StackShack in Kirklees

ordered a few times from here but tonight's was by far the best! as a veggie it is hard to find a take away to accommodate but stack shack will do any of their burgers with the veggie patty. Today we decided on the buffalo blue cheese for a change and my god it was deelishhhhh. highly recommend for good food and fab service

Food over and hour late. When finally delivered food was lukewarm. Was some decent flavours but spoiled by delivery. Disappointing

Nearly cold, congealed together and smothered in grease. Absolutely has to be the worst food I've ever had the misfortune of ordering and certainly won't again. Even the bread was shiny because of all the grease. Only took one bite before throwing in the bin and then had to go brush my teeth. Outrageous prices too for such terrible quality food. UPDATE You made it personal after promising a full refund and telling me to call just eat, then choosing to reject the refund afterwards. I've done it via the bank instead. I've even got the proof you offered a refund then chose to reject it which I'll send to just eat...

Food was nearly cold when delivered and all congealed. Restaurant promised a refund and was told to call just eat. Then the restaurant cost to reject the refund. I decided to leave reviews based on this and the owner replied defensively. Absolutely disgusting food and service. Tough for them, I've charged back through visa.

These are THE BEST burgers! So succulent and tasty that even the ‘plain’ burgers are delicious (though the toppings are amazing too!) Highly recommended!!

Always get our weekly takeout from here, the burgers are amazing! My only suggeation- always write "its ok" on my it's OK burger. Its not just about knowing what it is, it just makes me smile :)

First time we have ordered from these guys and I can say it won't be the last! Great website to order from with a massive choice even the option to build your own! choose a delivery time and it was bang on time an added bonus was the driver found the house the first time without having to call us! well done Mr Driver! food was plenty full, tasty and hot which is a worry when ordering a delivery takeaway food. if I had one reccomendation which I know is a high cost is a good burger box as the foil makes it sweat and the burger 🍔 and bun gets squashed but as I said its a reccomendation we loved our first order and will defo be back! don't let it slip guys keep up the great work!

Ordered off of Uber eats for the first time, the food was amazing! Pulled pork loaded fries were phenomenal, will definitely be ordering again.

I have ordered from here previously. The delivery drivers are always super polite, and I have never had a problem with the wait times. Food is usually amazing but tonight was a shame. The pulled pork on the fries had not even been shredded and was just thrown on. The chicken on the burger was chewy and the bacon was over cooked. It also felt like no bbq sauce had been put on at all. Real shame, but will be giving it another go in the future, and hoping this was just a one off!!

I had been treated to a Stack Shack takeout last week and was super impressed with the oink stack meal i ordered. It was well cooked, very tasty and then i find out they deliver! Happy days! Fast forward to today. I placed my order online before the place opened and selected the 8.05pm delivery slot. The order arrived late and when i unwrapped the burger, I was less than impressed. It had clearly been in transit far too long; the bun had become a sodden, slimy mess and the whole sorry thing was lukewarm, unappetising and for me just not edible. The accompanying fries were cold and also not very inviting. I'm guessing my first Stack Shack was so good because it was picked up and eaten freshly cooked. The downfall seems to be in the delivery process. Such a shame because the menu is exciting for any burger lover and when it's fresh, the oink burger is a complete winner. I'm just sorry to say I won't order again unless i can pick it up, freshly cooked. Wet through, soggy, slimy brioche and luke warm meat and wilted salad are sadly not my thing.

I have been wanting to try StackShack for a while now especially after reading all the positive reviews and via word of mouth, so when StackShack was down at this years Wortfest I decided to finally try a burger. I got myself a double bacon and cheese and WOW…. hands down the BEST burger I’ve ever eaten, will 100% be going back again. I would highly recommend this place to anybody!

Fantastic food and they deliver to Shepley unlike a lot of takeaways. Food always arrives hot and in good time. Can't recommend this place enough.

Burger OK but fries cold and onion rings barely warm - disappointing.

Me and my boyfriend decided to order from here, after it being veryyy local to me (as in that local it’s a 6 minute walk) our order took 2 hours to arrive, apparently rang him but I’d love to see the call log since he received no missed calls, just to be told they’ve had to go to Tesco for burger buns, so overall we spent £31 on 2 burgers which had soggied the cheap Tesco bun anyway so it was basically disintegrated and may as well have just sent it without, the chips were ok but seemed like they’d been under a hot lamp since they first opened for the night.

Fist time we ordered i got the wrong burger delivered. Second time my daughter ordered got a call over an hour after placing the order saying they had run out of buns. Always seeing posts that they have run out of stuff and therefore closing. Very poorly managed.

Nice little shop for burgers. It looks quite well manged and staff is really nice, honest and polite. A heaven for meat eaters.

Food eventually turned up at 11pm after having been ordered just after 8:30pm. The person we spoke to around 9:45pm lied and said it was on its way and it clearly wasn't, then the place closed and we couldn't get through to chase it up again. We would have cancelled it had we been able to speak to someone. The food then arrived lukewarm at best, dirty fries soggy. Really not great.

Look, I don’t pretend to be some kind of burger expert, I have no formal qualifications in the field, and I did not attend the University of Burgers… I do eat a lot of them, though. Is that necessarily good for me? Who knows. But, it does mean I have many burger-related opinions. Now, I find takeaway pizza is one of those things that you often find is pretty hard to completely screw up, so there’s perhaps less trepidation trying somewhere new if you’re after a meat feast or something. Easy enough to drown it in garlic mayo if it’s a bit meh. Burgers, however, is a different story. Not naming any names but so many places are more than happy to send you the blandest piece of cardboard beef stuck in a dry sesame seeded bun and call it “gourmet” because they stuck some onion and a bit of lettuce on it. The StackShack is not one of these places. Not only have they got a great range of burgers, but they’re absolutely massive and packed with flavour. I’ve had a few now they’ve yet to let me down. AND they put their fries in a paper bag instead of a polystyrene container so they’re not all sweaty and gross on arrival, which might not mean something to everyone, but sweaty fries just bring me down, y’know? Anyway, the point is, if you fancy a top quality burger that guarantees you’re going to be full and satisfied, give these folks a go, they won’t let you down.

Delivery on time,about as good as it got. Chicken wings undercooked, dirty fries was a box of slop. Burger bun must of been left out in the rain. Popcorn Chicken was OK. Both gasping for a drink now due to the amount of salt on chips. 2nd attempt at this place and its got worse..be giving it a miss in future. At Least it only cosy 26 quid.

Tasty food, good prices, and lovely staff! Portions were great sizes too. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Only note is the burger buns were a little soggy from being wrapped in the foil, but enjoyed it none the less

Fabulous burgers. So meaty, tender, juicy and flavoursome. Loaded fries are great too. They also fulfill our requests for no onions on the food, showing real care and attention to detail. Thank you StackShack.

I had a chicken burger. I collected at my allocated time but the brioche bun was very soggy and the fries were cold. So, maybe it'd been made a bit before so it was ready for me to collect? The food itself was quite tasty and I just microwaved the chips to warm them up.

Went with my daughter to order food this evening. Staff very friendly and even brought our order out to the car where we were waiting. The food was soo nice and we will definitely be ordering from here again

Their burgers and popcorn chicken are great and cheaper than any similar alternative. They also got the order wrong and did their best to solve it as quickly as possible, which is always nice to have.

Best takeaway burger place in HD8 & surrounding area. I had the chuck burger, it was to die for. I believe they use the Kirburton butchers for their meat and you can tell as it was so fresh. Delivery was on time and with a smile… 10/10 will be a regular going forward!

Food good but over 2 and a half hour wait for for delivery (we ordered at just after 6pm ) is unacceptable. Rang twice was told the 1st time it would be 15 minutes and hour later had to ring again.Staff rude and lied on phone about manager not being in so I could complain I've now spoken to my partner and she failed to tell me about your generous goodwill gesture (keeping it for herself I think 🤣). And thank you very much we will certainly be giving you call the food was great just delivery let it down thanks again

Finally HD8 has a great takeway! One of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and it's right on the door step. Food is always delicious and generous portion sizes. Great value for money, for the quality of food you receive. Ryan and the staff are always polite, friendly & professional! Keep up the great work Stack shack!

What was a disaster. Ordered at 11.48 for 18.00 delivery. Arrived stone cold at 18.15. Rang to complain and new delivery arrived at 18.50. Burgers hot but loaded fries cold and don't even know how to describe the pigs in blankets. Fries were so cold that cheese hadn't even started to melt. Burgers were a sloppy mess and beef burger had 3 x bits of bone/gristle whatever. Absolutely disgusted. What a waste of money. We are absolutely appalled.

Ordered from Stack Shack Burgers a few times and I can honestly say, some of the best smash burgers I’ve had. They’re a business who use locally sourced ingredients, support local businesses and is always open and honest. I can’t recommend them highly enough, just glad they’re local to us. Tip: give the oink burger a try!

Just ordered from the stack shack…… unfortunately, incredibly bad experience ( is it just me?🤔) ….. food was, to be fair , very good …. Had it been fresh! ….. waited 2 hours for 2 burgers to be delivered an eighth of a mile!! ….. could walk it in 10 minutes, after2 phone calls, to ‘Ryan’ …. We got the burgers delivered by ‘his mate’ !! ….. who completely agreed it was inexcusable and he wouldn’t have accepted it himself… however’Ryan’ far from being apologetic, was aggressive when confronted with the service, trying to justify the wait as ‘ not his fault’ … and objected to me giving him ‘ business advice’ … which I think in view of his attitude and service he sorely needs …. Instead of apologising and placating a local customer with maybe, a voucher or something to keep the business, seemed happy to argue with said customer that ‘he’s had orders coming in since 9am ‘!!!! …. So I suggested he needed to amend his business model, and stop taking orders he can’t fulfill, and end up spoiling what is a good product ! … which didn’t go down well …🤔….. I might just visit ‘Ryan‘ tomorrow in person, and explain how we do things in Birmingham?!!!!….🤔… Don’t worry about complaining,I won’t be ordering anything from there again… manners cost nothing!!! …… and my money is hard worked for, £30 for 2 burgers!! …. I’m entitled to complain! …. I run a small business myself, and if I traded like this I’d be out of business,I had high hopes, food was actually good, but you can’t wait 2 hours in any universe!! …..I’m rooting for small businesses here, but we are spoiled on Birmingham, as there is so much competition… they wouldn’t last 2 minutes in Hall Green! ….. Funny how their own website wouldn’t let me leave a bad review??….🤔

I love this place but the delivery time is 1.5 to 2hrs plus. Guys, you have to improve your delivery time otherwise people will give up. You've got a fantastic product that I'll wait until someone tell me you can deliver on time.

Order arrived late and chips where cold the burgers where not alot warmer but tasted great and the manager/ Ryan was very helpful on the phone I understand this place is new and will have teething issues I still gave four stars as I know if the food was warm it would of been fantastic it's not put me off and I will be returning hopefully next time will force a 5 🌟

Unfortunately the burger was bland I had an oink burger and the bun wasn't toasted as it states was soggy the bbq pulled pork was tastless and the patties were not fresh or seasoned but the dirty fries where quite nice tbh

Ive been waiting years For a decent takeaway in kirkburton!!! We have finally found one. Unbelievable burgers unbelievable wings a genuinely top drawer takeaway. Keep up the great work stack!!!!

Almost 2 and half hours after placing our order still no sign. Called after waiting hour and half was told they were busy and tried to disable orders being taken but advised us order would be with us within 20-30 mins. Tried to call several more times and the phone had been switched off. If you’re too busy to process an order, just simply call us, cancel the order and refund us our money. Don’t have us waiting 2 and half hours and then stop all communication. Poorly run

Definitely not your average takeaway. Locally prepared food made with locally sourced ingredients, what more can you ask for really. The food was so good, we will definitely be ordering again! Anyone ordering within their first week of opening, be patient with them, they are finding their feet. Definitely worth waiting for at their busier times!
