Attitude to dogs We attended a Christmas fair and drove for 40 mins to get there. I don't recall NO DOGS on.line. However, car park muddy on arriving at the door for Xmas market, was told in s curt manor NO DOGS ALLOWED. an explanation and an apology would have been courtis. We live in scarborough and recommend the hall to tourist who visit our business. Not any more Your staff need training in customer care.

This place has been going under different ownership in Pickering for around 50’ years. Our last experience some 6 months ago was poor. However the family has lifted their game and tonight’s meal was hot, very tasty and an overall great experience. The food hit the spot and was excellent at a good price. I was compelled to call them and tell them how good it was particularly as I told them last time (many months ago) how poor it was. Overall if you are in Pickering, you need to give Lees a try……

Gran estancia. Me encantó.

Called here for coffee and lunch. Waited 5 minutes and were shown to a table. Waitress said she'd bring over the menus. Stood around chatting to her colleagues, Menu never arrived. After 15 minutes we walked out. I don't expect the food to come immediately but I do expect a menu to be delivered within 15 minuts. Goodness knows how long we'd have had to wait for food if we had stayed. Don't even deserve the 1* I've had to give them.

Lovely food cooked fresh and hot. Very friendly staff in this lovely family run pub. My family go here regular and have tried most things on menu with no faults. Everything has been nice that we've had

It's like finding an oasis in a desert. This place is lovely. It's clean, quick and the food was great and reasonable. Located in the village part of Dalby Forest. Approx 3.5 mi into the woods from Thornton-le-dale. The trail is marked but recommend taking a map as well. For cars it's pretty obvious with a car park nearby. The village area is accessable for everyone. After the walk in from Thornton, this was a lovely half way stop. Very much enjoyed my wrap. Friend had sandwich, also very good. Service was spot on. Thank you

Lovely big pub… the car park is big and spacious… they have a big wooden oven for pizza… and the chefs and kitchen in front of you. They have table service and big variety of food. My service was polite. The steak was delicious…. The alcohol free cocktails were delicious….Only had part the toilets smelled badly.

15:00 on 22nd September Following a great afternoon watching several flights we decided to visit the cafe. We sat down and waited, the un smiling waitress finally decided to come across to the table, I asked for 4 hot chocolates she very curtly told me to fill in the menu request form and enter my contact details at the rear and was totally un helpful. I totally dont have an issue with completing the form the fact that there was a lack of greeting and zero warmth from this person, with a face meant for rear of house she is totally lucky to have such a cushy job.

We went on a Friday night and it was busy as expected. However, the bar staff were friendly, we were seated straight away. The food was great, just what we were hoping for. It arrived hot and was delivered with a friendly smile. Will be going there again

Avoid this place! As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a very arrogant staff member who told us to check our vehicle reg plate in and that there was 'an unmissable big sign outside telling us to do so' (which had been blown about a bit outside so we missed it) nonetheless it was petty of him to say that. He also rushed us in for Breakfast despite us thinking about having lunch there instead of being rushed in with very little time to go 'sit down, order your breakfast, fantastic', I have never hated someone so much from a minute interaction with them. The breakfast was terrible, the Bacon tasted weird as if they tried to chargrill it, The young lanky chef who's only job was to ask for tickets was boneidol and rude. I had to ask him if there were more eggs coming and he huffed into the back. Everything was dry and I dropped 2 sausages on the floor trying to cut them, as they would not cut under my knife lol. The coffee was also cold and no one was attending the coffee / tea stand. The coffee was awful, got that refunded, but shame I didn't bother with the whole meal. I could go into more details but these were just the main points. It was only 7 or 8 quid, so it must have been really shocking for me to bother to complain as for that you usually can't go wrong, but this place was just really bad
