Ada Turkish Restauarant in Moray

Firstly let me say it’s a lovely restaurant, the staff are friendly and welcoming , there’s a good variety on the menus and the food was prepared / served in good time. Food was great. One issue , the drinks are absolutely extortionate! We have a pint of normal coke , a pint of Diet Coke and and pint of blackcurrant and soda , they charged us £6 for each ! When I checked with the staff they advised this was correct. To say I was gobsmacked at £18 for 3 soft drinks is an understatement. For this reason we won’t be going back .

My family always asks to come here when they visit. Always excellent food and the best service. Love the Adana Kofte and could swim in that chilli sauce. Also recommend the mucver and sucuk starters.

Absolutely delicious meal again , I have been here a few times now . Each time I have been to Ada the food and service have been excellent. Looking forward to my next visit very soon.

Great food. Everything we had was excellent. Starting with a delicious mix of appetizers for two, then to the main entrees. It was a very busy night, yet the staff was friendly and attentive. Tried my first Turkish beer and liked it.

Ok restaurant, for great Turkish food better visit any of the 3 restaurants in Aberdeen. The bread was good but it wasn’t the traditional pitta. The hummus came with a single slice of bread, not possible to eat it all with so little bread. The waiting staff was friendly but very busy, so we had to keep asking for service

In Elgin for some Saturday shopping and walked along South Street to see if Ada was open. It’s a favourite restaurant of ours but has been closed on the last couple of lunchtimes we have looked to visit. It was open (Saturday 26th) and had 4 or 5 tables of diners already. The waitress, although young, was bright, cheery and talkative and the food as ever was perfect and at such a reasonable price. Never disappointed in Ada - it really is such a gem to have in Elgin as part of our wide choice of dining options in the area.

We had never been to a Turkish restaurant before but what a wonderful experience the food was delicious. The girls serving were amazing. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We booked a meal here while having a 2 night stay in Elgin. What a gem of a restaurant - delicious food, pleasant surroundings and first class service. It took us a while to appreciate that the waiter, Cevdet, was on his own serving a nearly full restaurant. In common with many hospitality venues they were short staffed. Cevdet managed to deal with everyone politely and competently remaining calm throughout and had a routine that left no table waiting long for service. What a star - I hope his employers recognise this. We hope to return to this delightful Scottish town soon and will definitely return to Ada.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Ada is hands down the best restaurant in Elgin. It’s not that the rest are bad restaurants you understand, but simply that Ada is brilliant in every way. Outstanding, authentic food. Charming front of house. What more do you want? Babaganoush for the win!

Brilliant meal and absolutely five star service from Chloe! This is a big claim, but I think the hummus might genuinely be the best I’ve ever tasted..!? Anyway would highly, highly recommend!

We selected this place for lunch because we were arriving at 14.00 and many places seemed to be closing then, but Ada is open until 15.00. The restaurant and toilets were both very clean and well stocked. The menu has a good selection of dishes. I had the mucver (courgette fritters) and saksuka (vegetable dish with tomatoes, served cold). Both were delicious and filling. All the sides (sauce, salad) were tasty too. My friends ordered wraps, which they enjoyed. Chloe, the waitress was very friendly and recommended the mucver as one of her favourites. Her service was excellent and she took time to chat to us when she wasn’t too busy. We also had coffee, hot chocolate and very nice baklava to finish. We were delighted to find such a nice spot for lunch- would recommend!

I have visited the restaurant 3 times previously and have absolutely no complaints, in fact I have positively raved to friends and family about how nice/good the food and service is. Tonight I had booked a table and was seated on time. 20 minutes after being seated nobody had returned to the table to take the drinks order let alone food. 2 tables that had arrived after me already had their drinks and one of those was placing their food order. I am generally a patient person but tonight I felt so disappointed I made a member of staff aware of the situation and left. On a positive note I will be back in the future as the food is great but tonight my patience ran out.

A COVID risk. No track and trace even attempted. 5 staff1 female wore mask apart from when cleaning table1 male never wore mask over nose and lowered it to talk and didn’t respect distancing rules1 young male started shift without PPE1 kitchen lady wore no PPE and brought food to tables1 other man wore no PPE and stood behind the bar. We attended as a group of 17 for a staff christmas evening. We asked for the Christmas menu and were supplied with one but also told we could also order from the normal menu if this didnt suit. Therefore some of us ordered from the set 3 course menu thinking this would be honoured at the set price and the others would pay the difference for there choices. However on paying we were then informed we were unable to do this and were charged individual meal prices rather than the set menu. The service was also slow taking 2.5hrs to serve the 3 courses which were all pre ordered.

Will definitely be coming again, didn’t know what to expect but the food and the staff where brilliant. Already planning my next visit.

Visited here for lunch last week and it was absolutely delicious, good value, great service and a great all round atmosphere. It was our first visit here and we will definately be going back.

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal here. It was a Tuesday evening and even then the restaurant was busy, which we thought was a good sign. We’ve eaten at Turkish restaurants before and this one had the tastiest food. We chose a mixed platter starter for two, and then I had slow cooked lamb in a very flavoursome sauce and my wife had a chicken dish cooked in the oven.

Nothing wrong with the food and staff are friendly but this is not Elgin’s finest. They were No1 when it was a French restaurant and it was only OK then, for some reason they seem to get Elgin’s best restaurant when they’ve only been open as a Turkish for a week. The hotels, Royal, Mansfield and Sunninghill are all way better but down the list, I no longer trust Tripadvisor.

This restaurant has very good food and an excellent service. The meat in particular was amazing. When we asked about it, the waiter told it they buy it from local butcher and cut all the meat themselves. Would highly recommend this place!

We had dinner here tonight. We've visited Elgin many times and always struggled to find somewhere decent to have an evening meal. Not any more. The entire experience was great. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious..no other word for it. Great choice and well priced. If returning to Elgin we'll be heading here to eat.

Lovely feel to the place as soon as you walk in. Staff very pleasant and polite. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced and there is plenty to choose from. Would recommend that you pre-book a table especially at the weekend as can be busy.Will definietly be going back again.
