Food was delicious and portion size was perfect.

Fantastic food with a great atmosphere! Excellent service and lovely staff! They made my husband’s birthday special with a birthday cake - thank you! Highly recommend especially with their weekday special set menu which is extraordinary value for such top notch food!

I am a fairly regular customer of theirs, as they are consistently able to provide great food with a friendly service. I have eaten in their restaurant but usually opt for takeaway due to being so close to home. prices are spot on for what they offer and portion sizes never change, even during their busiest periods (unlike some other establishments). If you are in the area, do yourself a favour and visit.

Live nearby, have bought from them before but this meal was absolutely terrible. All three curries we got were unbelievable sweet, the korma looking more like creamed corn. Go to coop next door and you will have a better experience.

Ordered a take away. Picked up and just really disappointing. No taste, everything was sweet, very odd chicken korma. Not very hot even though we live close by. Don't bother as a waste of money. You will get a better ready meal cross the road the co op. Def won't be back.

I've known Latif and his staff for several years and have dined in or takeaway countless times since I moved to the neighbouring village in 2020. Sizzling Plate is a car ride away since we're a collection of small villages, but it's worth it everytime for the authentic and beautiful food they serve.

When I walk into a restaurant and my feet stick to the carpet along with the aroma of a Fleetwood’s trawler toilet door I walk straight back out at pace. Avoid

Visited 3 times this week. Food exceptional. Taste and quality brilliant on each occasion. Staff very attentive and with a polite manner. As a coniseur of Indian food I would give this 100%.

We had a very enjoyable dinner here. We were able to walk straight in without booking, but the place seemed to fill up pretty quickly as the evening went on. The food was delicious - a little spicier than I like, but still really good. And good prices.

Had takeaway food from here whilst holidaying at nearby Weir Park. Staff very professional, polite and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. So good that we revisited during our stay and were not disappointed!

Table for 6. Service really good. Curry was nice, slightly on the mild side. Lovely naan bread, really light. Everything was piping hot and arrived quickly. Surprisingly they didnt serve non-alco beer. All in all, a nice dinner.

We like to stop here on our way back from the coast.

Tastleless , watery curry that resembles a few veggies and a can of tinned tomatos with 4 lumps of chicken in . Ive been going back to SP a few times as i tell my self it will improve. Dont bother.. this will be my last visit. Cold naan breads , cold rice and tastless curry. Pop over to the Co-op over the road. Get your self a ping curry it will be half the price and double the quality. Terrible.

Unfortunately I don’t learn so this was my second visit and at least they are consistent, terrible both times. late,tasteless,pickle doesn’t include popadoms, terrible service, worst “curry” I’ve ever had!

Been a customer for years but delighted that Sizzling Plate now have a great website on which to order online and get a delivery. Brilliant addition to our weekend evenings!

Ordered from them twice as we live 5 minutes away, both for collection. Its always a long wait time , 40-50 minutes but not an issue. But on both occasions the resteraunt has been a ghost town with 3 tables of customers, but we have arrived and still been waiting 20-25 minutes. I suspect they actually wait until you arrive and pay before starting to cook, as it doesn't take 1 hour 10 minutes to make a few curries. Especially as they are quite average and all tastes like they use the same starting gravy. Won't be wasting my time on a third trip.

Staff are very pleasant, atmosphere ok for a village Indian restaurant/Takeaway. Food is middle of the road, almost non descript. A little disappointed to have to walk through the fumes of the take away delivery driver vaping pipe as we walked in. Thursday night and he’s stood in the entrance vaping away , lovely!

Chicken dupiatser was tasteless and just like boiled tinned tomatoes and onion NO flavour and to also top it off the rice had a stale taste like it was made a while ago !!! Shame really as it was recommended !!

Visited here for a takeaway, was very disappointed. Chicken tikka very watery, chicken over cooked, garlic naan cold, keema rice was hard. Would not recommend and won’t be visiting again.

This review is for a carry out meal. Easy website with a traditional menu. Parking easy outside the restaurant in Stanford Bridge. Friendly staff and reasonably nice looking restaurant. Order was missing dips, salad. Several dishes looked and tasted the same. Overall just OK.

Just had a dine in meal tonight to celebrate my birthday. Service impeccable. Efficient, non intrusive. The meal was excellent. Tasty, hot and quick to arrive. Thank you.

When I'm staying in Stamford Bridge for the weekend I ALWAYS have a takeaway from here and that has been for a number of years now. It's always good food every time, looking forward to my next one!

Not the best I've had from here the onion bhaji was cold, curry was luke warm, chips cold, rice lumpy and cold and to top it off we got a bbq sauce instead of the mint we ordered. Not something I expect when I live a 2 minute drive away and how they got bbq and mint sauce mixed up I don't know it's in black and white. Other than that the taste of the curry was nice but I think the best bit was the salad :S

Ordered here for our holiday takeaway. Ordered through just eat and the order came straight from the kitchen exactly on time. The order was slightly wrong but the staff it brought it straight to our attention and offered to change it. We wouldn't have noticed it so great integrity The food was piping hot, very tasty and the proportions were bang on the money. Overall well done.

We ordered a takeaway from here and decided just to get a selection of starters. Firstly the order was accurate as in what we ordered was in the takeaway. The quality was really good and very filling. We ordered about 6 starters. Will definitely give it another go, hopefully they will be consistent in quality.The website is great for shopping the menu, however when you try and order through it, we couldn’t find anywhere to allow collection. It all seemed to be geared to delivery and of course the preverbal delivery charge.

Ordered a takeaway for collection. We are very particular with Indian food as it is very easy to get it wrong. Food was excellent each dish was different, rice was good, naan was good as was the mixed starter. Will definitley order again.

The food was good although the wife's karma looked a bit semolina pudding. My veg handi was tasty and my mother's mushroom rice was also very nice, but.....in these times of covid, they didn't seem to be aware of it. No masks were worn (apart from one) and no track and trace system in place. It took 3 attempts of asking to find it.Could do better

Moved into the village about a year ago and tried this place. Food terrible the first time. 6 months later gave them a second chance and literally within a hour had to run out of the patio doors to the garden and was sick, a lot of sick. So final chance today and my meal was cold, yes a takeout but we live less than 2 mins away, not even warm but stone cold. My partner well hers was warm but she’s non stop to the loo and not good at all. There will be no fourth try. If I could give minus 5 stars that would be too much. Shocking bad food and in our opinion given our experience two times now not the best in terms of it making us both poorly. Going to report to environmental health giving the experience we have had.

Me and my wife ordered after a flyer was posted through our door and as the restaurant is in the next village down. The order took 2 hours 20mins to come. The starter was cold. My wife wanted the Korma and what turned up was absolutely shambolic. The 'Korma' tasted like water with chicken and I've now got a very unhappy and hungry wife. £28 down the drain. Extremely disappointed. Don't waste your money with this place. Get a ping meal from the supermarket as it will be much better quality. Shocking!

Rang up for a takeaway, easily ordered, friendly guy on phone. Short wait time, my food was hot and ready. It was hot and flavoursome when I got home, not greasy at all (like other places). I would highly recommend Sizzling Plate to anyone. I will be ordering from them again.

Having got some fab meals from here previously unfortunately this time we were disappointed.We ordered at 6pm then at 7.30pm we got a call to say our food had been delivered to the wrong address...we understand mistakes are made so this wasn't a problem. Finally the food arrived at 8.20pm and it was cold.

The menu is diverse and one of my favourite. Dishes to suit all palates. Staff are friendly and prices are very reasonable. Portions are awesome. Will go back again and again

Lovely takeaway and delivered very promptly! After I mentioned when ordering that we were self isolating & asked for the food to be left on the doorstep, the delivery driver called to see if we needed anything else picking up from the shops. That's the kind of community spirit needed during a pandemic!

Absolutely amazing food and very cheap

Never had a bad meal here but some have been a bit samey in the past. We stopped by tonight and had one of the best meals I've had in my life. Naan and rice were perfect and the curries were dry, spicy and delicious as described on the menu. It's no exaggeration when I say that this was a perfect meal, great food, perfect portion sizes and faultless staff. We had the murgh rajhastani and sytheti chicken which were fantastic but the masala fish has to be the pick of the menu for me.

I have been to quite a few Indian Restaurants. The Sizzling Plate has one of the most versatile menu's I have seen. An awesome variety of dishes that cater for all dietary needs. Portion sizes are great and the pricing is average. Service with a smile. Love the food.

I have never had such a terrible Indian - the sauces are bland and completely the same in every dish - sloppy watery and extremely oily - swimming through the whole dish - pancake like naan and greasy bland rice - tried this place 3 times now hoping for improvement as it is the only indian nearest to us - straight in the bin.. do not bother

We were staying close by and went Into the village for dinner. From the outside the restaurant doesn’t look too enticing but once in we were welcomed by the staff and it is lovely. The service was excellent and we asked a couple of questions about some of the dishes as the menu was different to our usual place at home. The info was very useful and we loved our chosen dishes. Would absolutely recommend and would return!

Had a great takeaway from here and paid for delivery, really impressed with the quality of dishes. However when we ordered for a second time and again paid for delivery we found that they had charged us, but forgotten part of the order and dint have time to RECTIFY IT! The dishes were warm at best and one of the main prawn courses had 2 king prawns in it, yes 2 king prawns! WOW!!!! just when we thought they were getting better, they’ve dropped of a cliff edge again!

Great, friendly Indian. The best guys ever working there. Been going every week for the last three & a half years. Hooked on their meat samosas- ohhhhhh, the pastry - de-li-cious. Fab dishes. Love it!

Usually a very high standard of food, however my 2 previous visits , Masala fish batter rock hard and hardly any fish inside, Chips way overdone and TMG soogy. However the young lads are very friendly 1.

very shocked to see this as 5 stars maybe unlucky. i have visited in total 3 times and each time i have wanted it to be right. Very busy but still excellent service and food.

This Indian restaurant in Stamford Bridge doesn't look that inviting from outside but inside is much better. The choice of food is excellent and the waiters are friendly and efficient. We have been three times for a meal with friends and the fact that you can take your own wine makes the cost very reasonable. Never been disapointed.They also do takeaways but it is advisable to book as it is very popular at weekends

We've been a couple of times recently and have really enjoyed it. The food is good and the atmosphere nice and relaxed. Pickle tray is particularly good and the naans and rice too. However, the absolute best is the mixed starter in both quantity and quality. It includes a masala fish ( a battered fish) which is not something I would normally order but it is delicious. They occasionally have an offer on Mondays and Thursdays so it's worth calling to see if it's on, it's a great was of sampling more of the menu than just ordering your go-to curry. Staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Me and my girlfriend tried this place last night and as a big curry lover it’s perfect! Although running late for our reservation we got seated straight away.Very modern, small restaurant with a great atmosphere! Staff all seemed very friendly and happy to talk about different items on the menu.Although me and my girlfriend ordered dishes that weren’t on the menu they were happy to put them together and they were delicious!I love the family naan bread presentation it’s certainly a wow factor and anybody who saw it come past the table would instantly want to order one! I had a lamb chilli masala and although it wasn’t on the menu was very tasty and the spice wasn’t too over powering and went really well with the lamb! The only thing I have to say is the ceiling is a little low and I banged my head on the way out but it was just me being clumsy as per usual and gave people something to laugh at haha! However I am freakishly tall so suppose it’s my own fault.Well done I think this will be my new Friday night restaurant! Thank you to all the staff for putting up with me but you have got a new regular customer - well done!

So nice. Good prices. In fact, really nice. Filled up restaurant by 7pm. Suggest you book. Bringing home a doggy bag and i love a good feast..got loads for your money. Definitely will call in again if ever passing that way.

Booked for the Sizzling plate because of a friends recommendation, we visited on a Friday evening 7.30, greeted by a friendly waiter, the restaurant was comfortably half full, we ordered the sizzling patter for a starter to share, which arrived timely and was very good, a tasty portion to share then we had a lamb and spinach and a prawn dish both really good. But what made the meal was the service very friendly and polite, definitely visit again and found out they also deliver takeaway to the neighboring villages, brilliant!

Great service and lovely food ordered chicken korma and cheese Paneer and beautiful rice with garlic Naan bread really enjoyed the food! The price was very reasonable and when I visited the ladies very clean which is always reassuring in a restaurant! Will definitely be returning

I have been here several times and have never had a bad meal. The food is well cooked and really tasty. It was Saturday night and the place was packed which did mean we had to wait a while for the food but to be honest this tells me everything is cooked fresh. Thanks guys. We shall be back.

Went to the Sizzling Plate with friends and apart from being a little chilly when we arrived the whole experience was exceptional. The service was excellent by friendly and attentive staff and the food freshly cooked. To be honest one of if not the best Indian meals we have ever had, would highly recommend.

Great food with generous servings very reasonably priced. Staff friendly and very helpful. Ask for something different and they are pleased to help!

Went here because of the good reviews but it was awful, never had such a bad Indian meal tasteless and bland!
