Well worth a visit. Portion sizes are spot on. Prices not extortionate either.

Called today and asked for large cod and chips, I was astounded when I opened the box when I got home. 3 small pieces of fish , guys you need to go to a fish shop and learn what a large cod and chips looks like. Diabolical!! If I had opened the box at the shop I would have handed it straight back !!

Carole (who had travelled from the Helmsley branch today) looked after us very well, she gave us excellent service and had good knowledge of the things we asked of her. Food excellent (as always), we sat in the restaurant today. Thank you Carol x Mike and Kay.

Never again!! It pains me to say as this used to be a top notch chippy but tonight has just let its self down. I’m fairly sure the lad who severed me has only worked there a week or two no fault of his own doing, but now seems to be running the place with one other guy neither of witch seemed to know what the other was doing no communication etc.. the kitchen looked like a bomb had hit it open bake bean tins, debris all over the floor etc. Nearly over 15mins for x2 fish and chips that cost nearly £30 both luke warm as the fish was just sat in hot lights with sliding door fully open the whole time I was there, and the chips where portioned out for the previous order that was wrong then chucked back into the chip box and reused for me order. Most of the orders before mine had things missing and people had to keep coming back into the shop to rectify, I had mushy peas missing off mine was told this after I got the rest of the order so they have had a free £1.99 off me there… Again not having ago at the staff but the owners need to have good think about weather they was to continue this place as if it carry’s on like tonight it won’t be there much longer I’m certainly not going back.

Brandesburton Kicked out at 530 told no more orders. Attempted to find out why and told no fish then told just busy. I then attempted to see if there was a better time to go back and just ignored. Didnt want fish wanted chips and pies.

Very poor service tonight, waited in the shop for 40 minutes after pre ordered 50 mins before so food would be ready for 6pm. Finally got food at 6.40. Staff very rude towards customers and ignored customers.

As a long term customer of this place I am appalled by the service I received today! Ordered online (as I usually do) for 6pm got there at 5.55pm and didn't leave until 6.30pm whilst there the front counter staff were doing nothing but slating the manager and the establishment. Whilst waiting I witnesses them be rude to other customers. It's truly shocking and when i finally did get my food order it was definitely not worth the wait the batter on the fish was so soggy it was stuck to the chips and when I tried to plate it up at home it just tore to pieces. This is usually my favourite place to eat and was the reason I chose it as my mothers day treat and I'm regretting that decision now. It's a shame because it's usually fantastic I don't know what happened to day but I don't think I will be back for a while after today's events.

Fantastic fish and chips, cooked in beef dripping. We had a large cod, it was mahoosive, and a small haddock. Good mushy peas, plenty to share. Chips were good too. Looks like you can eat in too. Recommended.

Deep Blue fishand chips at Wetwang are wonderful but Deep Blue at Brandesburton are terrible . I orrder fish pieces and at Brandesburton it was all batter with hardly any fish. This has happened twice. Never a problem at Wetwang.

Currently live in China where I can't get good fish and chips - so it says a lot that i picked here to have my fish and chips whilst I was back for a quick hop. Did not disappoint in the slightest.

Tonight 18th October had two large fish one bag of chips £18.17 normally really lovely but tonight they definitely was not up to standard over Cooked and chewy so dissapointed did not enjoy at all

A real taste of the sea. Absolutely superb. The fish was thick and succulent with a fresh fish flavour. The small haddock was a very good size, more like a regular. Wish I'd thought to take a photo. We sat in the restaurant and enjoyed the clean and cheerful surroundings. The staff were welcoming and eagre to please. We will return.

This place could be an absolute gold mine if they could get organised. The length of wait for a takeaway is ridiculous. There were people waiting for pre ordered food as there was a shortage of chips. It's the same every time we've been, crazy.

We eat here in the restaurant regularly & always satisfied. Staff are friendly. Only downside, the air con in the restaurant will not always be turned off when we have requested it to be. You can't eat your meal comfortably & your food gets cold quickly. We are told it has to stay on as its too hot for the staff to work in the kitchen. We have taken to going elsewhere of late I'm afraid, particularly during the summer months.

I visit this fish and chip shop regularly after work. excellent food and friendly staff make this an excellent chip shop.

Amazing gluten free fish, chips and mushy peas and they have proper onion rings made with real proper onions and are gluten free.....we were very impressed 👍

Fish was excellent. Nice and moist, batter crispy. Chips nice and golden. Greeted by a friendly happy man who seated us quickly. Everything freshly cooked. Lady who brought our food out was friendly. Would definitely come again

Had fish and chips from Brandesburton today, the fish was exceptionally cooked and the chips were perfect. The customer service was below average however when the fryer spoke to us he was the most polite and caring person there. Will definitely return when he is on again.

Dry chewy fish and dry tough pie, I think they had been sat along time after cooking, only the filling of the pie was edible and gave up on the fish about a 3rd of the way through, the chips where nice also the gravey and curry sauce was lovely, shame we didnt get freshly cooked fish and pie.

Fish OK but the chips hard burnt tasting and not Good.. had to take them back refunded.. as regular customers they are usually very good but this time the darkest brown chips I've ever seen.. Was told it was the potatoes fault more like the old oil and fryer.. Will go elsewhere over 10 pounds for a light bite and tray of chips that are inedible

Not the best by any means. Fish although freshly cooked was quite dry. Batter was nice and crisp. Chips were burnt offerings from the last opening. Mushy peas were best part of the meal. Would I go again? ..doubt it !

We hardly ever buy food from here. It's too expensive and the chips are tasteless. The batter is soggy. Beeford fish and chips are better.

Used this fish shop many times but tonight absolutely awful. The chips were half cooked and hard and the fish was very very well done to the point I didn’t eat it . Will not use this fish shop again . It used to be a great fish shop.

Unfortunately I was told from staff nothing was suitable for vegetarians as its all cooked in beef. Was really looking forward to some chips too quite disappointing
