Food is great service can be terrible at times too many waitresses trying to serve u... over 15 mins we waited for someone to take our food order though had 5 different people ask if u had our drink order took

Food is as good as it always was but unfortunately the service has slipped. Waited 25 minutes for a slice of cheesecake, decided to just forget it and leave. When paying the bill and mentioning the cheesecake we were repeatedly asked if we wanted the cheesecake to take home. Not exactly the point is it? We repeatedly refused and felt as if we were somehow doing something wrong with the looks we got. We were then promptly ignored as newly arrived customers were given the full attention of the 'hostess' whilst we stood waiting to pay. Unfortunately I won't be back.

Large party for a birthday, staff were very helpful and patient especially when the kids got a bit loud nearer the end of the night. Limited choice of Italian food on the set menu so a wee bit disappointed but we had a very enjoyable evening and glad we were all seated together. Thank you . Benkaz was very accommodating.

Visited on Mothers Day (not intentionally) there was only a fixed menu that day but it was good, plenty to select from 3 courses. Much appreciated. Service good not intrusive. Price great.

Great food, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. We went with a party of 11 and couldn’t fault the service or food.

Came here for dinner as a party of 3, service was slightly slow as only 1 person seemed able to take orders despite several staff on duty. Food was very good and decent value for money, all staff were friendly so would happily return and recommend

Had a great evening there, three courses all exceptional, cocktails were amazing and all in all great value for money! Staff were friendly and welcoming which makes all the difference.

Waited half an hour for drinks but meal was lovely would definitely go again

Food was extremely salty, couldn’t eat it. It was not edible at all. Asked for drinks and 20 minutes later had to ask again as they never came back. Took them 25 minutes to bring us the bill after us asking. Heard such good things about this place but I definitely don’t recommend and will never be back.

Got a £25 voucher for doing someone's Christmas shift this year so used it tonight, my newborn baby, girlfriend and I decided we needed a nice night to celebrate the birth. The food was so nice, I had a steak cooked perfectly and an amazing sauce to go with it and my girlfriend had the carbonara and there was zero complaints amongst us. The staff were so attentive on all fronts and couldn't be happier to help and move us to a seat with enough space to bring in our pram and deal with our baby. The baked Alaska is a must when going if you haven't tried it. I will definitely be back and will also be recommending to my friends and family. Wish there was an option for 6 stars

Was out for dinner tonight with my sister, service was absolutely awful!! Waited 25 minutes for chips to go with our meal that we asked for 3 times and drinks that were ordered but never came. Asked to speak to the manager, there isn't one. No one in charge of front of house. Owner in the kitchen who wouldn't come out to speak to me. Only 5" tables in so not even busy. I will certainly not be back and definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone

Best restaurant in Scotland by far. Colin Adams said it was a dive and that he had the worst steak hes ever had from there. But he's talking rubbish he's just feert to admit how good it is

It took 30 minutes to give our order. By the time we received our food 3 tables who came in after us had eaten and were waiting on their mains. We got food an hour after we were seated. Waitress grumpy when we complained. Porcini mushroom sauce overpowering, battered haddock slimy and greasy and bizarre veg combo of cauliflower cheese and ham and peas in the same dish. Unappetising. Last time we go there

A very friendly place to visit, the staff always have a smile for the customers. Been here a number of times with family and have always found the food to be to a high standard, served well and priced very reasonably. Will visit again.

Had a lovely meal with friends the steak I had was delicious cooked to perfection just what a medium rare should be staff service excellent.

As an ex-Chef of 12 yrs, I am sure that meals have not changed dradtically. The service was great, the meals were cooked correctly. Starters were Pate and Prawn Cocktail The pate was far too salty, the Prawn Cocktail had a few flat lettuce leaves, normally it should have a small hadful, with prawns around/in front of slightly over the lettuce. Prawn Cocktail is traditionally served with quarter slices of brown bread. Main Course were Steak Pie and Haddock We were not informed that NO vegetables would be served and not asked if we wanted them. mixed vegetables with steak pie and peas with the fish is standard fare. Garlic mayonnaise was served with the fish, I like garlic mayonnaise, but certainly not with fish. Dessert Cheesecake Brought in, so no problems. Covid People sitting at tables back to back, we're literally two to three feet apart. Three Staff walking around with face masks under their noses, total waste, they are breathing in Covid through their noses. An air conditioner was switched on, blowing cold air and with it, spreading Covid if it was present. For an Italian restaurant, there was no pasta on the set menu????

I really don’t like to say bad things about this restaurant but I feel in this instance I must.I have visited occasionally over time and been quite satisfied with both the service and the food but on our last visit I had to go to the toilet and because of COVID restrictions I had to wait till the toilet became vacant..When the door opened a member of the kitchen staff emerged an walked straight past the sanitising point and into the kitchen.I did my toilet and turned to wash my hands,was shocked to see a perfectly dry sink and no wet towels in bin.Evidently the person before me had walked out without washing up.I’m afraid I will not be returning to this restaurant until hygiene procedures are seriously looked at

You pick the food you want. You order it. They cook it. You eat it its OK ... Not here it was perfect as good as I imagined when I ordered it. Stunningly super food can't wait to go back.

Gorgeous food and amazing, caring staff. The venue is very clean and fresh. The only downside is that there always seems to be a baby screaming near you.

Horrible experience today . Restaurant was absolutely freezing on arrival . Had to look up menu on my phone at table as it was all online . Ordered steak cooked well done , It came to table and looked lovely only to discover it was very rare in middle . I requested it to be taken back to kitchen and cooked to order . When the meal was returned it was burnt on the outside , still rare in middle and very dry and my vegetables that was on the plate did not come back . On the whole RUBBISH EXPERIENCE

Loved this place...great food, friendly staff and we felt safe with the restrictions in place for social distancing.

Cant fault a single thing!! This is by far the best meal I have had while out in such a long time. Sticking to social distance rules too. We ordered from the reduced menu and I would recommend the sirloin steak for main. Perfectly cooked and could have ate it twice 😂🙈 Dont hesitate if you are thinking about trying here. You won't be disappointed 👍

Amazing food, lovely friendly service. We had the set menu. The lasagna is lovely. The chicken goujons are made with in a lovely crisp batter. The sticky toffee pudding is light and delicious and I could eat the toffee sauce all day long.

Found this lovely wee gem. Thanks to Google I searched restaurants near me and this came up. Only negative issue with getting the evening menu on website. Ended up going as reviews good. So glad we did. Excellent food, staff great & venue nice. Will definitely go back. They have a great value lunch menu which you can see on the website. Hopefully they will of sorted out the evening menu for the website as we were close to not going as we couldnt get to see it. Phoned and asked if someone could email us a pdf. Pleasantly said they couldn't while open ( I could understand as when we got there they were busy). Definetly worth a visit. I'm not an italian fan as such but I have already planned my next visit and food plenty great choices and variety Give it a go you will not be disappointed
