We have just recently moved to the village and tonight we have ordered a takeaway due to been far too tired to cook. Absolutely lovely five star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Staff so friendly and polite, everything we ordered tasted fresh and the chicken was tasty no nasty bits 😋.. Thank you we will definitely be coming back ....

Ever been to Stamford Bridge? (No not the Chelsea football ground!!) Sizzling plate in Stamford Bridge is well worth a visit Great service great food The waiter was knowledgeable and engaging,advising on what the best dishes to order were and making recommendations! Will definitely come here again!! So should you!!

Good food, delivered on time, but rude shouty delivery guy who complained that I live close to the restaurant

We ordered a take away and it was lovely! There were 5 of us and there wasn’t a bad word to say. Fast delivery, all food was fresh and so hot! Highly recommended.

I recently visited this place as i heard about it being very good and it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming, ensuring my order was taken promptly despite the busy rush. Everything was clean and organised, such a lovely environment. The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly fresh and made with care I 100% recommend Mariya Special and Hamid special as they were wonderful.

Dumped outside reception only knew cause I rung to find out where the food was!! No salad with starters, pakoras were lovely, shish kebabs dry as owt! Yet to eat the curry! Need to reheat before we do! Make your own assumptions/ decisions. Never us d before… not sure if will need to use again if in area!!

We’ve eaten here so many times over the years. Never had a bad experience yet. Great Staff, Great Food, Cold Beer. Better than any Curry we’ve ever had around the Country…. Even Birmingham.

Ordered a takeaway from this restaurant. It Was exceptional quality and they delivered within the promised time. Would recommend and will certainly be ordering again.

Ordered a delivery, from ordering to food arriving took 16 minutes, something not right there!!! Curry bland, seekh kebabs very dry. I asked the guy on the phone for something spicy and authentic, ended up with a garlic chilli chicken!

Awful food, the meat has clearly been defrosted minutes after the order came through. Watery and flavourless. 50% chance of order being cancelled for no reason.

Really poor quality food, curry was heavily watered down as if had been frozen and defrosted. Chips was a tiny portion and were cold. Naan bread was also cold and had no flavour. Disappointing.

Worst customer service, neither the server nor the chef how to talk to customers. Behaving differently with customers because of race or appearance. You deny what I am requesting is your right but assuming that we don’t know what we are ordering is absolutely not acceptable.

This restaurant was wonderful. It was my first time dining here and the value for money was incredible. The service was wonderful with very friendly helpful staff. The food was delicious I couldn't get enough which is great because the was plenty ! Will definitely visit again!

Received a phone call from the restaurant basically trying to get out of delivering to my current address. However, food was delivered on time. As for the food itself very bland and disappointing in general.

Food was absolutely disgusting the korma was watery by far the worst Indian restaurant in the surrounding area. To top it off the delivery driver was incredibly rude and took it upon himself to scream and shout at me as he couldn’t find the house he should be ashamed of his behaviour. Safe to say I will never ! Be ordering from this place again. And I discourage anyone else to also.

The food was okay, just a little bland. The chicken balti recipe seems to have changed, was full of lentils.

I am a fairly regular customer of theirs, as they are consistently able to provide great food with a friendly service. I have eaten in their restaurant but usually opt for takeaway due to being so close to home. prices are spot on for what they offer and portion sizes never change, even during their busiest periods (unlike some other establishments). If you are in the area, do yourself a favour and visit.

Live nearby, have bought from them before but this meal was absolutely terrible. All three curries we got were unbelievable sweet, the korma looking more like creamed corn. Go to coop next door and you will have a better experience.

Ordered a take away. Picked up and just really disappointing. No taste, everything was sweet, very odd chicken korma. Not very hot even though we live close by. Don't bother as a waste of money. You will get a better ready meal cross the road the co op. Def won't be back.

I've known Latif and his staff for several years and have dined in or takeaway countless times since I moved to the neighbouring village in 2020. Sizzling Plate is a car ride away since we're a collection of small villages, but it's worth it everytime for the authentic and beautiful food they serve.

When I walk into a restaurant and my feet stick to the carpet along with the aroma of a Fleetwood’s trawler toilet door I walk straight back out at pace. Avoid

Visited 3 times this week. Food exceptional. Taste and quality brilliant on each occasion. Staff very attentive and with a polite manner. As a coniseur of Indian food I would give this 100%.

We had a very enjoyable dinner here. We were able to walk straight in without booking, but the place seemed to fill up pretty quickly as the evening went on. The food was delicious - a little spicier than I like, but still really good. And good prices.

Had takeaway food from here whilst holidaying at nearby Weir Park. Staff very professional, polite and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. So good that we revisited during our stay and were not disappointed!

Table for 6. Service really good. Curry was nice, slightly on the mild side. Lovely naan bread, really light. Everything was piping hot and arrived quickly. Surprisingly they didnt serve non-alco beer. All in all, a nice dinner.

We like to stop here on our way back from the coast.

Tastleless , watery curry that resembles a few veggies and a can of tinned tomatos with 4 lumps of chicken in . Ive been going back to SP a few times as i tell my self it will improve. Dont bother.. this will be my last visit. Cold naan breads , cold rice and tastless curry. Pop over to the Co-op over the road. Get your self a ping curry it will be half the price and double the quality. Terrible.

Unfortunately I don’t learn so this was my second visit and at least they are consistent, terrible both times. late,tasteless,pickle doesn’t include popadoms, terrible service, worst “curry” I’ve ever had!

Food was tasteless and the curry had no spice or flavour, will not buy food from here again. The meat in the curry was sparse and way too much sauce, very disappointing and not cheap, was not value for money

Third time this restaurant has delivered 45 mins - late Quality not great and prices increased dramatically . This order had damaged and missing side order of popadoms To be honest I do not think we will be using this service again which is a shame as we have been using the Sizzling Plate for a number of years 😢

Outstanding food, friendly staff willing to help and no wait for order - defo recommend

Ordered from them twice as we live 5 minutes away, both for collection. Its always a long wait time , 40-50 minutes but not an issue. But on both occasions the resteraunt has been a ghost town with 3 tables of customers, but we have arrived and still been waiting 20-25 minutes. I suspect they actually wait until you arrive and pay before starting to cook, as it doesn't take 1 hour 10 minutes to make a few curries. Especially as they are quite average and all tastes like they use the same starting gravy. Won't be wasting my time on a third trip.

And most of it was cold when it was delivered

Food was very tasteless and bland. The curry’s were really watery and tasteless. The naan bread was not a peshwari naan, it was just plain. Very disappointed and annoyed to say I spent over £30 for a disgusting meal.

Food banging as always! Highly recommended the garlic mushrooms.. but knky if you like loads of garlic!

Cold food, pieces of someone elses poppadom in our rice!!!! Rice was in clumps. Chicken bhuna dish is tomato based, no tomatoes at all and tasted very bland.

I live nearby and on special occasions head to Sizzling plate for a take away. I particularly like their onion bhajees

Staff are very pleasant, atmosphere ok for a village Indian restaurant/Takeaway. Food is middle of the road, almost non descript. A little disappointed to have to walk through the fumes of the take away delivery driver vaping pipe as we walked in. Thursday night and he’s stood in the entrance vaping away , lovely!

Chicken dupiatser was tasteless and just like boiled tinned tomatoes and onion NO flavour and to also top it off the rice had a stale taste like it was made a while ago !!! Shame really as it was recommended !!

Visited here for a takeaway, was very disappointed. Chicken tikka very watery, chicken over cooked, garlic naan cold, keema rice was hard. Would not recommend and won’t be visiting again.

This review is for a carry out meal. Easy website with a traditional menu. Parking easy outside the restaurant in Stanford Bridge. Friendly staff and reasonably nice looking restaurant. Order was missing dips, salad. Several dishes looked and tasted the same. Overall just OK.

When I'm staying in Stamford Bridge for the weekend I ALWAYS have a takeaway from here and that has been for a number of years now. It's always good food every time, looking forward to my next one!

Not the best I've had from here the onion bhaji was cold, curry was luke warm, chips cold, rice lumpy and cold and to top it off we got a bbq sauce instead of the mint we ordered. Not something I expect when I live a 2 minute drive away and how they got bbq and mint sauce mixed up I don't know it's in black and white. Other than that the taste of the curry was nice but I think the best bit was the salad :S
