Had best Indian curry here . From managers to staff everyone one was so welcoming and made us feel comfortable . Service was real quick , extra care was taken of our dietary requirements. Price was worth the quality and scrumptious food. Will definitely be back !

This place is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever went to. Staff were so friendly and the food was fabulous. I had the chicken bhoona and it was to die and the rest of my family said their meals were excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing food so tasty. Couldn’t fault this place in any way possible staff were so lovely and accommodating with the kids. The manager ensured we had absolutely everything, the team work from the staff was phenomenal. Will definitely be back, so pleased with my experience can’t find a place like this anywhere else. urge everyone to try it!!!!

We arrived at lunchtime today. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good indication, with decorations taking place to refresh our favourite portion of the restaurant. Our server was Mack, who was friendly and attentive. The menu includes both Indian and European foods, which caters to a variety of tastes. We both chose the Indian menu, and we always will. The dinner was delicious and nicely prepared. We both remarked it was the greatest curry we'd had since our last visit, and we'll definitely be returning. Lunchtime is a great deal, and it will always be our lunchtime fave.

The dirty burger was tasteless, it wasn't fresh, seemed like a burger from the freezer as did the chips, l and the salad wasn't fresh.

We visited at lunch time today. Restaurant wad busy which is always a good sign with decoration happening to fresh up our favourite part of the restaurant . Our sever was Mack he was friendly and attentive. The menu choices for Indian and European dishes which is always good for different appetites. We both chose the Indian menu and always will. The food was amazing and well presented. We both said it was the best curry we had since the last time we were there and we will definitely be back. Great value of lunchtime and it will always be our lunchtime favourite.

We had a lovely visit to the restaurant this afternoon to celebrate my mums birthday. Mack went above and beyond to make sure that my mum had a special lunch! The food was lovely as usual and great value for money. We are very lucky to have a great restaurant with a friendly atmosphere that is local to us. We will definitely visit again soon :)

Food excellent. Only £65 for four of us, which included drinks and naan bread added. Service was fantastic from all the staff but especially Mac who was very friendly, and gave us all a good laugh. Will definitely return.

Wow … amazing food, so fresh and authentic, stayed at the hotel last minute not expecting the main restaurant menu to be of Indian cuisine, truly enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend if passing

The table service we received was very poor We had asked for sauce with our meal which we didn’t receive so our meal went cold No one asked about our meal and if everything was okay and was going to order dessert but it took 20 minutes for the plates to be taken away so we just left it The food was good but the service ruined the experience.

This was our first visit here after a friend who stays locally recommended it we got the lunch menu which was fantastic both in price and food quality the veg pakora was good as my starter the garlic chicken main was first class my wife got the tikka which she said was very good. The naan bread was lightly and crispy absolutely no complaints apart from when we came in just after opening time the young man on reception blanked us until we had to ask him where we could sit

We are regulars here and this review wont stop us coming again but i hope the woman in charge take it on board and make some small changes . Food 10/10 amazing and thats what’s bringing us back , it’s just delicious !!! bar staff are shocking and have been since day one , every time we come and that’s possibly once a week we have an drink issue or we wait 15-20 mins for a simple drink top up , and i mean surly drinks a money maker , why delay them . we never complain but i think it should be delt with accordingly . left overs “take home food” Comon guy’s not everyone can finish huge meals and alot of folk like to take food home for a munch once there home , but receiving left over curry's mash’d up in tin foil just ain't very nice and lowers my overall experience .

Always top top service and amazing food, and today was no different. Brought some of my staff team (8) for lunch between training and everyone was thoroughly delighted! And stuffed! Staff are so welcoming and patient with us being a bigger table. We will, inevitably, be back!

This is a very friendly and relaxed venue with superb food will 100% return it feels like you are almost at home with no pressure.

The food was heaven! It melts in your mouth. The staff is very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are spacious and well lit!

Booked a 130pm table for 3 for lunch. Can't complain about the food, which was really nice but the service was atrocious and completely ruined the meal for all 3 of us. Drinks order was wrong which can happen but we were offered a dessert menu by the waiter, but when we where approached to take our order, the female manager (I presume) was abrupt and told us we couldn't have dessert or tea/coffee as they were now shut (it was 225pm) and then proceeded to ask us 'so what do you want to do?'. The three of us were left awkwardly sitting. We paid and left quickly. We will not be back.

Outstanding from the moment you walk into the welcoming atmosphere the food and service is superb. Highly recommend. Staff friendly and efficient.

Family meal, late afternoon so we had the pre theater menu. Good menu, plenty of choice. All food was tasty. Unfortunately a couple of dishes were on the cold side. Service is good, comfortable restaurant.

I was a resident at the hotel and missed my booked time but about 20 minutes, which unfortunately on a Friday meant a wait of about 30 minutes for a table. Once seated there was a good choice of Indian and European food, I'd suggest going with the Indian. The Restaurant is large but divided into sections. That said, it's still popular with families with younger children and larger groups so be maybe not the place for a romantic dinner for two. The food arrived promptly and was really good, I went with Lamb Rasander which was hot without being ridiculous - just right. With poppadoms, main/rice/nan and Cobra it came to about £25/person which I thought was reasonable.

We booked my son’s 18th birthday party here in the sunroom of the Crowwood hotel were 28 members of my family came to join us. We initially spoke to Bally the manager who was very accommodating from the moment we booked to the moment we left. The full table was served promptly and my son was even offed a complimentary drink which was a lovely gesture from the hotel. Will definitely be booking here for any big occasions absolutely amazing.

The wait time for your table reservation is unacceptable, you're then rushed out as the bar closes at 9pm, even for residents. Not a pleasant experience with the manner of the manager making guests feel unwelcome. The corridors smell of damp. The staff look miserable. Will not be returning to this place.

Sería realmente difícil calificar bien un lugar que claramente lo hubiera empacado para ganar más dinero del que son capaces de entregar. Sillas tan juntas que entraba y salía una mesa llena. Estar sentado por 7. 15 más recientes para la cena: todavía es un misterio por qué, ya que eran más de las 9 y el único plato que se había servido era el entrante, que era pobre. El principal estaba frío, nuestra mesa rechazó muchos platos calientes pero comida fría. Al igual que otras mesas, después de las negociaciones, recibimos una opción sustitutiva de pastel de carne y papas fritas o palitos de pescado y papas fritas, la opción vegana / vegetariana era pasta, que se convirtió en pasta con pimientos y ¿qué parecía ser salsa agridulce? Ni la comida de Navidad ni nada similar a la orden original (que era una orden de mineral, ¿tan fácil como se podría pensar?) En este punto, nadie podría molestarse en quejarse más. Compré esto para un cumpleaños para el cumpleaños de un amigo. Una desgracia que llena el sándwich pobre. Tortas pobres y bollo 1 cada uno sin crema pobre fue AGroupon trato y usé esto antes y fue encantador. Visitamos el restaurante en el hotel un domingo por la tarde. Nos dio una cálida bienvenida el personal y había muchos asientos incluso con un cochecito grande. El servicio fue muy amable y nos dijeron rápidamente los especiales del día antes de tener que preguntar y nada era demasiado molesto. El servicio era bueno, pero la comida que salió fue incluso mejor. Muy fresco y sabroso con buenas raciones y una gran elección en el menú. Nosotros definitivamente vamos a volver.

I am always honest about these reviews was a little apprehensive about this. The decor really needs sorted holes in chair covers and ceiling but...... staff were so friendly and afternoon tea was lovely however need another option for vegetarian sandwiches. I would definitely go back on staff alone and think this place can only improve glad I tried it

La luz del baño no funciona correctamente, el ventilador está todo el tiempo en el baño manteniéndome despierto. Ate a bar meal here while staying in the hotel.Staff in the bar were very good and also friendly. Although the beer was not to my taste that's just my preference, the locals seemed happy enough with it ! Prawn cocktail starter was excellent - plenty of it and prawns were not ice cold straight out the fridge like they are in many other places.Main course again was a good sized plateful and followed on quickly after the starter. Thoroughly enjoyed both courses and would have no hesitation going back for more.

Went here today for afternoon tea absolutely delicious well worth the money was served by the lovely Lorraine. Brilliant service she couldn't do. Enough for us

Unable to sleep properly due to dirty bedding which looks like they haven’t been replaced in decades. There is no privacy, the walls are so paper thin you hear everything from your neighbours. Heating in rooms is barely adequate. The staff, while not rude, weren’t particularly helpful either, that’s if you manage to find one. Did not try the food. The only plus side is that the WiFi worked.

Visited this lovely wee hotel on Sunday 17/2/19 for an afternoon tea which was a gift. Lorraine and her colleague were great, nothing was too much trouble. Everything about the afternoon tea was amazing and plentiful - good selection of sandwiches and cakes, warm scones with cream and jam and unlimited tea and coffee . We were seated in the conservatory area which looked out onto the golf course which was lovely. Would thoroughly recommend and will be returning soon.

Unfortunately I was ill for my 2 day stay but staff could not have been more helpful.. had a 2 course dinner and arrival drink as part of the package. Good choices. Tasty and quick service. No alc free ciders/lagers or wine so had fresh orange n lemonade. Maybe a couple of options would be good. Partner thought breakfast good plenty of choice.. no black pudding but haggis instead. I didn't manage on the first morning but staff made up a basket of fruit n toast for my partner to take to room for me... spent the day in bed and staff checked I was ok.. managed down for brekkie 2nd day plenty choices. Although did say muffins and pastries but there were none, no issue I just had toast. Check out 11 but was told no real rush. Staff pleasant and friendly. Partner sad to see bar shut at 11pm but if that's the hours so be it. We had been out at a concert and that's the time we got back, but I'm sure could of taken drinks to our room if we wanted.. all in all a good stay good value would stay again definately recommend.

I stayed at the Crowood Hotel a couple of weeks ago, and it dawned on me,over the years I've actually stayed here quite often, and it's still the same price! The staff are always very professional, nice cosy bar, great food and fantastic value for money well done to the Crowood Hotel team

Terrible value for money. 70 pound to be put in a room near a function that went on till 1am. Rooms tired and not even a cup or glass im bathroom.Breakfast was at a an uncovered grubby bar table rarher than the restaraunt that overlooked the golf course. Probably for the staff convenience. Breakfast buffer was a pile of stale hard rolls which looked as thoufh theybwere left overs and some dry scones again leftover from an afternoon tea. Opted for roll and sausage which was a soggy roll falling to bits with 2 cheap sausages. Next time i will opt for other local hotels

I recently visited for an afternoon tea using a voucher that was given as a gift - this was possibly one of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had. When entering the venue there was no one around and I had to shout into the kitchen to get someone’s attention. The decor is miserable, shabby and dated - the whole place looks like it needs a good wash! We were offered a soup and a portion of chips to be added to the sandwiches, the chips didn’t arrive and we ended up cancelling the order due to the fact we were finishing up and had moved on to the more “sweet” parts of tea. The soup itself was clearly not homemade, it was meant to be minestrone however seemed like tinned tomatoes and pasta. The sandwiches were thick with cheap margarine, hardly any filling and the bread was hard. None of the cakes, scones etc were homemade and were dry and tasteless. I ordered a coke and it was undrinkable as it was just pure syrup. It cost an extra £6 for the soup and coke. Please do not waste your money.

Where to start, cheese slices and ham for breakfast anyway, maybe wash that down with cold tea/coffee. DEFINITELY AVOID THE BEDROOMS, a roof that leaks on you whilst sleeping, horrific soiling of the bed linen. Thought id conplain to now be blocked from contacting them, and offered an £8 refund (doesnt even cover the £20 breakfast) please save yourself money and go to the travellodge opposite.

Attended with my wife and son as new to the area and trying out places to eat. My son is 12 and we ordered the steak pie and mg wife the Macaroni. The steak pie was strange. A pie paste cut open with stew in the middle and about 10 chips (no exaggeration). Macaroni was ok and my wife asked for a bowl of chips. Chips came in the plate and again very few and charged extra for these and the garlic bread which was forgotten tgen came burnt. We were going to book for xmas but not a chance. Serving staff very nice but obviously nit trained

My husband and I frequented the resturant sunday 9/9/2018 5pm was allocated a table by the young waitress which may I add was very pleasant, we both ordered the steak pie one with chips one with mash. About 40 minute wait well you can live with that. About the meal @ presentation left a lot too be desired -b I have never seen mash pototoes that colour a very grey dirty looking, boiled potatoes must have been under the hot plate far too long but worst of all the steak pie had far far far too much bouillon totally unedible,the waitress asked us if we would like to order something else but who knows what like that would have been believe it or not I am not one who normally complains the waitress did apologize but we understand it wasnt her doing.Sorry wont be recommending your resturant ps I also work in the food industry

We stay local and we have visited for the occasional function every once in a blue moon and but it's certainly not a favourite haunt, as the hotel has changed hands over the years.They now have one of my favourite beers on tap so we popped in for a couple of pints and a light bite to eat last Friday evening.First impression - where is everyone? Not customers, no bar staff.Second impression - friendly bar staff but, where do they keep disappearing to?We ordered a couple of cheap and cheerful burgers, think they were frozen and certainly not hand made. They were ok tastewise.Tried to order another beer when a friend arrived, again it was a game of hunt the bar staff. Other observations...The same background music repeated for the couple of hours - change the bloody music! A couple of big TV's were in evidence - but not switched on!Toilets were pretty awful and need an overhaul.And finally, for a Friday evening the place was absolutely dead and looks as though there's nothing being done to attract punters especially the locals and families. There appears to be regular tribute nights, perhaps these are popular. Seems to me as though the owners must be relying on the income of passing trade of Japanese tourists and corporate business as I pass it every morning and there's frequently a bus coach or lots of vans etc. The bar and restaurant area are really nicely decrated but judging by some of the reviews it looks as though hardly suprising the rooms could be doing with a refresh.

Myself and my husband had our wedding at the Crowwood Hotel it was amazing the staff went above and beyond to make sure the day went smooth. The food was amazing. Laura, Eilidh and Gary made us feel so relaxed and took everything in there stride. I would recommend the Crowwood Hotel to anyone.

Absolutely horrendous, blood on hand rails, smelt of dog, pubs on toilet seats, stains on the floor, unwashed surfaces, dirt and grime on appliances, dog hair covering the floor, duvet covers old and worn (litterally ripped out), seating had not been cleaned in a decade. Horrible staff, kicking kids out on the street because of the state was unsuitable and wouldn't allow us to wait to book elsewhere. Refunded in full was about the best thing about this hotel. Lucky for us expidia double booked us for the other hotel too and we ended up in the executive rooms on the 18th floor of the Hilton lol for cheaper than this mess.

Staff couldnt be more helpful for our recent big Birthday celebrations with a great bbq . We had use of the outside area where we had a bouncy castle for children and restaurant private space for later in the day. Food was plentiful and very good with excellent vegan and halal selection in addition to the standard bbq menu. Staff on the night were exceptional especially Gavin and team. Thanks to Hayley, Fiona and Ann for their help in advance. They let themselves down as some of the rooms were not up to standard, very tired and in need of refurbishment, plus breakfast for quests I was told was poor due to staffing. The family rooms are particularly needing addressedplus those in the main building.I believe the management and staff really want to make this a venue of choice and I would certainly give them that opportunity. Thanks you to all for a great party.

Arrived for a tribute night ‘Neil Diamond’ with my 4 sisters and 2 nieces ...We decided we would have lunch, overnight stay with dinner and the show Lunch was good and staff very friendly ... our two twin rooms were lovely but the family room well it needed a make over curtains hanging off the rails BUT it was clean ..Looking forward to our night out we were told to be no later than 7.30 as that was when dinner was gettin served .. 8.20 we got our starter .. didn’t realise on booking it was a set menu but it was nice but lacked seasoning but that was all was wrong with it .. it was piping hot as well ...Good service once again ..The evening entertainment what can I say Neil diamond was good at singing but only knew a few of the songs and sung sweet caroline three times lol BUT I would have had him on all night as the DJ OMG was terrible .. he played purely for his own needs .. I think ’ he thought he was in Ibiza at a rave .. his audience was between 30 and 70 plus .. we did ask The manager to tell him to change and he did for a short time unfortunately we ended up goin to our room .. but that’s not to say others didn’t enjoy him we just didn’t ... it’s a good cheap night away we were only £55 per head for everything .. hotel is a bit tired looking but it is clean and the staff are lovely and helpful despite the DJ we will def be booking again at a show ...

Like Monica in Friends i like to categorise things, I choose hotels rather than towels. There is fancy, fancy guest, every day, and sleep fully clothed on top of the bed. The Crowwood was the latter. Bed smelt musty, was like lying on a slab, & it gave you the feeling that 50,000 people had slept on it before you.I now know the origin of the phrase, `the walls were paper thin`, as I could hear the man next door reading his newspaper... I could also here him, use the bathroom, watch TV, constantly fiddle with his suitcase, snore, & wake up at 6. The room felt like an old Travelodge, and imagine it was great 30 years ago, but like me, very tired now. The towels had seen better days, which to be fair matched the wider surroundings.

I was prepared, despite the reviews, to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Mainly because the office booked me in here and I had no say in the matter. On arrival there was nobody at reception so had to hunt for someone in the bar. There were no staff there either and two other customers were waiting for drinks so got up to find someone in the kitchen. The room although not terrible was not great. Pretty tired looking. Dirty in places. Scatter pillows smelt of sweat. Towels smelt of wet dog. Mattress was like it was filled with tennis balls. The doors are like cardboard so you can hear everything which is going on as people walk past. All in all just not relaxing. I would not choose to stay here nor would I come back. I didn’t try the restaurant but if the other reviews and rooms are anything to go off, I can’t imagine it would be great. There is however ample parking and half decent free WiFi.

Purchased the Groupon deal for high tea. Staff very attentive plenty tea and coffee. Food was nice fresh veg on plate as well as mash and whole potatoes good choice of mains. Value for money

Have never received such bad service. Girl had absolutely no idea what day of the week it was let alone how to serve the public and was totally disinterested in even trying!! Had booked in for a afternoon tea for mum's birthday. Walked in to no staff member in sight. when the girl finally came round she didnt even have the manners to say Hello or ask how she could help.Just stared ast us.After being seated was asked "Where's your voucher". What voucher ?? who said anything about a voucher ?? I didn't have one as I hadn't pre paid!! Thank God!!!Myself and mum where offered tea or coffee but the girl didn't even acknowledge the fact that there was 2 other people sitting at the table and she just walked away with half a drink order. When I asked to see the menu (which I thought would be a standard expectation considering she knew we where there for food.) was told yeah but that will cost extra !!After being served stone cold coffee. we got up and left.

this place is awful. dirty and tired. very uncomfortable bed, no shower gel or soap in bathroom. cobwebs hanging from ceiling. Found a pair of boxer shorts on top of wardrobe

Went to the restaurant early to miss the coach load of tourists I encountered at check in. Ordered curry, rice and prawn crackers, when arrived was told there were no prawn crackers, Another guest ordered gammon and pineapple only to be told there was no pineapple. Food was average

I came here for two night with my parents for a family funeral in Glasgow, we shared one family room on a B&B basis.On arrival, we found that the booking wasn't on the system. Luckily enough they had a room. £180 for two nights! That wouldn't have been a shock, however my parents had stayed there twice previously - even staying in that exact room on one occasion. The first time they stayed, the room cost £55 for the night - for the room we stayed in! The second time it was £69. Both times B&B. I don't know how they then came to the conclusion that it was £30 per person, per night! Baffling!Had dinner there that night, lasagne wasn't too bad. My Maw had macaroni cheese, which was lovely and my Da went with the steak pie, which he enjoyed. We did order two specials that we were told about, we were then told, not five minutes later, they weren't actually available.Breakfast in the morning. Full Scottish, can't beat it.... it wasn't very hot and there was no square slice! What kind of dodgy establishment are you running here?! Lol.The window in the bedroom didn't close properly, it was missing the bottom handle. So from my bed by the window, I had a constant draft. That, along with the shower constantly dripping, was making me wonder why we had just been charged £180 for the pleasure of staying!All the staff we encountered were really nice and the bed was so comfy. The inly reason for the two stars is the fact that I did sleep well both nights, I just woke up cold is all.

Hadnt been for a few years at least but wow - place was deserted and now I know why. the food is something I could cook better myself (and I cant cook!!!). my 9 year old daughter has made us better desserts and presented them nicer. Seriously get a decent chef in and staff who can offer decent service. what a shame

We picked up a Wee overnight stay on 5pm for overnight with 2 course dinner and breakfast. Tbh, we only stay 10 min drive away but always like to get away for the night where possible. We arrived quite late as were working all day. We went into the bar to check in and were given keys to room 29. The room was pleasant, nice comfy bed, clean and tidy, only complaint was no coffee in the hostess tray but we didn’t discover that till the morning and it wasn’t a major problem, I’m sure if we’d asked for coffee it would have been provided. We went to the bar and chose our dinners, we both had black pudding and haggis fritters, they were massive and delicious, we then had steak pie with veg, chips and potatoes. The portion was again enormous and tbh, we didn’t manage to finish it. We then had a few drinks at the bar and the two girls working, violet and I didn’t get the other girl’s name, were both really friendly and welcoming. The bar prices were really reasonable especially for a hotel. We then had a great sleep. Breakfast next morning was very good. The service was great, coffee, toast, cereals and juice then a really nice cooked breakfast served with more fresh coffee. I can’t fault this hotel or its staff in anyway whatsoever and will def be using it again, even without the deal. Oh, and all this cost only £69 in total, £59 with £10 weekend supplement.

Just returned from a family meal here this evening. Food was awful and the restaurant itself was freezing - we had a plug in heater behind us which barely worked! Pate was bland, salmon over cooked, vegetables were boiled to within an inch of their life - so much so the Brussels sprouts had turned into mush. This was from a set menu (only option) which was clearly an attempt to get rid of festive produce, including merry Christmas napkins. As for the kids meal - deep fried chicken and chips in a batter so greasy everything was yellow! No artificial sweetener and draught soft drinks were flat. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

stopped here for 4 days food cold no choices at breakfast 1 slice of toast per person you did not have a choice for cooked breakfast either you got was given or go without tea and coffee was also cold terrible service never even said good morning nitemare.

Book a Christmas dinner for 28 of me and any family... It was amazing! Services was brilliant, staff where so accommodating. Thank you Crowwood Hotel for making our Christmas. The food was delicious and we will definitely be coming here more often!

siamo arrivati in questo "Hotel" a fronte di un viaggio organizzato tramite Atlas Tour di Glasgow, dire di una struttura fatiscente è dir poco. Giunti nel pomeriggio intorno alle 16,00 alcune camere non erano ancora state approntate, di queste camere alcune sembravano in stato di decomposizione, (fili elettrici vaganti, infiltrazioni d'acqua) davvero mortificante, per non parlare della cena e della colazione.Ovviamente nessuna colpa per il personale dell'Hotel de della stessa struttura, va da se che Atlas Tour non si è dimostrata all'altezza del suo altisonante nome.

Never again. Decor bland, no atmosphere either. Only us and one other couple in the restaurant, with no music to break up the silence we could all hear each other eat. Though seriously, we didn't do much eating. Partner ordered soup which was bland. Main course, with not much choice on the menu we both went for haddock goujons. One bite for him two for me and that was it. The battered fish was soggy with grease and no flavour. So we left and headed along to another place nearby. Very sad as this place was once quite good, definitely wouldn't recommend.

Ended up at this 'hotel' due to a misunderstanding at the hotel that was originally booked. Should have guessed it was not going to be a good experience as it was the only one in the area with vacancies!Check in was fine, but when entering my room I noticed that half of the ceiling lights were not working and there were ladders in the carpeted where the door had obviously been catching.Should have twigged the 'restaurant' was not going to be a good experience!!On entering the cookhouse the decor is not that bad, although the wait to be greeted and seated was. Chose the rump steak, as a grill what could go wrong? Answer-everything. Waited for half an hour for medium cooked steak (only one in the place waiting for food).After half hour, heard someone shout "has that food gone yet" with a reply of "I'm busy". Ten minutes later, still waiting. Food eventually arrived, dry,over cooked and tasteless. Could go on about complaints falling on deaf ears, crap service etc. But really can't be bothered. Bottom line, if you're ever stuck for a hotel in this area, or considering staying here, avoid this place at all costs. You'll be better sleeping in your car and eating at macdonalds!!Oh! And read the TA reviews.

Great night staff done everything for me. did not have to worry about anything the bridal suite was outstanding can't fault this place at all

Myself and 4 friends went for dinner before a business event and wish we hadn't bothered! What a complete waste of time and we left absolutely starving as the starters and mains were COMPLETELY inedible so much so the manager agreed and didn't charge (we wouldn't have paid for that crap anyway!) Between a mixture of a stale burger bun, meat and fish that were grey and obviously off, hard poached eggs, scampi that was impossible to cut through, warm coleslaw with a skin formed over it and a strawberry and melon dish without any strawberries and not even one full slice of melon.....we were massively underwhelmed and completely appalled that the chef and waitress thought it was acceptable sending that food out. Not to mention drinks orders were wrong and had to be sent back twice and a vegan option was asked for and and after a long wait the waitress advised the vegetarian option and we had to explain the difference. Menus were absolutely filthy that we all had to wash our hands after touching them, the full place is stinking and grubby and every person in charge had a bad dismissive attitude. Also not impressed that another member of our party who arrived after "dinner" saw the "manager" make a face & remarked about us complaining while scoffing at us. Absolutely atrocious service from start to finish in a really very run down place especially after we waited over 5 minutes for anyone to approach us to get us seated and we were only seated after 3 staff just walked right past us and we had to go looking for someone. If I'm being completely honest I've seen community centres in better shape who care about finishing details more than this place and who also care to remove the £3.99 b&m bargains price stickers off of their bins.

I agree with everything the other negative reviewer said. Reception staff welcoming, but not waiting staff. Cheap sandwich fillings, scones from freezer shop and slices of cake from supermarket shelf. We were the only ones in this dismal restaurant, and yet the waitress could not wait for us to leave before stretching across to clear the table. Even at the Deal price it was way too much! One of the very few occasions I did not leave a tip! Will never set foot in there again.

Visited for afternoon tea on a Groupon voucher I was given for my birthday, the food served did not resemble in any way the picture shown on the website advert.On arrival it looked pretty bleak and the hotel was quiet, we stood at the bar for several minutes however no staff appeared and we eventually located the dining section at the rear of the building ourselves.The tables and decor were clean and tidy however the service was vague and not very informative as to what was available.Our tea arrived served in stainless steel teapots which did not look clean and had certainly never been polished recently. The afternoon tea arrived on a stainless stand which was as dirty as the tea pots, the first layer comprised a selection of brown and white bread sandwiches. Ham & tomato, cheese& pickle, chicken in white sauce? and fish paste? edible but the last two were quite strange and the fish paste cheap and nasty whilst the chicken was like offcuts from something that had been left from previous meals.Layer 2 contained two fruit scones which looked suspiciously like savers products from a well known supermarket with the cheapest most basic jam and cream which was okay.The selection of tiny cheap cakes on the top layer was extremely poor and again looked like savers products, I would reiterate that they bore absolutely no resemblance to the products on the advertising promotion.Neither myself or my partner enjoyed the experience and will definitely never return, the full price is apparently £31 and the Groupon offer £16 - this was the worst afternoon tea I have ever experienced in my life.

Had an amazing time at tribute night. Staff were all lovely, meal was nice and great entertainment. Rooms were very clean and good breakfast. Would definitely go back.

They provide very good choice of meals for a hungry lunchtime.the steak pie dish was my favourite. I will go back soon.

Picked this venue for my daughter's first birthday party it was an ideal size room we got we weren't wanting a big function venue as was just a small family gathering and they accomdated us with a smaller room just next to the bar area. Room free to hire. Staff couldn't do enough for us the buffet was delicious will know where to go in future if any further smaller family celebrations.

Room was adequate, big comfy bed, The part that let this place down so badly was the grill restaurant. As soon as I read the word "grill" I assume a place that can cook a decent steak, how wrong could I be!Ordered a 10oz rump steak, girl never even asked how I liked it to be cooked and off she went to the kitchen. When she returned I said to her to make my steak rare please to which she answered, "yes"I really wish I had taken pictures of this because when it came out it was grey in colour and looked like it had been boiled, no blood at all sitting bubbling away on top, really looked horrible. Even the fat which should have went yellow was grey! I said to the girl as she placed it down, "I can guarantee you before I cut this that it is most definitely not rare". Upon cutting it was grey inside too so was promptly sent back.And so the second steak arrives looking exactly the same with no blood on top at all which had me worrying immediately. I asked her to wait while I cut it, yes it was rare inside but not a drop of juice seeped from the steak, this time I tasted it and it was revolting and I asked her to take it away and I ordered battered fish as there is no way I was ordering another steak. The smallest fish ever arrived, obviously half a fillet or less but by now I was starving and ate it.Really really disappointing that a place that has a grill written on the door cannot cook a simple steak. Do not order a steak here!

We ordered our food my soup was okay my husbands steakpie was cold sent it back to be re heated and my husband had finished eating i was still waiting on my main this took over half an hour i then had to take all the batter off due to all the batter being un edible. This cost was £29:80 for that and one coke and two pints would not recommend.

Groupon deal. Food was very nice and Fresh good quality. Presentation could have been a bit better Small tea pots had to keep asking for refills which were free thankfully

We stayed here for the weekend, very clean hotel, rooms were a good size. Bar was reasonable prices and a nice breakfast in the morning. Good location only 15 minutes from Glasgow city centre

Stayed overnight on Saturday in January b&b while attending 40th bday at the venue. Hotels main areas are ok and there is plenty of parking.Room itself is spacious and clean alas that's about the good points. Beds are 3! singles pushed together that desperately need the mattresses replaced, you are sinking so far into them that your neck on the pillow is at an awkward angle making sleep tough.If that wasn't tough enough the heaters warm up to the set temperature then click off with BANG, the rooms above (we were on the first floor) must have paper thin floor boards every trip to the bathroom or movement came straight through the floorboards.The buffet at the function was pretty dreadful, undercooked rice with chilli, overcooked chicken skewers, service at the bar was painfully slow.Breakfast in the morning was ok, buffet style - breakfast cereals, with a few hot options, didn't make up for the awful nights sleep though! there is a premier inn a minute down the road would stay there instead.

Been here several times for different reasons. Stayed overnight when at a Xmas night great night fabulous food accommodation fine breakfast excellent. Also at a wedding very well organized and catered perfectly.

The restaurant was dirty. Crumbs all over the floor and seats. All the cutlery on the table was old, bashed and greasy like it had been washed in cold water. The food was "greasy spoon cafe" quality.The lasagne was tasteless, and came with just a slice of garlic bread. No fries.The "thai chicken burger" was a frozen chicken breast sliced in half with sweet chilli table sauce poured on top, in a plain burger bun, half a dozen fried oven chips. (For £10.95!)The haggis pakora was cheap and nasty re-heated frozen chip-shop quality.They had no steaks at all.Service was very slow to stop, yet we were the only people in the restaurant.

Visit for what was expected a lovely Christmas dinner seeing as it cost us £140 for 2 adults and 2 children, but what we received I wouldn't even of payed 10% of this price!! I physically do not have the time to write all the errors but here are some of the highlights-Drinks - my wife and I ordered drinks on arrival and took 20 minutes for us to receive, but at least we received them. My father in law ordered a glass of water and had to ask 3 times before receiving his drink.Food - just awful standard throughout, after started was served and taken away had to wait an hour before getting cold soup. Then for the worst Christmas dinner ever, which i can best describe as slop on a plate and some members of our group dinner even get a pig in blanket where others got one and roast potatoes were the same!!Service - was the worst part, somes it up when the waiter tells you that the kitchen staff don't know what they are doing!!!We did ask to speak to someone regarding the above issues to give them a chance to explain, but after waiting for over half an hour gave up and left, with half the party getting desert and no tea or coffee!!Please please save your money or spend it else where. You have been warned!!

Enjoyed a meal in the restaurant we had on one of the nights we stayed there. The service was quick and efficient and staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and hot and tasty and decently priced. The restaurant was nicely decorated and quite cosy.

I'll not be using again. Poor facilities and customer service. Btw if hotel owners are reading, rectify flooring in gents toilets before accident occurs. Several damaged and loose tiles.

I'm very surprised to ready some negative reviews. Stayed last night and will most definitely stay again.the staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The beds are comfy the room was clean , tea and coffee in the room . The shower was lovely and warm . Although there was a bit of a wait on the food I must say it was worth waiting for . We had the prawn cocktail, garlic bread with mushrooms , steak pie and my wife's on slimming world so they made her meal to suit her requirements without a worry. Breakfast was just as good , selections of cereals, fruit juices and buffet cooked breakfast was amazing. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable and again the staff did a great job. Thank you guys and see you all again when we come along to one or more of your tribute acts with our friends/family .

Just home from a fab night at the Crowwood hotel. 6 of us had dinner, drinks and overnight stay. The staff were fantastic big thanks to Adam and Violet couldn't do enough for us so nice. Food was amazing everyone cleared their plates I recommend the chicken curry. Main hotel is lovely but rooms are a bit dated in need of updating comfy beds though and plenty of towels and pillows. Overall a great wee find will be back !

Overpriced, Food was average and service was shocking It's a shame because it looked better than it should have beenAnd has potential, but without sounding like a snob but a waitress who dosen't know what an expresso is? then was serviced with most of it on the saucer and desert was thrown on the table. Disappointing

My husband and I jus drove from Bournemouth to Glasgow for a wedding at the weekend and chose this hotel purely at random on the way up online ...booked direct & came with a comp breakfast ..we were lucky that there was a bit of a deal on so paid £130 for two nights ...when we arrived at midnight the night team were really helpful & chatty and the bar was still open so result! Our room was very nice, warm, well equipped with extra blankets & pillows and comp tea coffee, biscuits and toiletries and lovely big towels a larger room than ur average premier inn with a huge bed & TV & really powerful hot shower! A comfortable night sleep was welcomed after such a long drive and then a lovely fresh breakfast served with a smile despite us being the annoying ones who rocked up 15 mins before it finished!!!! The staff we encountered were all helpful and friendly and made conversation with you ...even passing cleaners they said hello ...yes the staff were multitasking and often one behind the bar but it's quiet at this time of year and doesn't need it! No longer than a few mins wait to get served which was fine! The ladies behind the desk were smiley and helpful and when we booked a taxi (approx £10 each way to Glasgow town centre) they advised us not to get a black taxi back as they may charge extra so jotted a number for us to get back with :-) The nightshift fella on the Saturday was really jolly and helped us with a loo roll when we fell short too lol! We overslept Sunday so missed breakfast :-( but were granted a late stay until midday which was fab thanks and again staff were pleasant on departure wishing us a safe journey back... I cannot understand why people are slating this at all! We were room 30 and were really happy with this hotel thanks to all the team if we find ourselves this way again we wouldn't hesitate to rebook! We found this a clean and friendly hotel what more do you need :-)

Where do we even begin!! So we arrived at 6.15pm. Didn't receive starter till 7.15pm that was 2 drinks down before stare even came. Nachos were chucked in the fryer and burnt was eating a plate of grease! Then all the hotel guests came down and got served straight away their started and main..by this time our starter hadn't even been took away! (30 mins later) main arrived another 40 mins later..that was 2 hours from when we arrived...mash potoroe size of 50p piece. .and chicken size of a baby's finger. Sent it back served a new one..was bone dry worse chicken I have ever tasted. Asked to speak to managed and no one arrived or informed us no one was coming. ..Over all a wasted Saturday night will never be returning to this Terrible place. .and here a picture of my scrawny chicken I wouldn't even feed to a dog...AVOID AVOID AVOID

Nice venue, nicely decorated. Went for a family dinner. Food was described on the menu one way but was not served the same. Ordered nachos which were supposed to come with a cheese sauce, guacamole, sour cream, salsa and grated cheese. They came out with 90% salsa and a tiny drop of sour cream. No cheese sauce or guacamole. Another member of our party ordered a different meal which was listed as coming with sour cream but it never came with it. We also ordered mushrooms in a garlic sauce as a starter, when it was served it looked like one single mushroom had been cut up in to tiny pieces. Also garlic bread was burnt. Food was average at best, being truthful. Wouldn't choose to go back for food but venue was decent and had polite staff.

Without doubt the slowest service and worst food I've had the misfortune of paying for. Took 10 minutes to get served at bar ( I was only one in) When I got menu it took another 20 mins to place order. My main course of steak and chilli burger was disgusting. The burger was over cooked to the point of tasting of charcoal and chilli tasted sour. How any so called chef can send out something so over cooked is an indictment of the standards this place sets.Horrible

Popped in for a beer and decided to have a snack, chilli nachos and chips, 40 minutes later a tiny portion of frozen chips arrived with the least "spicy" nachos ever. It was not busy and the bar staff seemed very used to complaints about slow service, so I guess it's a regular complaint. No excuse for service this slow.
