Always get exceptional service at Tip Top, my great nieces are very fussy and love the meals here. The food is always fresh and flavoursome. Would recommend anyone give Tip Top a try, you won't regret it.
This is a really good restaurant. Polite, regular service and the food was delicious, with interesting specials and delicate flavourings. Recommend the sushi and the tofu ramen. Will definitely go back. Advise you book as, unsurprisingly, they are popular.
The Potting Shed bistro is a hidden gem. We have been several times over the past couple of years and lunch here makes a lovely day out from our home in Edinburgh.
The food is really good and we've always found the service friendly and efficient.
It has a quirky, rustic setting which adds to the atmosphere. The menu includes sandwiches and cakes or options for a full lunch. They even tweaked the menu for me. I would definitely recommend for informal eating.
Unas tartas súper lindas y un servicio encantador! Tenemos algunos pequeños fantasmas de merengue y somos muy agradables. tazas de café eran un poco pequeñas, pero todas las cosas buenas vienen en paquetes pequeños ❤️🤣
Delighted to have an excellent light lunch here. Very warm welcome and all the staff so helpful. Service was fast and the food delicious, warmed ciabatta sandwiches followed by tasty carrot cake and very good decaffeinated coffee. So pleased to see this reopened under new management who really are doing a wonderful job. Wishing the team all the best for the 2025 season.
Stopped in past for a quick coffee and cakes. Was pleasantly impressed with the service, nice coffee and scones. Toilets were lovely, clean and fresh smelling too!
We went for lunch on our way to Blackness Castle. I had 1/2 lobster and burger, very happy with it. Although a Maine lobster is better. Service excellent, good service and prices reasonable. Plus nice beer selection.

Very welcoming, rooms very clean and comfortable. Afternoon tea £12.50 precooked was delicious, just what we needed after the 6 hrs drive. Only advice shame breakfast wasn't a fresh cooked, just a bowl of ceramic and crossiant in the room. Tea, coffee, milk supplied and there was a small fridge in the room.
My wee girl loves this place... thought I would treat her tonight but when I turned up it was closed and can't get any response when calling :( where did you go steakhouse?

I have no idea how in the world the hotel has such a high rating. The rooms are large and the bed looked comfortable, but the design and colour scheme was atrocious. It DID NOT look like the pictures. It was almost entirely brown or muted greens and just very ugly unless you're a major fan of brown.
The food was excellent. I did consider staying for the chef alone.
That said, they're bad. I'm intersex and was super excited to see the gender neutral title of Mx. on their hotel reservation website thinking that they were accepting and welcoming. They're not. The staff completely ignored my preferences and called me "Madam" or "Ma'am" the entire time. I ended up not staying the night. NOT WORTH IT.
