Friendly , helpful and nice chilled vibe. We popped it on the way home from York centre and was warmly welcomed . Didn't eat, so I didn't rate the food .

Lovely cafe! We highly enjoyed the food and the drinks we got were amazing, made just right. Definitely give it a visit if you need a wonderful place to stop and have a bite and drinks.

Was there yesterday for my neice's graduation day out. We ordered 4 Aperol Spritz (very expensive at £10.95) and had no Prosecco in them - Aperol + water. Later in York town centre we paid £8. The food was also disappointing - ordered a flatbread and we were given 3 toasted bread bun sandwiches. Over all to have paid in excess of £60, it was disappointing. Sorry guys!

Seriously yummy nibbles and an incredible wine selection. I popped in a few weeks ago to buy a bottle for the first time, I normally just nip in for a glass and a bite to eat. I was looking for some bubbly for a special occasion and the staff were so helpful and patient! I had no idea what I wanted yet came away with a cracker of a wine. Really grateful for such a great wine spot with such helpful people!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Even carried our tray of drinks outside for us. Also sells non alcoholic drinks and coffee. Has outdoor seating to the front on the pavement. Has piano nights.

Called in on a Saturday evening at 6pm just for drinks before going out to a previously booked meal in town. The service was excellent and everyone was really welcoming. The bar was really busy already and was buzzing. We weren't sure what to go for so got some advice from the staff and ended up trying a flight of four 50ml Enomatic wines. All of them were nice so after sampling, picked our favourite for a larger glass :) We only had a bowl of olives, which were delicious, but food that was passing to other tables all looked really good. If we came to York again we'd definitely come back and spend a whole evening. In fact, we were wishing we'd stayed because our pre-booked meal was a let down. This was definitely the highlight of our stay.

Small but great. Staff were amazing and knowledgeable. They bent over backwards to provide food when we arrived late. Just fix the front door! Had to keep getting up to close it every time someone left!

2 Many Wines provided amazing and quick service for me in coordinating even across the world! They were so kind and helpful to me with finding a Christmas gift voucher for my mother who lives locally while their website is being worked on. They made me feel they are very trustworthy and kind and I will definitely be visiting in person on my next visit to York.

Delicious wines. No complaints there. However, the food was appalling. The worst I have had in York in a long time. Possibly the worst I ever had. The "flatbread" was just an unseasoned artichoke with a sad bit of lettuce inside a Warburtons English muffin. Served with a side of unseasoned lettuce salad. We also had a bowl of stale crisps. Not cheap either. Extremely disappointed as we had only heard great things. Also, blaring chart music wasn't quite the atmosphere we were expecting...

It’s a close call for me between here and The Angel on the Green, for best bar in Bishy Road…..the staff are without exception, friendly and knowledgeable …I particularly like the Indie background music….I know it’s known for its great wine selection, but you can also get a superb G & T here, with blueberries and a slice of grapefruit….

Amazing wine choices with the friendliest and most helpful staff you could hope for! Jared gave us lots of tips and advice on visiting the area and did everything they could to make our visit as lovely as possible. Oh and the wine and atmosphere here is amazing! Definitely recommend ❤️

Located on a nice street off the York center. Very nice and cosy atmosphere, and very good selection of wines (especially the Bogle Chardonnay 2020). Definitely recommend it, and would fo again when I visit York again.

Been here many times, very disappointed with this visit. There was very little red wine on the menu, so I had to buy a bottle and pay £12 corkage. It's a wine bar and there should be more choice. Probably my last visit.

Shared a bottle of fizz at this delightful wine bar, sitting in the window watching happy race goers returning from York Racecourse. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely return

Great wine, service & atmosphere but I agree with the other comments of the cheese mix plate. Not enough, cheese or crackers & the grapes used were not fresh and were about to spoil. I’d definitely come back for wine but not the food.

Wine was lovely but the food was disappointing for the price. The bread was rock hard and the choice limited. They had run out of flatbread by 5pm even though they had lots of bookings. The chairs were plastic and uncomfortable.

Having walked the streets of York in vain trying to find somewhere to eat after nine we found this cosy wine bar near our guest house. What a lovely welcome! We were served some great soup and a superb cheeseboard groaning with goodies! We just had to return the following evening for a night cap. Delicious wine from their extensive collection. Thank you for staying open and patiently waiting for us to leave! Highly recommended.

Gorgeous wine bar on Bishopthorpe Road. Also enjoyed a charcuterie board (non gluten option available). It isn't guaranteed suitable for coeliacs, but the staff (Danny and Evie) went above and beyond to ensure minimal cross contamination.

Found by chance, just popped in for a coffee. It was served by a lovely staff member along with a complimentary bottle of water. A cosy yet sophisticated atmosphere and very reasonably priced too. I will return again to try the food options.

Went there yesterday and realised that tbey have increased the prices by approx. 50%. This is redicilous. Stay away from this place.. The owners must learn something and not treat their customers like idiots. Overall 0/10 due to value for money! Such a shame!

The wine was divine, the food (charcuterie board) delicious, however the lady serving has lost you guys a star. She is detached and cold, no smile and barely a word spoken. Such a disappointment to a very lovely wine bar - retrain or replace.

Very good coffee and hot chocolate. Croissant excellent. Service excellent. Could benefit from more comfy seating and a smarter toilet. Will go again for sure.

Great wine, attentive staff and an incredible atmosphere, this wine bar has something special lost to many others. I've been following 2 Many Wines for just over 2 years now and finally got the chance to go to the wine bar (later I even got to see the newest addition at Heworth!). My partner and I did a wine tasting of four wines and ordered a charcuterie & cheese platter to go with it. The wine tasting was not only personalised, with the waiter asking us for our preferences and selecting wines that accompanied them, but also insightful. I didn't see an empty seat all night and it's just a testament to the good work being done here. I will definitely be back!

We stumbled across this lovely place on our way into the city centre and how lucky we were to do so. Such a fabulous place with a great selection of wines and a fantastic atmosphere. We loved it that much we even came back for one more last drink to end our night! Special mention to Gabriel who was so attentive during our visit - he was great and was even kind enough to write down some other nice places in York to visit. We can’t wait to come again!

A nice wine bar, went with 4 friends on Saturday, wine was good but the food was well below standard. The Charcuterie & Cheese Mix cost £17.50 for a small amount of cheese, hardly any cured meats and the Ham was wafer thin and cheap served within a lettuce centre piece of mushrooms and radish which was weird! They have a wine wall but you couldn’t get to it to look as it had a big table in front of it full of guests. I’d go back for a glass of wine but it’s not a patch on Pairing or Yorvine for the food.

Have just sat here for 45 mins waiting for bread. How hard is a portion of bread? Seriously?

A great little wine bar. Last night I enjoyed a lovely glass of Pinot Noir and food with friends. However, I don’t understand why the Charcuterie & Cheese Mix cost £17.50 for a slither of cheese, hardly any cured meats, fluffed out with a cabbage bowl of mushrooms and radish. Disappointing.

The wine, the food, the ambience: all are first class. I particularly enjoyed the steak tartare. It was excellent.

An unexpected passing visit was rewarded by the nicest rum and coke I have ever had. The rum was a spiced Sheffield rum with an in-house smoked cola, just awesome. My wife had a lovely Moldovan white wine but wow that rum 😊

Lovely little place with a decent selection of wines. I opted for an Aperol Spritz and it was perfect. We decided to sit outside for a bit of people watching. Maybe on the pricey side, I wouldn't want a full session there.

One of the few genuinely good spots in York. These guys know their wine and the simple but good food menu compliments beautifully. You don’t have to love Bishy RD to like this place, but make the effort to go just a little out of town and visit a non-tourist local hotspot 👍

Lovely atmosphere. First time that l had actually eaten there, pretty basic but bread was gorgeous! Wine was, as expected, amazing. Choice superb and service ok.

Must visit wine bar in York. Exceptional wines at a great price, which combine with their delicious meats and cheese. The staff are very welcoming, personable and knowledgeable. In addition their coffees and fruit loaf during the day are exquisite!

Living off Skeldergate, I'm spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink, so normally head into town. It's noticeable that heading the other way to Bishy road that there's a different atmosphere - more locally, less touristy - and you can tell that lots of those in there have been there many times before. Something about the layout of the place means that staff and clientele intermingle giving an atmosphere that is both classy but also relaxed and informal. The owner / sommelier and other staff are clearly enthusiastic and passionate about wine; having said we wanted something like a Malbec, we were talked through a range of choices from the bar menu but also from the extensively stocked shelves. You can pick a bottle of wine from the shelves to take out or pay £10 corkage to drink in which is what we did x 3! We also had a mixed meat and cheese platter - the cheese in particular was divine. This could have been a bit more generous portion wise for £17 and the wines weren't cheap (probably better value to drink in compared to pub / restaurant prices than to take out) but for the quality and ambience and lovely, lovely staff I'll definitely be hoarding my pennies to head back in the near future.

Good choice of wines, lovely ambience and top service. Lots of wines on display but a bit inconvenient to wander and look at them - could be improved with a little book which could be updated regularly.

Fantastic range of wines and their menu is exciting and delicious. A truly great food and wine destination in York!

Excellent and personable attention by the team here. Very good, tailored wine suggestions. We chose two generous sharing platters which complemented the wine perfectly. For a newly opened establishment the atmosphere felt very professional and established. Safe to say, if you like wine this is a good place to go - but they also have a good selection of beer, spirits and even soft drinks.

Superb attentive service to reserve a lunchtime table & to purchase a surprise birthday gift for my husband. The cheese selection & wine pairing that we enjoyed for lunch were outstanding & the service was excellent too. I am not a pub person, nor wine bar really, but with 2manywines you experience an atmosphere like no other. To be greeted on arrival by the owners Benji and Cyriaque is truly heart warming - they really have a gift of making you feel welcome. Equally on leaving they gently escort you to the door of their home asking when you will come again. Naturally, their knowledge of wines is amazing. Thankfully they do food now too! Please support this business.

Just opened recently and it's exactly what Bishy Road needed: well refurbished wine shop with non-mainstream bottles, great staff, knowledgeable and pleasant, nice atmosphere for a drink, dog friendly.

I cannot recommend 2 Many Wines enough, I've just completed my first order with the team. Very knowledgable and friendly guys who gave carefully curated a selection of wines based upon my tastes and preferences. The wines vary in priced origination, really impressed! I can't wait for the wine tasting club once its launched!
