Long standing Italian restaurant in Motherwell. Not many restaurants in the town but never been disappointed when visiting normally before the football at Fir Park.

We eat there as often as we can ,family and friends buy vouchers for each other. Food great,service friendly and efficient, over 25 years always a treat

Came here for the first time about a year ago and been back about four times since. Lunch menu is a bit limited and I struggled to find a starter. Dinner menu has a better choice. Friendly and convivial atmosphere and the staff always seem genuinely happy to see you. It’s always busy even at lunch time so better to book. Lots of people without a booking turned away on the lunchtime I was in. The food is well presented and tasty. I’ve seen some people on here saying other local ‘Italian’ restaurants are better. Not the case! If you’re looking for cheap pasta and pizza options this is not the place. The menu is more refined but still family friendly. A really nice place for lunch, dinner, couples, families and celebrations. Clearly has a very loyal clientele.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. Need I say more. Tonight we celebrated our anniversary and our meal exceeded our expectations. A must visit.

Family run Italian. Fantastic service, nice atmosphere, great food. I was so pleasantly surprised. Feels more up market and we were only around £80, including the cocktails, which were great, I'd recommend the Mermaid Water. I'll definitely be back.

Went for dinner here last week and looked forward to it due to all of the reviews. I can honestly say I was sadly disappointed. “Chef Mike” needs retiring - nuclear hot food only achievable by a microwave, dessert of the day changing to another dessert of the day after ordering, atmosphere only achieves a 3 star due to the 80s music being played - love me some Erasure 😂 I love a restaurant that pops warm bread down to nibble on while checking the menu. Random 3 slices of bread for 2 and on this occasion, Chef Mike would have been welcomed to heat this up a bit if they didn’t have an oven. Tony Mac’s is a few doors down and despite it being a chain, I’ve had nicer (and better value) meals in there.

I was really looking forward to our anniversary dinner here after hearing great reviews. I’ve ate at Italian restaurants in various places across the world and I wish I’d went a few doors down to the Tony Mac’s chain rather than the meal here or went further to our wee favourite Coia's Cafe in Glasgow. Never had lasagne as suspiciously hot and bland as this. I’m not a fan of adding salt to anything but found myself reaching for it. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered lasagne in any restaurant before that’s never had garlic bread brought with the meal either. Didn’t risk dessert after the disappointing mains (not that they had my choice) so headed next door for a sundae. My advice to anyone considering a visit is to check out ‘Coia's Cafe Restaurant’ in Dennistoun for amazing Italian food.

My recent visit left me thoroughly unsatisfied. The lasagne was a disaster, microwaved to an inch of its life, lacked any flavor and genuinely unappetizing. The overall quality of the food barely reached the level of blandness; it was a far cry from the food I had anticipated by other reviews. Unfortunately, this experience was a major letdown, and I would caution others to manage their expectations when considering this restaurant.

Really busy for lunch almost a full house. The food and service was magnificent so well done to Arthur and the team. My guest was a first time visitor and vegan, nothing was a problem and great first impression.

I absolutely appreciate there isn't a great deal of competition in motherwell but I genuinely think this restaurant has become lazy tbh. Lasagne tasteless, bruschetta average at best, cauliflower soup ok at best and to serve frozen fries...please stop! People can easily get the train into town or go to Hamilton and I fear your days will be numbered with this lacklustre approach. Service absolutely pleasant and appropriate. Restaurant clean etc But please dont take the clientele for idiots...this is so below average now I fear you will be left behind, I dont see or hear any of our children (mid 20s) going here. Don't say that you weren't told....

Italian restaurant in Motherwell. Lovely setting. Busy but seats spread out. Attentive servers, fabulous food, very big portions. Nice atmosphere. I had the soup of the day (Chicken), spaghetti bolognese (partner had the steak) and vanilla fudge sundae (my partner had the sticky toffee pudding) 9/10 look forward to coming back soon.

Im a local guy from Motherwell, but review lots of places as honestly as I can. This outstanding restaurant is a local treasure in Motherwell. On this occasion it was a family birthday with 24 people, the service was timely and accurate, the starters were varied and fresh, the main course was absolutely sublime, and my goodness the Fudge and ice cream dessert was awesome. Many thanks to artier and his hard working team, need to get back down soon.....

Took advantage of the very reasonably priced early evening menu. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy but we were greeted very quickly and taken to our table. Front of house are excellent, very friendly and efficient. The food, too, was excellent. Four starters of pate, mushrooms and bruschetta and mains of lasagne, chicken in pepper sauce and haddock were delicious. Would definitely return.

Lovely intimate venue perfect for family, friends or a romantic decor. Modern decor, clean bathrooms and pleasant attentive staff Standard Italian menu with lots of choice. Good sized portions and was reasonably price at approx £25/head without alcohol and about £40/head for those drinking wine. No complaints and would return.

Lovely cosy restaurant, with nice intimate atmosphere. Food is fresh and of high quality with a good variety of options to suit different tastes. Staff are always friendly and willing to adapt dishes to suit individual requirements. It is quite expensive but you get what you pay for.
