Bread was stale. Very dry and crumbled in my hands. Not what you expect from couplands. Considering they sell fresh bread I was very upset. Put me off my sandwich. I would have took it back but didn't eat it soon as I left the shop. I was at the other end of Weighton. Maybe if it wasn't raining I'd have gone back
Well I am really sad to write this review. I love the food , we always visit the restaurant but today we ordered a takeaway, but this was the biggest mistake we did !!!
After waiting longer than said we were phoned to say it was arriving !!! But where? It was a total shambles trying to phone the delivery person and after walking round looking for him, nowhere to be found we had to forget the delivery! And the restaurant manager didn’t seem to be bothered 😢 such a shame as I love the banter when we visit. Saturday night ruined 😠 and I’m sad because I will have to go elsewhere 😢
I you are in the area, this cafe is well worth a visit, superb food and excellent service, of course I will be visiting again - recommend the All Day Breakfast!
One of better experiences, well done!
Deliciosa y auténtica comida griega y acogedor ambiente.
Popped in for a latte and ended up have the Banana & Toffee Crepe…… absolutely delicious 😋 Very friendly, very clean amazing food… what more can you ask for??
Possibly the worst pub meal I've ever had. Scampi chips and peas. The peas were like bullets; it takes real effort to ruin frozen peas. The scampi was undercooked and like mush. The only positive was the chips, which were good. Another person at the table had the chippie feast which came with stale bread and when she asked for it to be replaced they brought more stale bread. The cook clearly doesn't care or have any pride in what they serve up.
This place is a little gem. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is lovely and the team can't do enough for you. I recommend the Bay Horse 100%. Thank you for the lovely food and the experience.
A nice place for a coffee while waiting for a train, as the station is just across road. Or if you just want a coffee and cake while in town. Helpful staff, good coffee. Will visit again.
A gorgeous country pub, with a truly homely vibe. Fantastic service from all the staff, and they were so welcoming to us and our dogs. The food was delicious - I highly recommend the Open Chicken Kiev!
If I had to find one criticism, it would be that the tables in the dog-friendly area were perhaps not very well planned out, as where I was sat would have been unmanageable if someone had been seated at the table behind me, and we pushed the table as far in so my husband could sit to it, but this subsequently trapped him in the booth-style seat, and I spent a lot of the time nervously eyeing up people with dogs in the hope they wouldn't be seated there. This is the only reason it's got a 4 and not a 5 star review.
Apart from that minor issue, we will 100% be back to try more tasty food. Thank you!
