We have had takeaways but not eaten in here for a long time. We weren't disappointed. Lovely food & great service.

Lovely pub with great food. Wide range on the menu. All of the food was great. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming team.

Pedido 2 tés y 2 tartas de manzana con natillas. Nos sentamos al lado con nuestros tés que queríamos beber con nuestra comida. No hay señales de los pudines, después de 10 minutos entré a preguntar dónde estaban, después de todo, los pasteles solo necesitaban calentarse en el microondas y agua hirviendo añadiendo al polvo instantáneo de natillas. Me dijeron ‘no puedo hacerlo más rápido’ y lo dijeron con actitud y mirada rencorosa. Finalmente salió con los pudines y los puso sobre la mesa, pero sin cucharas. Pedimos cucharas, nos dijo que las sacáramos nosotros mismos del mostrador. Bueno no es un buen servicio teniendo en cuenta que esos 2 pasteles con natillas nos costó £ 13. 90 Estafar precio. Entonces casi £ 6 por 2 tés. Mientras la seguía hasta el edificio gruñó “no me toques” Jesús, estábamos pasando un buen rato con nuestro perro hasta que nos aventuramos en este lugar. Nunca más. Traeré mi frasco la próxima vez.

We have just recently moved to the village and tonight we have ordered a takeaway due to been far too tired to cook. Absolutely lovely five star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Staff so friendly and polite, everything we ordered tasted fresh and the chicken was tasty no nasty bits 😋.. Thank you we will definitely be coming back ....

As always, beautiful fish n chips, with Yorkshire caviar (that’s mushy peas to those of you not from Gods own county!) Huge portion that beat both me and hubby! Batter on the fish was crispy n melted in the mouth. There’s a reason this place is so popular.

Visité aquí con un amigo, pero no volveré. El personal parece tener un problema de actitud, cierran a las 3. 00:00 y media hora antes de que no puedan esperar a deshacerse de ti, bueno, esa es la impresión que nos dimos. Los sándwiches son muy caros en comparación con otros lugares locales, pero la patata chaqueta era mucho más barato. La tienda también es muy caro £ 3. 99 por un pequeño trozo de pastel de Navidad. Compré uno grande recientemente que era mucho más barato y se hizo en las instalaciones y sabía muy bien.

Can be excellent but also poor, I guess it depends on what staff are on.

No honro la oferta que anuncian, tienen una oferta si 2 cócteles por £ 10 3 hasta 5 todos los días de la semana, entramos y los pedimos y nos cobraron el precio completo, cuando se le preguntó al trabajador del bar miró la fecha y la hora y respondieron “oh, simplemente no los miércoles, ya que tenemos una noche de preguntas esta noche” fue risible realmente solo había nosotros también y otras tres personas en todo el pub, no volveremos ya que se hacen parecer poco confiables.

We go here fairly often as a family. We’ve never once had a bad experience! Friendly staff, delicious food and a great atmosphere! Thank you!

Food was excellent and price was ok. Just be aware that if you are talking and drinking it seems you have a bigger gap between courses than others. 😊. 3 hours for 2 courses seemed slightly excessive and the bar bill ended up costing almost as much as the food. Our own fault entirely (we weren’t forced to drink) but helped by the big gaps between courses.

Bought food, drinks and ice cream from Seafront Chippy, Hornsea on Sunday 27th April 2025. I can only describe the service here as a complete and utter shambles. Not all of order served. had to go back and collect. Food hidden under chips - I've never seen this before. Totally chaotic handling of customers, chip shop forcing people waiting to stand in lower section. No regard for disabled people. Virtually impossible to get to salt, finger etc as waiting customers in way. Normally these are kept on counter. The 2 young women serving were clueless. Customers treated like cattle. Older woman serving ice creams more on the ball. When she entered fish and chip shop things improved. We won't be going back that's for sure.

Wow wow wow!! I can't believe I've never tried this takeaway and lived in Pocklington for 3 years. Kept getting flyers through and thought I'd give it ago as the other takeaways had become pretty bland. I have never tasted food that good...it was amazing!!. The freshness of the food you could tell by looking at it and the portions were unbelievable. My wife had the chicken kebab that alone could have fed both of us and the taste was unbelievable. My burger had my mouth watering from the first bite. Kebab meat was gorgeous best I've tasted in a long while and I've had a fair few. Not only the food was amazing but the service I got on the phone while ordering was exemplary and the delivery driver was so so polite. This place in my opinion will be very very hard to beat and delivery charges in Pocklington....I don't care because my first experience of pizza delight is absolutely outstanding. I won't be using any other takeaway from now on and next time I'll be trying the pizzas. Keep up the excellent service!!!
