Mixed feelings about this place Had drinks and meal on a Saturday afternoon. Food was fine but £8 for jalapeno poppers that were fairly small - not good value. Burger was that pressed breaded burger your mum got from Iceland 20 years ago. Filled a hole and tasted okay but when other places are doing Angus or mince smashed burgers this disappointed. Staff were very uncoordinated, even with 5 you had to go to the bar to pay or get service, other staff seemed to wander - this is where a manager is needed. However it's a lovely pub, the atmosphere and decor are great. The food is okay but not great, the drinks selection is fine (except they ran out of some draft beers). I liked it and would try it again. The portions are okay for burgers but sides felt pricey.

Impressive coffee shop with an excellent food menu too. It's not very often I get food envy but I had it here seeing what others had ordered! Although it's quite big inside it was busy and I'd recommend booking in advance if you have a larger group. Parking at the public car park around the corner is cheap and convenient. This is a good meeting spot in Hamilton and I'd go back.

The soup was good but the main course was incredibly tasteless and inedible. I am open to different tastes, I went there to have a nice experience but as I said I left without eating.. This place is fabulous. Stopped for lunch there after taking new car for a spin. The interior is eclectic, cosy and welcoming. Log burner adds great atmosphere. Then there are the hosts who were wonderful jolly and so helpful. Really nice people. And then there is the food. I had steak pie and Missus had lasagne. Marvellous home cooked food and good portions. Had a pot of tea that was served in lovely crockery. And then there are the prices. Great value. Would be very hard to beat this place. If you passing then you must stop for food and if you are not passing then take a detour and stop here anyway. I am going to visit this place as regularly as i can

My friend and I went here today for our Christmas treat having heard how good it was but unfortunately we were really disappointed. If you are disabled forget it there is no disabled parking and the walk up to the restaurant is steep (I walk badly and use two sticks). If you’re in a wheelchair you will need someone to pull you in backwards to get up the step. The dining room was freezing so wear plenty of warm clothing we kept our coats on as did most of the other diners. Our table was right next to the door into the toilets but luckily for my friend the door wasn’t in use. She had the only plastic chair in the restaurant everyone else’s were wooden. We ordered the Turkey dinner it was ok but despite the plates being hot (we warmed our hands on them) the food soon went cold. The roast potatoes weren’t crispy (I suspect they were frozen) the stuffing ball was easily missed and the gravy was not rich as advertised it was thin and tasteless. We were so disappointed. The staff were very nice but obviously embarrassed that it was so cold in there. Maybe you could invest in some calor gas fires to take the chill off. The best part of our visit was getting back into the car and putting the heating on full blast to thaw out!!
