I decided to hold a Baby Shower for my daughter, and always knew I’d be asking Carolyn and her team to help me, as I know from being a customer in the past how fabulous their food is, but this is the first time I’ve had an occasion where I needed outside catering, I can honestly say the attention to detail and planning from Sue who was dealing with our requests was amazing, and on the day of the event was so streamlined I had nothing to do or worry about, and when I saw the finished result from Sue I was so delighted, she went above and beyond to please, and Carolyn also a huge Thankyou for all your help on the day, I will have no hesitation in always recommending The filling Station, such amazing food, excellent quality, such a professional job with super friendly staff. Best place for a quick bite to eat, if tou ever go through pans need to stop here

It’s quite a dark gloomy shop but the friendly staff make up for it. Placing an order can be difficult as you have to do a bit of digging to find a menu. You usually have to find an old picture. Although they have a website now, but the time I have went on it, there was an error on the order page so I wasn’t able to see the menu. Anyway, the service is good in store. They sell, rolls, baguettes, salad boxes, paninis, baked potatoes and a few other build your own options. They also have sweet treats and sometimes sausage rolls. Most of the food I’ve got from here has been pretty good. My favourite has been the baked potato. There are lots of fillings to choose from so you can experiment. The world is your oyster. The also don’t shy on portions. The value is fair. The sausage roll I got was average and I’ve had a Christmas special which was a little disappointing. Overall, this place is very good for what it is. My work often order from here and they really like it.

This shop was a great disappointment to us yesterday - has it changed hands since it's refurb? The layout of the shop has changed beyond all recognition and has gone from a light, airy and spacious shop to a tiny, dark and depressing shop. The menu board states toasted sandwiches and jacket potatoes but does not indicate what fillings are offered at what prices... We ordered our previous favourites of 2 prawn baguettes but as she was preparing them we were told she'd run out of prawns and could only do one and a half - what she was going to put in the other half was not made clear so we chose a cheese savoury instead.... We thought £14.60 for 2 butties and 2 tiny cups of tea was very pricey - next time we'll go a few doors along to Greggs and get 2 butties and 2 lattes for £6.70 instead!

I ordered a gluten free afternoon tea for a friend, Sue was so friendly and helpfull. My friend is delighted with it and thoroughly enjoyed it, there was loads to eat. Thank you do much Sue and staff, I will certainly recommend you to my friends and will order again. Thank you Mags

Great filled baguettes, absolute rip off tho. £6.90...

Absolutely amazing food and super lovely people behind the counter. We got the baguette with cheese savoury filling + salad and the baked potato with mystic chicken and cheese. Really big portions and paid just under 12£. We'll be back regularly from now on.

This is my favourite sandwich/ grab lunch to go spot! Been going here since I moved into town and all I can say is the owners and staff are always fantastic! Their baked potato’s are my favourite but get in there fast to get one. They are so popular the food queue is sometimes out the door at lunch! I go just after 12 and usually get one. Cheese and chicken mayo is my go to but they have so many options from bread/ wraps/ potato’s to fillings and they do sausage rolls (so yum you have to get one - and I don’t even like them much usually) to their beef or chicken pies. They do soup and cakes too. Honestly go grab lunch here! They have another spot in Longniddry too! The one in Prestonpans just had a refurbishment too and it’s fab inside. P.S they also do catering and the afternoon teas are lovely for Mother’s Day, just order ahead!

Ordered an Afternoon Tea for an 80th birthday gift. It was unbelievable, absolutely loads to eat and everything was perfect. The selection of sandwiches were great and pies and sausage rolls very good indeed. Sweet box not being opened until later on, but again looks great. Thank you x

Place used to be a gem. Area to order is tiny now and stopped doing breakfast rolls since refurb. Also became overpriced over the past couple years.

***Update*** This place, once a gold mine of a wide menu choice, quick service and amazing foods has sadly changed its business model. The menu choice including the vast array of hot food has been slashed to provide baguettes and cakes only. Also gone was the online ordering system too. Attempts to posh up have taken the heart out of this once excellent establishment. Sad days for the Pans. A normally great experience busted today by their IT system failing to record an online order despite money being taken and a confirmation email. Turned up and looks of vast confusion and "it must have went to Longniddry" 3 staff later, we still don't know but we can cook it, sadly a little too late for the starving work crew. They also need to sort the queuing system out as they still operate a pasting table at the front door service. Long queues, confusion, frayed tempers and the weather is turning so cold customers waiting in line.

Friendly helpful a great choice of food and decent prices disappointed I can't order online just now but that's ok staff in shop are friendly and get a good chat from them while waiting

The full breakfasts are UNREAL!! 😍🤤 the quality of the food and the size of the portion is just incredible

Been here a couple of times and the food is excellent, very generous with the portion sizes. All the food is fresh , my Dad said it was the best homemade steak pie he's had for a long time. The staff are super nice and friendly as well. Would definitely recommend The Filling Station.

You get what you ask for in here and there's no scrimping with thr portions the bagets are aways busting with fresh cut cold meat and lovely vegetables. They make there own pie and there to die for .it's an all round lovely shop and the atmosphere is good to .the lady's are always asking g how you are and what your up to .💯brilliant

Looking for a hearty healthy food outlet on a coastal drive, came upon The Filling Station by good fortune and what a find! Fresh quality ingredients, lots of choices, made to order with excellent service, bag and utensils. Two hearty soups and a fulsome baguette all for £11.90 - superb value

This is the place to go if you are hungry. The sandwiches are amazing and so is the ginger cake. 😋

There are lots of great things here, the cakes are lovely as is the roast beef but my chicken and bacon baguette wasn’t. The chicken was coated in a weird batter that was not nice to feel or taste and the bacon wasn’t good either. Sorry but I have to be honest. Longniddry branch is 10x better.

£4.35 for a ham salad roll with cheese. That is outrageous prices will not be back

You delivered a buffet of mixed food to our 30th year birthday for primrose day centre. I'm one of the workers and I just want to thank you for the absolutely beautiful food. The presentation was by far exceeded our expectations and the ribbon was a beautiful touch. Could not fault anything and all the fruit surrounding everything was exceptional we gave our members the choice of fruit as well. I would highly recommend this place if you are having a function.👏👏👏👏

Love this place, I normally get the chicken mayo baguette and a cheese scone, but I bought steak pies for my son last time and he loves them. Great service all very friendly, helpful and kind.

Been here a few times. I called my order in this time which was perfect. My breakfast roll was perfectly cooked with a freshly ground cup of coffee. Amazing prices too and staff so friendly and helpful.

Popped in for lunch as my husband had previously been and recommended it. Firstly the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They recommended chicken mystique in the ladt baked potato which was really tasty. My huxbands cheese and tomstoe toastie was devine. Both had sslad with them which we enjoyed.. The portions were very generous and average price so well worth a visit.

Fantastic takeaway I have to say. We didn't understand how the menu works but the staff there were patient and nice. The food we chose was sort of random but both the wrap and the scone turned out to be FANTASTIC!

Twice I have had a hamburger here. Not sure if they pre-cook the burgers in the morning or day before or what but they taste terrible and are quite hard and dry. Says a lot when a microwaved Rustlers burger tasted fresher and better! Surely cant be difficult to cook a fresh piece or meat?

There is a two que system opposite each other... so who comes first? ... the pre-booked orders ... the first in the que orders Who controls the que system? Are we supposed to keep 2m distance and if so how can anyone actually que jump infront of the other when keeping a distance...

Staff polite. Ordered breakfast rolls .sat in my car as at moment cover rules not allowed in premises..(weather terrible)waited waited.waited .went and enquired about my order waiting on egg being cooked well bring it out to you .They did. took order home. Surprises .bacon 2 slices very salty .sliced sausage the same salty haggis egg roll you can see what we think of that .we added sauce . Will I be going back NO. Service good food nothing special in my own home I would have cooked an other egg .as we eat with our eyes it was not appetizing.we bought there toffee apple scone hopefully that will be tasty

I ordered a baked potato with cheese and beans and I asked for a small amount of cheese as I am aware they do go over the top with cheese! It unfortunately came packed with so much cheese It was spilling over the box, the cheese had ice crystals on top and the beans were so pale and I believe they have perhaps moved onto a cheaper tasteless version of Heinz. I also ordered a aero cake and a caramel shortcake and again they were so hard you could bash someone over the head with the cake and it would be sore, I am wondering if the cakes are not fresh As this has happened a few times now.

Loaded up here with my family while out on a bike ride. Friendly service with lots of attention to detail, food hygiene standards good too.

We visited for lunch as a couple. Service was great. Arek was very friendly and very attentive, however food was not great. No flavour to fajita calzone and chips very overcooked. My partners’ calzone was meat feast however and he enjoyed it. Would not return again, unfortunately

Such a bad environment!!!! The staff are okay but it’s mainly run by young ones. The younger workers are probably the best out of the bunch and are the ones that make you feel comfortable and are sure you get the best service possible :/ the owner was ditsy and a bit too nice to be real, she treated one of the younger girls like a baby and a younger male ( looked like the chef ) was treated so poorly compared to the others. Food is nice but not worth the price and the boss is ditsy and very self aware. Good food in a very bad environment such a shame ! If there was a 0 star option I would have picked it!

Popped in for filled rolls, excellent choice of fillings, after deciding what we wanted the server put the wrong meat in the roll she took it back out and didnt discard the roll but proceeded to just fill it with the right ingredient, after pointing out cross contamination she didnt answer and carried on. I asked for no tomatoes but what did we get? yes tomatoes. The shop was busy but you are paid to do a job and the food is not cheap, get it right. Lovely food spoiled by server who was unpleasant and unhelpful

Popped in for lunch and asbalways spoilt for choice. Lady recommended wrap with spicy tomato sauce jalapeño and mac and cheese. Doesn't sound the most normal thing to have but hey were Scottish 🤷‍♀️ Oh my days it was AMAZING. Fresh hot tastes amazing and staff are so lovely. Must try people 😋😋😋😋

We use the filling station in Prestonpans for catering for our training sessions, the sandwich fillings are tasty, always fresh with fresh fruit cups on the sides. Never anything left over!

Excellent fresh baked baguettes with egg mayo and tuna mayo topped with fresh vegetables was so amazing. We needed something non fried or greasy. The girls that waited on us were so helpful and friendly.

Got a Christmas baguette asked for no bacon but bacon was on the baguette. The baguette was that loaded it looked like slop and stuck to the paper the turkey was just pure fat absolutely disgusting what a complete waste of £6.90 as ended up in the bin it was that bad the dog turned her nose up at it

What a lovely little sandwich takeaway! found it on our way down the coast to visit friends. We had the Mexican chicken burgers. Sooooo yummy! They also had homemade steak pies, chilli chicken pies and sausage rolls. They looked amazing so will need to go back for a second visit!

A cut above your average sandwich shop as witnessed by the lengthy queue some lunchtimes. However, you won't have to wait long as service is highly efficient. There is always an eye-catching window display which changes with the seasons. Look out for the Christmas baguette!

The Filling Station provided the catering for a small intimate wedding in Port Seton and I must say that the standard was excellent. They served afternoon tea to the guests but the best part were the small, hand made pies. Stunning good. In fact I plan on making a special journey to purchase some.

Best mince pie iv had in a long time exellant baguette

My partner and I had lunch in The Filling Station. We went for the lunch menu, I think it was £9.95 for a 2 course meal. You could also add a soft drink for around £2.75 with unlimited refills. For starters I ordered the chicken tenders and my partner ordered the calamari, which were both fine. For mains I ordered the jumbo dog with fries, my partner ordered the meatball calzone. Both main courses were gorgeous but we couldn't finish them, we were both stuffed! Nice food and great value for money :) The Filling Station really does fill you up!

If you wish for an endless chewing of a steak and yesterday's pancakes this is the spot.The only thing that was good is the music.
