Really nice food at a reasonable price, nice and clean place with a good ambience.

Exceptional service from our server Tom, couldn’t help us enough we swapped seats due to my wife being pregnant which was no bother at all and kept checking in on us! He’s a wonderful asset to the team. Lovely room and a comfortable nights stay. Would definitely visit again.

Stop here with the family as a last minute thing, we all loved our food with good service and a nice place to eat with it’s own good sized car park would definitely recommend if your in the area

Had a lovely meal here Saturday for my nieces birthday. Service was great too and Chris the manager was really helpful and kept checking in with us to make sure everything was OK.

We have ordered food for collection and food was made very quick (10minutes). People there were nice but food really wasn’t. Everything was very greasy, covered in oil and the meat tasted off. We have ordered crispy shredded beef in sweet chili sauce but not sure what did we get as this was for sure not sweet chili sauce (very thin and dark - kinda like soy sauce) beef was very dry and hard - not crispy dry as it should be. This is nothing like what you get in any other shop. Beef chow main - meat was was very dry and with odd colour + loads of oil Singapore vermicelli was aswell very oily and there was more veg than meet/prawns Portions very small for the price we paid We did get a free prawn crackers- not freshly made so it was very gummy

Lovely room. Very comfortable bed with lovely bed linen. We stayed here as it was close tp family & were very pleasantly surprised. Staff were brilliant. Not our usual choice but would definitely return.

The Sun Inn was our lunch venue on a day when two parts of the family met up at the 'mid-point' between Glossop and Harrogate (sort of). Our plans to visit Howarth had been aborted at the last minute when the lunch venue rang to advise us they had had a catastrophe with their fridges and all food was off (quite literally I suppose). So my son (from the Glossop end) hastily researched when we could meet for lunch, and what we could do afterwards. The Sun Inn looked good in the photos and is a short distance from the Yorkshire Sculpture Park where we planned to go afterwards. Well what a pleasant surprise! The Sun is very welcoming, dog friendly, and there is a play area outside of which my granddaughters both took advantage. The food was exceptional, and all freshly home made. One of our number is a vegetarian and she said it was so good to have such a choice of vegetarian food. In fact so appetizing did the Mushroom Wellington sound, that I had that instead of a conventional meat based Sunday roast - it was delicious. For those with more conventional Sunday roast ideas, check out the positively mountainous Yorkshires. The portions are generous, reasonably priced, and the service is very attentive and friendly. The walk at YSP afterwards was necessary to get rid of a few calories.

Came with family on Saturday night and easy to turn up and get a table. Food was really good, lovely flavours and tender chicken. Service was really good and would come again.

Had a meal on Friday night and was excited to return with family but the menu seemed limited and food was very average for the money - felt like the spark had gone - maybe a one off has the chef changed ? Or were they involved in the wedding - will go back but disappointed this time

ordered a few times from here but tonight's was by far the best! as a veggie it is hard to find a take away to accommodate but stack shack will do any of their burgers with the veggie patty. Today we decided on the buffalo blue cheese for a change and my god it was deelishhhhh. highly recommend for good food and fab service

Recently been taken over and has gone downhill a bit. Still nice inside but a poor choice of lager's and because of that there are less customers. We left at 10pm ish on a Saturday night and there was hardly any one in (and not many more when we got there at 7.30.) Less customers = less atmosphere.

Threw my guts up ever since finding a slug in the pizza box. Avoid at all costs. No acceptance or apology. This place needs shutting down.
