Puro Pizzeria in North Lanarkshire

Oh my God! They were the best goddam pizzas I have tasted in a very long time. No cardboard pre-made bases. Rolled and stretched fresh dough made in front of you. Toppings we're incredible. Actually looked like a proper Italian pizza, and tasted like one. I bet this place gets super busy.I got lucky tonight but I would expect to order in advance in future. You don't find many little gems like this very often. These beat the hell out of ANY pizza parlour in Airdrie or any of these multi-cuisine takeaways. I can't wait to go back. Truly amazing, well done ! Reading the review just before mine made me chuckle about better pizza from an Indian takeaway. 1. No real Indian takeaways in Airdrie 2. Indian restaurants are hardly renowned for making Italian food. 3. Probably never experienced a fresh dough pizza.

£14 for a below average soggy pizza way no taste or flavour. Get a far better pizza out a Indian takeaway for half the price!! Thought a would try since the reviews are okay but obviously people in this area clearly don't know a good pizza. Shambles

Absolutely wonderful evening, we celebrated my uncle's birthday. There were 13 adults and 2 children under 7. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful, super friendly and helpful staff. We'll definitely be back, thank you!

We stayed in Airdrie for one night on our way up to the northeast of Scotland. Went to Puro Pizza because it was close and had good reviews. So glad we did - I can honestly say it was the best pizza we have eaten since we went to Naples. Really good. We ate in the restaurant. Modern decor, nice indie music, fab tasty pizza .

We had a very disappointing experience on our visit to Puro It was cold and unwelcoming. There didn't seem to be anyone specifically in charge 2 front of house staff and 2 chefs, and when asking what was available, I got answers from all four of them 2 of the dishes I requested were not available, and the reason given was that they had only opened after being closed for a week It's just not good enough Based on my experience, I will not rush back. There are some lovely restaurants within walking distance that I'm sure would have been far more accommodating In such tough times, Puro need to do a little bit better

Great place that has been recommended to us by a friend and now we been here 2 times and each time was fantastic. Pizza is delicious, great music , friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon.

Delicious wood fired pizza all freshly made in front of you. Small dining area but a warm a friendly welcome is always assured. Only downside is that on two occasions there was too much topping on the pizza, not a complaint just that my preference on pizza is that less is more. Definitely recommend Puro Pizza for fresh, good quality, wood fired pizza.

Brilliant pizza just like back home in Italy. Rice balls are also lovely. Best authentic Italian pizza around for miles and reasonably priced. Squisito!

Ingredients are good but more work needed on there dough recipe. Lacked any real flavour on the white pizza and no real rise in the dough due to the amount of EVOO used. Focaccia was nice other than the amount of cheap dried Italian herbs on it. Better than dominos but had the potential to be so much more given the oven they have.

Great authentic pizzas here, good selection, nice and thin if you like it that way. Oh and try the Nutella Cheesecake!

My husband and I visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary.. I have drove by lots of times and just assumed this was a takeaway only.. The bruschetta was almost the same size as the pizza . It was amazing.. We shared the Italian sausage pizza.. To die for. This is the nicest pizza I have ever had.. We arrived at 5pm and quite a few tables came in just after us .. The service was 1st class . I didn't get the name of the waitress however she was excellent . My husband is a chef so we don't eat out often but we will definitely be back .

Been told on several occasions, 'we only do skin on fries' Order last night, basic fries, not skin on. Girl then blatantly lied on the phone. Pizzas are a hit or a miss. Disappointing

Just finished a fabulous margarita pizza, absolutely delicious, really brightened up a miserable day. Pizza bites were unbelievable, who cares if jeans are tight. Well done Puro.👏👏👏👏

I’ve got to say, this place does pizza’s that are every bit as good as what you’d eat in the Neapolitan Rivera. Trust me, they are delicious!! Also, they do Nutella bites which are to die for, well they probably will kill me as I’m diabetic but I guess you only live one once.

Only recently discovered this hidden gem Have ordered pizza from here several times recently and can confirm this is best pizza in Airdrie Have had 4 cheese, vegetarian & margarita and all have been lovely The special oven cooks things beautifully just as i like Friendly , helpful staff and quick service Also has a few seats if you want to sit in so covers all bases

Small restaurant with great tasting pizza. Normally go to paesano in Glasgow and been meaning to try here for a while. With eat out to help out we thought we'd give it a go. Saved future trips to Glasgow and will be back here as the dough is fresh and there options for toppings are much better. Could do with an improved drinks menu but that's all.

Outstanding pizza but I'll no be buying the 20bucks wine again. FYI, Pizza is 5 stars.

Not only are the pizzas generous in size with toppings that are fresh and tasty, it’s all washed down with Italian beer or spuma (bit like prosecco but better for pizza). Really tasty - am now wanting another one just writing this! Very friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Touch-free hand sanitiser discreetly on the table. The best tiramisu for a good while. A lovely meal I’d happily pay for, even without the offer.

We got 6 lockdown pizza’s to celebrate my father in laws 87th birthday. We also got nick jacks by the way of potato croquettes lasagne bites and wee rice balls. Every one a gem. The lot was scoffed no doggie to go home with. Highly recommended and we’ll be back 🥳

Undoubtedly the best pizzeria in Airdrie. The pizzas are fresh and crisp, salads are amazing, the desserts are to die for. We've had deliveries because of Covid19, service is fast and efficient, the staff are very friendly. If you haven't tried Puro yet, give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

This was the second time ordering last weekend , both deliveries extremely quick food really nice Firsts weeks wasn’t overly warm but the calzone tasted nice, tonight’s order the pizza was lovely however the caramelised onion wasn’t on the margarita , the only topping we asked and paid for which is bit disappointing especially as this is an extra but can’t fault the delivery being quick and food being nice and appreciate it must be busy time at the moment. Everything Else in order was there and really nice tho ,

Terrible experience. We decided to order a nice anniversary meal. Given that we can't go outside in the current situation, we ordered to food for delivery. We placed an order at 5.30pm, the estimated delivery time was an hour and forty mins later at 7.10pm. This seemed long but we decided to wait. By 7.30 it hadn't arrived. My fiance called, and they said they'd call the driver and get back to us. 20 mins later with no news my fiance called back. The driver had taken it to the wrong house. They couldn't offer us a refund at this point as the driver said the food had been delivered....long story short, when they called back they told us it was delivered to the wrong place. They then couldn't refund our card as the card machine wasn't working, so the driver was sent back to ours with a cash refund. While everyone was very apologetic, it doesn't really take away from the fact that someone else ate our anniversary dinner, and despite ordering at 5.30 we didn't eat (frozen pizza) until three hours later. If you're looking for Italian food right now, would suggest elsewhere.

Decided to give a delivery from here a shot and, despite the current situation with COVID-19, it didn't only arrive on time but a whole 25 minutes early, which is practically unheard of delivery times right now. The food itself was amazing, reminded me very much of Paesano pizza in Glasgow. It is quite expensive, but absolutely worth it. Will definitely be ordering from here again, fantastic.

We have placed an order through just eat at the cost of over £20 including parmesan chips, lasagne that included garlic bread and a margarita pizza ... the chips were under cooked ... the lasagne had no mince through it and the sauce was completely tasteless and the pizza is just not worth a comment. After waiting for 1.5 hours for our delivery it went straight in the bin. The food was a complete let down with not one grain of seasoning however put full meal was covered in melted cheese . I would never eat here again ... thank you for wasting our money during these hard times.

Ordered as a takeaway from just eat. Unaware this restaurant existed, my only complaint being the food was just warm but it was at New Year so guessing they were very busy. Anyway about the food, wow!!!! Not long back from my first vacation in Italy and the standard of taste of our pizza was authentic and definately fresh. I give an extra star for the bruscetta. I was expecting the usual as we normally get in restaurants, being a portion sized bit of bread with topping but this was almost as big as a pizza and amazingly tasty. Will be visiting soon for a sit in meal. Oh! Sorry. I do have a complaint. You are not doing deliveries tonight. It was the fact I was looking that prompted my review. Food is amazing. Thank You.

Tremendous pizzas from a great wee place; slowly becoming a borderline addiction though.

Ordered two pizzas hoping I will get lovely crispy authentic Italian pizza , their ingredients and the look of pizza on their Facebook page really got me. However what I received is far far from what I was expecting. I could say it was a soup served in pizza dough. There is no other way of describing it. It was with ricotta and bufala mozzarella, but having a pizza like this in the past in other places (Italy too) it certainly wasn't so soupy. When calling the restaurant I've been told it's because of bufala mozarella tends to get wet. Well.... Okay. They were helpful and offered sending a new one. Fair enough, thanks that's nice of them, star for that 🌟 still the dough was chewy and I can say that I will not order again. Never thought I need a spoon go eat pizza. Sorry.

Says on web site they open 12:00 on fridays, i’ve been waiting over 30 minutes and it’s still closed!

I called for a pizza and chips 17.50 they said it would be 45 mins so I was still waiting then got a call at 19.30 to say they have no chips left so I want sweet potato fries which is a big difference to normal chips so she said will I refund chips i said why would I want the pizza with no chips plus that meant the pizza wasn’t even on its way so they refunded my money onto my card which I was not happy with as how do they know I have money for other take away and refused to come and give me cash refund I told them it was rediculus they said they would giv me 10 percent of nex order why would I order from them again I’m so fuming really bad service never will I order again.

Wrote a bad review about puro about 6 months ago,but decided to order a pizza tonight and got to say I was pleasantly surprised. Pizza really tasty lots of topping and nutella dessert was massive and yummy.glad I gave this place a second chance.

Twice I have been in for take away an twice they have not put mozzarella on my foccahia after requesting it. Also tonight I went in an it happened but even worse they brought it to me with cold buffalo cheese an asked me if that's ok.... erm no I wanted hot mozzarella melted. Absolutely shocking service would not go back!!!

Highly recommend a visit. Popped in for a takeaway, the lasagna was delicious and came with a big portion of garlic bread, also the Pizza was phenomenal, a real taste of Italy. Nice area to sit in for a meal aswell and easy parking right outside the door.

Ordered a pizza tonight and it was really poor quality. It was black round the outside and soggy in the middle. Bits missed from the order too. Wouldn't order from here again.

Just spent £50.on a take away.order was wrong.pizzas where burnt black round edge.i think they used blow torch on them.very poor service.wont be back.

Pizza was lovely, tasty. Place is clean. One downside was we sat for 1 hour after our order was taken before being served our Pizza. The phone orders seemed to take precedent over the sit in diners. Also, we were not attended to during this one hour wait and had to ask what was happening. As such we left no tip. Please dont let this put you off going as food is great,and they are friendly, I just hope they get better at their their timing and attention to dining customers.

Popped in for Pizza for 2 - friendly service. Excellent pizzas - very tasty. Facilities very clean. Quiet for a Saturday evening - hopefully an exception. Deserves to be busier. Not licensed but still worth a visit. Would recommend.

pizza is really authentic and amazing value for money! have lots of vegetarian and vegan options plus traditional meat and fish toppings. had a delivery which arrived promptly and was still hot, also sat in a few times and staff have been lovely for the whole visit. really recommend :)

Pizza is phenomenal. Dough is freshly rolled out in front of u and transferred to a huge traditional stone oven. Have visited many times and can’t fault. Delivery is also very prompt. Fantastic prices for what’s on offer.

Loved our pizzas and service was very attentive. Even went so far as to provide a pile of extra napkins to help us dry off when we arrived drowned from a rain shower! Food is consistently great here.

After waiting over an hour and a half for incorrect starters to arrive we walked out. We were one of only three tables in Puro so you'd think they'd be able to cope.

Staff cleaned table with filthy cloth and then proceeded to put hand in parmasan cheese and sprinkled it over pizza. Also pizza not cooked for long enough , very doughy. Won’t be back .Wanted to give no stars really but had to give one as a choice.

Once again a fabulous pizza at this great wee place cooked in wood burning oven just like being home in Italy! Not to be missed!
