Good value breakfast including a drink for 8.90; would rather not use disposable tray and wooden cutlery to eat inside - could barely cut bacon etc. Would try again because of generous serving.

Looks like it's converted into another one of them generic cafes you see are plaguing York. Cheapest, shoddiest ingredients and yet another Yorkshire gem lost. I'm so tired of these places popping up that have absolutely no idea how to feed Yorkshire folk! What happened to that proper greasy English breakfast or BLT made just how your nan made em? Sausages are mush, mushrooms are boiled, beans are not heinz and they don't even have HP sauce!

The service is warm and the breakfast is delicious.

Another victim of being renovated into absolute rubbish. Another sandwich shop to lose it's ability to create a staple Yorkshire quality butty. I'm not complainting about the quality of the cooking or customer service, just the sheer lack of care in the quality of food being provided. It's the cheapest the supplier can offer and nothing but another one of those standard mafia owned cash grabs you see dotted all over York. Boiled mushrooms? 😣 tf

My partner and I have been to Bella’s before and had a great time sitting in and eating. I’m not sure if there’s been new management but we came again today and got some takeout — in my cheesy chips I found multiple grey/white hairs and a black curly hair that looked like a beard or pubic hair. I’m really unhappy & didn’t finish my food.

Fantastic little cafe & great service. Popped in while visiting York & was so happy I did. The full English breakfast was cooked exactly to my requirements, I’m really fussy about my bacon & the egg, but they were perfect. Such great value at £9:95 including the coffee. Hopefully I’ll get to visit again in the near future.

Had a tasty sandwich from here. It was made fresh and one of the best I'd had in a while. Staff were friendly and polite. I didn't wait long for my order. The place was also clean and tidy.

A great find in York. This was across the road from the lovely apartment we were staying in. It was a fantastic breakfast and reasonably priced.

This place isnt what it appears from the outside and the menu is very varied. Really fresh ingredients for the sandwiches and well filled. The coffee is medium strength, medium roast with a slight bitter after note.

Working in York for a week and walked a mile out of my way to eat here three times. Really exceptional quality breakfast and for seven quid including toast and coffee a true bargain. Friendly staff happy to swap items ( beans for eggs). Highly recommended.

We had an amazing breakfast here with two 8 year olds and two adults. We had a full English, waffles maple syrup & bacon and a sausage and bacon bap! Everything was delicious and the lady who served us was very kind and attentive. Whilst we were there a number of other people came in and she handled them all in her own quickly and efficiently. Will definitely come again!

Went here twice whilst staying in York. Had breakfast and it was as tasty both times. Hash browns are soooo good! Latte is really nice too. Would absolutely go again. The ladies running it are also really nice. Very busy little place with orders and take away too and I can see why! Thank you

Ordered a sausage sandwich to takeaway. When I took a bite it was awful the sausages were badly burnt. I would not order here again

Great English breakfast, I enjoyed very much this morning

Being local, we like to try different places for breakfast and having never tried Bellas, thought we'd give it a go. The breakfast was so tasty, well presented and didnt leave that greasy aftertaste - which I hate. The guy serving is a happy happy, interacting with everyone. Really enjoyed it. Give it a go - it's a little hidden gem!

Ball's kitchen is a wonderful place to have a breakfast or lunch they also have Friday and Saturday night for a very limited menu

Great breakfast baps and friendly service

We called into this lovely café for lunch and were so pleased we did. A very clean and friendly place. Matt the owner is lovely and very informative. The food was amazing. I had halloumi and mushroom wrap and my husband had houmous and halloumi burger. Both meals were 10 out of 10. Everything is freshly made and so tasty. We shall be returning for a full English breakfast in the morning. A real gem of a place.

My wife and i popped in here shortly after arriving in york for the weekend - what a great find this cafe is. My choice was a halloumi and hummus burger with salad and potato wedges, it was freshly cooked and ever so tasty. My wife had a halloumi and mushroom wrap and was equally delighted. We both said how full we were afterwards, the price with drinks was £13 for us both - fantastic value for money. Matt is a very friendly host, informative and approachable. Will be back for what looks like a fantastic breakfast selection.

This restaurant is cosy and staff is super friendly! Their food is authentic and all homemade! As a family, we shared pepperoni pizza, mixed grill, garlic mushrooms with bread, breakfast burger and ended with vanilla ice cream as dessert. The food were so tasty! We really enjoyed our dinner here! Best of all, it cost us less than £35!

I come in here for breakfast fairly regularly, friendly staff, nice cakes, good coffee. People who always make the effort and the quality of the food is top notch. Even when I move out the area I'll be coming back to get my hangover sarnie.

This is a fantastic little restaurant. Fab food and great service. Not a chain restaurant, just a really good owner restaurant. It's worth every hard earned penny you may choose to spend.

This was our third visit to Bella's kitchen, the pizzas have got to be the best in York. Home made with fresh dough and fresh toppings and if you like goats cheese you must try that one. the house white wine is very good and very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our next visit will be to try the breakfast, I can't wait!!!

We called in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Great coffee and very good food and service would certainly recommend.

My granddaughter was able to get a full English VEGAN breakfast here. My only complaint was that she didn't have soy or almond milk, and I'm lactose intolerant.

We visited this little gem of a place for pizza night for a Father's Day treat and were not disappointed at all. Through the week it serves breakfasts and lunches and for two evenings a week (Fir and Sat) makes the most amazing pizzas for very reasonable prices. Service with a smile, everyone was very friendly, even down to the pizza for our daughter being supplemented by a mini one as hers did not come out the oven whole. Great place - worth a visit.

Had the pleasure of visiting Bella’s Kitchen this morning for breakfast. Very friendly greeting from Matt and a couple of other customers. We had scrambled egg on toast and a tea and coffee for just over £10. Considering where we were staying wanted £10 each for a pre ordered breakfast, I felt what we had this morning was great value. If you’re in the area, definitely put a breakfast at Bella’s on your to do list!

This is my 2nd review for Bella's kitchen, but we had such a great time at their live music night I had to leave another review. The pizza's were great with superb live music and good service. Thanks for a great evening.

After a mad week, a chilled, relaxed and cozy visit to see Matt at Bella's kitchen and eat pizza and drink wine is just the ticket!

Popped in for breakfast and what a treat. Staff very welcoming and friendly. The singing waitress was great. Food very hot and on hot plates which I like. Dog friendly. Thoroughly recommended.

The young man who runs this place is brilliant, the food is brilliant I would recommend lunch at this little cafe for any occasion.

We were a large party of 11 and we didn't intimidate them at all, ha! Breakfast was plentiful and very good. My husband said it was the best sausage he's had in England! There are many choices and sizes of breakfast to choose from. The coffee and cappuccinos are very good. Everything seemed reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly.

Proper breakfast at a good price, very sweet friendly staff and good chat with the locals. Definitely great !

We went to Bella's kitchen because it is conveniently close by to Astley House and they served 4 vegetarian pizza's. The place looked cosy and friendly.

My wife and myself were staying around the corner and saw this on line. Popped in for breakfast. Excellent, full English with loads of toast and a pot of tea each. £6 each. So good went back next day. Great service. Clean. Highly recommended

Just popped in for a spot of Lunch with my Family, Friendly atmosphere & attentive staff. The food was served promptly, hot & plenty of it. The place is small but clean, a very pleasant experience.

Staff were lovely but was a bit disappointed by the food choices. We just wanted sandwiches but there wasn't really much to choose from. The atmosphere was a bit clinical for us. Great for workmen wanting a breakfast but not the kind of place you could go for a leisurely lunch.

We recently returned for another meal at Bella's kitchen. My wife had a pizza they are stone baked and really good. I had a salad and there was lots of goats cheese. Its only a small place, is great value with a friendly owner and staff, we shall be returning.

Bought as a groupon, very disappointing. First of all greeted with broken glass on the table which actually cut my hand. Ordered a lemonade and there was a dead fly in it. Hygiene is questionable. Had a starter of garlic bread but I think they forgot to put garlic in. The pizzas were actually lovely. I did think they might knock something off the bill in light of the glass and fly but sadly no. Definitely won't be back.

We visited tonight with friends. Loved the food n atmosphere . Cosy, informal, relaxed. One of the best Pizzas, authentic , very tasty. Definitely will visit again.

This place is a little gem, hidden away near Clifton Green. The antipasta meats and olives platter with olive oil and balsamic, and lovely warm crusty bread was a great starter and the freshly made pizzas are fantastic. Accompanied with a very nice bottle of Rose,the whole experience was brilliant - we will return !!

Always really great and friendly and service. We live just round the corner and will always go here if we want breakfast. All the breakfast foods are delicious and great prices - all fresh and cooked to order. They do the best hash browns I have eaten anywhere ever. Would definitely recommend this place! Haven't tried the pizzas yet but am planning to in the near future.

Staying nearby and just stumbled across this little restaurant. It's a cafe by day and changes to a pizza restaurant on Friday and Saturday evenings. We were made to feel very welcome and can highly recommend. They are licensed and the glass of red wine I had was lovely. We had salad with our Pizza which was fresh and delicious. They have recently started to make ice cream sundaes.We were too full to try one but no doubt the'll be of high quality. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

I visited Bella's Kitchen twice when I spend three days in York. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and after the Full English Breakfast I didn't have to eat lunch at all. The atmosphere was also nice. Highly recommendable for everybody!

After living and running a business opposite this little cafe for a while we were very happy to learn they had began doing pizzas et al on Friday and Saturday nights- just what Clifton Green needed! Pizzas great quality and lovely choices of wine and beers. Nice table clothes and lovely service, bring a big appetite, the pizzas are huge, smiles all round.

Have had a couple of nice breakfasts here, so decided to try out the new Pizzeria side last weekend. I have to say I was really impressed, the food in the daytime is very good, but I think this was even better. We started with a meat platter and garlic bread and olives which were great. I then had a meat pizza - the manzo I think, and my wife had the Parma Ham and Brie one which she loved. Unfortunately we had to go and meet friends and so we weren't able to sample the delicious looking desserts on offer. We'll be back! This is a great place to eat with excellent wines and the service was very good too. Very reasonably priced too!

Bella's Kitchen is a delightful little find of ours on the outskirts of the city centre. Its full-English breakfast in particular is the best I have had in York, if not the UK. All food is cooked fresh on request and the staff are seemingly always cheerful. I have never tried lunch but I have also been for pizza in the evening and we were very impressed.
