The Sterling Castle in East Riding of Yorkshire

Probably one of the most popular pubs in town. Good service, great atmosphere. There is regular live music on offer, but can get very busy when bands are playing.

Nice food. We went there 2 days on the row. Get 4 for food as my lasagne was burnt but everyone else's food was great. The following day food good but service slow, they apologise as it had been slow so one chef went home and then they had loads of people walk in the sametime.

Had the cottage pie, was very tasty, veg ? Frozen, but apart from that good service and nice atmosphere, staff friendly

We had a Sunday dinner ! It was all home made , lovely + hot ! The young lady who served us was lovely + friendly , we will go back next time we stop in Bridlington 🙂

Had a meal twice in here fantastic meals and great service .fish and chips one evening really good fish and fresh 2nd night had the carbonara very tasty and good portion.will defo come again when next in bridlington

Only popped in for a drink so cant comment on food but a great pub which looks nothing from the outside but really surprising when you go in. Very modern and clean and will definitely visit again.

We booked for 8 persons on the same day, it was the first time we had been here and it was very good indeed, food, drink, even sport if you are into that thing, as many seem to be today,

Not at all as spacious as the images make it seem. Not a lot of care given to customer service. Around 13 of us in and had to share seats after ordering food, 2 burgers were so bad that most of them were left, chilli was stodgy and mediocre at best. Originally 21 of us going so glad it ended up less. Certainly won’t go back.

Stopped in for lunch whilst in Bridlington. Hubby had a baguette and I had the halloumi salad which was lovely. Good value for money, not very busy but was a Monday in mid September. Good views, particularly from upstairs or outside.

First time we have been in this place after visiting flamborough every year . We always have a trip into Bridlington and The Stirling Castle had a great atmosphere from the moment we went in . The food was great , the kids meals were great portions too . The best meal we have had in a while to be honest so compliments to the chef 👍. All the staff were great and friendly and your server this Saturday afternoon was brilliant, I didn't get her name but she was friendly, welcoming and proffesional not only to us but she was great with other paying customers. Don't let her go as believe me server's like her are very few and far between, my opinion anyway . Really enjoyed the Stirling Castle and will be back when we return on our trips to flamborough 👏👏👏😊👍.

Cracking pub, even though I didn't have food, the group of Germans I took in enjoyed it and the atmosphere which is totally different to their drinks culture . Well done to all the staff 👍

We have been a few times for a drink but today we decided to have food and it was 10/10 would highly recommend the atmosphere was great and all the staff were friendly and could not help you enough we will be back and would highly recommend to anyone

We have been going here for many years as the service is always excellent no matter how busy it is. The food is excellent pub grub and the Pizza's top notch. The Real Ale is always kept well and usually has a choice of 2 or 3. Despite recent rumours that the standards had dropped, we went last weekend and can confirm everything was spot-on as always with swift service, super burgers and a perfect pint.

Good food fabulous views down south bay Bridlington

Beautiful place, beautiful views with various entrances to it. Large selection of alcohol, live bands playing most nights. Get in there early to avoid not finding a seat as it can get absolutely ‘rammed’ Beers not the cheapest but it’s what you pay when you have a more upmarket bar. Never tasted the food, my auntie says it’s amazing though.

Having heard good things about Sterling Castle we were looking forward to having lunch there. The first meals came out with no cutlery, they said be back with more meals and the cutlery. The lad came back with 1 meal and no cutlery. 10 minutes later he came back and at this point the meals had gone cold (gravy came out clap cold to begin with). My partner took a bite of his fajitas and spat it out. It tasted like salt. They had basically smothered it in that much seasoning it wasn't edible. The other 3 meals came. The kids meals were fine, especially the pasta. My meal was red hot but was probably the blandest mac and cheese I've ever had. Waiters were rude and unattentive. Woman behind the bar was really lovely and very apologetic.

We went today for drinks and food both was amazing as always and the service again from Naomi as always was so friendly and professional.

Burnt steak pie. Very thick gravy. This was the 2nd meal the first order was wrong. Been coming here for 4 years and loved it. What has happened? Many others served meals well before us, despite ordering well after. Very disappointing

Really great selection of food & drink, the best selection of beer I've ever seen in one place & the menu on offer is extensive to say the least, awesome selection, I wish I'd seen this earlier in our stay. Good service & great views of the harbour from the terrace or the upper indoor level.

Nice looking bar, reasonably priced food which arrived quickly. The fish & chips was a decent size. Fair selection of drinks too.

Great place for a pint & the food is superb

Half decent pub with good views of the harbour and south bay, been here many times food is good. Prices are reasonable only ever been here during the day but did notice some stage/disco lighting perhaps the place comes alive at night.

Amazing food at great prices with great views overlooking Bridlington from upstairs window seats. They also have some great bands playing, will definitely be back again . Mark is an excellent barman very helpful a credit to the company

We only go to this pub when we can sit outside as dogs aren't allowed inside & we always take our dog to Bridlington. This time there was a 45 minute wait for food - proves it's good though! They didn't have my favourite pizza on the menu this time but least it got me to try something else. The service was friendly and the beer & wine is reasonably priced. Also sitting outside gives you a lovely view over the harbour and South beach beyond. Highly recommended.

Never in my life have i had such a terrible experience. Went in with my partner and 18month old toddler. Was going to get pizza and pasta they didnt have either so switched asked for a texan burger and a mac an cheese. Poor toddler was screaming waiting for what seemed ages so asked how long a wait they said was being made now. 20 minutes later (50 minutes since order) asked again politely if it hasnt been made can we have a refund and go. She said was being plated and another 10 minutes later the food came. Unfortunately they brought out chilli not a texan burger. Went to the bar and the manager (who served me) said she would refund me and argued i never asked for a burger it wasnt her fault i confirmed i said burger she was just being extremely rude and basically calling me a liar. I said well we did wait an hour then she said she told us an hours wait, which again was 100% not true but she argued and called me a liar again. I said id like to complain she laughed and said shes the manager only the owners above her and good luck speaking to them. Left, extremely hungry, really upset and dissapointed. Never in my life have i been treated so badly.

Easy to order at the bar. Give the table number then receive food. We had the taco burger and chips with slaw. Extremely tasty. Loved it. Will be back.

Visited twice over a weekend staying in Bridlington. Very child friendly, reasonably priced and the food was good.

Typical pub fare, although at a better standard than most.

Seems to have had a refurb. New chairs and a nicer menu. Steak Pie amazing and Fish & Chips lovely but ordered a large and it was not really large it was more a medium but it tasted nice.

A good place to watch sports on their very large TVs. Two pool tables, an additional upstairs setting area for when it gets busy and a great view of the harbour and south beach from the outside tables.

Great place to stop and have a few drinks with friends. Great atmosphere and staff.

First time we've been today. Five stars all the way.lovely friendly staff good beers and an excellent menu. Our food came out home and without too much of a wait. It was excellent.100% would recommend. A pub run how it should be.

Fantastic Sunday lunch. I'm pescartarian, so the veggie option of nut roast was absolutely delicious. Generous portions & reasonable price. We also go to live band nights here & it's absolutely brilliant. Reasonable bar prices too. Staff work hard & are very friendly.

We popped in by chance whilst staying in the area. I had the steak pie and my wife had the hunters chicken dish. We didn’t know what to expect, but both dishes were absolutely brilliant. The pie was full of meat. Great view of the harbour upstairs as well. Defo recommend 😁👍🏻

Strongbow dark fruits on draft, nice food on the 2 for £14.99menu which is good value for money and plenty of it, cooked and served well. Service is fairly quick, obviously depending on how busy it is.

Good pub. Great selection of ales plus guest ales and they was accommodating with the kids meal. Really liked it.

Great pub with fantastics bands at the weekend. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Pre booked a table as my sister is on crutches and we were given a perfect one near the band but good access to the toilets. Food was delicious. Between us we had chicken stack burger, nachos with chilli and quesadillas. All lovely and good portions. Drinks were really good. My sister was in cocktail jugs. Very busy but highly reccomend. We will be back!

I am I am absolutely delighted with this pub, both in terms of the quality of the food and the décor and the views from the windows. I especially liked the selection of appetizers three for the price of two and very tasty fish, cheese and burgers

The most delicious steak came as medium rare in 20 minutes, well served and surrounded by tasty sauce ,crisps and mushrooms. Couldn't find better dinner for my family than that steak. The 2nd floor tables faces the harbour with balcony full of flowers . Amazi g romantic place which serve excellent food through a wonderful helfull staff. I could easily give 10 stars to this place and the prices are really reasonable. I can't recommend better than this place to my friends visiting bridlington.
