and if I could it would be scored twenty .A real asset to Oban .

Popped in to pick up a coffee for a drive - lots of selection - you can choose which single origin bean to have for example. Nice location by the water as well. Good quality coffee.

We stayed for three nights at the Pennyghael Inn while we explored the Isle of Mull and visited Iona. It was promoted as being open for food all day, but we discovered on arrival that breakfast had to be pre-ordered and was just tea and toast. There was no restaurant service before 5pm and no one available at the inn during the day. Our room was only serviced one day which was also disappointing
