Fantastic pub, just next to our Lodge in Hamlet Rise. Great atmosphere, great staff friendly people.

Visited as a group of 11 for Mother’s Day! Unfortunately we didn’t have a good time. There was a set menu but nothing for children, a few people wanted prawn starters but they only had 1 available which had stale bread. A few people ordered ‘fresh fish and chunky chips’, it came with fries and was definitely not fresh, it oozed water out when cut into and was square shaped at the ends as though it was a frozen piece. Majority of us ordered roast dinners, and asked for a smaller version for the babies of the group, the cauliflower cheese and broccoli was rock hard but the rest was good! One of the babies of the group had a milk and soya allergy so we went through what he could and couldn’t eat, they brought him a roast dinner with a Yorkshire pudding on after them telling us he couldn’t have Yorkshire pudding… it was sent back and brought back out supposedly fresh, but a couple of hours after eating, the baby is really poorly with a reaction. All of this was topped off when we saw one of the kitchen staff vaping in the kitchen! We weren’t told what food they were missing until it was ordered even though it was a very small set menu. 1 course of set menu was priced at around £17 but the same meals on a normal menu for a normal day were priced about £10? Huge increase for poorer food, really do not recommend.

Food fantastic, staff lovely, decor brilliant. The downside was out of 7 items on the menu, 2 of them were unavailable, and there were no desserts on offer. Chicken a la creme, absolutely delicious.

Went for a meal and a few drinks with a few friends. The food was really high standard. Would highly recommend eating at this establishment.

I have been a regular at The Bay Horse for a long time, but it has just undergone a fabulous makeover and got a new management team & chef. What was a good pub is now even better. The food is absolutely excellent - I agree that it costs more than previously, but you get what you pay for and I have no complaints whatsoever on that score. The new managers (Jay and Chelsey) are very friendly & welcoming, as are all their team. The new chef is also very friendly and keen to take on feedback from diners, which is great. There are regular live music nights which attract a large crowd but this doesn't seem to have any adverse effect on service, which is really good. We are extremely happy (and fortunate) to have this pub as our local.

Recently had a meal at the bay horse warm friendly welcome shown through to the restaurant by chelsea absolutely love the refurb done to such a high standard great service from Chelsea jay and elisha ordered our food thought a bit pricey but you don't mind if it's good but unfortunately not that impressed when it did turn up service exceptional service unfortunately let down by average overpriced food

Amazing Sunday lunch yesterday, we had the beef and turkey. Cooked to perfection, great flavours, large portion size and absolutely love the revamp. Stylish, warm, rustic country chic. All staff warm and welcoming and on hand. Can’t wait to return and sample the other menus and food on offer 👌

Popped in last night to find under new ownership. Lovely friendly staff and customers and cosy pub. The new owners now allow dogs in so we will be visiting much more frequently now. Great place 😀

A nice cosy country pub serving a good choice of cask conditioned real ale. Friendly welcoming staff Very good food, a nice pub garden with plenty of seating, and large enclosed field that hosts classic car shows in the summer. Definitely worth a visit.

Very pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. Sunday roast was piping hot and beautifully cooked. Plenty of it too. Gorgeous roast beef so tender. Ordered icecream and could tell it was good quality. Took a bit of eating cos couldnt resist eating so much of the sunday roast first but it was delicious. Lovely friendly attentive staff as well. Couldnt ask for better. All for less than 13 pound each. On a Sunday that takes some beating. We will be back to Bay Horse at Arnold and we will be bringing relatives with us next time as well. Great family country pub. The outside area is brilliant for kids not sure about the on-site caravan developments. Would not leave my car in the local area overnight.

Visited Tuesday bout 3.30, meals started 4pm, made to feel welcome, quick service. Great meal good portion size, had steak and Kidney pie, would highly recommend it. Delicious

We came here today for our Christmas lunch and it was absolutely fantastic, the staff lovely, very clean and the food was super, all sittings got their meals at same time, it was very carefully planned and thought out, thanks Bay Horse you did yourselves proud.

Me and my husband are staying in a beautiful caravan on Hamlet Rise next to the Bay Horse & we have just had Sunday lunch at the pub with our Daughter, Partner & two Grandchildren. The staff were very welcoming & friendly & the roast beef dinners were absaloutly yummy 😋.... Great price & plenty .... a nice touch was the tasty treacle sponge with custard which were free.... would highly recommend x

Went for drinks and some food. We sat outside. Guy came out after we had sat down so we asked to see a food menu as none on tables or anywhere outside. Girl brought over Menu over ten minutes later. Waited another ten minutes to order but nobody came back. Went inside and approached girl at bar who wasn't doing anything and asked politely if I could order some food. Told me it was table service only and will come out and take the order. I actually thought she was following me outside to take the order but no. Waited again.... Over ten minutes. Had now been here for nearly 40 mins and unable to order food and drinks. 2 tables occupied outside and couple of people inside so not busy at all. Walked out and left. Told them we were leaving on way out and stood in dining area doing NOTHING? Truly shocking service, been coming here for years but never again. Absolute joke!!

Had a great first post lockdown pub visit at the Bay Horse. Andrew and the team have made a fantastic job of making the pub safe. The food and service is back to its usual high standards. Really looking forward to getting back inside soon.

We visited The Bay Horse today without booking but the land lady found us a table straight away . She took our drinks order and they were delivered to our table a few minutes later . We ordered a Sunday Roast and we didn’t have to wait too long for it to arrive . It was absolutely gorgeous and the Yorkshire Puddings were amazing!! We will definitely be visiting again as we were so impressed with excellent way things were organised and the friendly helpful staff .

waited at least half a hour to even get drinks when a young man eventually came over at this time there was only one other couple before us we got drinks and asked for food we got there at 12.30 we have just left it being 3.30 the service was terrible had we not been with friends we would definitely walked out we would never ever go there again the service was shocking all we got was S,unday lunch and a pudding which eventually came out when we asked the young man were the pudding was he said the chef forgot about them considering we had already paid for them covid or no covid, 3 hours is to long to wait for 2 courses we would never go there again

Went for a meal this Sunday and would like to compliment the guys their. Obviously a lot off time and effort has gone into organising things so thank you so much we will be back .

We were excited to return to the pub post the winter lockdown, and expected great things but was severely dissapointed. As per covid policy we picked a table outside and waited to be served. No one came to serve us for almost half an hour, eventually we approached a member of staff who then sent someone over to serve us. We then waited an hour for anything to arrive...but nothing arrived not even drinks. We approached the young man who served us and he rudely told us it will arrive when it arrives and there was nothing he could do about it. There were a few other tables outside some got at least 2 rounds of drinks before we got ours and others atleast got their initial round of drinks. After 1 hour and 15 minutes of ordering out drinks finally arrived. We had an 18 month old with us and requested a high chair 3 times....we are still waiting for our high chair. When our food arrived 2 meals were carried out and the server got stopped by a gentleman who was slightly intoxicated but they had a conversation with no masks over our food which we swifty went and collected ourselves. When it came to paying the bill we expressed our dissapointment to the lady (who turned out to be the land lady) who extremely miserably told us there was nothing she could do about the situation, she made excuse after excuse and told us that she should be at home with her kids but had to be in work...It was not our fault that she had to be in work that day, or if they were having any staffing problems. She apologized but followed it straight off with it's not really her problem. It would have been nice to have received a sincere apology rather than the bark that we received from her. Her attitude was that we didn't need to eat the food or stay. But we had come out for tea and once we had already waited over an hour and a half for our food we were hungry and had a small child with us so we ate. The food itself was good. Service....attrocious Probably won't be going back....probably aren't welcome back.

We are so glad that we spotted the sign for this great pub! Covid measures in place, friendly greeting, reasonable choice on the menu and the food was absolutely excellent. The lasagne was almost as good as my mum's- the best I've ever had when out and about. The steak was cooked perfectly and our son adored his halloumi fries. Staff were flexible, gave me chips instead of salad etc. Would highly recommend and definitely return!

I am one that is eternally grateful to The Bay Horse for providing takeaways during lockdown which ensured I was still able to purchase Sunday lunch.At the weekend we had our first visit to the restaurant and I for one was grateful of the tables being further apart.The food and the service was impeccable as ever.I will be returning very soon.

We went for Sunday lunch today. The meal was outstanding. The beef, thick slices, melted in the mouth, proper roast potatoes and creamy mash, traditional vegetables and plenty of gravy, not forgetting the tasty Yorkshire pud. Massive portion. I might have to go for the small portion next. The staff are friendly and courteous. It won’t be long before we return

We visited The Bay Horse on one of the Eat Out To Help Out evenings and were pleasantly surprised at how well social distancing rules were maintained even though they were quite busy! This was very important to us as it was my mother’s 80th birthday. The food was exceptional and the waitresses very friendly. We will be back! Thank you so much guys, it was my Mum’s first out and she enjoyed every second.

I ate here last week. On arrival i wanted to leave as there was no distancing whatsoever in the bar or restaurant with less than half a metre between our chairs and the next tables in the restaurant. I didn’t want to make a fuss and we were there for a special occasion so I sat down. Thankfully there was sanitiser everywhere and the staff were cleaning a lot. No details were taken from us for track and trace. The waitresses were so friendly. I would give them five stars for their warm and friendly service. The food was nice enough. Nachos were good (but seemed to have mayo instead of sour cream). The mains were nice although the chips weren’t homemade and average frozen chips (this place used to have lovely chips). Stroganoff, pie and lasagne were really good but the steaks were tough and not really enjoyable. The plates were piled high with food. We are big eaters but all agreed the portion sizes should be a bit smaller.Deserts were nice. I would give this place 5 stars for the friendliness of the staff, maybe 3.5 for the food (- would be a 4 if there were homemade chips) but sadly the lack of any distancing is a cause for concern.

My husband and I took my elderly mum for Sunday lunch. Mum had the chicken roast dinner and we has the beef sunday roast. It was all beautifully cooked with fresh vegetables etc and really tasty gravy too. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding with was divine. A special mention to our waitress Bobby who is a real asset to the pub, nothing is too much trouble and she has a fab personality, adding to our excellent Sunday trip out. Our 2nd visit in 2 weeks and we will be back without a doubt.

I took my daughter for her dinner. The place was really busy which was understandable as food was half price.I ordered my drinks from the bar and the young lad who worked there had no personality, he didn't crack a smile.I always thought if you worked with the public you had to a least look slightly enthusiastic.I then ordered food as I managed to find a table. The food was a slight wait which did not bother me. We both enjoyed the food but it would have been so much better if a certain staff member didn't come across as though he didn't want to be there

Fabulous jewel in the crown, lovely attentive staff, and food lovely, even catering for our son, who is Vegan. My mum in law thoroughly enjoyed her meal, as we did, and will absolutely be returning 10/10 to management and especially the staff :-)

First meal eating out after lockdown and the Sunday lunch was amazing. We had the beef with all the trimmings and for £6.50 you got a good feed . Tables inside and out were socially distanced, plenty of hand sanitizer around . Staff very friendly and helpful . Would not hesitate to go back we felt safe and comfortable. Thank you

My friend and I visited here we had first carvery they are doing special promotion The staff on the bar and man serving were pleasant the food was cooked well and delicious only critic was peas carrots cabbage could maybe do with another veg on as well will definitely visit again

Eaten here on Sunday the 9th of feb as a party of 6. Starters very disappointing and one starter forgot until we reminded the waitress so one member of party had to eat alone. Half our party got carvery which was disappointing as veg was mushy with minimal choice, however meat was very tasty. On the other hand, the other half of our party order steak and ale pie which was faultless. On a serious note, the table leg fell off as we sat at the the table, so I do think investing in some new furniture is a good idea. And the manager to address hygiene standards. Such as, waitresses with long hair to wear the hair tied back whilst serving meals and the person who is serving carvery to wear chef whites. And maybe make it bar service if unable to manage table service, as we had to hunt for cutlery to eat our meals and ask for drinks to be removed from the bill as we didn’t receive themb

Popped in to the Bay Horse for Sunday lunch. They have today just started a carvery. The choices were beef or pork. I had the beef & it was very nice, veg nicely cooked with real Yorkshire puddings & roast potatoes. My only complaint was the scoop of mash was a bit lumpy & there wasn't any stuffing! Bay Horse has a great play area for the kids and a lovely outdoor area for the summer!

Visited last night with friends. I'm always dubious about veggie choices in country pubs after dreadful experiences, but I just had to say how thoroughly lovely my meal was. 4 choices but the one I chose was unavailable. Anyway the chef pulled it together for me and it was delicious! So much of it too, I had to bring some home. Thank you for restoring my faith in eating local! Hubby who is also veggie but quite fussy has tasted the pie and is very impressed!

Not the best restaurant ever. The vegetables was all mixed on one plate, the potatoes was like cardboard and the stuffing didn’t taste like stuffing.

We came to see our friend play live music in the outdoor area behind the pleasant pub about 20 minutes from our home. We were greeted in the bar by friendly staff and shown to a table. A simple menu of home made food, we ordered our food which was cooked and served quickly was delicious. We both had chicken, one with rice and one with the chips, and the quantities were adequate and the food was very tasty. The drinks were served quickly and although we had never visited the pub before, we were able to set up a bar. Altogether a very pleasant evening in a nice environment. We will be visiting again. Super friendly staff matched by food and value. Very happy to recommend! We also stayed at their lodge for 1 week and found it at useful place to base ourselves from; as lots of good attraction with short distance.

We've often fancied this pub but reading the reviews can be quite off putting but i am not a shallow person so decided to see for myself. We visited 2 nights ago, perfect country pub & welcome by landlady's daughter, we ordered, i had scampi in a basket & its one of the best scampi dishes ive tried, lots & lots of succulent scampi homemade tartre to die for. Other half had the pie & veg, veg was cooked as should be aldente, pie was huge with big chunks of meat, wait was only 15 mins, Prices are very good. Landlady came in all smiles. We will be using this pub again, its great & on our door step. Well done Bay Horse 5*

Having been recommended this place by lots of people thought we'd try for ourselves and wasn't disappointed. Food was plentiful with basket meal, light meals and full size portions so a good choice for everyone. All good except let down by the frozen chips which were a disappointment as I expected fresh chips!!! Staff were all nice (I think it was just landladys manorism - she was pleasant too) all were helpful ..dining room needs a face-lift but nice and clean! Will definitely return soon ...hopefully real chips!!!!

Contrary to the latest reviews on TripAdvisor all the staff were pleasant and courteous. The food is plentiful and reasonably priced. The outside space is great on a nice evening. We found the restaurant to be very dated and in need of a makeover. The pie and scampi were very good but let down by the awful frozen chips that accompanied them. The deep fried soggy chicken nuggets on the kids meal were also a let down. We would return but only if our concerns were addressed.

The food was good but the landlady was very rude and frosty, everything was too much trouble. She didn't want us to use the dining room because it was full but it was half empty. She had a look and said it would take twenty minutes to set a table or we could sit outside in the cold wind. Understaffed, would be worth a visit if she wasn't there.

Visited the Bay Horse with family. 4 adults and 3 children. The pub has a brilliant garden for youngsters to play in. Unfortunately we were hugely unimpressed with the attitude of the lady in charge!. Considering the lovely beer garden you would automatically presume this would be a family friendly pub! The lady was not!. One of our children is a one year old who like every other child of his age is into everything! and just so happened to touch a potted plant situated on our table. The lady nearly fell over herself to grab this from the table and then told us the cost of these is £14!!!. The child had barely touched the plant!!. Later on during our meal the same child was getting restless, all food had been eaten and we were getting ready to vacate the table. The child started to cry (like children do!) and the look of disgust on the same ladies face was embarrassing!!!. It’s such a shame we were made to feel so unwelcome as the food was really lovely and the children enjoyed the outside space. However my children not been made to feel welcome is extremely off putting therefore it will be our last visit to the pub (unless of course new management take over!).

I was visiting the area with my sister researching our family tree and going round the local grave yards and cemeteries. Out great grandfather died at Arnold carr .and we drove by the pub on the way so devided to stop for our evening meal . For an out of the way place the pub was busy but friendly .we went into the restaurant. The food was reasonable priced a good varied menu .she hsd the salmon and broccli pie with mash top and veg and i chose the beef and ale pie with chips .both were £8.95 each

The Bay Horse Inn is tucked away down a little side road off the A165 road from Hull to Bridlington. It still has the feel of a local rural pub but serves meals in a dedicated restaurant area. An excellent selection of 'beyond-the-usual' pub fare is available together with a weekly themed night (eg Indian all-you-can-eat for £8.95) and occasional 'Gourmet' nights. The staff are extremely pleasant and the bar serves an attractive selection of liquid refreshment. There is plenty of outside seating to enjoy the sunny Holderness weather, a generous Kids play area and soon-to-appear holiday chalets. Super value and well worth a visit!

A really nice Christmas meal everything was fresh and home cooked. The staff were really friendly which made it an overall enjoyable experience.

On a journey to find Rise Hall, my friend and I thought we would stop for a pub lunch. The first venue we tried was fully booked, so when we saw the sign for the Bay Horse on the main road we decided to give it a try. We were certainly not disappointed. The bar and waiting staff were very welcoming and we were invited to sit in either the bar or restaurant. We chose the bar, leaving the closed off restaurant for young families. The menu was extensive, with most of the dishes similarly priced. We both chose the Piggy Chicken - generous fillets of chicken covered in barbecue sauce infused pulled pork topped with melted cheese and accompanied by a generous portion of mixed salad, delicious coleslaw and chips to die for. It arrived in a timely manner, but it took us quite a while to eat because of the size of the portions, however, the hot food remained warm throughout. We did not arrive home from our singing engagement until after 6:30, but we still felt quite replete.

Had this pub recommended so went as a group of 7 Adults and 4 children for lunch and the food was excellent, AND SERVED ON HOT PLATES Yeah!! The food is nicely presented and the portions are large so make sure you're hungry! We all enjoyed out meals with the exception of 2 who had the steak and found it to be rather stringy. The veggies and all accompaniments were spot on and the young ladies service were so pleasant and helpful The outside area is lovely with picnic tables (you can eat out here too if you want) and in the huge grassed play area there's a bouncy castle and climbing frames with plenty of secure fencing to keep the little darlings safe - 2 of ours had their bikes. A whale of a time had by all - Thank you so much! Quite a large car park too.

Absolutely lovely....plenty of parking... nice outside area/space... friendly staff, great food, nice beers... a good few gins to try... all you could want from a friendly pub ...we will definitely go again!!

Went for tea with my friends and children, and the food was lovely, filling and hot. The down side is we waited around 20/25 minutes for or garlic bread starter to arrive, and the soft drinks are only served in half measures which is a little disappointing, we ordered the cheese and bacon burgers with kids burgers all the burgers are cooked lovely with ground mince and not the typical plastic burgers you normally see at a pub. We decided to have dessert and we chose the daim bar cheese cake which is amazing. The out door play area for the children keeps them occupied with climbing frames and bouncy castle and it is free which is always a bonus. Will defiantly be returning

Lovely surroundings great spot to watch the sun go down on a summers evening whilst the kids play in the play area, sometimes they have the bouncy castle out too. The food is very good also.

The food is absolutely beautiful! My partner said it is the best pub food he has ever had! My little boy loved the outdoor play area Bouncy castle & his chicken nuggets & chips! We have already planned to go back next weekend!

Went on a Wednesday evening for tea with the whole family after been told about the kiddies area.

My wife and I recently made a visit to the Bay Horse in Arnold. Although we used to visit fairly frequently we felt there were better options in the area. We decided to give it another ago and it's quite clear the Bay Horse has upped it's game. There is now an excellent selection of upmarket gins/tonics and a few more ales available. The gins are very well priced and came with fruit in proper gin glasses (essential!). Sitting outside in the sun in the beer garden was a great way to decide on what to eat. We were both very impressed with our food. My rib eye steak was cooked perfectly and I understand that it is sourced locally. It was a wholesome meal with home made chips, onion rings, fresh salad, coleslaw, mushrooms, tomatoes and a full array of sauces on request. My wife went for the steak and ale pie, again homemade, excellent pastry that melts in your mouth, with a very generous filling. We were both very happy with our food and service and we will definitely be visiting much more frequently again.

Just spent a week down in E Yorks and found the most fantastic place to eat first class service and beautiful surroundings my wife an I visited the place on three occasions during our seven day stay the Sunday lunch was incredible we had our big labradoodle with us and they were extremely accommodating special mention to the bar managaress who was very friendly and courteous and a credit to the establishment if you want good food and good service and beautiful surroundings look no further than the bay horse

Came for a family meal. Food was gorgeous, garlic mushrooms and the homemade chips were a hit with all of us! I can personally recommend the veg lasagne. Staff all friendly and attentive. Enclosed play area with bouncy castle is brilliant for the children. See you all very soon as we have planned our next get together there.

Nice lawns and kids play area. Plenty of outside seating and umbrellas to get out of the sun for a few minutes. The menu is a bit 1980s, prawn cocktail, garlic mushrooms, garlic bread starters. All mains with chips, like scampi, chicken strips, steak pie.

We booked in for a Friday , there was a large party already seated , my heart sank , I expected a long wait , but no our food came out quickly , it was hot and plentiful . There was numerous waitresses hovering about making sure everything was OK . We finished our meals and the plates were whisked away , we were then offered desserts , we were not ready for any at that point , a couple of minutes later they were back asking again , we explained that we wanted to wait a bit as we were not ready yet , not 2 minutes later they were back again , so we said no we will I've it a miss thanks . It all felt a bit rushed and there were plenty of tables available so we couldn't see a problem .

The meat pie is a big must!!!!! Don't like to tell you all this as I go often and don't want you all to buy it and run out for me lol but!!!!!!!! It is lovely and the proper cut chips are top of the shop highly recommend this place also have a bouncy castle there all summer and a park too you don't know you have the kids and you can watch them from your table outside great place lovely view of the countryside too also great puddings pics below mmmmmmm

The service was good but the Sunday roast I ordered , expecting turkey off the bone and not the processed rubbish you would expect in a frozen dinner or in a packet from Bernard Matthews. The gravy was a packet mix, the 2 roast potatoes were good, however the small side dish with 2 broccoli heads and a few carrots and runner beans was only enough for 1 person, so 2 of us shared it. My daughter had lamb and her meat was also like mine. It stated on the board Sunday lunch with all the trimmings ?? We couldn't find any and very disappointed. The other meals being served looked very nice

Have visited this pub before , usually on the way home from the sea side, for a few refreshing drinks and usually something to eat. My two sons thought it would be a lovely treat to have a family mothers day meal here.What a mistake , we gave our order for starters and mains , 20 mins later , young girl started laying the mains on the table , explained to her that we were waiting for starters first , another 20 mins went by and again they tried giving us our mains , said again we were waiting for our mains , young girl replied very rudely ' well their plated up now ' , at this point I asked to speak to someone in charge , a lady came across and apologised, then came back and asked us to order our starters again , this is after we had Sat there for an hour now , when the mains finally got to us , you could tell they had been kept warm in the kitchen , the lasagne was all dried up and the scampi wasn't crispy at all , so can honestly say it was one of the worse meals we have ever had , there was a reduction in the bill , we didn't get charged for the starters though , desserts were ok , although three ordered treacle sponge and one came out cold , so back in the kitchen that went , not the best of mothers day in afraid

Booked to visit this quaint overlooked family run hostelry. Found it to be a very clean well run public house with great service and excellent meals. Would definitely visit again and would recommend it to other visitors to the area.

Friendly warm welcoming pub and great food served. Burger night very good, generous portions tasty food. Will definitely be back.

We have not been to this pub for a few years and decided to try it. We went with our friends and were quite impressed with the warm and friendly atmosphere. It was the Monday steak night and we all had steaks and the wine which was included with the meal. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the staff were very pleasant. We will be visiting again. Tried the steak pie night on the Friday. Strongly recommend it. Delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. Staff was very helpful explaining the menu. We will be definitely be back very soon.

We visited here few weeks ago for a family meal the service was great and the food was tasty and homemade Shame we didn’t have room for pudding . The old down fall was they was Eminem playing really loud from the kitchen which was a little uncomfortable when with our grandparents and 1 year old.

We have just got back from a family meal out here. We never booked but luckily they made room for us. What a great team that work there, so friendly, warm and welcoming! All staff made sure we had everything we wanted and needed, and made sure we had drinks, asking if we wanted anything else. A great team like that always makes a place stand out from the rest and makes people want to go back! The food from the new menu was lovely, it all came beautifully presented, hot and fresh and tasted gorgeous. I will most certainly recommend to friends and family and will definitely be returning again. I would highly recommend the sizzling pulled pork! Although all my family (6 people) enjoyed all there meals and would recommend what they had too! Can’t wait to try more soon.

I went on the first night that food was available after the kitchen had re-opened with new chefs (well actually, returning chefs from a few years ago). The food was very plentiful and absolutely delicious. I couldn't finish my main course, but gave it a good go - these guys certainly Know how to cook a rare steak! The waitresses were efficient, polite and absolutely charming, as were the bar staff - oh, and the beer was delicious too. Thank you to all concerned

Hemos intentado reservar aquí muchas veces sin éxito. Hoy en una tarde pasando y nos arriesgamos. Ahora sabemos por qué siempre lleno. El personal no podía hacer lo suficiente. Casa gratis con excelentes opciones de sidra. Menú básico, pero la comida resultó muy bien presentado y macizos de mmm. Se lo recomendaría a todo el mundo

Mi hermano y mi cuñada viven cerca de este pub y hemos visitado antes. Así que nos fuimos a una comida de domingo en el cumpleaños de mi marido. Para ser sincero, nos habríamos ido, porque la única razón para quedarse era la gran empresa. Para empezar con alguien por favor enseñar las camareras de sonrisa - no es mi culpa que están en el trabajo, pero es una industria de servicio y una sonrisa puede llevar lejos de usted y cosechar frutos en términos de consejos! Ah, y aprender a decir por favor y gracias, cómo se sirve y cómo poner un budín de cuchara, por ejemplo NO POR EL TAZÓN. Es anti-higiénicas y desagradable. No toc ruidosamente y suspiro cuando nos pide ser servido.

Fuimos un sábado por la noche para ser sincero el tamaño de las porciones en algunos de los platos principales (plowmans) son ridículamente pequeñas para el precio. También no quieren sonar como un viejo, pero las camareras faldas fogey son sórdidos corto obsceno. Dios ayuda si tienen que agacharse para nada.

Been to the bay horse a couple of times before and it has been ok I recommended it to my friends and I must say we were all disappointed with what we chose one my friends ordered the ploughmans cheese board on my recommendation he paid £9.99 for it ther was one small piece of blue cheese and a thin slice of normal cheese a very small pork pie cut into four a couple of bits of cob I woul expect more on a starter the young girl serving asked if we wanted anything else I said a bit of cheese would be nice she came back with another slice !!! Well I won't be back

We have visited the Bay Horse quite a few times now and always had a lovely meal. However, we recently went and were a little disappointed. Two of us opted for the large steak pie and if that was a large portion then the small portion of pie must be very small! Also the veg had pepper on it, which I think should be left for you to season to taste. One of us had the pulled pork sizzler, which they said wasn't as nice. Previously it had come with chips, but this time none were brought to the table. When we asked the waitress she said there was a new chef and went off to get some done. This obviously is the reason that the food was not quite the same. Whilst the meal was OK, it was not the same standard that we have enjoyed before. And with so many other places to eat, we probably wont rush back here.

The last time we visited here was a couple of years ago to a christening so this was the first time we had sampled the restaurant food. We managed to get a table, easy enough even though it was busy and we hadn't booked, we ordered at the bar and went with the classic meal of scampi, chips and peas. Freshly cooked and tasted lovely, we even sat in the beer garden for a while and enjoyed the sunshine. Nice atmosphere and pleasant location

We hosted our daughter's wedding reception here yesterday, in tipis on the grass paddock area. Mark and his staff could not have been more attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. Our daughter and son-in-law's chosen meal (steak pie, chips & peas) was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were far bigger than I would have expected at such an occasion. I only tried one of the three puddings - a lemon cheesecake - but that too was delicious. All the staff worked extremely hard to ensure that our daughter got the day of her dreams. The arrival drinks were served so efficiently, and yet always with a smile and the young waitress (Lauren) managed always to have a full tray of glasses to offer people, without ever appearing to leave her station. Wonderful service also from Hayley behind the bar, Zoe popping up wherever anyone needed a hand (bar, waitressing, dealing with the cake, etc) and all the other waitresses. Thank you so much to all of you for making a truly fabulous occasion that was enjoyed by all our friends and family

Visited here a number of times, usually a favourite of ours as a family for a home cooked pub lunch.Most of us where satisfied with our meals, but got to point out the service was really disappointing, I will note a young man serving behind the bar was friendly and attentive at his work, but the staff in the restaurant dining area I'm really sorry to say we're nothing short of rude. Had to ask for cutlery and condiments after our meals had arrived a few times, and when we eventually got some ketchup for the children this was slammed down onto the table. Really bad attitude and we wasn't the only party to think this in the dining area. Really disappointing as we usually travel out of our way to come here.
