Hay diferentes tamaños.Está buenísimo y a un precio muy bueno.Hay opción de comerlo en mesas dentro del local y opción de llevártelo para comer fuera.Si tenéis horario español, en fines de semana, es posible que no lleguéis a comerlo, ya que una vez que se acaba el cerdo cierran la tienda, así que es recomendado que vayáis un poco pronto (12,30) para aseguraros la comida.La chica que nos sirvió fue muy maja.

I spotted a recommendation for Oink on YouTube a few months ago and promised myself that the next time I was visiting Edinburgh, my port of call would be 'Oink.I was not disappointed; the service, friendly staff and the attention to hygiene and social distancing rules couldn't be faulted. My visit was to the Canongate branch.

Stumbled across Oink at lunchtime and couldn't be happier about it! Simple food, but absolutely delicious and inexpensive. Perfect for a quick meal while sightseeing in Edinburgh!

Mouthwatering pork with a good selection of additional extras (haggis for example) The pork scratching was crisp and cooked perfectly. Much better than a Maccies or BK!!!!

Walked past this place early morning and looked and smelt so good we made a point of coming back at lunch after some touring and boy was it good! Had haggis stuffing, a variety of sauces, crackling! Omg just so good! We going back before we leave! The guy who served us was also really nice, told us about a few places to go and see whilst we touring around Edinburgh, thank you!!

Non conoscevo Oink e devo dire che è stata una gran bella scoperta. Ho gustato un ottimo panino con una buona birra, ad un prezzo onesto. Personale molto gentile. Dato il periodo Covid ho dovuto prendere tutto da asporto, ed è stato ben confezionato.Bellissimo il logo!

Not super cheap but it was tasty so no regrets. Would recommend. Crispy skin really is crispy, be careful with your teeth. This place is takeaway only right now.

Abbiamo preso un panino attratti dal giudizio dei clienti e devo ammettere che siamo restati soddisfattissimi. Maiale arrosto sfilettato con salse a scelta. La carne di maiale veramente ottima, accompagnata da una birra, mi sembra di sentirne ancora il gusto. Altro che mc donald e simili. Se non avete sempo e soldi per andare in un ristorante e siete a Edimburgo non esitate ad entrare in questo piccolo ma simpatico locale. Qualitò, gentilezza e buon prezzo garantiti.

We visited twice at lunchtimes during our few days in Edinburgh. Nothing fancy - pulled pork sandwiches, pulled straight from the whole pig in the window. Absolutely delicious and great value. £7.50 for a sandwich, a bag of kettle chips and a 500ml drink. I’d have been happy paying that anywhere - but on the royal mile you can’t get anything worthwhile at that price. They have 2 other shops in Edinburgh - we didn’t visit them, but looking from outside they looked just as good and seemed to do the same deals

Having already heard of Oink before coming to Edinburgh, I'd earmarked this place before we visited.After a mornings trek up to Arthur's Seat we called in on our way up to the Royal Mile.It's fair to say this is the BEST Pulled Pork I've ever had. It was soft, juicy, and full of flavour. The staff were extremely friendly and the menu has plenty of choice, including Haggis Stuffing!I'd recommend opting for the Middle Sized bun, as the piglet is more of a finger bun, but none the less its still a must try if you're a Hog Roast fan.

Pulled pork at its best, a lovely cafe just up the road from Holyrood Palace, great place to stop for a snack before or after the Palace or Parliament Buildings.

Fell in accidentally trying to buy a tee-shirt and left with a piglet which I shared with my wife.Quite honestly as a guy born in raised in Philly I know sandwiches. And have had some really great ones all over the states and wider world. This on is sloppy indeed... But this sandwich ROCKED!Sadly no shirts for sale, but a tremendous sandwich that can;t be missed when in Scotland!

Always enjoy a quick lunch from Oink when in Edinburgh. Its fresh, its simple, its been well prepared and its far better than a lot of pre-prepared or take away snacks from other venues. Choice of size, choice of extras - apple sauce, haggis etc. Sit in or take-away! Give it a go!

Nie zamierzaliśmy korzystać z oferty tego baru, ale zachęciła nas kolejka i świnka z rusztu na wystawie wyglądająca nadzwyczaj smakowicie. Nie zawiedliśmy się do tego stopnia, że na drugi dzień również spożyliśmy taką samą kanapkę. Bułka z mięsem wygląda niepozornie, ale jest bardzo kaloryczna - nie żałują mięsa - a ponadto bardzo smaczna, co jest także zasługą pysznych sosów. Z wielką przyjemnością tam zajrzę w razie ponownej wizyty w Edynburgu. Mało miejsca w środku - warto wziąć na wynos.

Especialidad en bocadillos de carne de cerdo. Los hay en tres tamaños posibles y con diferentes salgas a elegir. Disponen de tres locales en Edimburgo y es especialmente curioso ver el cerdo en el escaparate y como te preparan el bocadillo. Las cortezas de la piel estan muy crujientes y sabrosas.

Just a simple place but a really good lunch. Excellent puled pork, haggis and apple sauce in a roll. What could be better? And it was really tasty. Simple but effective.

I did some research before going to Edinburgh, and this was one of the places which was highly recommended. There was 3 young guys serving, who were very helpful. I was not very hungry, so was wanting the piglet portion, but they was out of the piglet rolls, so had to have the next size up. They was also out of milk, so could not have a hot chocolate, unless I wanted it making without milk, as one of the guys suggested. I opted for a bottle of drink. I was not offered the meal deal. The pork sandwich was nice.

Saw the whole hog in the window and had to eat lunch here. You order and pay at the counter and they are quick and efficient with the orders. Delicious sandwiches!

It's just the thing to refuel after a half-day hiking up Arthur's Seat. The place is easily found by the big theatrical roast hog in the window. Buns are filled to leaking with delicious ingredients - extra crackling highly recommended!

We ordered the pork with dressing. Various sizes available for small, medium, or large appetites. Crisps and beverages available. We took our goodies to Dunbar's Close (a nearby park on Canongate) to eat. There were benches available and it was a bit of serenity along the Royal Mile.i

We feel like we know good bbq, and this was great, with a Scottish twist! We stopped in after touring Holyrood Palace for a snack but ended up ordering meal deals: sandwich, crisps, and drink for £7.50. The pork is served with a stuffing of your choice (we all got sage & onion), and a sauce (the server told me apple is traditional so that’s what I tried - it was good, but I ended up eating the apples with a fork and then finishing the sandwich).

the smallest size is way too small. i would suggest the 2nd or even 3rd category of bun. sandwich is wrapped in foil. small seating in the back. so go early before the lunch crowd arrives. having said that, it is worth the queue if you do go when it's really crowded.

Buen sitio para comer algo rápido, contundente, eso sí. Tienen varios locales por la ciudad, pero este creo que está menos concurrido (el de Victoria Street está siempre hasta arriba). Asan un cerdo entero y van haciendo bocadillos hasta que se acaba y cierran. Eliges la salsa (la de haggis no me atreví) y a disfrutar. Decir que el café está bueno y no es caro.

En este sitio hacen un cerdo entero y venden bocadillos hasta que se termina el cerdo. Es curioso de ver y no esta mal de sabor. Aunque es un sabor repetitivo y monótono.

I stopped in here on the recommendation of a friend for lunch and it was YUM! They have a little seating bar in the back to take a load off and enjoy your sandwich, which was perfect for a solo traveler like me. The staff was great - friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back the next time I'm here.

Had a morning wandering round the Scottish Parliament so had a break for lunch before taking on Holyrood Palace. Saw this place and went in on the off chance. My wife had the medium size “hog in a box’” with sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. I had the hog sandwich with apple sauce and haggis stuffing. Went for the meal deal on both so got a bottle of pale ale with each. Really tasty grub, no fancy surroundings, just grab a table or take the food out, although if you have beer you need to eat indoors. Came to £16 for the two of us. This might seem a lot for lunch but the food was top quality and tasty and came with a drink. Would recommend if you are in the vicinity. Oh and the crackling is pretty good as well.

We had the small pork sandwich and crisps. Great for a quick bite. The pork was good. I had it with the applesauce and that made it even better.

On my way to the palace I saw the roasted hog through the window and a huge line outside, I knew I had to stop and try but decided too do so on my way back and it was perfect! Another 10 minutes and it would have be over!!! Getting mouth watering just writing about it! Highly recommend

This is an absolute must-go place for lunch. After spending hours looking and shopping at the Scottish cashmere stores, we were Hungary. GBP5.40 got us a pulled pork roll with crackling that was absolutely delicious! Gobsmackingly good. Great service, great atmosphere and really busy. Highly recommended!

Gibt mehrere Lokale über die Stadt verteilt. Essen in drei Größen wählbar (der Unterschied ist die Menge an Pulled pork was im Brötchen landet). Brotwahl (hell/dunkel), Saucenwahl und extra (Haggis). Obendrauf ein Stück knusprige Schweineschwarte. Ein Hingucker allein schon die Präsentation des "Schweines" im Schaufenster. Einfach lecker und neben der schottischen Spezialität Haggis ein Muss.

These guys make good hug roast sandwiches, for some that is familiar as pulled pork. You can get additional stuff in your sandwich as well, such as haggis. Very delicious. Their branch at the "Diagon Alley" is overcrowded and their always a long waiting line. They have other places nearby, so go there instead of waiting in the line. You can find their locations on Google Maps and even on their store windows.

Choose the size then white or brown bread and stuffing and sauces. Absolutely delicious. Would definitely come again. Just up from the Scottish Parliament.

Tempted by the big roast on the window, we were very pleased we gave in to the temptation. Choice of 3 sizes bread roll sandwiches, stuffed with so much pulled pork, succulent and tasty, with a choice of two sauces and spreads, we opted for haggis and chilli jam, scrumptious. In addition there is a good choice of drinks on offer, including beer and coffee. So good, I would even go to compare it with the great experience we had in Porto. We shall return for more every time we are in Edinburgh.

The food was excellent. The place is crowded all the time but still they are really fast and you are not waiting really long. Do recommend.

We had our food to takeaway, and got it about 4.15pm so near to closing time. We still got plenty for our money and it was enjoyable. No crackling left though disappointingly!

Para hacer un alto rápido y comer un rico bocadillo de cerdo acompañado de la salsa que prefieras.Te ofrecen tres tamaños de bocadillos, con el de tamaño medio tienes mas que de sobra. El problema es que son locales pequeños y con pocas mesas. Este local de Canongate al ser el mas alejado del flujo turístico es el que mas probabilidades tienes de poder pillar mesa.La relación calidad-precio es buena.

Siamo capitati qui per caso, è il il posto perfetto per una pausa pranzo veloce ed economica. Panino davvero buono, siamo ritornati infatti anche una seconda volta. Noi abbiamo optato per la variante sage and onion provata in abbinamento con salsa bbq, chilli jam, chilli cheese e un'altra salsa di cui non ricordo il nome, tutte buone! Da provare!!

We were really taken in by the window. It really looked very inviting so we decided to visit on our way back from the Palace. It’s only 200 meters away..

We saw a video about this restaurant when we researched Edinburgh about Six months ago. The restaurant was closed for several days. After several attempts to devour our piglet, we spoke to construction workers as to when the establishment would reopen. On our final day in Edinburgh, we made one last attempt and was successful. SO DISAPPOINTED! The man who took our order was so rude and and handled the food with his bare hands. I now wished that Oink would have stay closed under construction for a few days longer.

The Male Staff who prepared the food held the bread with his bare hand without any gloves on.. If that's not enough, he went back to cleaning the espresso machine with some cleaning agent/chemical with no protective glove at all..

I love the idea of this and being able to choose your accompaniments on your roll including haggis or sage/onion and different sauces like apple or chilli. The whole roast pig in the front window looks impressive! Their rolls come in various sizes, so you can choose one depending on your hunger- I went with a medium.

Uno dei panini migliori che abbia mangiato in vita mia! Locale piccolo con pochi tavoli ma si tratta di una ristorazione veloce quindi si trova facilmente posto, servizio self-service, vai al banco e segui le indicazioni riportate sulla lavagna: scegli la dimensione del panino, il tipo di pane, eventuali aggiunte (salse, cipolla, ecc.), paghi e ti siedi dove vuoi per gustare questo succulento panino, io consiglio il medio o il grande, oppure almeno due piccoli magari farciti con salse diverse, ci sono tre Oink (Canongate, Victoria Street e Hanover Street), buon appetito, uscirete più che soddisfatti e con la voglia di tornarci al più presto!!! (n.b.: dall'1 al 16/02/2019 questo Oink sarà chiuso per ristrutturazione ma saranno aperti gli altri due).

The most delicious guilty pleasure in town! If you happen to go late, they will put extra cracking pig skin on your sandwich. Heavenly!

Bocadillo en el que puedes elegir las salsas y acompañamiento del cerdo asado. Es barato y está muy rico, en especial acompañado del típico haggis. El trocito de piel tostadito que te echan en el bocadillo está buenísimo.

Walking along the Royal Mile, just up from Holyrood and saw this little "hole in the wall" style place. After reading what was inside, and being late for lunch, we went in and experienced a unique 'fast food' type meal that was much healthier than the usual.

My wife had the piglet with haggis and apple sauce while I had the grunter with sage & onion stuffing and apple sauce - unfortunately when we visited they only had a limited number of sauces (apple, beetroot, and garlic mayo) which was a shame as would have loved some BBQ but it was still delicious. The pork is very moist and tender, the sage & onion stuffing was decent but think I'd go for haggis next time. Nice thick piece of crackling on the side too.

We saw a long queue and assumed it was going to be good and joined the line! What a waste of calories that was. Soggy pulled pork with a piece of cardboard “crackling”.

The amount of meat is plenty, the meal deal is worthy. Taste very juicy, the cracklings are really good. Have tried the sage and onion filling with chilli cheese sauce which is really good, next time want to try haggis filling.

Están muy ricos los famosos bocadillos de cerdo asado, mi favorito el de compota de manzana. Repetimos allí dos veces, echan bastante relleno, no te quedas con hambre. El sitio es muyyy frecuentado por españoles, tanto que los camareros chapurrean español y hay una camarera española mínimo.

Pulled pork with whatever sauce is good. Pulled pork with awesome BBQ sauce or good southern rub is amazing—this is none of the above. My sandwich came with BBQ sauce (which I ordered) that was the consistency of water but devoid of any recognizable BBQ flavor. The only flavor outside of the pork was the soggy sage stuffing (yep, stuffing) that they smeared on and the 50% fat, grease, and slime that came with the pork. Having lived in the southern US, we were ready for something resembling what we’ve had before—Oink was definitely not it! I would give them 1 star if they were anywhere else other than in Edinburgh (not exactly known for BBQ) and they would not make it anywhere in the southern US were any backyard smoker can do better. Sorry, it was just a little better than horrible.

Per me era impensabile fino ad oggi credere di poter mangiare un panino del genere, straboccante di carne di maiale sfilettata (pulled pork), senza morire. E invece... mossa dalle recensioni positive ho fatto oink oink trasformandomi davvero in un porcello, divorando questo panino che è buonissimo e leggerissimo nonché digeribilissimo, nonostante sia una cosa gigante. Me lo sono proprio goduto. Un pranzo veloce economico ma super gustoso che ti da la giusta carica anti freddo per affrontare ricche camminate alla scoperta della città. Da provare se si viene ad Edimburgo, è un’istituzione.

I was down at a meeting in the Scottish Parliament and did not fancy their cafe so went out on to the Royal Mile. This was a delightful surprise. The pulled pork roll was superb....service friendly and quick....thats basically all there is to say - happy to return.

Es un sitio súper típico a visitar estando en Edimburgo. Te hacen unos bocadillos de cerdo asado muy ricos, con una salsa y un acompañamiento a elegir. Nosotros pedíamos uno de los grandes a compartir para dos y como lo petan bastante te quedas bien. El primer día allí probamos el de Victoria Street y como nos encantó unos días más tarde repetimos en otro que estaba al final de la Royal Mile (llegando al parlamento). Visita obligada!
