Has always been the place to go. Great mix of people, always so friendly. Great venue with fab live music. Staff are great and know how to run a busy bar, which is an advantage. If you're looking for a place to go, it's worth a visit

Possibly the best mac and cheese I've ever had and the nicest staff. Saw a great local band called Two Wheel Good there back in 2017. Amazing live music!

The bar is special to staff are amazing very polite and freindly I get a good feeling when I walk in there it has it's own vibe positive ofcourse and being a single male it seems to attract beautiful woman I would say even the girls who work there are to me like models I was at agig one afternoon it was realy good atmosphere a gret crowd and the tribute band where very good and there live sound mixed by kit Clark was second to none a great gig and a great afternoon x

Was here for an early Christmas night out. Live music was amazing, drinks are reasonable priced. Would definitely recommend taking a trip to this little gem of a place.

Había un magnífico cuarteto femenino en el escenario: Maggie Ferry Quartet que ofrece excelente música. ¿Por qué no los hemos visto antes? Nos encantaría volver a Clarks Bar y ver a las chicas jugar nuevamente. 10/10

Estuve aquí el jueves por la tarde para ver a Chris Difford de Squeeze. Fue mi primera visita aquí, pero ciertamente no será la última.Es un lugar perfecto para música en vivo con un amplio estacionamiento en la calle al alcance de la mano. El lugar tiene c 120 cuando algunos están sentados y c 180 cuando todos están de pie. Teníamos una vista perfecta del pequeño escenario y el sonido era perfecto. Las entradas fueron fáciles de reservar y el personal muy amable.

good if you like a really busy pub, bad was ok but lots of drunk people, I like having a drink but it was too full on for me.

Visited to hear Paul Young's Los Pacaminos with friends, great atmosphere , great music from the band , very good wine list and beers, a great night, will return :)

Tried this pub as we were staying in Dundee for weekend. Had a great night, had a good live band on that played soft rock 60s,70sn 80s. Staff waited on us from our table and there is a dance floor if you feel like a boogie. Would return, Go early to get a seat about 8pm.

Our hotel was situated just around the corner from Clark's and as we enjoy live music and we were recommended by a local couple we visited on Friday evening.

Been to Clarks for meals but where it stands out is the weekend entertainment with great bands & the late licence makes it even better. ...great atmosphere

Normalmente terminan aquí cuando en una noche. Buen lugar de música y un buen dj después. Nunca deje normalmente hasta la hora de cierre. He visto algunas críticas quejándose del precio de la bebida, pero de verdad, cualquier dinero entretenimiento y tiene que ser cubierto....

Visité hace un par de semanas, y aunque tienen un buen número de bombas en el bar, no uno de ellos tienen cerveza!

20 Dos de nosotros fuimos a almorzar, nos habían pedido que comprobar ya era un grupo grande. Incluso con un par de cambios de nuestra comida fue servida rápidamente sin errores y todo caliente. Todos disfrutamos de su comida. . La comida elegida por nosotros iban de envolturas, panni sopa, pescado, hamburguesas, tacos, etc. Buena selección de menú, el personal es muy atento, nunca tuve que ir a las bebidas del bar siempre traídas por el personal. Un toque agregado era me dieron una bebida gratis de mi elección como era mi no muy bien pensados. Sin duda volveremos.

Regularmente vienen aquí para ver músicos locales e internacionales. Un lugar fantástico con un buen bar y comida de pub. Muy amable y complaciente. Lugar pequeño pero agradable y acogedor.

Visited this bar for the 1st time while in dundee and reali enjoyed the live entertainment..the bar is very busy gr8t atmosphere will return on my nxt visit..

Great gig intimate venue drinks reasonable price and staff friendly. Cannot comment on food as we didn't eat but it looked ok.

Had an awesome night . Staff were brilliant, making sure everyone had what they needed. Food was great - getting 20 meals out at the same time is no mean feet! Cocktail delicious and very reasonably priced.. atmosphere great too x thanks so much for making my night so special

It was ok for a Christmas meal. Where stuck in a corner. Staff were friendly tho. Cheap drinks .....

Having spent some 4 hours sensibly (or not) paying £3.60 per pint our group (totally sober) were asked to leave as a musician was playing from around 8pm - Clarks were happy to take our money whilst the pub was empty but would not allow us to retain our seats at the back of the pub (where we could not see, nor were interested in the musician). I will not return with friends who regularly frequent the place at weekends whilst I was supporting them during their quiet times - extremely dissapointing and shortsighted by Scott Clark (the owner) ☹️

A little pub hidden away, really great food for great prices. I had macaroni cheese and chips, one of the best i've had and you get a good portion. They always have live music which really adds to the atmosphere.

Brilliant night out with friends for my hen night, we had booked seating and the bar were great at keeping in touch with arrangements and gave me a lovely cocktail when I arrived the band that were playing called two wheels good had us all dancing and having fun

Went along with friends to Clarks, live music was on. Was very busy, 10 min wait for q cocktail however it was delicious and worth the wait. Waitress brought it over too. Band was good but VERY loud, couldn't hear anything else. Quite expensive for drinks.

Good lively music venue and pub the food was pub grub but disappointing. Can get very noisy and rowdy and is overall a rather dark bar. Overall a rather average but busy bar.

Clarks has to be one of the best live music pubs around. With some amazing original artists playing each week to the top class cover bands, followed by a DJ until the early hours on a Friday and Saturday night. A vast selection of drinks, superb food and wonderful staff, make Clarks the place to be.

Went on footie supporters deal....two course meal and five drinks for £25. The food was very well cooked with nice garnishes, and we were given vouchers for the drinks. Went back after the match and a reggae band was performing. Liked the decor,the staff and the atmosphere. Recommend!

Second visit to Clark's to see Rory McLeod. Perfect venue for live music with good food and great staff too.It is not a chain - it is an independently owned and run kitchen bar with its own personality.Even has hair-straighteners for use by customers in the ladies!Live music Thursday to Saturday plus Sunday Song Night.Looking forward to my next visit.

Attended a Westfest gig at Clarks which also hosted a pop up restaurant event. The tickets were £27.50. The food which had been prepared by a Masterchef contestant was very poor. The tasters were in actual fact five canapés. Although the music in the form of 2 live bands were great myself and my friends felt that in terms of the food we had been ripped off. The staff serving the food were quite rude and did not make us feel very welcome. This was my first time in Clarks and I certainly will not rush back.

A good pub with good pub food where you can take children for lunch without any bother, pretty good.

Excellent food served here, A Must visit place if you feel a bit peckish while in Dundee. Steak pie is to die for, Huge servings with a twist. The fish is also one of my favs .

£3.20 a pint of lager and nine customers no atmosphere so why charge such a price and didnt even get a full pint .3/4 off a pint mostly foam

Fantastic food. Steak Pie is wonderful, superb rich gravey. All dishes were served promptly, and were of generous proportion. They sometime have BOGOF on meals, so even better value

We booked a table for lunch, but there was no need. The pub was completely empty. This is never a good sign for a bar which is very close to a shopping center and minutes from the center of town.But I was so surprised with the great service and great pub food. The menu is not fancy, but the food is very well made and they are not tight with their portions.Good points• Great basic pub food• Very reasonable prices for what you get• Great service• Plenty of tables for lunch• Large selection of beersLow points• Very small wine list. 3 red, 3 white• Not very busy, could lack atmosphere Recommendation: The macaroni cheese is amazing. Maybe doesn't look much from the outside but does a good range of lunch time food, well cooked and presented by friendly staff. Macaroni cheese is my have again and again favourite but then nachos and cheese are fab too. And you can get a loyalty card

I booked a table for me and 2 friends for a meal on a Friday night, one of my friends has a mobility problem. It was booked for 5pm and we were aware by a sign on the table we would have to leave at 7.30pm. We had a meal which was ok and a few drinks. At 7pm we ordered a drink and thought we would have half an hour to drink this. At 7.05 the barmaid told us to move as she was removing the table and seats, we said we thought we had to move At 7.30, she told us to move now as she was about to finish her shift, I asked for 5 more minutes to finish and she told us to move now, my friend cannot stand up for long and as there were no other seats we had to wait at the door and call as taxi to take her home. We had spent around £85 and felt we were treated as a nuisance. We will not go back as this member of staff was rude and aggressive.

The title says it all. The food was burgers and stuff like that but very nice and tasty. Some nice craft beers in bottles (would benefit from some draught cask beers) and the music was great in an intimate surrounding.

My wife and I travelled up from Ayrshire to see the Dundee band Revolver play again and I am always blown over by this place,The bar is just a non stop party with great friendly staff who are very accomodating and cheerful.The band were fantastic adding to the atmosphere on the nightThe bar prices are very reasonable too and with free entry to the gig we had a great night at little expense.

Went to Clarks for a family lunch. Nice staff, great food. Very competitive pricing. Would recommend the home made beef burger and the cajun chicken burger. Nice chips. Good portions and drinks well priced too.

Having visited this bar several times for a drink and to watch fantastic live music my wife and I went to clarks for a christmas meal prior to the gig.We were not dissapointed ,we had a 3 course meal for £15.50 each and a bottle of wine was only £12.50 so a very reasonable price for a quality meal.The gig after was fantastic and also free as we were in the bar before the start of the entertainment.Staff very friendly and the band (Revolver) brilliant.

I went here last night for my work Christmas meal/party & I very much enjoyed it. I don't normally go to pubs but this establishment is very welcoming and staff are very attentive and up for a laugh. Food was tasty and very filling, I couldn't finish my dessert I was so full! Bands were good and the atmosphere was welcoming & warm. Will be back in the future! :)

Performed here on Sunday with my band and absolutely loved it! Brilliant place, brilliant vibe and amazing atmosphere! Will definitely be going back here for food and drinks and some live entertainment!! Lovely staff too.

Clarks offer an interesting menu and food is fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. My only criticism is there is not enough tables at busy times, plenty space in the bar but you have to be early to get a seat. Aside from that a nice place to be. Well done clarks!!!

Affable staff,Excellent music and Reasonable bar prices and free admission when entering early enough to see the entertainment. Excellent communication between the bar and myself allowed a perfect night in Dundee. Five stars from me

Been in Clarks twice. First time it was for a drink after we had eaten elsewhere and ended up standing in the middle of the room surrounded by people, no seats available or any sort of room. Second time we went along for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and value! Will definitely be back for food, maybe not for a night out!

Popped in for an after work vino with the girls and what a great atmosphere. Such a busy pub , reminded me of pubs when I worked in London. There's not many places in Dundee like this. Staff came round with some food which was so nice , quite different from other bars I have been in. Vey spacious with really cool staff who make the effort to engage with you. I know where I will be drinking from now on . I havnt eaten so will try and comment. Oh and I love the red merlot wine. Top quality .

The booze is at a good price, the live music is always amazing and varied and the food is always good especially the soups, home made with love. I cant keep away form this place. The outdoor seating gets a one because there is none who cares? The scenic view is not actually real in a sense its more the good looking ladies on the bar :)

I have been to Clarks on severel occasions and have never had a bad night. The live music is always brilliant and is carefully selected by the owner. Friday and Saturday nights are always busy with a great atmosphere. Also the staff have amazing service and take excellent care to ensure that your time is well spent and that you are looked after.

Visited recently with a group of friends and we had a meal. Unfortunately the chef was rather heavy handed with their seasonings. The Cajun chicken was overpowering and had to be scraped to get most of it off to make it edible and the chilli was too salty - overuse of a "beef" flavouring perhaps. Quite disappointing and I would think twice before eating there again. Staff friendly, good atmosphere. Just go for drinks and music and you'll be fine.
