Food and service
The service from Charlie was excellent and the food from start to finish was extremely tasty.
Had read this place did gluten free so stopped in before some sightseeing. Very disappointed. They only do gluten free meals. I asked about snacks or cakes but absolutely nothing available. This is strange because they have gluten free bread and could easily do a sandwich. So I sat sadly with a drink whilst my husband ate. Needless to say we won’t be returning.
Popped in on our way to loch Lomond, so glad we did.
We had the sandwich and cakes with the quality coffee.
The service is very professional, the young blonde girl and the Liverpool lady are l credit to the cafe, very clean and a wonderful choice of food and drink.
It would be good if they did a soup and a sandwich deal and possibly a few other deals.
That said, it's a five star cafe with five star staff .
There's something special about this place -- we entered with no idea - just wanted a coffee after driving from Edinburgh and looking at the abbey - then we were taken in by the menu and the homemade bread. - vegetarian and vegan options. Amazing coffee and home-cooked food and fresh sourdough, this place feels the love and care for its patrons. Highly recommend.
My family and I regularly visit the Cedar Cafe . My sister and her husband from Edinburgh come down yesterday to meet us and they were treating me and my partner for lunch .
Both sister and my partner very happy with the Sunday roast and my brother in law happy with his macaroni . However my baked potato was one of the worst I have had anywhere . Prawn filling was fine , but the potato skin was solid dry -probably over cooked . The inside of the potato was a strange consistency gluey stretchy look . Not fluffy and hardly much of it . Small side salad was on the plate also. This well baked potato cost my sister £12.50.
The young waitress asked us how our meal was I said to her awful , she thought I was joking but it was the clear i wasn’t. I got an apology from her but that certainly didn’t make me feel any better . Came home still starving .
I really do like this place but they need to up their game . Really really disappointed.
Plus side , it’s clean and spacious and nice staff , though some may need better training .

I previously had a negative experience with this pub. But, upon approaching the staff (thank you Joshua) about it, they were utterly respectful in discussion and professional in their responses. They explained the difficult circumstances, and they provided nothing less than exceptional service as a result. Really, when it comes to St Andrews, the only pub to feel at home in.

Service was fantastic! the girl who helped us just couldn’t do enough, and was so accommodating.
Food was ok—but just felt like standard pub kitchen food, rather than smokehouse bbq.
Great deli near the centre of Ullapool. We popped in for coffee and take away sandwiches - fantastic food, good ingredients and freshly made sandwiches to order. There is no eat-in option, but there is a good range of quality foodstuffs available to buy. Really friendly staff too.
