Have gone here for over twenty years. Always been amazing. Unfortunately this experience wasn’t great. Quality of food not as good. Staff in the past always great. Now some are very good but not all. Also owner never in this establishment which always makes a difference Wouldn’t rush back. Not cheap but you don’t mind when it’s quality But not the case now

Went for lunch and was disappointed in the standard and quality of food we were served. Italian chicken panini was a small uninspiring doughy specimen with very little filling. The normally excellent baked potato with curried chicken and banana contained plenty of filling but unfortunately the chicken was very overcooked and tough making it inedible. Coffee prices have increased beyond the level of better quality coffee shops and overall, the experience was not as good as we have expected over the years of dining here.

We were taken to Le Jardin cafe for a meal as a treat. We all ordered different items and all of them were very tasty. We did feel that there was too much sauce in the meat dishes which made it very difficult to eat. Some of it had gone over the edge of the dish onto the salad below making it look very messy. The staff were not always available as one of them was chatting for some time to other customers but not about the menu or food. We were waiting for some time to place our order. Most of the staff were friendly and one suggested dessert items from the menu which she thought we would enjoy. Not sure if we would go back there in the future.

Stayed at the nearby Travelodge and found this little gem within 4 minutes walking distance. We all had the full Scottish breakfast. The food was delicious and worth the price. £ 11.40 for sausage, bacon, fried egg, baked beans, black pudding, potato scone and tomato served with toast and preserve, apple or orange juice and a pot of tea or filter coffee. If we're ever passing we will definitely stop off here for food. Staff very pleasant and welcoming.

Arrived on time for our lunch date. The cafe was absolutely packed to the rafters. Zero distancing between the tables and other customers. The people that own this establishment are putting greed ( bums on seats) above safety. This WAS a firm favourite for us as we know the staff and the area extremely well. Knowing how busy they are will deter me from visiting again. The cafe is far too small and in my own opinion not fit for purpose. Again the owners putting greed and low overheads above the safety of staff and customers. Would not recommend.

For consistancy of really tasty, well-presented food, this is the best in kinross. They have kept to the same excellent menu for years now and they have got it perfect. The conservatory is the best place to sit. The inside, they have made the best of a not very inspiring space but in no way would that put me off. The only slight critisicm is that, after your initial order, it is really difficult to attract the attention of waiting staff to order desserts or extra drinks etc. I wish they would just come round and see if you want anything else. However, the staff are really lovely and that is a very minor point. Best to book as it gets really busy at lunchtimes.

On our way home, we decided to stop off for a coffee stop. There is a very large car park making it easy to find a space. On our way in we had temperature checks and also names, address & phone number taken as part of Track & Trace. We were shown to a table, next to the tempting display of cakes, which made it easy for us to chose. Our orders were taken and came very quickly. I chose a fruit slice and was given the option of having it warmed up, which I did. My wife had the peppermint slice, along with a latte and I had a cappuccino coffee. We noticed that when people left, the tables & chairs were immediately cleaned, along with the partitions between the tables. It is certainly a place we would stop at again on our way home..

The sister restaurants get glowing reviews from family and friends hence the reason for our visit today.Had we known the demographic that they cater for we wouldn’t have bothered. We are in our mid 50s and were the youngest there by a country mile . We opted for breakfast which was ok however, it far below the standard that we are used to. The better half had French toast that was lovely however , it was let down by the very runny and cold maple syrup .My pancakes were bone dry and clearly not fresh. To be fair we did tell the waitress who said she would pass our concerns. To be fair it was 20 quid for the 2 of us including lattes.

Visited for lunch with friends. Fortunate to have booked as long queues. They don’t take online bookings which is a minus point. Soup was good; open sandwiches, toasties and baked potato all enjoyed. Service was not so good; coffee and soft drink ordered at start of meal had to be chased and came with mains. No “normal” sides available eg fries, onion rings, macaroni etc. No concessions. Having been to owners’ (Caulders) diner in Cupar, it is clear this site needs upgrade and refurb.

We ordered lentil soup each and I had a cheese and onion toastie while the wife had a gluten free bread toastie. The wife was disappointed with the portion size and the quality. The waiting time was excessive but it wasn't clear whether it was the kitchens fault or if the servers were not attentive to our order. We finished off with icecream which we thought was rather expensive. I hesitate to give this restaurant a good review because it's one of my favourite places, which is already always busy! If you are on limited time, I suggest you phone and book a table, but if you are out for a leisurely lunch / coffee, then even if it is busy, you won't have long to wait! They have a buzzer system for busy times and you can browse in the attached garden centre whilst you wait. I've eaten all sort of times here, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, and I have never been disappointed. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful. Always smiling although I am sure like all of us they must have "off" days, but it never shows! The food is excellent, and freshly prepared, but you never have long to wait. The cakes look and taste amazing - you are bound to be tempted! We travel from about 15 miles away to eat here - I call it getting my Kinross fix! Try it - I don't think that you will be disappointed! I even arranged to meet my cousins here whilst they were touring Scotland, and they want to return (from England!)

Nice big potato of the correct variety for baking with a choice of delicious fillings. I also judge a place by the effort they have made with the salad. It was very busy (so very noisy in the main cafe part) and was initially a bit stumped by the menu (chicken and banana in a baked potato!) but what we chose (not the chicken and banana!) was super tasty and comforting - it is homely cooking and doesn't pretend to be anything else (well, apart from the French name! It is not a French restaurant, there was nothing French there, maybe some French mustard in the kitchen?!) Portions generous and staff were all very helpful and friendly. The cakes were all lovely. We often stop in while passing this lovely little restaurant, and every time it's fabulous. The paradise chicken baked potato is honestly the best we have ever had, and we like our baked potatoes.Great teas and coffees as well, and a nice selection of cakes to accompany them.

We frequent Le Jardin cafe and we're always impressed with the quality on offer. Great food and cakes but the scone, CLOTTED cream, and kiwi jam are simply superb! Lots of different scones to choose from too... apple and cinnamon anyone?! I'm afraid that as a coffee snob I must be a little picky and suggest a lesson on milk prep especially with very mediocre Mathew Algie roasts. Great selection of tea however, and staff are always super friendly.

I went to this cafe to get a soup. I am a vegetarian so I was told the tomato soup was suitable for me. Turns out it was not. I had a few spoonfuls but when I dipped my spoon in again I found a whole uncooked but peeled potato and a rasher of uncooked bacon. How is this possible! there was uncooked bacon in my soup

A group of us visited today and we were accommodated in a very short time despite it being a busy Sunday afternoon. The ciabatta toasties we had were excellent and all our friends seemed to enjoy what they had too, ranging from lasagne to soup. Good range of drinks available too. Service was prompt and delivered with friendly approach. Would go again.

My favourite place to eat, breakfast, coffee or lunch,.. The best around for miles. LOVE the waitress service, the fabulous choice from menu and easy parking outside... TOTALLY wonderful in all respects and amazing staff .... well done all..... Once you have been to this eatery it will be permanently on your 'to do list'... simply never fails and the ease of parking, being seated at a lovely table, and pleasant and helpful staff only upgraded with very excellent menu.. its like bliss in my day anytime and always....

Always lovely food here. Sandwiches and panninis are fresh and lovely fillings. Scones are to die for. We come here regularly and will continue to do so

Decided to stop off for ice cream as it was quite hot and ended up having scones, jam & cream which were lovely and fresh and big. Very tasty. Venue is lovely and you can sit indoors or out. Service was excellent and very friendly. Again cannot fault. Been to all three branches and will highly recommended.

We went here specially as the the cafe had been recommended to us as a good place to get a gluten free meal. There are gluten free meals and cakes available. We found the place busy and the staff attentive. The decor and atmosphere however seemed a little old fashioned. My chicken supreme in a tomato sauce tasted like chicken in tomato soup and I did not enjoy it at all. The salad with tinned pinnapple and mandarin oranges reminded me of visiting my mother-in-law when cheese and pinapple salad was current. (I think that was the 1970's).

In town centre parking all around.Served quickly and friendly. Nice menu we both opted for the steak pie. Which didn’t disappoint tasted delicious and good portion size. We even greater ourselves to pudding - sticky toffee to be exact served with ice cream - absolutely delicious.£25 for 2 x 2 courses and soft drinks good value.Defo recommend.

The location, the restaurant, the staff and the food are all excellent. My partner and I had a truly wonderful Sunday lunch and each dish (cheese souffle, John Dory and blueberry pana cotta) worthy of 10 out of 10. scores. My only concern is that the 25% increase in the price may deter future customers.
