I’ve been here a few times now and I’ve never been disappointed. Amazing food, amazing staff and good prices for what you’re given. Will definitely return

Really nice breakfast menu. We also bought cakes to take away which were excellent. Lucy's is a great place to visit when in this beautiful part of the country.

Lovely little cafe tucked away in Ardfern. Accommodated us at short notice for Breakfast and the place was always busy. Great menus and selection of cakes/coffees/teas etc. very reasonable pricing also. Looking forward to a return visit when we are back next year.

We both had the fish finger sandwiches which were really good . Followed by coffee and cakes which were equally good. Reasonably priced . Service friendly and efficient.

Sadly, owners obviously did not have enough staff working as poor girl in kitchen and table staff were run off their feet. Table booked, but from entry to the cafe to actually getting our sandwich lunch took over an hour. We werent alone in waiting, others looked equally disappointed. Unfortunately some of the food was overcooked. Disappointed, as had great recommendations from friends about this cafe. Staff kept smiling throughout but on this experience would probably not return. Sorry.

We called for lunch but it was very busy and we hadn’t booked. The staff did their best to find us an inside table (it was too cold and wet outside) but no luck, so they offered us a take away option which we jumped at. However, while waiting they came over to us and said that as another party had already finished we were welcome to take that table! We were very impressed with this level of friendly and helpful customer service and our lunch was delicious! Thank you!

Lovely quality coffee. We were having a drive around and found this cafe which was very busy. They were happy to provide us with takeaway coffees.

Nice setting and dog friendly. Was very busy so food took a little longer to arrive but we didn’t mind this. Staff were friendly and the burgers we had were lovely. My only criticism: please, please cover your cakes/tray bakes. We were very tempted as the looked yummy but the are sitting uncovered on the counter where everyone pays and leans over to ask questions. This pit us off unfortunately.

Awesome birthday breakfast. Recommendation is to book ahead. We turned up for breakfast on a Saturday and we were very lucky to be accommodated. All other tables had reserved signed on them. Delicious breakfast and lovely home made cakes. Good efficient service, on a busy morning.

After a lovely walk from Lunga estate we were happy to be welcomed by Lucy’s. Although they were fully booked for lunch we were able to sit down for an hour to enjoy their amazing scones. Especially the one with cheese we can recommend. It is so large, it was good lunch :-)

This really is a gem amid the many rather lacklustre cafes in Argyll. The decor and ambience is wonderful (think Oliver Bonas), the food is very good and the staff do make you feel welcome with a winning smile. They can be very busy and stretched at peak times (eg weekend lunchtimes) due to the Brexit induced stuff shortages that plague much of our country these days but it is a lovely place to sit so a short wait doesn’t matter. We visited three times during our fortnight in Argyll… the vegan cinnamon buns kept drawing us back. We enjoyed breakfast one day (one regular Scottish and one Vegetarian) and they did not disappoint. We will certainly be back next year and you should give it a try if you want a nice coffee (Argyll Coffee Roasters and excellent) and a splendid cake or something a bit more substantial at lunch time.

Booked lunch here and we weren't disappointed. An interesting menu and well presented. Staff were friendly and efficient. Couldn't manage a cake after lunch but they looked so good that we took some home with us. A great place for lunch after exploring Kilmartin.

Sadly disappointed by one of our regular visits to Lucy’s. I ordered for lunch a “Cajun spiced fried mushroom ciabatta” which sounded lovely, and I thought would be both tasty and juicy. I never imagined that I would be served a ciabatta with two huge lumps of tempura batter with a minute amount of mushrooms in it that was already cold. It also had a couple of slices of tomato, a bit of lettuce and a large amount of mayonnaise, but was missing the pickles mentioned on the specials board. It was difficult to eat and sadly unappetising. I really wish I’d gone for the other special of courgette and pesto soup. This could all have been avoided had the meal been more fully described on the specials board, as had it said that the mushrooms were in batter I would never have picked it. PLEASE describe your food better to enable customers to make properly informed choices!

Visited for lunch. Menu was a little fancy for the teenagers we had with us but staff were very happy to keep it simple and adjust our sandwich choices, which was very much appreciated. Food was fresh, tasty and good quality. Cakes were amazing. Prices were fair. Will return.

This cafe was new since I had visited the area before. It’s a fantastic addition. Really tasty breakfast with lots of choice, good coffee. Also the best scone I think I’ve ever had! Cinnamon buns also amazing. Really nice place.

Reasonable menu but beware arriving at the wrong time. We arrived after a long trip for an eagerly anticipated cooked breakfast. Unfortunately, we got there 5 minutes before 12 o'clock curfew and were told we ‘could NOT have breakfast’. Lucy the owner, was unnecessarily inflexible...

Nice cafe but disappointed with breakfast: no fresh ingredients: fresh toms, fresh mushrooms etc small just a portion of bacon, baked beans, hash browns… uninspiring. Others in group asked for burgers but ‘sorry none left’ was disappointing. Overall, underwhelming.

This cafe serves flavoursome coffee and a tasty selection of cakes. The peanut butter tiffin was particularly nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is ample parking. It is advisable to book a table for lunch.

If you want a food adventure then head over to Ardfern...an idyllic village half an hour or so south of Oban. I've now been to this cracking wee eaterie on two occasions..both creating vivid memories of epic, creative and incredibly tasty food...in this case sandwiches...

Fabulous little cafe with locally made jewellery and art for sale inside! Freindly, efficienct staff and a varied selection of delicious food and cake. My favourite is the creamy garlic mushrooms with spinach and poached egg on toast.

We come here regularly for Sunday breakfast with our dog, the food is always great and the welcome even better. There's a good range on offer, lots too for vegetarians, and everything really well cooked. And don't forget to take a cake home for later!

Gluten free, organic, vegan. Bread and butter to die for. The best food you can get in life. Give it a try, it's out the way in a wee village but well worth the trip.
