Food always beautiful and arrives freshly cooked.

Food very tasty. Portions very small. Atmosphere not great. Met family visiting from London and all six of us were about to have one last drink at 9:15 and were told no as they close at 9:30! We should have looked at the opening times and gone elsewhere.

Good food they just forgot to put in the pakora sauce ! I rang them but it would be 30 minutes for it to arrive so we did without

Perhaps the best Indian restaurant I have experienced. As for the Tapas menu. Smaller dishes to share. Geralkymild curries but full of flavour. Great welcome and service ice too.

Another fabulous take away meal from this Indian restaurant! Fish pakora was lovely. And South Indian Ginger Lamb amazing and meat melted in the mouth! Definitely worth a visit for sit in it takeaway

Visited today 25th Aug after reading all the good reviews. We weren't disappointed. We had the tapas. Food was outstanding. I would recommend the Haggis Bajis... Will definitely return should we ever be in the area again

First time visiting yesterday, it's a small restaurant across from TK Maxx so is very easy to miss but is definitely worth a visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was brought out quickly and was delicious. Had poppadoms with chutney and onion while we waited. We then shared 2 starters, 2 mains, rice and 2 nan breads among 3 of us and we all had plenty to eat. One small criticism was the background music was slightly too loud for us, so chatting wasn't as relaxing as it could have been, but we were sitting quite near the speaker. Will definitely be back.

Really enjoyable Indian tapas - nice way to try things you possibly wouldn’t usually. Reasonably priced. Garlic naan was amazing!

Was hopeful in ordering but when it arrived I was sorely disappointed. The pakora was soggy, the lamb tikka was pitiful, nearly £7 for 2 tiny grey looking pieces of lamb. The roti was charred. Overall, very disappointing.

when the food arrived it was hot and very tasty but ordered at 7.18 and arrived at 9.15

Food was ok, small portions though for what we paid, and delivery took over 1.5 hours which was poor.

We were staying at the Travelodge in Ayr and the young lady at reception, Nicola, suggested the 3 Idiots for our evening meal. From entering the premises, we were not disappointed. Our waiter, Madm was very helpful with the menu, so polite and friendly and excellent at his job. The food was fantastic, cooked by the chef, Dakku, who we asked to see to personally say thank you. It was one of the best Indian meals we have eaten. The whole night was fantastic. Don't go past here. You won't be disappointed. 🌟

I am not a chef ! But I could make any dish here taste ten times better!!! We ordered four things from the menu each,eight in total and everything was bordering on disgusting. Every plate was left almost full. Even the nan bread was vile and reminded us of chewing on the back of your pencil in primary school class. Almost £90 wasted and left starving, ordered Chinese takeaway when we got home. Seriously wouldn’t eat free here !!! No idea where the good reviews came from.

Ordered a set meal for four for takeaway while visiting the area and it was amazing. Every dish was really tasty and the naan breads were perfect. Would highly recommend this restaurant, only wish I lived closer!!

After a day at the Scottish National we had a fantastic meal washed down with a lovely red wine. We had poppadoms and dips followed by starters and mains. All the dishes were fresh and tasty and all 4 of us would not hesitate to eat here again. The staff were friendly and efficient and the whole experience contributed to a brilliant day at the races.

Hands down one of the best curry restaurants in the uk, and I’ve eaten at a few. Always good food, great service and I highly recommend over anywhere else in Ayr, to eat in or take out.

Another superb meal in this fab Indian restaurant. We enjoyed a selection of dishes from the Tapas menu, washed down with an excellent bottle of wine. Staff were friendly and helpful, service was excellent. Meal was extremely good value for money too. Highly recommended!

Amazing food I highly recommend this restaurant, you won’t ever be disappointed

We ordered delivery while staying at a local caravan park. Food was by far the best Indian we have ever had. We ordered the set meal for 1/2 people and it was more than enough for 2 of us! Delivery was fast and we felt the price was very reasonable! Gutted they do not have one in Edinburgh!

First time trying their food tonight, have to say it was amazing. Best takeaway we've had in ages. Could tell the food was freshly prepared. Excellent flavours and fresh ingredients.

Just delicious. Great service and ambience. Food is amazing. Ask for the tapas menu it's so tasty. Loved the spiced haddock and punjabi chilli chicken just the right amount of heat and excellent flavour, the lamb chops were excellent too. Cosy booths and attentive service. Asked for a mild chicken chasni for my son who is tricky to please with Indian food and he ate every bit.

Lovely food, shame they didn’t get the order quite correct, sending one naan instead of the two I ordered, but Just Eat refunded promptly.

Food was due at 1805 and didn’t turn up until 1845 . I nearly cancelled and ordered from somewhere else

Firstly, both dishes were served in soup bowls, not authentic Indian bowls, both the chicken dishes were very watery, looked more like soup with a few pieces of chicken added. The vegetable dish was quite nice with a nice flavour, and of course you can’t go wrong with rice

Vegetable pakora was great but the lamb tikka was just ok. The lamb was a bit tough and didn't have a lot of flavour. Will order again as the food from here is usually excellent.

I have never had such a bad experience in my life with a restaurant! Walked into the place. It was clear they were extremely upset that we dare walk in and want their food! Very happy to take our hard earned money elsewhere! Would recommend stay away from this place! They are bothered and upset you darken their doorway!

I don’t know exactly how late the delivery was, (maybe 30mins) driver had problems with his car, not the restaurants fault, the food was amazing and well worth the wait!

Very late, driver apparently forgot our order so had to wait another 1/2 hour after waiting for 1 hour

JustEat will not let me select 60 mins above, but in fact it was more than 60 mins late. Food was good when it arrived but it took 2.5 hours to deliver. Delivery driver could not have cared less either.

The delivery took three hours. We phoned after two hours and were told it was just leaving the kitchen. The Air Show traffic had held up there delivery driver. However the person delivering it gave us an apology. The food was really good, everything was fresh and hot and appreciated. This was the first take away we had had from here, we will try it again as the food was of a good standard tasty with lovely soft nan breads and delicious starter. Thank you

Delivery estimate 55 - 70 mins arrived in 90 mins . Food was luke warm but after reheating was delicious

A bit more expensive than other establishments but it’s well worth the extra first class piping hot food and tastes wonderful does not disappoint if you are reading this review give them a try

Quite possibly the best Indian I've ever eaten. I love Indian food and almost always stick with the favourite in Prestwick but I definitely won't go back. The flavours freshness and the portion sizes are amazing. By far the best Indian ever. Not overly concerned about it being late you can't rush perfection. If you haven't tried it and you love Indian food give it a go you won't be disappointed.

We have a local ladies lunch/dinner club in Ayr with over 160 members. We have eaten at many of the local restaurants and have never had an issue. 3idiots was suggested to us by one of our members. Tonight, we were a pretty small group with only 5 of our members in attendance. I’ll start with the service. The man who was acting as front of the house was absolutely miserable. Not a smile. Not a kind word. He took our drink order by simply stating “DRINKS?!” loudly. I can’t recall the last time we’ve had such unfriendly service. But… we always have a good laugh when we’re together, so we disregarded his lack of customer service. He had placed regular, more expensive menus on the table. One of our party asked if there was a tapas menu. (The front of their restaurant literally says they are an Indian Tapas restaurant.) He sighed and was obviously annoyed but provided us with tapas menus. Everyone in our small party ordered from the TAPAs menu. This is a tiny, tiny restaurant with tacky pictures on the wall and gold paint everywhere. There is no view. No ambience. It feels like you’re eating in a cheap takeaway. The restaurant was fairly empty and we were sat right under the AC. It was absolutely freezing. I know the weather outside is reaching record highs, but it felt like Lapland in there. Brrr. Even though everyone told him it was too cold, nothing was done about it. The cold air blowing down directly on us would later make our food cold quickly as well. The food was standard Indian food. Tasty, but nothing phenomenal. Having it in a tapas style was unique and everyone shared bits and bobs. We had to signal him for drink refills. After we finished our meal, he quickly removed all of the plates. We had to ask for the check 20 minutes later. We tell everyone in our lunch/dinner group that they are welcome to dine with us no matter their budget. There is no judgment if you can only afford to order a side of chips. It’s about coming out and enjoying yourself. Having a laugh. Connecting with other women in your community. Women from all age ranges and financial situations have joined our group. We’ve been meeting for nearly a year and as previously mentioned, have dined at many local establishments. We have never had an issue with a restaurant allowing members to only pay for what THEY ordered UNTIL TONIGHT. This man REFUSED to let each of us pay separately for what we ordered. I can understand if the restaurant was busy and bustling, but there were only 2 other tables and both had been served their food. He demanded that one person pay the entire bill. When we refused, he became angry and insisted they do NOT divide bills. There were no signs posted and he did not tell us when we ordered that one person would be required to pay the full bill. We continued to refuse and say there was not ONE person who was going to pay the bill. We told him we would pay for what we ordered. He refused. In the end, he divided it into 5 equal amounts and DEMANDED we had to each pay that amount. This was especially frustrating and intimidating for one member of our party who had specifically ordered less food because of her budget. Her food ended up totalling under £14 but she had to pay more than £22 because of the nasty man at this restaurant. She was embarrassed and I was mortified that he was being so aggressive with us. I understand if the man had made our group aware of this policy beforehand, but he did not. He would still be receiving the full amount if we divided it according to what we ate. With other, more polite options to choose from, our group won’t be back to 3idiots. I’ve shared our experience within our group. If you want good Indian food with STELLAR service, try Ayr India on the beach. Great atmosphere. Amazing food. A much larger menu. Excellent customer service and Stunning views. Give these 3idiots a pass.

I live in the Middle East and eat a lot of Indian cuisine and 3idiots is one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at! Their garlic Naan is the best Naan I’ve ever had!
