Never had macaroni sauce like that ... amazing and thee most delicious I've ever had 😍 Amount of meat in the mixed meat grill was rather disappointing though.

The best pizza I have had, fresh tasty dough and my modified pizza was accommodated for without complications such as restrictions to the menu or additional cost per item. We arrived quite closer to the closing time, and we were felt welcomed and not to worry about closing time and food arrived fast as well. Ordered a viggie pizza with added chicken !! Highly recommend it.. would definitely order it again and go with an empty stomach to try their dessert !!

Al Denté never fails to disappoint! We take our friends and visitors there and the food is always delicious. Last night was no exception. We all had different main courses, served by pleasant staff, and the dishes were well presented, tasty and affordable. Please support this local, independent restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!😋

The food had really good flavours however the spicy chicken pizza was meant to have brie cheese on it unfortunately it only had 1 tiny piece so that was disappointing and half of the calamari was soggy. Will try again they may have just been having a bad day.

Lovely Pizza and Bruschetta. But our Carbonara pasta sauce had split which wasn’t too nice to look at or try and eat. unfortunately for us that was the main bit of the order and i would have thought that would have been noticeable when the order was being put together. Shame because the rest was tasty.

The pizzas are so well done, with decent ingredients and generous. For £11 or £12, they're really worth it. When we ordered we had a little drink and they offered for us to enjoy our food at a little table, as originally we were takeaway. Staff are warm, inviting and gracious Food is hot, speedy and great value Lovely cozy atmosphere This would be ideal for an informal date or a catch up with friends!

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the place in general, it was quite busy when I arrived. I picked from the 2 course menu, which for £10.50 is really reasonable I also picked the monkfish special. The starter of chilli squid was great, not over cooked at all. So glad I picked the monkfish pasta special as it was so tasty and like the squid, the monkfish was cooked perfect. I finished off with tiramisu which was lovely too. Staff were attentive and nice atmosphere too. Would highly recommend. Couldn't fault my experience.

I’ll start with the positives, Delivery was early, the driver was polite and chatty, and the mozzarella sticks were really good! The negatives… the pizza was lukewarm in the middle and cold on the crusts, the spaghetti was bland and fishy tasting, and the profiteroles weren’t touched due to an unpleasant smell.

The lemon meringue tart is a true delight. Its buttery crust is the perfect base for the sweet and tangy lemon filling. The fluffy meringue on top adds a light, airy touch. Every bite is a perfect balance of flavors and textures. It's a must-try dessert that leaves you wanting more.

The absolute worst place i have dined in a long time. From the start they were very unfriendly and the whole place had a strange atmosphere. Ordered starters, the "fondue" was a very runny sauce. Every meal we had, was swimming in runny sauce. The people that served us stood at the bar and leered at us the whole time, it was very uncomfortable. Not a single person at the table finished their main. Inedible tripe. Garlic bread was nice. After mints turned out to be after oranges but were mouldy at the bottom. The server had the gall to look at the tip dish as we left.

2nd time here after discovering this humble, tiny, ‘blink & you’ll miss it’ place on the Prestwick to Ayr road. Advice - don’t blink and miss it. Service is excellent & authentic. The food is amazing. If you stumbled across their superbly prepared cuisine in the back streets of Naples, the quaint alleys of Capri or the bussling suburbs of Rome you’d view it as a fortunate find. To discover this place in Ayr is, well, just a delight. An absolutely wonder place that is ALL about well prepared food. - Mark & Debbie

Ordered in. 4 meals. Pasta dishes tasteless. Chicken dry. Pasta under-cooked. Beef ragu just poorly-braised cheap meat in huge chunks. Pizza is really just under-cooked dough and too much sauce (almost no cheese) which means everything slides off before being delivered. Also extremely bland. We did call when we saw the badly-presented first pizzas (not any toppings left on the pizzas, just in a puddle at the bottom left of each box and had made the box disintegrate in that corner) and binned them and to be fair to them they did send replacements (after leaving the phone on while discussing it while annoyed, the person who answered was pleasant though) but even the second ones delivered were so below par (see pictures for second ones delivered and these were, presentation wise way better even though still in no way good enough). Sorry owners, but a massively below par experience and will never re-visit. Even the aggressively average Pizzaioli is so much better.

Went to this restaurant a few days ago and the customer service was very poor, I overheard the owner being abusive towards his front of house staff which was totally unacceptable and unprofessional. However that was the least of my concerns as I found ants on my plate. When I raised this issue with the owner he didn’t appear overly concerned and was very dismissive regarding this matter and as a result we decided not to continue eating our food and promptly left

Oh my gosh the food was delicious! My boyfriend and I came in for a takeaway and we weren’t that hungry so shared a pepperoni pizza and mozzarella sticks and it did not disappoint! Also, the service was amazing; everyone was so friendly and our server was so chatty too which was a nice touch ☺️ Great prices too, I’d definitely recommend this to anybody.

The website is saying my food is delivered but I have no food

really annoyed about the delivery time especially when the estimated time before I made the order was 15-30 minutes...😡 also the boxes they use are not good as my salad dressing was all over my gnocco

Had read so many good things about Aldente.Took my adult Daughter for a Birthday lunch and was embarassed as it was just disappointing. The lunch prices were very reasonable no complaint there however the service was not good and the portions werd tiny. No thought to presentation whatsoever.a small square of lasagne in the middle of a plate no garnish or anything with it. The minestrone soup was in a tiny bowl and was tasteless. No offer of parmesan. The risotto was on a flat plate. The drinks were so overpriced Tiny bottle of coke and half pint lime and soda was 6.60 and 7.00 for 2 coffees. Wont be back.

The pasta this time was much much better (braised beef) but the sauce was salty so either overseasoned with salt or the pasta water done it. Still not a fan of the portion size for £14, should get at least 20% more pasta I think. Next time I'll try the Nduja pasta as I love Nduja but their pasta was severely disappointing. Pepperoni pizza with chicken was delicious! Will be back until I get my coupon but hopefully some things improve

My brother lived in Bassano del Grappa in the Veneto and I've up & down the Amalfi Coast like others have been to Blackpool, so I'm no expert, but I've tasted a nice dish or two. This was my third trip to Al Dente - first two times when it was not long opened and it was BYOB, now back and I'm glad to say the standard of the food as every bit as memorable (not just 'good') as I remember. Today, I had the special of the soup starter; beautiful thick, white flakes of fish on a red tomato base which I could have easily had another 2 or 3 bowls of. My main of meatball spaghetti was embarrassingly finished about 5 minutes before everyone else was close to making a dent in theirs. If I could have got away with licking my plate, I would have. Simple food done to a very high standard - sums this place up. I've looked in the window at the main menu before and some of the main dishes I fancy seem a wee bit overpriced around the £15-20 mark, but today's 2 courses for £10.50 is ridiculously good value for money.

Had a lovely 3 course meal. Starter was incredibly tasty and very generous portions, traditional carbonara and the cheesecake was as light as a cloud ☁️. Never tasted anything like it, amazing Aldente. I will 100% be back. Great, fresh & tasty Italian food😁

I waited an hour & 20mins (15min late) for my food. It wasn't worth waiting for. The food was cold and the pizza was doughy slop. The focaccia bread was hard tasteless pizza base.

Delivery time was terrible. Would have been nice to know at time of booking that it would be delayed. Stil haven't received food.

Really not worth the money the risotto was nice the desserts were awful. Cream out of a can!!! and just incredibly poor quality and taste. Probably cost less than £1 to make and you could tell. Certainly won’t order from here again. Very poor

first time ordering. I got the piccante pasta as I LLLLLOOOOOOOVE ndjua BUT the portion wasn't great and the pasta itself was underwhelming, you could hardly taste the ndjua. Thankfully the pasta wasn't overcooked BUT it certainly wasn't worth £15 when the likes of enzow give you a massive portion, it tastes nicer and is cheaper. The profiteroles were ok but there was no saltiness with the pistachios and the chocolate wasn't of a great quality. I'll be back to try the braised brisket pasta

Hidden gem in ayr, five 🌟 No more need to go Italy 🇮🇹 I used to travel lake como, Milan, Venice for authentic Italian cuisines. Trust me Aldente ayr food is much better. I visit this family run restaurant all the time.

Just moved to Ayr a week ago and the two times I've ordered, the delivery man was rude and has now put me off wanting to order in future. The first time was great, the pizza was authentic, the cheesecake was lovely and light. It all arrived hot and fresh. The delivery man was smarmy about not getting a tip and at one point, once he had made a fuss about me using cash, wasn't going to hand me the pizzas etc. This second time, the food (including calamari) arrived later than the ETA time, cold like it had been sat out a while. We had even preordered. We rang the restaurant and without questions they seem to know which order we were referring to and sent out the same order again, apologetic. When I opened the door, the delivery bloke greeted me with a sarcastic "is that warm enough for you?!" I didn't say anything as I was surprised he was being so hostile. He backpeddled and made an excuse about not having a warm bag to keep the items inside of and blabbered on. I was pleasant with the driver despite his poor attitude. I think it's fairly reasonable to expect to have your food delivered fresh, with a delivery driver who isn't aggressive. I would suggest reviewing your delivery drivers and their attitudes. If they were more pleasant, they might recieve tips. The overall experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be ordering a takeaway from Aldente again.

Been here quite a few times now & the food is always good. On my last visit a few weeks ago, I brought my own bottle as I had in the past, only to be told I could not have it as they now have an alcohol licence. Now that it's no longer 'bring your own bottle' I don't think I'll be back.

Strong menu choice and variation. Specials board a welcome addition and not pushing the expensive dishes. Nice experience, good food, calm and warm service, good value.

Food tastes great but pizzas where cold, when arrived they where just sitting in car, no bag to keep warm, we had to re heat in oven before eating

Went as 2 couples for a meal . Our first time here . . We reserved a table for 4 but when we arrived the person that took the booking didn't tell them that we'd booked . .2 of us had lasagne 1 had pizza 1 had the carbonara . The carbonara had to be sent back as the sauce tasted like peppercorn sauce and not the creamy sauce that you'd expect . . The lasagne was like 2 sheet of pasta with mince over the top . No cheese no white sauce too be seen . . All in all we were let down with the meal . And won't be back as we'd wasted £100 . The meals are not cooked by Italians as the name of the restaurant would make you think . . .

Meat overcooked and tasted off so stopped eating it. Bacon in carbonara burnt and overwhelmed the flavour of the dish which had little sauce anyway, won’t buy from this restaurant again as the dishes were overpriced for quality and portion size.

The food was amazing, although a little bit salty in my opinion. But despite that, everything was a lot better than I expected for a small place like this. The portion is really good compared to other restaurants out there.

Nice place. Great pizza. Service not great. I think one wee girl was just learning though. Asked for icecream. Gave up waiting. Missed out on that payment. I know staff are like hens teeth at the moment but staff need to look keen at least to clear tables which shouldn't need much training. Maybe next time it'll be better.

Sorry won’t be back here for dinner ! Staff very young and service dreadful! We booked a table but the young man we told that we had a reservation ,didn’t acknowledge it??? I had Carbonara which had small slivers of pork in it, not bacon and mushrooms like I expected but that may be the Romano version?? My husband had chicken! Meals not served at the same time which is basic surely, when we asked for them to be served at same time please, we got looked at like aliens from mars! I was asked did I want Parmesan ,then a dish was plonked in front of me to do it myself! Desserts very disappointing especially the home made tiramisu ,which tasted of exactly nothing! Big let down for an Italian restaurant! Again one dessert served at a time, then on the third trip we got spoons! One of which the waiter dropped on the floor but brought to the table anyway! As has been said they have No license for alcohol despite having been open for a while now! Chef had no chef whites on and a flesh coloured plaster! Isn’t it mandatory to have blue plasters in a kitchen? Won’t be back ! A real shame, we visited this place when it opened and got take out which was excellent, chef was young and Italian and we wished him all the best! Really disappointed on our first and only meal dining in, that we had promised ourselves for ages! Standards seem to have slipped since then!
