We LOVE Pizza Mamma! Sue and her team were amazing in every way, we can't say enough about Pizza Mamma! After moving our wedding date and making a few changes to our day, we asked Pizza Mamma if she could cater our whole day and feed our guests and suppliers, she was more than happy and very excited as we were!! We had a few zoom calls and phone calls and knew from the first one we has chosen well, Sue was definitely our kind of person, so bubbly and friendly and perfect for what we were hoping! Her and her small team organised grazing boards, pastas, antipasti, sides and desserts for our daytime food, we loved every option given to us we've never eaten more antipasti meats and cheeses!! As evening came round in came our HUGE platter of pizza! Just a taster of the service provided all evening as people lined up to watch them cook and enjoy the large selection! All freshly made, bubbling and very tasty the whole experience was wonderful and we can't thank Sue and the team enough for being so friendly the whole day! Many thanks again Claire & Jake

Wow, I'd tried ur pizza before and it was lovely so I knew I was in for a treat for my second visit but I gotta say Sue ur pizzas are sensational. Ur all so friendly too letting me try the chilli's! I had to stop off at my parents right after receiving my pizza and my mum ended up trying a slice and she was also really impressed, we both agreed it was the best pizza we've ever had. I wish u every success u guys really deserve it and I can't wait to come back again.

What a piece of work. Utterly unprofessional, asking for thousands of pounds just weeks before a wedding so you can get your car through its MOT and pay off debts??!! How are you planning on paying for the food then? When the bride said no you stooped as low as the belly of a snake contacting her venue to "warn" them about her. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. On top of that a very reputable catering company has an injunction against you for harassment! I will tell anyone who will listen to avoid Pizza Mamma at all costs!!!!! And before you reply with the same boring "fake" or "troll" remarks you always do to rightly negative reviews, I am as real as they come love so go for it... You're laughable. Typical reply. Shall we show the nice ladies and gentlemen some of the vile messages you've sent my friend?? Update for those interested. The police are not involved whatsoever You have not invited me to contact you whatsoever. This is the only platform in which we've communicated. You believe your own lies! Absolute nut job. I am not a troll before we get started I am a customer that has had a really bad experience and I’d like to let everyone know what a unprofessional person you are Sue! We booked this company to cater for our wedding payed a deposit agreed payment terms of one week before the wedding. 6 weeks before the wedding full balance was demanded as she had bills to pay and couldn’t afford to pay them. At this point we had doubts over our wedding day which isnt a nice feeling when you have put so much effort and money into our special day. As Sue had broken our contract on payment terms we politely asked for our deposit back so we could go find a more reliable company to provide a service on our big day. At this point this is where the disgusting emails text messages and voice notes have started. To which I might add the police have been informed. I personally have had a pizza for this women in the past which arnt bad at all this is all a review on this womens customer service and unprofessional vile acts that I know have got her in a lot of trouble in the past. Not Everyone that has had a bad experience with you is wrong! Maybe you need to take a look in the mirror and change the way you speak to people and stop attacking customers when it’s not going your way. Anger management could be the way forward for you.

Great pizza, great conversation and great service

We booked Pizza Mamma about a month before our corporate event. Sue was professional and helpful, keeping in contact to confirm the event was still going ahead (I really appreciated this). When Sue and Julie arrived, they set up their van quietly and with no fuss at all. The service was wonderful, unobtrusive and efficient. Now the best bit - THE PIZZAS. Firstly, Sue and Julie made these from scratch in the van - amazing. Secondly, the range of pizzas was superb, from veggie to full-on meat. These pizzas are DELICIOUS. They are better than any pizza I have had. I am looking forward to using Pizza Mammas again and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Pizza Mama was booked at a wedding reception I attended. Not only is it a good idea having snack food available throughout the evening, but the quality was something I didn't expect from a mobile unit. Spectacular!

Pizza Mamma catered for our wedding reception this weekend and wow, we couldn’t have asked for more. Despite some travel challenges, Sue and her amazing team delivered delicious pizza and such friendly service. Our guests were raving about it, as were the band! Sue was even thoughtful enough to make sure that I had the first slice, and to make myself and my husband a pizza each to take back to our room at the end of the night to make sure that we had eaten enough (the asparagus creation I had was beautiful). I honestly would recommend Pizza Mamma in a heartbeat.

It was my first trial day at college and I didn’t know if they did gluten free so a friend of mine asked for me and they did they cleaned all the side tops and the pizza cutter they was very very friendly would definitely have again the pizza was delicious so thank you Definitely recommend to people with coeliac or anyone in general x

We had fun day at our work place. Pizza mama made our day we had 50 pizzas. Three different kind all was beautiful. Definitely worth money. Great food, lovely service. Can't recommend enough. Was working myself in pizzeria for few years and can say honestly Pizza Mamma is amazing.

Sue and her team catered for our evening food at our wedding on Saturday 16th October 2021. From start to finish Sue has been brilliant. We had a consultation over the phone and Sue then kept in touch with me right up until the wedding providing reassurance the whole time. Sue arrived early to our venue to give them plenty of time to set up and get ready. We had pizzas and gelato and it was all absolutely fantastic! Sue did a variety of toppings on the pizzas and we chose our own aswell. Guests have been raving about the food ever since the weekend! At the end of the night the pizzas were boxed up for guests to take home, an absolute bonus for our happy, drunk guests :-) My groom and myself took pizzas back with us aswell which topped off our night perfectly! If anyone is looking for a wedding food truck caterer providing homemade, delicious food, then look no further than Pizza Mamma! Sue, thank you so much for making our day extra special! I was disappointed in your services for not providing what we paid for and discussed and when I contacted you today regarding the issue you became rude and started insulting me instantly. You had booked too many weddings for 1 day and you could not physically cater for them all. I am very disappointed in the service we received from Sue for our wedding. The service was poor and unprofessional. We did not receive what we paid for or what we agreed on when we met. We were served poor quality pizzas that just tasted of charcoal and some guests weren't offered any food and others only 1 slice of pizza. The pizza toppings and pasta and salad we discussed were not brought and the canapés were only brought round a few people. When I spoke to Sue about this I was insulted and called a liar. This is definitely no way to run a business and speak to customers. I would not recommend pizza Mamma as the service was poor and the way sue treats customers when she hasn't provided what was paid for or discussed is vile.

From my experience yesterday I am appalled with how our day went. We was promised so many things from extra toppings, to pastas and salads. Did we get this no. People had gone without food as you had missed off our guests. A gluten free guest had to go without pizza because you had brunt it and had no replacement pizza so you did roasted aubergine on a salad bed. You then start calling my new wife horrible names. You shouldn’t be allowed to do weddings. I am so ashamed to have given my guests your food as it was inadequate and many of them didn’t even get offered a slice. We paid for each guest to have a full pizza each, they barely even got a slice each. If I could rate this lower than 1 start it would be a -1. Wouldn’t recommend to people I hate

*EDIT: Due to not being able to respond to the business's owners own response directly, I have had to add photographs of my extended response to this post.* Firstly, not a troll, attended a wedding this summer as an evening guest. I will say that the pizzas served were very tasty - hot, fresh with a choice of toppings. The woman working (apologies, don't know her name) and her son were both chatty and polite and clearly doing the best they could as quickly as they could. Unfortunately, guests were stood queueing for 40mins each for one pizza per person. In having to feed over 100 guests, you can only imagine how long this took (especially as guests were called table-by-table), which resulted in a large number of people having not had a meal served; it was agreed and understood by the business owner that the pizzas were the 'main' meal and that each guest would receive one pizza each. The bride and groom were very upset that their guests went hungry on their big day. However, the worst was yet to come in the way their complaint was dealt with (or not as the case may be) by the business owner. An apology was never offered, no financial compensation was offered, and the bride and groom were blamed for their 'lack of budget' despite the fact there was an agreed price in return for the service they asked for and they paid their bill in full weeks before the wedding. Both the bride and the groom have also been blocked by the business's Instagram page so they cannot comment or leave an honest review about their experience. Sadly, this is a clear example of fraudulent misconduct whereby the business owner has advertised and promised a certain level of service - in return for money - knowing full well that it could not offer the level of service agreed to; some of the other reviews on here are evidence of this, as well as the email thread between the bride and groom and the business owner. I have advised my friends to seek further advice from Citizens Advice, report 'Pizza Mamma Hull & Roberto's Events' to Trading Standards, and to contact the Ombudsman Association due to the poor service given by this business and their lack of professionalism in dealing with the subsequent complaints from the bride and groom.

We are so grateful to have found PIZZA MAMMA! Sue and her team catered for our Wedding earlier this month, we were over the moon with the service we recieved. From our intial enquiry, right through to the evening we had the best customer service, Sue went above and beyond to make sure our Wedding food was exactly what we were looking for. We had the most delicious Stone Baked Pizzas with 5 different toppings, served in boxes to each of our guests. Sue also created is bespoke Charcuterie Cones, with Kiddie Cones for the littles ones. Our son even had a go at stretching his own dough and making his own Pizza!!! The food was amazing, the service was amazing - thank you so much for helping us to make our Wedding day so special. We highly recommend Pizza Mamma and we cannot wait to book you for our next Celebration

I booked pizza mamma for a work do a while ago, and the service and food they provided was exceptional. I saw that they were under attack from horrible trolls and felt compelled to reassure people that mg experience was superb. I will definitely be booking again.

We had Sue and the team at our rearranged wedding last Thursday and what an absolute delight it was. The pizzas were incredible, Sue and the team are extremely friendly and the feedback we have had from our guests regarding the whole pizza experience has been brilliant. We had to cancel our original wedding and postpone until this year but the communication with Sue throughout all of this has been faultless. Gorgeous pizzas, efficient and friendly service - catered to all dietary requirements. We also had the gelato and pink Prosecco we loved the pink truck! Such an amazing experience would 100 percent recommend.

I've never heard such unprofessionalism. You cannot call a client (previous or present) a brat or vile: both words you've used to talk about a hen party and a bride. The facts are quite simple in that you didn't turn up to an event that was booked due to you double booking. The date booked was exactly the same as pre-COVID. What you offered afterwards isn't relevant to someones experience. I understand you refunded and offered to cater another event for free. Retroactive work (that I presume she can't trust you for) isn't a solution. I've seen you say it was a one off and you've told me that you've changed things to ensure it doesn't happen again...but after the reviews I've seen from other bookings I can't believe that. It's a semi-regular occurrence it seems. For someone who's had many businesses previously, including a dating business and a t-shirt printing company...I'd expect a little more professionalism. Not a troll, a guest at the event who your actions impacted. I hope those reading can continue to see how you are treating those affected. Edit: I think people can see this isn't bullying or trolling - it's an honest review. I deleted my previous post to allow a new one to be posted, you can only leave one review at a time. It's also about how you rectify those mistakes - not just how you move on. It's clear from everyones reviews that the wedding I was at is unhappy with your offer/response/attitude, as is a hen party I've seen recently. Take a look and understand that the negative reviews are not false, trolling or a police matter - it's peoples experience with you Sue, which hasn't been pleasant always.

No show at 2 events I've seen in a week! ... failed to repay monies rightly owed! Called a customer a brat for not wanting to cook her own pizzas! Appears to take bookings and then when offered more money takes that booking instead and then just not turning up or letting them down last minute but don't worry she'll supply the pizzas for YOU to cook 🙂

Don't really want to give it one star but have no choice, can't even say this is a good pizza as never got the chance to try it as didn't turn up to the wedding i attended & also not turning up to a hen do. Not turning up at one event is bad enough but another one makes it even worse. Was so looking forward to these pizzas for the night do but didn't happen. And to not contact the bride is not good and spoilt the night do for us all. EDIT - REPLY I think you need to read/re-read your reviews, your reply has no relevance to myself as i am not the bride. These accounts are not fake, you only have to look at these peoples reviews left for other experiences to know this. I also have no connections with the reviewer Vivian, she is not known to me. It's hardly surprising you had negative reviews you upset a lot of people in one night. You can't seek legal action on proven facts. Not hiding. Just letting people know your service is 1 star. You don't even deserve the one you got for the amount of people you seem to have let down. Not attending my best friends wedding night to feed the guests is unheard of. The best day of her life and you completely ruined it! I kept quiet but now your setting up fake accounts to try and give the bride negative reviews on her floristry page. Little did you know due to covid she hasn't supplied flowers this year. Provided food and entertainment for my 5 year old’s birthday feeding 10 hungry children and 12 even hungrier adults. Catered for vegetarians and a gluten free brother-in-law. Pizza’s were yummy with lots of choice of toppings from her own vegetable patch. Pizza’s could be mild or chilli. Would and will book again. 10/10!!!!

Lovely authentic Italian pizzas served in style, amazing to be able to make your pizza and have it cooked in there super oven. 45 seconds a little turn in the oven and ready! Was amazing lovely staff, constant supply of pizza, mac n cheese and homemade lemonade. Not forgetting how amazing your boy is, super efficient and professional always there to help and very polite!! Thankyou for making our bank holiday so lovely!!!

Pizza Mama catered for an evening for our wedding weekend and she should be called the Pizza Queen. The service was amazing, Sue and her son Rueben literally made the evening. And the pizza was amazing! From catering for typical pizza lovers, gluten free to vegans she hit everyones spot and was such a hit. We are already planning when we can next book Sue and her trusty pizza piaggio!

Wow! I was a guest at a Wedding recently and the pizza mamma was there with those little italian piaggio van things , there really cute. The pizzas were amazing the best i've ever had, when you order a pizza form your local takeaway you think oh that's nice. but...compared to this quality it doesn't even compare, the pizzas were so fresh and tasty and the dough was amazing,it bubbled up and oh my god the flavours were stunning, cooked in the oven in the back of an italian van with a wood fed fire. This woman should start a take away in Hull and show everybody else how it's done, rob from hull. I really haven't ever tried a pizza that even comes close to this in any takeaway or restaurant in Hull.
