Great little farm shop with added bonus of a lovely tea rooms with inside and conservatory seating. Great food, good selection and excellent value. Always go to Marton Farm Tea Rooms when visiting the area, not to be missed. Staff very friendly, parking just a few paces outside the entrance doorway.

Having read a review left recently in which a member of staff was singled out when I was present I feel compelled to offer my review.Being a local and working in the area I often call in for my lunch. Staff are always friendly and attentive ,food is excellent, surroundings very clean and tidy ,a great little place for a bite to eat and a real asset to the area . I can honestly say I have never had a problem ,however if you have I am more than willing to wager that you are the problem and calling out members of staff in order to bully them is low and you should hang your head in shame .

This is not a child friendly facility, would NOT recommend for families. Staff are unable to accommodate for children who need a high chair. Very disappointed with staff as they are also very rude. Especially main staff member with dark hair.

This is a family favourite place to visit and has been for many years. My 90 year old father took us for breakfast this weekend whilst staying close by. The food was great and very tasty the ladies who served the food were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the mother and daughter serving behind the counter. Everything seemed to be too much trouble from taking the order and refusing to poach eggs rather than fry for just one person out of 5. We and other customers were left to wait at the counter in the farm shop with zero acknowledgement and not a single smile in sight. Maybe some refresher training in customer service skills may help as notice we are not the only reviewers to receive this treatment.

Popped in for lunch with our dog. Always find the place welcoming, and clean, and warm on a cold day. We had jacket spuds and lattes, then a walk around the shop. Always pop in when around this area.

Prebooked a table as it was for a larger group, tried to put us on a table that was too small and not enough seats as they gave our table to someone else. They brought cakes to our table then came back to our table and asked if we had touched them and we said no and they took them off to someone else’s table ( we booked afternoon tea so weren’t aware they weren’t ours and we were literally about to cut into them) ordered more water for our tea pots, came with a mug of hot water which we had to transfer to our teapot ourselves, they left tray of hot drinks next to my baby who could have knocked the tray off the table and scalded himself as the tray was hanging over the table. Afternoon tea for two was equivalent of a child’s afternoon tea at other places we have been to. very below average. Don’t waste your time and money and the safety of your children by going here!!

I ate at Marton Manor Tea Room recently and I was disappointed. The Cafe itself is lovely and in keeping with what a Farm Cafe should look like, but the 4 small triangle sandwiches that were presented to me had very little filling, the bread was not tasty and I thought of not good quality. It is such a shame, as it could and should be lovely.

Called for a cuppa just as the tearooms opened but it soon filled up. On entering, couldn’t see any big tables but a kind customer told us there was more seating in the conservatory and upstairs - perfect - they’d have lost our custom otherwise as thought there was no room. Lovely cup of coffees had by all. Small farm shop with gifts and lots of jarred goods. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff

Have visited Marton Manor tearooms and farm shop numerous times always receiving good quality food and service. Staff always pleasant. Unfortunately on our last visit as I passed the kitchen to place the order, the door was open and I heard lots of mwah mwah mwah aren’t you gorgeous as I turned to look I was alarmed to see one of the kitchen staff holding a tiny puppy up to her face. I dithered debating whether to continue to place the order. All was okay when the food came but obviously did not enjoy as much as usual.

We checked online for the opening hours on a Saturday. The website showed that the tea room was open until 4pm. We arrived at 3:40 to see a sign stating the tea rooms were now closed. No one approached us to apologise or explain when they could clearly see that we were waiting. We had a very disappointed little girl who has asked to go there for a treat.

Nice brekky to set us up for the day but it was a bit small. We cut off the fat on the bacon, sausage were not great a but small too. It would have been good to have beans AND tomatoes not one or the other also missing mushrooms and a hash brown. I realise you can add extras but this would have made it a very pricey brekky. There's only one toilet for each gender and a disabled that didn't seem to have a light switch, the switch activated the fan. Despite a sign saying close the door several people didn't and we had to get up and shut it twice, the third time a member of staff did it. The staff were lovely though!!

My wife and I visited whilst on our way to flamborough on a Thursday lunchtime, unsure of what to expect the menu was varied and included a specials board which we opted to order from. I went for a ploughman's lunch which was fantastic and my wife opted for the roast pork baguette with stuffing and a side salad plus a pot of tea all for £18 and to be honest it was brilliant we have never visited but intend to do so in the very near future. The staff were friendly and attentive and the whole atmosphere was great, highly recommend a visit and I cannot understand the negative reviews.

To be truthful, visiting Marton Manor Farm was just a happy accident! And how lucky we were! After a great time in Bridlington, we left early so as to visit Sewerby Park for an afternoon coffee and a stroll round the gardens: fond memories from visiting as a child. However, we found out that there is now a day entrance fee to access the cafe and attractions; fine if you are going to spend the day and make the most of what it has to offer, but not for us in this instance. Needing to make amends for pulling my husband away from Bridlington - and not having seen everything - we walked round to the wonderful Marton Manor Farm and all was well! Kirsty was lovely and friendly, and served us with great coffee; I also bought various bits & pieces from the farmshop. Next time we we are staying at the CAMC site, we shall beat a path to Marton Manor Farm's door. Thank you to all concerned. NB. Go early or check their opening times as they do not stay open late into the afternoon - you will be sorry you missed them!

No consideration of customers at all and didn’t even acknowledge us sat there she was so intent on getting done ! The young staff at counter were very nice though . The sausage sandwiches not the best seemed liked the sausages had been cooked a while ago and not freshly for us . Not customer focussed at all , wouldn’t go back .

Visited the Marton Manor tea rooms for breakfast this morning with my daughter and grandaughter. Disappointed as staff were unfriendly and not very welcoming, didn't see one of them smile the whole time we were there. My daughter ordered a bacon sandwich for my grandaughter and asked for some tomato sauce for her to put on it, the waitress taking the order said they would put it on and refused to give it her, other requests were made and refused. Food was mediocre but the outing was not a nice experience and we won't be going again even though our caravan is just down the road.

We arrived at 3.10pm to be told they had stopped serving food but we could have tea and cakes until 3.30pm. They were brought to us and they were ok...nothing special and £1.95 for a small glass of milk is ridiculous. Cleaning was getting done around us and tills were getting emptied. 6 people arrived at 3.29pm and they were turned away. I was going to buy from the farm shop but the till was cashed up before we had finished eating. We left at 3.45pm and will not be returning eventhough our static caravan is two minutes away and this could have been a regular place to visit. Reading previous reviews, it seems to be a regular thing that people are made to feel uncomfortable in the hour before closing time. I would have thought after such tough times during Covid, you would be welcoming people back with open arms not turning them away while you were still open. To me, if you close at 4pm, you should still be able to make a purchase until that time even if it is on a takeaway basis. I had seen items to the value of over £30 in the shop that I was going to buy. I left empty handed because you had cashed up! Not impressed.

We went for afternoon tea on 11th February 2022 with friends so there was a party of 4. We were booked in for 2pm and had a very average afternoon tea, not worth £19 for two, of anybody's money. By 2:45 we were finished so our friend said he would get us another coffee each. He came back very quickly to say they wouldn't serve him because they close at 3pm!!!! They were packing up around us, and this gave a very bad impression! The website says they close at 4PM! After the poor two years this country has seen, wouldn't you think they would be glad to have the custom, and serve just 4 more coffees??? Sorry Marton Manor you have lost the custom of 4 Bridlingtonians.

The surrounding area is very nice, including Sewerby and it has good access the beach, with 2 pubs close by. The farm animals in the petting area were good to see and the cottage itself is quirky. However, the bathroom is very small and the cottage wasn’t very clean- in particular the sinks had to be cleaned before we used them. It also smelt badly, presumably the previous guests had brought a dog with them. The upstairs was nice with everything you need. The downstairs space was small though, I would therefore recommend it for couples who are happy to eat all their meals out, but it isn’t practical to cook in the small kitchen area. They advertise check in as 4pm but it’s actually 5pm, while check out is listed as 10am but it’s really 9am- misleading.

We visited twice recently while staying locally at Sewerby. I rang up before and asked if we woukd be able to take our dog inside. The lady I spoke to was so lovely. You can't take dogs inside but there were benches outside which she apologised were in the playground area as work was being carried out at the rear of the cafe to create a dog friendly (part covered) area which would be ready for Easter. That is fabulous and will be superb for future visits which without a doubt we will be making. The coffee is fabulous (we had capuccino). It was hot, super frothy and had a strong taste of coffee. The cake slices are enormous and such good value and taste gorgeous. This farm shop/cafe deserves to do well. Visited recently for afternoon tea for 2, lovely little setting with the building and the animals. Pleasant staff but the food we had wasn't a match for the afternoon teas we have had in the area. Yes it wasn't dear at £14.99 for two but it wasnt much to get excited over, no coleslaw, a small blob of jam between 2 and the same blob of the cream, had to ask for more which we felt awkward doing. And then to ask for a stronger teapot as it was very very weak tea. They obliged but don't think we will go for afternoon tea again. We often treat ourselves to afternoon tea and recently have found a beautiful tearoom that's 2 for £12, pick your own cakes, comes with crisps n coleslaw n plenty of cream etc and beautiful China tea service. Sorry guys compared to alot of afternoon teas around this is lacking in value for money. Lovely place n no doubt other bits on the menu are tasty.

Really nice cafe with farm produce for sale and selection of very nice inexpensive gifts. Very friendly and welcoming staff, top marks. They don’t allow dogs inside although there is a nice courtyard round the back, part of which is covered. You have to walk past the bins to get to the courtyard which is really off putting. They need to have a sign up directing dog owners, move bins and Oberhausen have some planters at the alley to make it more appealing, we had coffee and cake. The cakes were huge and I gave to say it was a case of size over taste and quality. We go to a lot if cafes, farm shops etc and the coffee was lovely and hot but on taste, really poor. Sorry, but I think it is important to review how I find things to be. They have a great reputation on reasonably priced breakfasts, so we will return to try them out soon. Sorry, just a few tweaks and I can see you hitting the five star rating. Nice farm animals outside and there is.additional seating and tables here as well.

Disappointed not to be able to sit indoors with our dog. There was no salt or pepper or sugar etc on the tables and the staff didn't ask if we needed any. However the staff were very nice and I'm sure if we'd asked for anything it wouldn't have been a problem. This morning my wife and I decided to sample the breakfast at Martin Manor tea rooms having been and used the farm shop previously on this holiday. We were first through the doors at 10.09 to be greeted by lots of staff. Firstly I will review the cafe layout, medium sized ground floor with about eight various sized tables from two to six seats with more seating upstairs and a large sunny outside courtyard at the rear. It’s an order and pay at the counter system with very friendly staff who then bring your food and drinks to the table so you don’t have to manage the doors and stairs with trays. The breakfast was well presented consisting of two bacon, one sausage, two free range eggs, beans or tinned tomatoes and a slice of thick toast for £5.95. You can add extras like mushrooms, black pudding etc at £0.75 per item, there is actually ample food but I did have an extra sausage and black pudding it was all well cooked and of good quality. The drinks were in big mugs and nice and hot. Altogether a very good experience. We have booked afternoon tea on the strength of these visits.

I telephoned this place before we visited to ensure it was wheelchair accessible, and was told it was. On arrival the car park is not at all easy to push a wheelchair over. Got to the door and despite being told it was accessible there was a ridge at the doorway which makes entering in a chair difficult, although with some hassle we managed to get in. However once inside all the tables are so closely packed together there is no way we would have been able to sit at a table and eat. (Also the majority of the seating is upstairs) So whilst I cannot comment on the food or service, I can comment on being lied to by whoever answered the phone, the place is not wheelchair friendly.

Visit here regularly my nana and grandad like coming here, we particularly like the paninis’ or quiche and they also do a good pudding! Also not badly priced. Lovely inside and cute little farm shop. Does lovely mr moo ice cream and nice to grab one and sit outside in the summer. Good selection of cake in the farm shop last week we got the fruit cake and was so good! Friendly helpful staff , great place and also cute farm animals to go and see on your way out. Also does a nice afternoon tea. One of our favourite local places to go

Whilst on holiday in sewerby we visited here a couple of times. Our first visit was okay but we thought it quite expensive. However whilst there we spotted the farmhouse breakfast so on the day we were leaving for home we called in for breakfast. Two rashers of bacon, a nice meaty sausage, two eggs and either beans or tomato and a slice of toast. All for under six pound. You could also add extra items such as black pudding ,( which was delicious), etc. Would highly recommend the breakfast.

Service was OK, surroundings clean and comfortable, drink very hot but definitely NOT a latte! Served in pottery mug was very weak in taste and not made with frothy milk, it was more like a hot milky bedtime drink. Sorry but I wont be returning anytime soon!

The farm cafe is nicely done in a modern country style, with things like disabled/baby change toilets.

We shared a bacon sandwich and a sausage sandwich, they were superb. The sausage in particular was extremely good. I had a Mokka and it was one of the best that I have had.

Farm shop and tea room with very good staff deserve our praise. So busy, so quick, so efficient with captivating smiles. My wife's sandwich a work of art. My ploughmans, well, if I could be so lucky as a ploughman. Then I found room for more cheese with the fruit cake. Bliss.

We visited this place twice last week whilst we were in the area. The first just for coffee outside - it was lovely day and we had walked there with the dog. The second day we sat inside (leaving the dog in the car in the nicely shaded car park) and indulged in Cake too. What struck me both times was how lovely and clean it all was, together with the very smart, helpful and polite staff.

We was on holiday within the village over the weekend. We fancying an afternoon tea so searched for local places and Marton Manor farm popped up. What a lovely place! Great atmosphere and delicious food. We was impressed with the value of the afternoon tea as it’s only £15 for two and the quality of the food was amazing. It was a perfect size not too much or too little and the coffee was also lovely. We will defiantly return if we’re holidaying in Flamborough again.

Four of us visited on route home from the beach, it is counter service which is not a problem for this establishment, we ordered a beef sandwich on white, an afternoon tea for two and a fresh scone with jam and clotted cream. All we're well presented and tasty, staff were polite and helpful, would definitely visit again if passing by.

Visited this lovely tearoom with my sister in law after a recommendation from a friend. We are both on Slimming World so trying to be careful about what we eat. The menu is quite good but did not really suit our diet so I asked a member of staff if she would make a 'plate ham salad' for us (didn't want bread or potatoes). She organised this for us without any fuss. What arrived was delicious, as were the coffees. Thank you for accommodating our request.

Visited the tea room after a recommendation. We sat outside under the shelter because it was a bit drizzly and we had a pram with us. We ordered the afternoon tea for 2 which was good value at £14.95. It came with 2 ham and 2 egg mayo sandwiches (could choose filling), scones with jam and cream, fruit cake and lemon drizzle cake as well as coffee. It was very nice!

We love this place for breakfasts as it’s always great food with really fresh free range eggs. The Poached eggs on their lovely fresh brown toast is my favourite . Also the scones are again freshly home made unlike some cafes in Bridlington .

Visited for a late breakfast/early lunch with our little boy. The sandwiches were lovely, my partner had the breakfast which he said was ok. The price was slightly on the high side but the tea room is lovely and there are some nice things to buy from the shop.

What a hidden gem! We recently stayed at the Thornwick Bay Haven site and discovered this place, so pleased we did. We cycled here from Flamborough and took approx 20-25 mins on main roads.

Booked this cottage for myself and my mum for her 76th birthday , it was just perfect the views from the lounge was beautiful and the bedroom was overlooking the farm yard but it was lovely . The location is central for flamborough and Bridlington but you can easily access further afield .

We visited here after a walk at Flamborough Head. Sat in the courtyard as it was a hot day. We had coffee and scones with jam and cream which were lovely. There were gluten free scones and cake to choose from. We will definitely visit again when in the area.

We visited over Easter and loved all the little chocolate eggs hidden around the cafe - kept the kids entertained whilst they waited for their food! Lovely cafe with a great menu. We ordered a range of different food but loved the halloumi burger and cheeseburger especially. It’s great that dogs are allowed in this cafe but as we don’t own a dog, even better that there are two areas - one for dogs and one where dogs aren’t allowed. Service was quick and with a smile, reasonably priced too for restaurant quality food. The only improvement needed is the toilet area - could do with a update!

A gem of a cafe, lovely staff, quality food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even making up a takeaway salad box and a sandwich to be collected later. Plus the cafe is dog friendly....

Arriving back at Brough station we had 20 mins to kill before our taxi would arrive, so called in at the end of the night hoping they'd still be open as it was chilly! We were in luck, the bar man said we'd just made it! It was quiet being late, but still felt really friendly and welcoming - the bar man was great, chatting to us while we drank at the bar. Definitely going to call in again for pre or post train drinks and maybe a meal!

Stuck a pin in a ( google) map to find a breakfast one hour away from leaving holiday accommodation. What a find. Interesting decor showed off the home made cakes and savouries whilst we waited a few minutes for a table. Breakfast avocado with poached eggs on sourdough bread, sun dried tomatoes, chorizo and pea shoots was divine and substantial. Staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed serving and cooking as much as we enjoyed eating. Make a detour. Worth every mile and every penny.
