Empire State Coffee in Dundee City

New York bagel, custard tart and flat white coffees. Been going here for years when they were on the high street. Great food, coffee and staff. Highly recommend it to everyone visiting Dundee

Great tea, coffee, sandwiches, croissants, cakes, etc. Small place serving big food. Absolutely brilliant for breakfast/brunch. Very busy, tables up and down, lots of takeaway. Exceptional value for money, great staff.

Went here for breakfast since it is just around the corner from my hotel. Loved the coffee. The food was also very nice and the staff really friendly.

I was previously unfamiliar with Empire State Coffee but popped in because it was open at the early time I wanted to have breakfast. I ordered a bacon roll and latte. You could taste the difference in the quality of the coffee. I was delighted with the quantity and quality of crispy bacon in my roll. I was able to sit down and have my breakfast brought to me. Even though it was busy in the shop everyone was served promptly and the atmosphere was really chill. I had slept poorly and this experience genuinely made a difference to my day. Great cafe in central Dundee with excellent coffee and Mediterranean snacks. Good for Breakfast, Lunch, Brunch, Drinks. Food is fresh and variety of breads and fillings is extensive.

Great spot in the heart of dundee. Good choice for lunch or just a tea/coffee with cakes with seating downstairs. Can be a bit tight in terms of space upstairs though. But decent quality in terms of food quality of the items it sells. Friendly service as well.

Stopped by walking from train station to town midweek mid morning. Quite busy inside but we got a table for 2 quickly, seating available downstairs also. This is a fab spot, excellent coffees (flat whites), great choice of pastries, cakes, pastel del Nata & superb selection of savoury & lunch options. Probably the best coffee on our Scottish travels! Excellent bread & sourdoughs available & a sourdough fruit bread, wow, what a find. Loved this place 👏 The staff were friendly & the loo was clean.

Lovely little place for lunch. We both had bagels and did a half n half swap, both were absolutely delicious. Good selection of croissants, panini's, flatbread etc along with some amazing looking cakes. The coffee is quite simply the best I've had in town.

What a gem in the midst of the center of Dundee. One of the best coffee shops I've ever stumbled into around the globe -- very reasonable prices, great selection of sandwiches, bagels, toasts and sweet treats. Remarkably friendly service. 100% a great spot to try if you are in Dundee. I'm a tea drinker so I can't comment on the coffee but the tea was lovely.

Popped in here while waiting to catch a train. Found great, friendly service and a cozy yet buzzy atmosphere. The coffee is really good and my carrot cake was delicious. The soup and sandwiches also looked lovely and everything was reasonably priced. Definitely recommend the two minute walk out of the railway station if you have time!
