The original keys is a nice popular traditional pub. There is a wide selection of beers lager and cider but sadly no cask conditioned real ales. The John Smith's bitter I had was very nice and incredibly only £2.40 a pint. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and there is an outside seating area behind the pub. I will call in again when I am in the area.

Popped in today to get out of the cold , the pub was nice and warm ! The lady behind the bar was very welcoming and made time to have a chat which I thought was great. I think it’s very rare you find business owners making time for customers so thank you for that. Prices of drinks blew me away ! So cheap ! It was also lovely to see the pub putting on charity events !

Security guard needs to be fired. She told someone a lie and then watched as he attacked me.

Great pub loverly staff and cheap beer, always something going on.

Stayed in Driffield for a night before a family funeral. Had a great night, prices very good and staff and locals very friendly. Will call again when over the pennines.

Decided to come to the keys to watch footie with my little boy. After reserving me a table they were so welcoming . The staff was great with my son, and not only did they take him for some free food, at half time ( I've Limited motabiliy) but also brought myself food. A credit to the community and all!!! First class customer service at its finest. Can't comment on food. ( however the free half time chilli was nice,)

Does not serve food like google leads you to believe, bit smelly and felt dead even though it had a fair few people in there drinking. Shame cause from the outside it looks quite inviting and a nice spot for a pub lunch but it’s just a sad boozer.

Popped in for a few drinks in the beer garden. Great atmosphere, live music was great, service and staff really good. Drinks at a reasonable price, too. We'll be back.

Great local pub with friendly staff and entertainment and great beer prices. Quiz on Thursday night 8p.m Singers on Friday dj Saturday and karaoke. Not been give a try.Dog friendly.

Brilliant bar maid, very helpful and friendly

On our next stop, on a girly night out, we managed to get a table near a window so we could people watch. If only people were out that was....it was very quiet for a Saturday around town, given that it was just after payday. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, really nice that it has been refurbished. 

Well run pub. Dog friendly🐕. Extremely clean throughout👍 Special compliments to the friendly, welcoming landlady. Doesn't do food meals but advised us that bought food from a local shop could be brought in the pub(Nice touch that😊). Recommended.

I've been in s few dumps before but this place is up there with the worst. Dreadful food and miserable dire staff. Not z zmile amongst gem. Dreadful atmosphere and dirty and untidy. Had the feeling nobody cared. How they have some of the positive reviews is a mystery. As someone else put it, it must be friends of the owner doing it. Never again.

Last time we called for lunch it was great. Looking forward to our bacon butties for lunch this time but they ran out of bacon for 2 butties, got a sausage instead. I would have thought someone could nip out for bacon until their order arrived. No draught bitter either as it had gone off. Not the best pub lunch visit this time.

Excellent Sunday lunch, whole chicken breast, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot & swede, Yorkshire puds & stuffing. Tasty gravy. All home made & fresh veg. Pleasant staff, good service. Reasonably priced. Would recommend. Served hot!! Will deffo go again when in Driffield.

Came in for lunch midweeks and a bit of a mixed bag. The all day breakfast was good, filling and substantial but the Ploughman’s wasn’t good. 2 slices of ham and pickles were okay, but a small ramekin of grated cheese is not what you expect in a ploughman’s. Some nice crusty bread would have been good and not sure about the large portion on the plate of various salad items mixed together isn’t the usual. Certainly wouldn’t order it again and wouldn’t pay nearly £35 for a breakfast, ploughman’s, chips a gin and a soda water.

We called ahead to reserve a table and I was disappointed to arrive 10 minutes later to no table reserved and the young girl at the bar replied ‘you reserved a table? Yeah that was probably me that you spoke to on the phone’ and didn’t look like she wanted to fit us in. Then I only asked for a menu as she asked if we were ready to order when we first walked in and got our drinks at the bar, and we got a reply of ‘well it’s just a Sunday dinner..’ Lovely Sunday lunch in the end though, but probably wouldn’t pay £14 for it again and think they need to teach their staff how to smile.

I went for a mid week lunch and was charged £15 for a small tuna salad with half a coke. Was just a basic leaf salad with a small amount of tuna and for some reason was warm! My friend was charged £38 for two basic lunches. The pub is dirty looking and unsurprisingly empty. Staff however were polite and attentive. I understand pubs are struggling but over charging customers is not helping as we are struggling too. We will be heading to wetherspoons in future

Dreadful food, no idea why the scores are so high to be honest. Must be the owners friends being told to write good reviews to boost his rating

Friendly staff, beer garden is just benches in a carpark. Food is less than mediocre. Club sandwich with black toast! Not just wel done but charred, unbeatable. Won't be returning to eat.

Many items not available on menu waited 45 minutes for food was expensive for what we reviewed

Booked a table, it was ready on time, spotlessly clean. Service was excellent as was the food, chips great,not hurried and puddings very good, children emptied plates. Really enjoyed it, beer great too.

The most awful food I've had in years!! My son had the most terrible burger ever! Dripping in grease and totally under cooked.. my pie was dreadful and obviously had been heated up loads.. it was served with cold chips . And the very young girl and I say lightly "cooking" was quite clearly out of her depth!! As we heard her asking how long do I microwave this for!! We left all our food as it was inedible 😧

Food awful this time. We used to go a few times but this time fish & chips were disgusting. I ordered skinny fries and got large chips. The fish was flat and tough. The bar man apologised and refunded the price of one of the drinks. The pie however was nice so maybe it was just a bad fish day. The price has gone up so it is now quite expensive for a pub. We wont be going back i dont think.

Big portions, expertly cooked and a friendly place.

I haven’t been in this area for over 8 yrs now & I decided to visit the place I came to a lot with friends. Wow 🙄 what a dive!! No way I could dance as my feet was sticking to the floor. I asked the Dj for a tune and got looked at like a piece of muck. The security was rude, agro and clearly wanted a fight. The bar staff had attitude especially the lady. Not allowed drinks outside even in plastic glasses. Under age all over the place and can’t handle their drinks or narcotics. Couldn’t careless here won’t be returning. Don’t go

We popped in here for lunch. The staff are lovely and friendly and it also welcomes dogs. We wondered what lunch would be like as we were the only customers on a Thursday lunchtime, but we were very pleasantly surprised. I had a ploughman's salad and it was not only beautifully presented,but full of fresh and tasty ingredients. My husband had nachos with spicy chicken and he was very impressed. Believe me, that's hard to achieve. Well done to the staff and thanks very much.

Went for a meal the other day. The food was good and the staff were very good and friendly

Driving to Scarborough for a hoilday we stopped off here it was absolutely 💯 % excellent we were made to feel at home had really good food and had my favourite wine staff were very polite and chatty if we ever find this place again will definitely be visiting thank you 😁

First time in there went in for a meeting for Driffield steam rally. No drinks but the place was very nice definitely go again.

Lovely food and the staff are lively and helpful too. Only reason I haven't given a 5, was because wr waited nearly half an hour for our food, and it wasn't busy at all.

Absolutely brilliant. Called for the 1st time in a few years and the food was delicious. If you want a real treat try the chicken and chorizo skewers. They were lovely. My partner had the steak and ale pie and was similarly impressed. Well worth a trip to Driffield.

Had to wait over an hour for our food and when it arrived it really was a waste of time and 25 quid. Had to get a cheap kebab afterwards. The recently refurbished interior was cold, unwelcoming and industrial

Friendly staff and dogs allowed too. Went for a meal and a couple of drinks with the wife. Her meal was decent, but mine sadly wasn't. Like a large percentage of pubs, it offers vegetarian options that are not as good as the rest of the menu. Many more people are vegan and vegetarian now, compared to twenty years ago, perhaps pubs should move with the times,or if they can't be arsed, take these items off the menu. altogether!!

Called in for a snack but ended up with the chilli and home made chips, my wife had Hunters chicken. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and piping hot. Real homecooked chips. Chicken was well cooked without being dry, the bacon was excellent and the two types of cheese were melted and not thrown on as an afterthought. Toilets very clean. Will definitely go again

Ate on Sunday evening - great to be able to find somewhere that serves good pub food on a Sunday night until 8pm. Adults and teenagers happy with their meals - gammon steak, steak and ale pie, scampi and chicken burger. Liked that you had a choice of peas and a choice of chips or skinny fries. Good kids menu although veggie or vegan options would be an idea and great dessert choices. Drinks were good. Staff super friendly and helpful. Nice community feel with a range of age groups all mixing well.

Relaxed atmosphere and delicious food

This place has now become our regular go to pub for Sunday Lunch. We stumbled across it by chance and are so glad we did! I can honestly say it's the nicest Roast Dinner I've ever tasted in my life, everything cooked to perfection and Yorkshire Pudding to die for 😋 The Pub is also spotlessly clean and the staff are great, really welcoming and friendly. Give it a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed

Excellent food nice friendly staff the steak pie was the best my other half has had in ages and the scampi was great too and the portion was quite large.
