This place looks very beautiful and clean. Staffs are amazing and foods are fresh. They are very friendly and food taste great.

Jay and Flav provided excellent food and service. Will definitely return for the fish tea.

Blue Lagoon Ayr,next to the bus station.Best experience we have had for a while.We were served by a young man called Jay Savet who treated us like royalty.A very pleasant and happy person who will be a tremendous asset to any employer who takes him on.You should be excited such an asset in your employment.Please look after him,and he will look after you.I wish him a great future.

Ordered 4 Chicken burgers at £5.50 each. Total £22. I was mortified to get home and find a dry burger in a bun. Yes you guessed it, no salad, no sauce, nothing but 4 dry burgers in buns. See attached photo's. Having been everywhere in the world, there is no place that has as poor a standard of food as Ayr. School dinner food at Michelin star prices - sums it all up. To the restaurant's credit I took the burgers back and they put some salad and mayo on. For that it gained two stars, but this is getting reported straight to head office. I've had enough. Try Marco's round the corner which is reasonable with decent food.

Had some of the best fish I’ve had for ages here one night as a sit in with our two kiddies. Expertly cooked with banter from Graham and Flav and excellent service from Jay. Even suggested a better deal for us off the menu than what we picked (cheaper!)

Absolutely fab experience. Visited Ayr for the day and took the kids for lunch. Our dog was also welcome. Our waiter Jay was excellent, very friendly and attentive. The food, cooked by Flav, was fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area for a visit

Staff didn’t know how to work card reader and tried to charge twice saying that the charge hadn’t gone through even though the screen said it had. He started to argue saying that if I wanted my order I would have to pay again. Walked out, got home , checked my bank account and the money money had been taken. Better staff training needed. Maybe a coincidence but the chip shop round the corner was queued out yet the Blue Lagoon was empty 😡😡😡😡

I pop in twice a month for my supper after my painting workshop at the Chatterbox Cafe The staff are always cheerful and the place is very bright and inviting in these winter months.

Excellent Gluten free fish supper. Freshly cooked, separate fryers and really understanding friendly service. Such a treat to get a proper sit down chip shop meal. Separate GF condiments tray too with vinegar and sauce. Thank you!

Service is tip top. The staff are all great! Food is decent enough but not the best chippy food I've ever had.

Been in a few nights now, fantastic service and professional staff every time. Our server Jay was seemingly in himself tonight and handled the order taking and food prep perfectly! He served us with a friendly attitude and was very efficient and quick despite being the only one on the counter and in the kitchen. Kudos to Jay!

My husband and daughter ate in this branch this evening with myself. Both of them have coeliac disease and ordered off the gluten free menu, 2 hours later and both are ill with their stomach with symptoms of gluten contamination. We used to eat here often but will not be back. Service this evening was awful.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it won’t be our last, the service was excellent as was the food, the restaurant was cosy, welcoming and spotless clean, the themed decor adds to the fantastic ambience,Staff Kim and Ali were amazing Kim is area manager of 4 shops and admits this is her favourite, Ali was the chef but made sure our wee dog had his bowl of water, the upstairs toilets were spotless clean with soap, hot water and hand driers. All the food was made fresh to order and delicious my wife had the scampi I had macaroni cheese both served with chips. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant next time in Ayr.

Fantastic fish and chips with great service! Chef Ali really knows how to cook perfect, crispy battered fish - absolutely fresh and flaky inside. Our waiter Jay was attentive and friendly, making our family dinner even more enjoyable. The dining room was clean and comfortable. Definitely worth visiting for a proper sit-down fish and chips meal with the family. Will be back again!

Out for a sponsored walk, we were looking for somewhere to stop for something to eat. Easier said than done when you can’t eat gluten or dairy, but the staff at the Blue Lagoon provided me with my first ever sausage supper - and there were no nasty after effects either. A separate menu, separate fryer - and even a separate condiments tray - made for a lovely experience that gave me absolute confidence all was safe to eat. Massive thanks to Flavio, Lyndsey and our lovely, chatty server Darlene, we’re looking forward to returning soon. Can’t recommend them enough for those unable to eat gluten and dairy.

It was a great and enjoyable experience at Blue Lagoon today. Jay and Flav gave us the best treat of our lives as we got served the best fish and chips, salad , pizza, chicken breast and drinks! It was a sizzling meal as we devoured the exotic dishes and we wondered why we hadn’t discovered this place since we arrived Ayr in Scotland. Trust me, it was unforgettable!!!

I was greeted by a lovely couple who couldn't do enough. The fish (haddock) was super fresh and perfectly cooked. The restaurant was clean and tidy. They advertise traditional fish and chips, but it is all a step above that.

We ordered food from Blue Lagoon on Wellington to eat outside the restaurant. The service was amazing, Lindsay and Ali were very friendly and helpful. The food itself was amazing. The chips were perfect, we also tried the half pizza was delicious and the fish was very nice too. We also had the battered mars bars which came with a scoop of ice cream and was delicious. Would highly recommend this place.

Been here several times as well in the past whenever we visit this city. This time we are accompanied by some foreign guests. Like us they are also very pleased. The service was very good and Jay was also very kind and good. The food was also delicious

Ordered special fish supper, normal single fish & peas. Special fish was very dry & the single fish batter was soggy. Peas weren't the best either. Best of the lot was the chips. More or less £30.00 and was still hungry because we couldn't eat it. We were told Blue Lagoon was nice food, maybe we caught them on a bad night.

Went here as Marco's was closed and this was just around the corner. Two fish suppers, two drinks and pickles to takeaway £29!!! The fish was ok but had boney ends. The chips not great at all. The wait for the food to be cooked unacceptable, even if they'd been cooking the chips fresh (which ours weren't) the waiting time was far too long, couldn't understand why. First time visiting here since it changed over from The Wellington and we definitely won't be back. The prices are beyond the average family, really felt like we'd been ripped off 😞

I went to blue lagoon in Ayr and I liked so much, food was very nice and they were very friendly, I went with my daughter, she was very happy and comfortable.Place looks clean and tidy. Thanks for that to the personal: Iay, Graham and Lindsay you all are really good people

Very Disappointed I’ve had better fish to be honest the fish had a lot of bones in it and the batter was soggy, I like crispy batter. I had to wait for my fish to be cooked and I asked if my daughter could sit and eat her chips, cheese and curry inside while I was waiting, one of the servers said yes but as soon as my fish was ready another guy with black hair came through to the restaurant and told us we needed to leave because we were getting a takeaway, he was quite rude, you’d think if you spent over £40 you’d be allowed to sit for 5 mins!! However, I would like to say that the guy at the counter was very patient as my kids wanted to order and pay separately with their card and the other guy who let us sit in was friendly, I would have given 2 stars if it wasn’t for the two friendly staff members! It’s a shame, I also think it is very over priced and some deals would be helpful when you have a family!

Went here for a chippy tea. Tasted amazing, clean and tidy restaurant. Staff were fantastic. Very polite, friendly and we were served very quickly.
