Good food at a good price with friendly service and the lady serving happily filled my daughter's water bottle (asking if she'd like some ice). The total opposite of the very unfriendly/aggressive Caffe Bella opposite. Strongly recommend Campbell Coffee but stay well away from Caffe Bella/see my review of them.

Popped in for coffees and ice cream. Waited around 20 minutes to be served, paid for 2 coffees, a tea and an ice cream... Received the drinks and were told we would have ice cream soon. Another 10 people were in the queue... All of whom were served and we still had not received the ice cream. A woman had to come over and help from the cafe across the road and still nobody considered completing our order despite us asking a further twice. I then asked for a refund for the ice cream so I could go buy my daughter one elsewhere... I was then told the refund had been completed "automatically" to my card and that is all that could be done. This was 2 weeks ago and I still do not have the refund on my card. Coffee tasted like it would have been nice if it had have been hot. Would maybe try again if not so busy and different server on.

Nice place but far too few tables and chairs with a very wide space in front of the counter so came back 3 times to get a seat. Lovely coffee served in a takeaway cup though I was staying in which was disappointing l. The scone, which was delicious when warmed up, was also served in takeaway packaging, albeit cardboard. Would much prefer crockery,. Carrot cake was….. carrot cake. Amendment: went in the following day for two toasted sandwiches – they were absolutely delicious. Pricey but would have them again as it as a special treat. Gorgeous!

Decided to support this local establishment on our visit to Inveraray, however that was the first and last time, as £20.60 for two Americano coffees and two ham and cheese toasted over cooked takeaway sandwiches, was nothing more than a rip off. Is it any wonder people pass through this town and keep their hands firmly on their wallets..!!!!! I shudder to think what their sister shop “ Brambles “ across the road would be charging ?

Great little place. Surprisingly although a coffee lover, im a bigger milkshake fan. Very disappointed to get a milkshake that was clearly from a bottle that you could buy in the supermarket. We had sourdough toastie which was great but for what we got it was overpriced. Will only ever go back for carry out coffee. No real cups or plates etc all disposable so this very disappointing too. Even my hubbys soup was in a disposable cup.

I discovered Campbell’s while driving home from Oban last week. It is an absolute gem of a coffee shop. Their house blend, The Duke, is delicious. Campbell’s doesn’t yet feature in the Independent Coffee Guide to Scotland but it’s up there with the best of them. Hinba in Oban is another gem of a coffee shop if you are travelling up that way…

We cannot fault the coffee itself, excited to use our "The Duke" beans in our espresso machine at home. We also sampled the chocolate chip scone, raspberry and white chocolate scone, empire biscuit, carrot cake and brownie. Great all round! Extra special touch that the scones came with clotted cream. We did sit in with the dog, which is always nice. However, I wasn't a fan of the takeaway paper cups being used in store. Same with the cakes coming in boxes/ bags instead of plates. It seemed like a bit of a waste as well as a bit fiddly with the cakes.

I’m from Melbourne, Australia, Where they have some of the Worlds best coffee. Myself and a couple friends were passing through Inverary and were trying to find a place to have some coffee and Campbell Coffee caught our eyes, and decided to give it a try, we went in and all got coffee served from two lovely girls, Hannah and i didn’t get to catch the other girls name. The coffee was incredible and the fresh sausage pastry’s were the best ones i have ever had. I went back to the shop when i passed through again and bought a bag of “The Duke” coffee blend (tastes amazing!!!) Would definitely recommend if you are passing through this lovely town. Coffee and food was spot on and so was the customer service!!!

Called in here yesterday and bought 4 of the tastiest cones ever. We were heading back to our car about an hr or so later when we tried to buy a bottle of water from various shops heading back up the Main St. I eventually called into a cafe across the road from Campbells who were charging £2.90 for a small bottle of water! I didn't purchase it! We called back into Campbells, but they don't sell bottled water. However, a young man serving asked if tap water was OK! He gave us a glass of iced water......for free! What a kind and thoughtful young man.... Nice to be reminded not everything is about profit!

Popped in for a coffee and cake during an explore of Inveraray. Ordered. Could see they were busy quite happy to wait. We always shop local as oppose to chain and appreciate it's not fast food. But sat down with a lovely sausage roll and a slice of cake waiting for two coffees amd waited and waited and.... two lots of people that came in after us were served and given their coffees so I'm afraid we left. It was a good 10 mins plus we were waiting, enough time to eat the sausage roll and the cake... Happy to wait but please supply peoples drinks in the order they are ordered.

The best analogy I can make about Campbell Coffee is this: If it was in a Harry Potter Film, it would not look out of place in Diagon Alley! This is a must visit place for anyone who has a serious passion for coffee and coffee gadgets and locally roasted blends and single origin beans. So you can see why I am deliberately focussing this review on just coffee because Cambell Coffee is is not a traditional type of coffee shop: Although it has a couple of bar stools.....and it doesn't sell food. However, it's sister business, Campbell Bar & Bistro (which is just on the opposite side of the road,) does! This home of coffee wizzardry is located on Main Street in the stunningly located small town of Inveraray on Loch Fyne on the West Coast of Scotland and is the last place I ever expected to find a coffee Oasis! I had originally called in to read my Sunday Newspapers and an hour later I was still chatting to the very personable Barista, Cat, who is such a great Ambassador for Campbell. She has such an amazing knowledge of coffee, informing me of Campbell's own Roastery (yeah! I know!) and V60 Drip Coffee. Exactly! So if you want a normal coffee, don't come here. However if you want a truly memorable coffee experience then get the Hogwarts Express from Glasgow to Hogsmeade! Now!

The first is the cinnamon bun! - Well worth pre-ordering, make sure you get enough, as one will not be enough.
