The best restaurants in York Yorkshire and The Humber

Busy wee place, stayed right above this in an apartment, only down side is garlic 1st thing every morning right through the property!!

Second time visiting and bringing friends along but sadly 2 were ill at very short notice but the staff were so kind allowing us to order food to take away despite being towards end of service. Even gave us some soju to help those unwell recover!! We will be back every time we visit York.

Staff very helpful especially helping with my wheelchair access and seeing us to our seats in the comedy lounge

Nos encontramos con «Rice Style» en TripAdvisor , a un agradable paseo de 15 minutos de nuestro hotel en Blossom Street. Está en una de las muchas pequeñas calles de barrio dentro de la ciudad , llegando temprano por la noche que no habíamos reservado y tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa, así que reservar es recomendable El restaurante es tan bonito en un glamoroso estilo shabby chic , recibimos una amable bienvenida y un servicio relajado pero eficiente El menú es fabuloso, sirve platos bien preparados, de gran calidad. ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras comidas y volveríamos encantados, y para recomendar

Lovely gardens and imformative despite only one volunteer. Shame about the parking and that the house is almost never open.

We decided to go into Mannetti’s because of how cosy it looked from the outside. It did not disappoint! We had the hot chocolate and the cinnamon cappuccino which were both delicious. Ask for hazelnut in your hot chocolate (game changer). The banana bread was delicious and the scramble eggs are delightful highly recommend. Will come and agin next time I am in York.

I’m not quite sure what had happened but it seemed like there had been a meltdown at the place so possibly this is a one off? Waiter was very lovely and trying his best but something had clearly gone wrong. We waited 20 minutes for our food and drink order to be taken. Another 30 minutes waiting for the drink to arrive, it never did so we went to the bar to ask for them. Another 45 minutes after that the food still hadn’t arrived, no food had come out of the kitchen for any table in the past hour at this point. The table next to us had their food come out having arrived 45 minutes after us. We asked if our order was coming and they said they had lost the ticket. (Bear in mind when we ordered we were the only ones in the place) At this point we had a tour booked on the evening we needed to get too. So after 1 hour and a half spent sat down, we decided to leave, we asked if the pint and Pepsi could be on the house for the time we had wasted and never getting any food, however, this request was denied. Really disappointed by what had seemed a good place to visit based on reputation.

Very tasty authentic food with good portion sizes. Would highly recommend. Ok, it's not fine dining silver service, but that's not what we were looking for. The staff were on it with plenty to choose from. Looking forward to going again.

We ordered Sofrito. The meat was tender and rich in flavour. The price was reasonable. We will come back if we go to York again.

Quite small and unassuming from the outside, but a big welcome and big flavours inside. The freshest high quality ingredients and care taken with every dish. Thanks for brekkie this morning!

The best eggs Benedict I’ve ever tasted. Fried egg on toast also good. Highly recommend. Takes a little time but worth the wait.

Lovely Inn. Very welcoming, great food, warming fires. What is not to like!

Fui a dar un paseo por los Shambles y me encontré con esta pequeña pastelería, compré un pastel de cerdo y pudín negro y fue increíble, me entristece que no seamos locales porque me gustaría una de esas cosas todos los días si lo fuera. Muy recomendable

Went in for drinks, couldn’t believe how inattentive and rude the staff seemed. There were two other customers in the whole place but for some reason they seated us right next to the door and it was freezing. We moved to the next table and the waitress immediately came over to tell us the table was ‘specifically reserved’ in an icy tone. There was no reservation sign on the table and as I have said, hardly any customers. She offered to put the door heater on for us but we said we would prefer to sit further in and she allowed this. No one came to sit at the table she claimed was reserved throughout the time we were there. We had espresso martinis which were watery and foamy. Unbelievably, we were charged for the amazing service we had not received on our two drinks. If I had realised sooner I would have asked them to take this off. Incredibly disappointed.
