Vito's in South Ayrshire

Just a walk in. Wed looked at a few places but nothing was grabbing our eye. Then clocked Vito's. Decor was really nice & as it turned out the food was excellent as well. Thoroughly enjoyed it & I'm pretty sure next time we're in Prestwick we'll be back

We were regulars at Ayr Vitos .but only once in prestwick .Decided to give it another go last night. Sorry to say disappointing starter ok although a little dressing on salad would have helped. Main we went boring last night lasagne well what can I say mines had more tomato sauce and stringy cheese than actual lasagne.hubbys was same only cheese was burnt ..decided against dessert as we wanted away resteraunt was empty on entering and another couple when we left .sorry to say not a great place anymore shame as food was always excellent

My family ordered pasta and pizza for dinner. It wasn’t that good! Pizza was like frozen pizza we can get it from the market and the pasta was like normal pasta I can make it at home. No special taste here! I wouldn’t go back!

Very good Italian restaurant - could have done with one more person serving

My bf took me to Vitos for my birthday dinner tonight. Food was amazing. Service was amazing. We both had chicken tempura as a starter. Steven had spaghetti carbonara n I had lasagne

Had lunch here on Saturday afternoon and it was fantastic! We had no problem booking a table and they were very accommodating when we needed to change the time. We both had a starter and main from the 2 course menu, I would have loved to try one of the desserts, but I was too full! The girl serving us was really friendly and the decor was really nice too.

Vito’s is a great little Italian restaurant in Prestwick. We tried to go earlier in the week but they were solidly booked, the golf crowds I’m sure. One evening they accommodated us late in the night, for which we are grateful. They were very supportive of us dining with a three year old in tow, and ensured his food came out fast. The meal was 11£ for two courses so we got the tempura chicken, which was good because it was actually quality chicken. Our son really wanted to go back a day later. He got ice cream too. We really enjoyed their tasty minestrone soup with bread, penne amatriciana and the sea bass was outstanding. This was beautifully cooked and came with potatoes and grilled vegetables. Staff were very efficient and helpful.

Place lovely nice atmosphere staff wer a delight but the food was absolutely exceptional.Great size portions and the tastes were amazing. Will deinitely go again without hesitation

Walked past this wee gem several times and for the first time decided to pop in for lunch. Cannot sing the praises of the staff highly enough, very accommodating, took the time to ensure my six year old daughter was entertained and well fed. A challenging task at the best of times! Food was excellent, albeit fairly standard Italian crowd pleasers, especially the parma ham starter. Great value and atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon. Went back this afternoon, some years later than earlier review, tis still amazing 😊👌👍 a must on P'wick High Street...

I can't praise this restaurant highly enough. The service is excellent and that starts with the minute you walk in the door. Your order is taken when your ready with a friendly waitress. The kitchen must be well organised because all your meals come out together (6people) they can't be anymore attentive but not at the table every 5 minutes. I don't think the price is too high. Just right. I'm frightened to say too much in case it is too busy for me to get a table. Thanks ALL the staff

Set in the middle of a busy Prestwick street, Vito's offers excellent Italian food at a good price. The menu is excellent -- choosing what we wanted was a challenge, there were so many good options. We were both extremely pleased with our meals. If we lived near here, we would be regulars.

Brilliant as always. Food was outstanding. Service was superb. Server at our table was simply a bundle of joy. Best experience I've had in any restaurant ever.

We have come back to this restaurant time and again. We have 4 children but nothing is a bother to the staff here. We tend to book early afternoon so as to go when it is quieter. The food quality is excellent. The kids menu also has a good variety. The pace of the service is spot on. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I really can’t recommend it enough.

Was out in Prestwick for drinks and we decided to grab some dinner as well so tried vitos and absolutely loved it. The food was brilliant and the service and staff were great, very friendly and attentive. There were four of us and we all had different dishes and not one disappointed. A great find and we will definitely be back!

Staying locally for a wedding and fancied a local restaurant. Found this on Google and gave it a try. Amazing food. Pizza was lovely. My wife had sea bass and she said it was gorgeous. Lovely atmosphere. A real gem of a place.

I have eaten here a few times and the food is very fresh, tasty and good value. Pizzas are lovely with a light sourdough base. Very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Staff very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Once you find somewhere to park, the restaurant is on the main street. It is a lovely place with a good atmosphere and really friendly staff. We had the pizzas and a salad, both of which were excellent.

Christmas set menu (£23 for two courses) - seated at the window - lovely main street view. 3 of us - all went for tempura king prawn starter - spot-on! Rigatoni Carne for main and Braised Beef. Very good - pasta and veal strips delicious. A couple of large red wines (Malbec) & a pint of Moretti - £85 bill. Great value, and take a bow, Nicola & Erin - friendly, efficient and attentive service!

Just been for lunch to Vitos in Prestwick. Food was fresh and hot and absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and very efficient. First time I have ever been, but certainly won’t be the last. Would highly recommend

Disappointed with our people over priced and very poor portions

We ate here on a Saturday night - always reassuringly busy :) There were 4 of us. Two got pizza - Farmhouse pizza & Margarita pizza with two side orders of chips. And two got the chicken main - Pepper chicken and Tuscan chicken. I had the Tuscan chicken which was just out this world delicious! See photo. Vegetables were cooked to perfection (not overdone) chicken was succulent, mashed potato was lovely and creamy and the sauce was to die for! So rich and full of flavour...perfect with the mushrooms and sun blush tomatoes on the plate. 10/10. Then we had a pudding. Torta Della Nonna, Sticky toffee pudding, apple pie crumble, and I had the 'Jaffa' cake which again, were all fabulous. Lovely place with really nice decor, great staff and no ridiculous wait times for the food. This is our favourite place in Prestwick for a meal out...never disappoints.

We had a great meal the dish I chose came with potatoes I asked could I have chips instead and was told I would have to order the chips as a side dish ?. The dish was lovely and service was good.

Excellent meal at Vito's. Tuscan veg stew with garlic ciabatta absolutely delicious. My mum has the lasagna and said it was lovely. Great food and service. When I visit prestwick again will make a beeline for this place.

Sometimes you just know a restaurant is going to be good whenever you visit. Vitos is such a place. Spotlessly clean, fresh ingredients and great service. We all noticed that the plates were warm too! A simple thing but makes a big difference.

Visited this resturant many times and the standards have been maintained throughout.

Luckily for me pizza hut has moved out of Ayrshire. We visited Vito's because it was my son's birthday, he wanted to go to pizza hut for the ice-cream machine, not the food!! After driving across Ayrshire we stumbled across Vito's, I loved the decor, service and the price. The goats cheese pizza was too busy, less is more in this case, couldn't taste the individual components due to the abundance of all of them. This is being a tad harsh as I'd happily eat there again. Hopefully Pizza hut never return to Ayrshire!!!

A wee bit more interaction with customers but overall couldn't really fault Vito's

Booked a table on a Friday evening and had the 2 course special which had numerous plates including vegetarian and Vegan options. Staff were very welcoming and attentive Food was very good and look forward to returning soon

Be warned, no flexibility. Popped in for the cake and coffee while on a day out. They took our order after 10 minutes and the manager then told us the special had finished 3 minutes ago. We asked if they could be flexible. Yes they could give us the cake and coffee at full price. Sigh. From other reviews, we were unlucky. Still that was our experience.

I was in Ayr with my sister for a family event and we decided we wanted to eat "proper Italian" one evening so I searched for recommendations. This place came up and, as it was convenient to where we were staying, we decided to give it a try. We couldn't have made a better choice. It doesn't look particularly impressive from the outside but don't be put off by that. Inside it had a lovely ambience. (As a passionate cyclist, the cycling theme won me over very quickly). The lovely young lady who greeted us showed us to our alcove table and was quick to take our drinks order. The menu offered lots of choice - from pasta to pizza to meat and fish dishes. I had the Penne Vito and my sister had the Lasagne. The portions were generous and the food was excellent (although I'm not sure the Italians would serve chips with the Lasagne). My sister then took on something for dessert which was very creamy with lots of calories while I tucked into a second large glass of the house red wine. Prices here are reasonable and not cheap but you expect to pay for quality and everything about the place was excellent. If you really want a bargain, go at lunchtime for the 2 course menu for £16.99. We will certainly go back when next in the area.

Great wee Italian in the heart of Ayrshire

Very consistent excellent food served by great staff who care about your experience. Some of the best Italian dishes we have eaten. Minestrone , Lasagne and all of the chicken dishes are high quality , tasty and worthy of a separate mention!

It’s our anniversary, was hoping for some nice Italian…delivered, since we got married in Italy. Website didn’t work, phoned twice and no one answered… very disappointed. Now I need to order a commercial America pizza 🤷‍♂️ Oh well.

Great service and lovely food. Only Italian in prestwick. Most places in town are pretty generic and serve the same food. I'd say this place is exactly the same as everywhere else but it has the upper hand when it comes to pizza and also in regards to it's macaroni cheese... I'd say it's the best in town.... but if a Scottish Italian doesn't sell a good macaroni cheese...it's pretty much pointless being an Italian 🤣

Friendly waiting staff. Moretti on tap. Generousamount of smoked salmon on the bruschetta. Lasagne was tasty but watchout, it will take the roof off your mouth its so hot!

My husband and I went for the 2 coarse lunch on Saturday. While food is lovely the portions were very poor , we came away still hungry. I gave them the feed back when they took the plates away but she didn't seem to interested. Some more potatoes ,more vegetables and a bit of salad on the starter would have solved the problem

4 stars as I know it’s a good restaurant but get a grip only able to order takeaway online? Tried calling when out in Prestwick told “you need to use the app to order” thought it’s just a few doors away I’ll pop in? Oh no you don’t can’t even order in the restaurant. Ended up phoning the Taj Vito’s loss. There’s technology & then there’s comon sense. Time to adapt me thinks

First visit to this restaurant. Food is very good and well presented, also very good value for money. Decor is very nice and restaurant is clean and tidy. Staff are so friendly and courteous. Both of the staff who attended to us were also very cheery. Overall.... great. Will be back again. Thanks Vito's.

Last Pizza! Visited Prestwick and popped in with a friend for a pizza. Had a starter and it was fantastic and the staff was nice. Ordered pizza as my main course, really disappointed! My pizza only tasted garlic as they have garlic in the tomato sauce.
