Lovely little cafe. Food was very tasty and you could tell it was freshly made and not just reheated like some places do. It is only small though and as the weather was poor, the outside seating wasn't an option. We got the last table available at the time (about 1.30pm). Would recommend popping in when you are in the area.

Small shoreside cafe, in a quiet rural village. For what it offered, no complaints, good food well cooked and presented. All at a reasonable price. Thanks, enjoyed it.

Well, the waitress warned we that it would be between half an hour and 45 minutes, and we still took a seat. When it arrived the food was adequate, The pie was good, the helping of chips less than spectacular. The all day Breakfast was OK. I don't usually give bad reviews, the serving staff were apologetic and very helpful, but whatever was happening in the kitchen really wasn't on. I've had quicker lunches in France. Sorry, when I'm in Kilcreggan i usually make a point of going to the Cafe. I'm not sure that I'll be back

The cafe catered 3 fantastic dinners for us at our local vacation rental for our family reunion. The food and service were top notch. I would not hesitate to use them again. The owner, Siona was a pleasure to do business with! Excellent!

Took a ferry ride across from Gourock and after a walk had an absolutely lovely lunch can thoroughly recommend it. Had a chicken mushroom and onion panini in teriyaki sauce yummy

We had breakfast here today. There's a good choice of items - you can "build your own" wee breakfast or big breakfast. It was all very tasty, and reasonably priced. The tea came in a nice big pot. The staff were friendly and, when something went wrong with the till/ card payments, I thought they handled it very well. I notice they do cream teas. I'm just sorry I'm now too far away to try one. The scones looked great.

My husband and I took a pop in yesterday Wednesday 19th June, the little outside seating area is lovely and clean with amazing views across the Clyde. Entering the cafe we were greeted by a lovely young lady the inside is very homely. Sat by the window which gave an amazing view across the River Clyde, so peaceful and felt very chilled out and relaxed. Now as for the food what can I say!! Lentil & Veg soup was delicious made just like my Grandma made it (note to Chef please don’t add anything else to the soup it’s perfect and very tasty as it is thank you) I will be back for more. The burger was very juicy with fresh lettuce and fresh roll. I had the Wee breakfast and it was cooked perfectly. We will definitely go back again very soon as the whole experience was great. Perfect wee cafe perfect food and lovely waitress. All that and a view to go with it it’s a must on your travels.

I was at an event where these people were "catering" To start off they turned up late following this we believe they plugged their food trucks in to the event so they wouldn't need to use their generators resulting in the halls electricity tripping which couldn't be fixed till someone familiar with the premises arrived. This resulted in the food being over an hour late, which then resulted in half the bands time being lost. During their cooking in the kitchen, the heat alarm was set off, and they didn't seem to care to turn it off. It went on for over half an hour, the first time interrupting and annoying every guest until one of the guests went into the kitchen to turn it off. The alarm was continually set off, and they didn't seem to care at all as one of them said, " I just ignore it!" Meanwhile, 30+ people were trying to enjoy their afternoon with a loud alarm going off. This was particularly hard on one of the guests who has PTSD and was really struggling with the lound beeping. Members of the party were then having to go into the kitchen to open doors and windows to attempt to mitigate this. Meanwhile, one of the guests was continuously having to go into the kitchen to turn it off. They just didn't seem to care. The food was mediocre at best, and when asking for an extra portion, I myself just received a handful of fat from the roast instead of meat. I was honestly shocked with the hostility from the lady who seemed to be in charge. Having talked to the poor person who hired them I was told after they asked if any of the leftover food could be kept (food that they had paid for) the lady had to be convinced to leave some of the food. The next day, some of it was brought out they had left all the bones and fat behind and only morsels of pink fatty meat. The family who hired them have been overcharged and taken advantage of if and I couldn't sit back and let this happen to someone else. Be very careful if you decide to get them for anything.

It's a great place to enjoy pretty decent meals with a great view

Not tried here despite only being 15 minutes away. Definately will be back tho, breakfast was delicious and they do fried bread!! Coffee was nice, staff were welcoming and helpful. Everything great quality and very reasonable too.

What a truly wonderful place. Situated directly opposite the Kilcreggan-Gourock ferry port this cafe has views to die for especially at sunset time. Staff are lovely friendly girls serving exquisite cake,empire biscuits and coffee. The location in this sleepy little village is perfect.Only around 25 minutes drive from Helensburgh, this is a place most certainly worth a visit.31/3/24 Quick return visit. An excellent place to stop overlooking the sea crossing. Great & simple food with excellent choice & great taste. A very busy & happening place for the locals. A good sit out space when the weather is great.

What a lovely place! Chef and server were so helpful and the menu was amazingly varied with wonderful options. We misread our watches and thought it was 12.30 when it was actually 11.30 but they still were happy to serve the langoustines and salad which were unbelievably fresh and delicious. We didn't have any cake ice cream but they also looked wonderful. We stayed for a long time chatting and drinking additional cups of tea and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Kilcreggan is a lovely little village at the tip of a peninsula with GareLoch on one side and Loch Long on the other, the cafe is overlooking the sea by the pier with the ferry to Gourock with a lovely view.

Lovely cosy cafe with big menu considering size of the venue. Choice of hot food- fish and chips, burgers and omelettes. We had smoked mackerel and paninis which were really tasty and great value. Coffee was ok. Dog friendly inside if weather is unkind, and has covered outdoor seating with uninterrupted views of the firth. Get your timing right and you might get to see a submarine passing. Just 1 hour drive from north Glasgow, feels like a world away. Go and visit and help the local economy.

Fantastic lunch for choice, value and quality. Great menu, extremely friendly staff. We had delicious home made soup plus breakfast sandwiches, ice cream and the surprisingly delectable deep fried mars bar.

Menu quite extensive I got homemade Mushroom soup ,so good I nearly asked for more,a perfectly made omelette ,Coffee good love to go back

Ordered a couple of ciabattas. Coronation chicken filling was a thick slop with very little chicken, brie and bacon very unappetizing. Ciabatta was french bread! Waitress doing her best, poor woman.

Staff friendly and helpful and professional food brilliant good on you chef. Atmosphere brilliant eat in or outdoors. Cost reasonable Just few feet from bus service for coulport and gareloch head. Few yards from ferry terminal for gourock.

Had the fish n chips a bit soggy fish chips under Done no the best would of been nicer if cooked longer

Went here for breakfast this morning while car was being MOT'd. Excellent breakfast and the tables are socially distanced so no issue there. We are happy the car passed and had a great breakfast all is well. We will return as the home baking look delicious probably for coffee and a cake.

I had a family party at my house for my mums birthday and ‘Cafe at Kilcreggan’ were amazing! They supplied the marquee, all the bbq equipment, all food & condiments and 2 staff members to help keep everyone’s drinks topped up! The party was a year in planning and they couldn’t have been more helpful- via email with all my questions & menu requests. Everyone commented how good the food was and how helpful they were. Me and my husband usually do the bbq/service ourselves but we got to relax and enjoy the day thanks to them. Would 100% recommend and book again ❤️

Once you have negotiated the single track road you find yourself beside a beautiful loch with magnificent views. There are car park charges. We paid £10 to the cafe, which covered us for all day and night for our motorhome. There are 4 electric hook up bays that need to be booked in advance at the steamship company. The cafe staff were extremely friendly and helpful and also the food was lovely. .

Lovely small cafe with outdoor seating. Very good menu with fresh mussels and langoustins on it as well as the usual offerings. Nice view down the Clyde from it.

Stopped off here for a light lunch. Extensive menu from breakfast items through to full meals, all home made. Ours was both filling and delicious. Excellent, friendly service, made to feel very welcome.

Not another eatery open all the way from Helensburgh,so pulled up locally once back in Kilcreggan. The dog was allowed in and our lunches were really tasty.

Stopped by for lunch as my grandparents, aunts and uncles stayed in Kilcreggan in the 40s/50s. We had macaroni cheese and chips which was nice. Lovely helpful servers. Nice and clean with hand sanitizer for use.

Nice location, and interior. However I was astonished to find absolutely no vegan options except ice cream! Strange nowadays, and disappointing.

What a great wee cafe, we thoroughly enjoyed our food which was really good value for money and we were served by a delightful and professional team of young staff that knew exactly what they were doing, a total credit to their training and trust me in this day and age its hard to find, thank you for a lovely experience and see you soon.

Lovely little cafe with friendly staff. Lots of cakes and ice creams/toppings to chose from. Reasonably priced items. We had drinks, ice cream and cakes so cannot comment on the savoury options. Scones and cakes were delicious.

We have just celebrated my daughter’s wedding and the next day we were having a garden party at our home and we’re lucky enough to choose Cafe at Kilcreggan to do our catering Siona Trevor Christian and team were outstanding from the day we booked in 2019 and then when Covid hit kept the booking open for us until we were able to enjoy the big day in 2022 They set up the garden for us with marquee and on the day off the party arrived promptly with the hog roast. The guests were delighted with the pork rolls and there was plenty of hog roast for the 70 plus guests. Delicious!!! Price too was very reasonable and cannot find any reason for complaint of any kind. Well done to all at Cafe at Kilcreggan and hopefully Siona we will use you again in the future. Cake to die for. Excellent coffee. I wish I had been hungrier as the food coming out if the kitchen looked superb. The staff were attentive and very welcoming. A really comfortable place to stop for a break. Oh and nearly forgot.......the views are STUNNING. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had organised a party for our birthday in Craigrownie Castle in Scotland in June 22 and invited 20 people during 3 days. So we needed 3 breakfast, 1 birthday dinner, 3 lunch and 2 dinner. We have decided to entrust the total organization of the meals to Kilcreggan Caffe in Cove and Siona who had been recommended to us by the castle owner. We had been totally delighted with the result over what we were expecting. Siona was at first time and always, totally available for us. We could talk to her at any time. Obtained answers to our questions very quickly. She was very patient and kind to us. The menu suggestions was perfect and varied. She took care to food allergies. Everything was delicious, fresh, and well prepared. The quantities were great. Above all we didn’t had to worry about anything : everything that had been decided was respected (menu, meeting time ...) and the team was gorgeous. We warmly recommend Café Kilcreggan if you need a caterer or to organize an event, they are just perfect, honest and very professional. Many thanks to them. Marie-Annick and Régis Huvey Paris. Absolutely terrible breakfast never had anything worse. Would like to think a a village we can do so much better. The eggs were white the other food was frozen. They didn't even offer a sausage.

First ever visit to this pleasant village, some beautiful houses with great views across the water before reaching the small rows of shops and cafes/bar, popped in to Kilcreggan antiques presided over by Roo Irvine (Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip)good things do come in small packages, quaint wee shop full to the brim with various items of bling etc and more stuff from days gone by, time for lunch outdoors at the Café at Kilcreggan, staff were friendly and welcoming serving good food topped off with a great view across the water.👍

Food and service used to be excellent here. However ordered lunch today, waited around 40 minutes, time was ticking so asked if it could be a takeaway, we were given an apology that it was a trainee chef (feel sorry for the guy being put under that pressure). After being given lunch as a takeaway with no utensils to eat it, it got more disappointing when the food was opened, largely unedible and went in the bin - this is expensive stuff to put straight in a bin, hence 1 star rating. I hope the owners get a grip of the situation and return it to the good cafe it used to be.

Lovely cafe, in a great location. Unfortunately the young staff were rushed off their feet, but they were pleasant and helpful.

Stopped for a bite to eat as a friend recommended it from a previous visit. Due to us all being at separate tables the orders were taken separate so they weren't muddled up. Drinks were fine but were either cold or finished by the time food was served. Each table got at different times and other newer customers fed first and the last order not even correct. Mentioned it when paying for coffee and got the attitude of these things happen... then the chef/boss appeared behind the staff guy once he admitted his mistake with attitude saying "I mean we ARE really busy"... busy or not, we won't recommend cold, tastless food and a terrible customer service! Being that I've worked in the service industry there just is no reason for bad manners when they get it wrong. Had they been genuine in their apology I wouldn't be here!!

Husband I called in for a meal. We both went for soup off special board chicken broth delicious, good bowl hot,creamy served with bread and butter, I ordered home made lasagne husband chicken goujons. Chef came out to say no lasagne left choose langoustine salad. Husband very disappointed with his goujons not the crisp batter he was expecting more like Birdseye from the freezer. My salad was huge but a few more prawns was expected for the price. Their cake selection looked good. Not in a hurry to return

I had a meeting in Kilcreggan and as I was coming over from Edinburgh decided to bring my folks for a jaunt. They went to cafe for a cuppa and then I met them for lunch. Great view over the water, welcoming and warm staff....

Took a very pleasant drive here last Sunday for breakfast. The full breakfast was fantastic, all freshly made and very tasty. Service was spot on. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great view across the clyde too and a great way to spend sunday morning. Highly, highly recommended. Will be back.

Reserved a table for a birthday lunch for 3. Arrived and told staff member that I had a reserved table, told to take any seats, our table was not reserved. We sat down and gave our order for starters and mains. Cutlery came and were...

Dissapointed. After the reviews here we thought popping in would be a good idea. They were out of 3 things, including coffee. The food that did arrive was not what we expected e.g the goujons were actually cheap frozen chicken nuggets. This meal also left both of us with a bad 'stomach ache'. The staff were lovely though. You win some you lose some.

A bit inflexible for 50p when telling me their card machine was not working and I had only £6 on me after ordering. Needed to cancel my sparkling water. Pragmatism was called for.

A first class return after too many years. Attentive service with care. Fantastic coffee followed by delicious cream scones. Good disabled access with more than ample outdoor covered seating. Doorstep parking, Disabled and other. Good menu selection and traditional ice cream options like Knickerbocker Glory & Banana Split on offer. Lovely views across the Clyde.
