I had seekh kebab my wife poori for starters both beautiful tasting very fresh and delicious Mains Chicken Tikka my wife Lamb Bhoona with the best garlic naan I’ve ever had! Highly recommend food is tremendous

Awful experience.. It took them 1 hour to serve us.. they only care about take aways.. we left without eating..

Finally went a few weeks ago after reading the reviews. The food was delicious and very authentic. We had chicken pakora and seek kebab to start with accompanying condiments. Then south Indian garlic chicken and lamb saag Madras. All delicious and decent serving. The garlic naan bread was so tasty. The service was on point. Got the window seat early dinner service. Cash only and unfortunately they do not sell desserts as we fancied some gulab jamin. We will definitely return and would recommend.

We went here last night after reading the good reviews whilst on holiday. The food was okay at best, the naans and chips were the highlight of the meal for us. All 3 curries ordered were extremely spicy (including a balti?), we are a family that like heat and spice, but it was a bit too much. That said, 2/3 curries were extremely tasty and they were finished. The balti was essentially chickpeas which was slightly disappointing. Peshwari naan had honey on which worked quite well.The poppadoms tasted very fatty and greasy. All in all, if you want a very spicy curry then this place is for you, but make sure you have the garlic naan because it was amazing.

I visited them yesterday and had a great experience. We started with Onion Bhaji – it was fantastic! They sprinkled some masala on top which made it taste even better. We also tried the Stir Fry Chilli Chicken, which was good. For the main course, we had the Vegetable Biryani. It was really tasty and came with raita and curry sauce on the side. The ambience and customer service were both very good. Just a heads-up – they only accept cash, no card payments. Overall, a very nice experience!

The staff are very good and it was busy when we ate there (Friday night) but the flow of tables was good so no long queues. Food was nicely presented but I didn't find enough flavour in my main dish, it was just extremely spicy (too hot). My husband felt the same about his. The pakora batter was nice and light though.

Great value with express lunch special. Nice warm atmosphere. Friendly staff and lovely food. I am not easily pleased. This is a great venue.

We visited for the first time today. A party of 6. Great food, a great price and great service.

Best Naan bread ever light & crispy 10 out of 10

Ate here last night and walked in to get a table straight away—no wait, which was great. The atmosphere and vibe were really nice. My server at the start was a young lady who was very respectful and kind. She took the time to discuss some of the dishes with me, which I really appreciated. I went for popadoms, butter chicken, rice, and a peshwari naan. I was tempted to go spicy but opted for creamy instead. • Popadoms – Nice and crisp. • Rice – Perfectly cooked. • Butter Chicken – Decent, but lacked meat. I would have liked more garlic and ginger flavor. • Peshwari Naan – Good, but far too sweet—almost like a dessert! The grated coconut on top was a nice touch, but the sweetness overpowered everything. I’m giving 4 stars mainly due to the service after my initial server left. There was no courtesy check, despite the fact that I left some food on my plate. A simple “Was everything okay?” would have made a difference. I don’t expect anything in return for my feedback, but it’s always nice when restaurants take it on board to improve the experience for future guests. Price-wise, really good value for money. I didn’t love the extra charge for onions that come with the popadoms, but it was still cheap enough overall.

My wife and I tried this place tonight for a wee change and what a change it was Food was lovely Service was brilliant Place was spotless And the Gents toilets were immaculate And £30 odd for 2 courses each and 3 large drinks definitely well impressed and will be returning

Great value for money at lunch time and early dinner, both are great , South Indian and butter are my favourite ones..

Great Indian restaurant, amazing customer service and the food was the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world, great prices and great atmosphere to be around and for 3 people it was great pricing and food portions were more than enough and I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back in the future

Moved to Alloway, 3 years ago and I have been looking for a good Indian restaurant. This is the first time and won't be the last Excellent food and very hospitable staff, will definitely be coming back .

Quality fayre indeed. A delightful Methi Gosht and Rara Gosht. Full marks for the authentic Naan.

We enjoy visiting the restaurant or getting a takeaway once a week. Please support this local business, you won’t be disappointed!! 5 stars doesn’t seem enough you guys deserve 10 stars.

Best Indian restaurant I've been to so far! The most important thing: the food. Phenomenal and authentically Indian. Prepared and seasoned with love, great seasoning and diverse. I would come here again at any time and can recommend it to everyone. The mango lassi was freshly prepared and all special requests were met in a friendly manner. The staff is very attentive, friendly and accommodating and the furnishings are stylish but also comfortable.

Food and service were great, not that busy, not sure why on a Friday night just after pay day, when the food is this good, would definitely recommend and go back again .

I’ve used this restaurant several times and had a great experience each time food is fabulous, best in town. The customer service is excellent and my Scottish/American family loved it. Ordered chicken tikka meal for takeaway, the chicken was lovely but the oily watery tasteless sauce ruined it,it wasn't made from a base sauce and certainly no tomatoes in it,I have never saw anything lile it in my life and it ruined my meal

Nice little place food was amazing

Fantastic little restaurant, well spaced seating so you'll never feel squeezed in, attentive and polite staff, original modern artwork on the walls painted by an Indian artist specifically for the restaurant. Most importantly is the quality of the food is excellent, prepared in the kitchen behind a large window to the seating area, you'll see the chefs at work. We'll worth a five star rating.

Had lovely lunch on Thursday. Everything so fresh. Staff are lovely. Decor beautiful. Price excellent.

Being stopped in traffic on the Sandgate recently I saw they had an "express" lunch for £9.95 pp, so we decided to try it. Boy am I glad we did. Lovely clean, tidy and well fitted out restaurant, quality cutlery and crockery, a great choice of food (2 courses) and the service was first case. Our waiter Fav could not have been more helpful. We've already told other friends to try it. With the added benefit of two hours free parking now in Ayr there's no reason not to try it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

On holiday at Craig Tara and chose this place for a takeaway. The food was lovely and piping hot. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful food! My husband and I enjoyed an anniversary meal here, and they didn't disappoint. Very clean and great restaurant has a glass window where you can see your food being made fresh. Highly recommend. There is also parking close by.

After a nightmare journey from Glasgow to Ayr caused by road closures and torrential rain, we were looking for somewhere to dine before our gig at Harleys bar. A short walk to sandgate brought us to Priya Authentic indian restaurant. This was our first visit here and a very pleasant experience it was.Everything is right. The food is excellent,service was quick and the staff were terrific really helpful and friendly. My lamb patia was delicious. We hope to return in Oct when we have another gig.

Take my word on this - Priya Authentic Indian Kitchen is somewhere you need to go. I have a Lahori Mother and I'm an only son - I know what good Indian and Pakistani food is. I had a feeling it was going to be special when I looked into the open-view kitchen to see an immaculate, well-oiled machine - everyone taking pride in what they were doing. Then the homemade lassis arrived - perfection. The service headed up by Nav made us feel part of the family. The food combined passion with rustic flair. I cant remember eating Asian food this good, served this well. Just dont tell my Mother

We experienced this restaurant for the first time tonight and it was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious, great sized portions and the staff couldn't have been any more accomodating. The only downside is it's not close enough to home but we will definitely be sure to visit when we are back in Ayr

Delicious food and great service, Nav and Faz always go the extra mile for us. I had the vegetable pakora and the paneer butter masala with extra chilli and a garlic nan and it was brilliant. The lime pickle and other dips were packed full of flavour. Can't recommend enough.

The fish pakora had spent too long in the fryer and were not pleasant. I don't think I'll be back. It was quite a basic mistake. Sorry.

Excellent food. We had a variety of dishes that were equally as good. Manager/owner very knowledgeable when asked about recommendations and what goes with what. Pashwari nan light and tasty and popadoms lovely and crisp with a selection of excellent dips. We’d definitely recommend and go back when visiting the area again. Restaurant centrally located and lovely inside, smart but relaxing and great staff.

Arriving late after a long drive we went looking for any restaurant open late. And stumbled on this absolute gem. Welcomed in despite the hour, to a tastefully decorated room. The food was definitely a cut above average, simple starters of onion bhaji and samosas served with relishes to raise the game. Delicious main course curries, rich but not over -heavy, and warm sweet Peshawari naan. I’d make a point of coming back here next time I’m in the area

Visiting family in ayr and we like to eat out now we have watched priya since it's inception when walking by now we decided to book a table to try it now I would say this is a bijou restaurant nice and cosy upon entering we where met and shown to our table even although we where early table looked amazing well presented first impression was a very clean and well presented restaurant good selection of drinks and order taken now I started with a mushroom bhaji and ordered an Indian curry with coconut rice and a peshawari naan food all arrived hot and well presented staff where attentive and very friendly even offering doggy bags if you couldn't finish great way to reduce food waste so a great meal very pleasant restaurant I would recommend you go try it for yourself they also deliver but remember to book a table it's going to be very popular

By far the best Indian we have had in a long time. A little more pricey than other takeaways but its defo not grumbled at as the food was amazing. Chicken madras and chicken garlic tikka was perfect, madras was full of flavour right heat and tbh I loved it. Galic nan was done to my own taste prefer mine slightly more browned. 10/10 Defo worth a try.

Absolutely amazing food! Had a lamb bhoona with rice aswell as 2 naan breads so share with my cousin. I work next door and have been smelling the food for weeks and couldnt resist popping in for a takeaway. 100% recommend for great authentic Indian food.

Was in there the other day lovely meal mixed platter starter was on point and the garlic nan and curries were banging will defo be bak !!

we have ordered from Priya previously and it has been delicious, however, this time it was appalling. It was cold. really cold. we ordered a portion of butter sauce separately that we would pay cash for on delivery. the layer of grease on the top of the sauce was awful. we tried to stir it in but there was too much of it. i love butter/ghee but this was awful. the onion bhaji was really rubbery. my husband had lamb which was lovely however, again, the layer of grease was terrible.

I challenge you to find better Indian food in Ayrshire. Top class again and again!

Took delivery last night of the most disgusting Tandoori Lamb chops I've ever seen in my life. God knows how long they'd been lying around but they were black and completely dried out. What little meat there was was totally inedible. I took one bite, foolishly, and was so nauseated I couldn't face anything else. Complained to JustEat and, unusually, they completely agreed and gave a full refund for the entire meal. I know this place is new in Wandgate

A smashing Indian restaurant. Lovely food and staff. A highlight was the peshwari naan and everything else was brilliant. Very reasonably priced despite the cost for the water. We stumbled across it when our ferry to Arran was cancelled. Not yet licensed if that matters to you. I'd highly recommend it and will be back!

Came across this restaurant while visiting Ayr from Hampshire , England Absolutely amazing place ! Food utterly amazing. Service out of this world. Atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Chef / owner very passionate and proud of his restaurant. He Even shared some recipes with us curry loving southerners !! Will def visit again when next in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Moved to the area a year ago. Been generally disappointed with various takeaway places until tonight…..wow wow wow. An absolutely beautiful meal. We have used a place called the koh-i-noor in Largs for as long as I can remember 20 years at least. It’s pretty much the best place there is. This place was on a par. Could not have enjoyed my meal more. Will be back very soon. Edited. Used for second time and it was simply awful. Late delivered food which was near stone cold. To give them their due they offered to Replace the food. I had already waited over an hour and we simply didn’t have time to get it replaced. No offer of refund. Unsure if we would use again.

Great delivery man! :) Food was lovely overall. Disappointed with the cheese naan where was the cheese? Also chicken portion size wasn’t the best for the money paid but will put it down to bring new… hope no more scrimping as it is tasty.

Travelled down for a day at the coast from Glasgow and stopped in here from some lunch. The lunch menu is fabulous value and the food absolutely delicious. Amazing nan bread too. Service lovely and spotlessly clean restaurant and toilets. We will definitely make the trip back down to visit again.

We eat from Priya a lot. They have just relocated to the Sandgate in Ayr. When my wife called to place an order and ask if the menu was the same, the guy was just really patronising and rude. When we went in to collect, he was sat with headphones on and made us feel like a real inconvenience. Really disappointed. Food was good as it always is.

The " Highly recommended " Kashmeri Rogan josh is indeed outstanding. 10/10.

Wow the food is absolutely amazing, fresh, tasty not greasy, tender chicken cooked to perfection, fluffy rice . The naan bread is the best I have tasted. I would recommend.

This is the worst Restaurant in AYR , a complete rip off . One dosa cost u £6 , Staffs are rude

The staff is extremely insulting, bought a dosa and poori, and served 1 ring size dosa and little bit of Chana for £5.95, what a rip off. Never recommended. I would have had the food happily even it was a rip of , but the insulting behavior from the staff is extremely not acceptable. Such a poor service. Especially the indian guy with specs on.
