Deep Blue fishand chips at Wetwang are wonderful but Deep Blue at Brandesburton are terrible . I orrder fish pieces and at Brandesburton it was all batter with hardly any fish. This has happened twice. Never a problem at Wetwang.

Great place, great food, great service. Im from East Yorkshire so I know good fish and chips, just like everyone else around here. Currently live in China where I can't get good fish and chips - so it says a lot that i picked here to have my fish and chips whilst I was back for a quick hop. Did not disappoint in the slightest.

Tonight 18th October had two large fish one bag of chips £18.17 normally really lovely but tonight they definitely was not up to standard over Cooked and chewy so dissapointed did not enjoy at all

A real taste of the sea. Absolutely superb. The fish was thick and succulent with a fresh fish flavour. The small haddock was a very good size, more like a regular. Wish I'd thought to take a photo. We sat in the restaurant and enjoyed the clean and cheerful surroundings. The staff were welcoming and eagre to please. We will return.

This place could be an absolute gold mine if they could get organised. The length of wait for a takeaway is ridiculous. There were people waiting for pre ordered food as there was a shortage of chips. It's the same every time we've been, crazy.

We eat here in the restaurant regularly & always satisfied. Staff are friendly. Only downside, the air con in the restaurant will not always be turned off when we have requested it to be. You can't eat your meal comfortably & your food gets cold quickly. We are told it has to stay on as its too hot for the staff to work in the kitchen. We have taken to going elsewhere of late I'm afraid, particularly during the summer months.

Amazing gluten free fish, chips and mushy peas and they have proper onion rings made with real proper onions and are gluten free.....we were very impressed 👍

Fish was excellent. Nice and moist, batter crispy. Chips nice and golden. Greeted by a friendly happy man who seated us quickly. Everything freshly cooked. Lady who brought our food out was friendly. Would definitely come again

Had fish and chips from Brandesburton today, the fish was exceptionally cooked and the chips were perfect. The customer service was below average however when the fryer spoke to us he was the most polite and caring person there. Will definitely return when he is on again.

Dry chewy fish and dry tough pie, I think they had been sat along time after cooking, only the filling of the pie was edible and gave up on the fish about a 3rd of the way through, the chips where nice also the gravey and curry sauce was lovely, shame we didnt get freshly cooked fish and pie.

Lovely fish and good size (ordered large) Would have been a 5 but quite a few of the chips were hard and not cooked properly.

Fantastic fish and chips, very crispy and lightly battered fish and lovely chips, not greasy. A nice range of ice cream and drinks as well.

Fish OK but the chips hard burnt tasting and not Good.. had to take them back refunded.. as regular customers they are usually very good but this time the darkest brown chips I've ever seen.. Was told it was the potatoes fault more like the old oil and fryer.. Will go elsewhere over 10 pounds for a light bite and tray of chips that are inedible

Not the best by any means. Fish although freshly cooked was quite dry. Batter was nice and crisp. Chips were burnt offerings from the last opening. Mushy peas were best part of the meal. Would I go again? ..doubt it !

We hardly ever buy food from here. It's too expensive and the chips are tasteless. The batter is soggy. Beeford fish and chips are better.

Unfortunately I was told from staff nothing was suitable for vegetarians as its all cooked in beef. Was really looking forward to some chips too quite disappointing

Used this fish shop many times but tonight absolutely awful. The chips were half cooked and hard and the fish was very very well done to the point I didn’t eat it . Will not use this fish shop again . It used to be a great fish shop.

Fantastic service, fantastic food and reasonably priced, we stumbled upon this chippy on our way through and decided to stop for a bite to eat, we were not disappointed. Well worth a visit

I've used deep blue many times over the past couple of years with no issues, tonight however is a different experience altogether, going on tonight I wouldn't have returned again and would strongly advise others not to. Too many cooks spoil the broth so to speak, arrived early and received a friendly welcome, gave my order number and waited patiently, unfortunately the person that greeted us wasn't the person fulfilling the order, the order was prepared and was left to sit on top of the ovens for 10 plus minutes before the original member of staff and the fryer asked what was outstanding with the orders stacking up on the top, once they realised that nothing was missing our number was called out. We was greeted with "it's been there ages, there you go" needles to say ,on the return home it was cold, my personal response is also cold and may be a while before I return.

Deep Blue Fish & Chips is a very good chip shop. The staff are very friendly and the fish is all cooked to order so there is a bit of a wait but there is somewhere to sit in the shop while you wait. The fish and chips are very good. They also have spam fritters but no patties. Once you get away from hull, you have difficulty finding any. There is outside seating or you can eat in.

Fish and chips are usually good quality. However one of the ladies behind the counter is extremely abrupt and unprofessional. Discussing/complaining about customers who have just been served before they even walk out of the door and with other customers in the shop is very poor and unnecessary and makes customers feel uncomfortable. The rest of the staff are normally pleasant. However this is not the first time we’ve come across this particular member of staff being this way.

Attended brandsburton shop 14th May,16:00,16:30,served by a very knowledgeable lady (sorry didn't get her name)ordered fish chips large and fish chips small,shared portion of chips,she was very helpful and explained food choices and loyalty scheme very well,which I have now joined.very good experience overall,food was lovely!

Fantastic fish & chips on a Sunday afternoon.

Myself and my wife came here on bank holiday Monday 06/05/24 firstly let me say the food was really nice BUT from entering the shop to leaving was to long a wait 20 minute and there was only 3 customers in front of us then when we was getting served we was told sorry but she had only cooked you one fish when we paid for two so another 10 minute wait so waiting time with only 3 customers in front of me was 30 minutes definitely not acceptable ALSO I think some of your prices are extortionate like £2.39p for a pattie beyond belief.

Stopped off for Fish & Chips whilst passing through the village, Julie was very welcoming and helpful. Fish finger sandwich was fantastic and the fish pieces were HUGE. Husband had fish and chips and the portions were massive and the fish was white and huge flakes, absolutely unreal! Highly recommend 🙂

Amazing fish and chips tonight! we normally go in and a woman is frying the fish is eatable but not enjoyable. Managed to catch the fryers name tonight as “Gareth” so thank you Gareth for the lovely meal very pleased! Cooked to perfection fish melted in your mouth and not too much batter which we like😊

Great service from the lady on the counter, we ordered fish, chips and peas. Chips and peas were fab, the fish batter was dark brown and very oily bit disappointed as they charge top money for there food.

Had fantastic fish and chips and sponge pudding today with friends . Nearly missed the chocolate pudding. (Need to put MELT IN THE MIDDLE on the menu)👍
