The best restaurants in Pickering East Ryedale Yorkshire and The Humber

Nice to find a very dog friendly coffee shop. We had coffee and scones which came at a very reasonable price. The shop within had a beautiful selection of quirky gifts, just about to move to Pickering and can see this being a regular stop off.

We stayed for bed and breakfast here. The house is in a beautiful peaceful setting overlooking meadows. Hosts very friendly. Comfortable bedroom. The TV reception is scrambled and there is no phone signal - so I would recommend enabling WiFi calling on your phone and bring a book 😃

A lovely tea room serving some really nice sandwiches and cakes. This is the perfect place to visit after a walk. With or without your dogs.

My sisters booked this place to celebrate my big birthday. Perfect choice. Very attentive staff. Menu has plenty of choice, and tapenade and bread was lovely. Soufflé was perfect, and the vegetarian curry was very tasty. Sorry no photos as too busy tucking into my meal. Very cosy, relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely visit again Thankyou

The food was excellent but SOME of the staff were quite rude, I asked for no ice in my drink but was told it has it in and its on its way, we asked for 6 poppadoms but same waiter said that was to many for 3 people I will give you 3, we orded our meal we got an extra rice and a garlic nan short when mentioned to the waiter he replied I only serve I didn't take the order and walked away, it will be Spice for u for us next time

Booked last minute as staying nearby. The food was great homecooked with plenty of choice including specials board. The portions are great with home made chips, staff welcoming and nothing any bother. A fabulous dog friendly find x

Absolutely the best fish n chips I've had in a long time I'm honest with my opinions and when it's good it's good The staff are really nice too I will be back when I'm passing I was staying in Pickering at the Bramwood Guesthoue so it was only a short stroll through the cemetery and down into the village Or town Loved it

It's the worst Indian food I have tasted food was bland with no taste.Garlic bread had no Garlic on it ,peshawar nan was like a plain nan.even the 3 people I was with didn't like what they were eating I certainly wouldn't be going back.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on the accomodation as only visited for a Sunday Lunch on a snowy day in January. The food selection was a choice of traditional Sunday roasts with a vegetarian option. I chose the roast beef which was nicely cooked, tender and tasty - complimented beautifully by the selection of seasonal vegetables (the horseradish was a delight). Comfortable and light seating area with ample space around the tables. Excellent value for money especially when compared with my usual haunts in the south of England (& Yorkshire servings).

What a find! An excellent restaurant in charming Pickering! Atmoshpere was cosy and relaxed. The stuff were warm and friendly. As for the food, it was delicious!

We didn’t want a lot to eat so we went to the bakery. The food was fabulous and the portion sizes were big. I had the soup, there was a choice of rolls to have with it. My husband had a bacon stottie. We both enjoyed what we had very much. My husband had to finish mine off as the portion was so generous. A good choice of food on the menu, the cakes looked amazing. The bread is very fresh.

Tuvimos nuestra fiesta de Navidad aquí en el cómodo. La comida era deliciosa y el servicio era excelente. Tristán y su personal se aseguraron de que tuvimos una buena noche. Sin duda volvería a reservar.
