Trishna Tandoori in East Riding of Yorkshire

Food was ok, spicy Lanka piyaza was great. Some curries had unidentifiable cheese but it was not paneer. Man serving us however seemed to really want us out. Not the best customer service

We have just had the best curry by far. Bradford born and bred. Well done Trishna for listening to us. We will be back. Xxx thank you for making us feel at home. X

Very bad service in this restaurant

Iv been going to this restaurant since I was little and I wpukd always always get the Mild Khema, best reteraunt iv ever been to.Service is not speedy but still pretty fast and the staff are really sweet. IT IS GORGOUSE INSIDE! so pretty and lots of space aswell as toilet and an upstairs. Highly recommend you go!

Food nice however,ordered special Jalfrezi, no Prawns as advertised! You pay extra for the special only to be had over!Order promised at 5.40pm as i had another order to pick up before nearby, 15 minutes late! Food i had collected was cold stood waiting here. Poor service. Will not go back.

first visit for a while and will be the last i deff think it had a change of management/staff. the service was appalling and staff were more interested in serving the people that came in for takeaways than looking after the customers actually eating in. having being ignored for over 40 mins to even order a drink .. the host with his "i will be with you in 1 minute"line he said a million times eventually came and took our order as soon as he did so the phone went yet again and he answered that a fair few times before our drinks arrived. i appreciate it was a saturday evening and this once lovely restuarant will be busy ...but there were only 3 tables of dining guests which were all ignored by the staff many times. we had booked a table for a birthday meal with family and was almost 3 hours before we left the place. the food wasnt awful , but would say average at best. would not recommend to anyone, deff gone down hill since we last visited and its a shame as it was so nice.

Food nice however, i ordered a Special Jalfrezi curry which should contain meat & Prawns, Prawns were missing!! Not a single Prawn in sight and you pay extra for the special. Order was 15 minutes later than agreed collection time resulting in other food i collected nearby was cold whilst i waited. Even though they promised 1740 pickup and i had ordered on opening at 5pm Would not use this Takeaway again for these 2 reasons.

Excellent, excellent, and excellent! From the moment we arrived, it was a pleasant experience. Abdul Rob makes you welcome with a banter I enjoyed. He guided and advised us through the menu. We selected and asked for extra fresh chilli, which he accommodated. This small, unassuming restaurant turns out the most amazing dishes. The chef with the magic touch is Miah. A talented chef with a control and balance of flavours. My Trishna Tandoori experience was very memorable because of the food. It's a must visit if you like Indian food. It's not on my high street . It was delicious and very reasonably priced.

Excellent service and cuisine. My friend got special jalfrezi with a tonne of delicious side dishes, while I had a pecial achar. Excellent value as well. Being a wonderful little restaurant, it is undoubtedly the greatest in Driffield. Highly recommend

The service tonight was appalling, one man to answer telephone for orders and the same man taking orders for the restaurant, his favourite word just one minute please, now I no it’s under new management and everyone deserves a chance but tonight was unbelievable, the food wasn’t much better one good meal out of three we ordered, we had been sat at a table 45 mins before our drinks arrived, after I complained about the food he even said just one minute and walked off… Definitely not somewhere I would eat or recommend to friends

Meal for four people last night in trishna hello, food was absolutely gorgeous all four of us could not fault the food,hot ,fresh tasted amazing the staff were great, so attentive without being overly fussy. The prices are reasonable, the overall bill really reasonable definitely recommend .

This place is shocking, the toilets are a disgrace, the walls in the restaurant stained and what is with the plastic on the stair carpets! The poppadums tasted like they had been cooked in old oil and the curries were inedible, over sweet and tasteless and it felt uncomfortable eating in such unclean surroundings. There was a big party in there being generally loud, swearing and ruining peoples night and nothing was said to them by staff even when an older lady asked them to stop swearing, they replied with some neanderthal grunt before finally one of them left swearing loudly at i think his mother then proceeded to smash a bottle outside, which an elderly man attempted to pick up just as a car drove over it. Staff should have intervened at such awful behaviour at the cost of other peoples evening. We will definitely not be returning.

Great food and service. I had a Special Chicken Jalfrezi and my partner had chicken chum chum with a load of tasty side dishes. All washed down with a couple of cobra. Good price too. A tad quiet for a Saturday which is a shame as it is such a great little restaurant. Certainly the best in Driffield.

Quiet, but it was just 18:00. Only one in there. Lots of takeaway orders going out of the door. Mixed kebab and mint sauce (very nice). Chicken Tikka Pathia and Keema rice with a peshwari naan. Nom nom all gone. All in all decent service and rice. I'd go back next time in Driffield

Probably wouldn't rush to come back here but would if there was no where else available. Food was nice. Service was fast. Staff could have been friendly. Fizzy drinks were flat. Restaurant and toilet earlier seemed old and dirty. Had to pay by cash and weren't aware of this until after the meal

Just discovered that some of their dishes have been removed from their menu. Shame really but still plenty of choice.

Very welcoming and friendly staff, courses are all made fresh and you are given the time to enjoy each one of them. I have eaten here a few times and each time it's been excellent. A few minor recommendations. Please give the restrooms a lick of paint as they look run down. If you could ask our spice preference when ordering, that would be excellent as although the food was very tasty, it could have been a bit more spicy for my tastes. Other than that, you guys do a fantastic job. Your probably the best takeaway in Driffield. We will be back!

Food was good and very fresh , small restaurant , good service and lovely owner . Only downside for us was extremely loud table so no chance to even hear quiet indian music which we would have enjoyed and be able to talk on our table .

Food was excellent, plenty of it, reasonable price and enough for a doggy bag. Only downside was being asked to drink up at 9.45 as it closed at 10pm on a Saturday which we found a little early. Nice small friendly restaurant though.

Never had a bad experience here. The staff are lovely, very friendly and willing to expain what the dishes are if you are unsure. The service is quick, welcoming and you never feel rushed. We also get food to go from here and again ive never been dissapointed.

The food was excellent, 1st class and adequate portions BUT the restaurant itself was so scruffy and dirty which is the only reason we won't be returning. Given this place has a complete refurbishment it could be a little goldmine for the owners.

Just tried to get at table for 3 says on Web site closes at 22.00 it was 8.50 and said he was closing the place was nearly full will never go back how rude. False advertisement, will go to other venues in future

Very good food. Portion size good couldn't finish rice. Service excellent and good value for money normally pay £10 more at other Indian restaurants. Would recommend and would visit again if in area. Unfortunately live too far away being from Tyneside! Visited area for a family function. Booking is advised as it is very busy.

This was the best chicken buna I’ve had in years. The chapatis were hot & light in texture, lovely. Next time I pass through Driffield, I’ll be calling in and trying a different dish. I’m sure it will be as good. Service was good & restaurant was clean & tidy.

Impromptu visit after the restaurant was recommended to us and so glad we made the trip . We ordered two main meals a mixed meat biryani a mixed meat saag and a garlic naan . The food was really good perfectly spiced the rice was perfect and the accompanying vegetable curry sauce with the biryani had plenty of vegetables in it the naan was so fluffy one of the best I have eaten all were decent size portions . Another plus for me all were piping hot freshly cooked and were served on hot plates . I think we were lucky to get a seat as the restaurant quickly filled up after we arrived at 6:30 . Staff were friendly and I observed takeaway customers were dealt with quickly as once they had details of order and payment taken the restaurant staff were taking food out to their cars which meant they were not hanging around the reception area ( I thought this was good practice especially re Covid ) . We don’t live near but will definitely return when we are in the area .

Great little restaurant, the food was the best I’ve eaten in a Indian restaurant, absolutely lovely with great flavours. Manager and waiter really friendly and helpful. Very good prices also. Whenever we’re in the area again we will be definitely making a return visit!

We called late, we're advised very clearly of the times due to the need to cook the food. WE arrived just in time, were great well and seated in the small, very clean and friendly dining area. The food arrived in good time, and was excellent. Good flavours, well presented and in a professional manner.

Turned 4 of us away at 950pm on a Sat night with empty tables can't understand don't they want customers been there last 5 years won't bother them again

Our food wasn't ready to collect at the allocated time and we had to wait 20 minutes but it was well worth it as the food was amazing. Good quality, authentic, home-cooked flavours. Would order from here again. Staff were apogetic and polite.

The food was incredibly tasty, clearly very very well cooked - not your average curry house slop. However, you have to be prepared to wait for your food. There are continents moving faster towards one another than the speed of service here.

Absolutley the best Indian we have had in a long time. We had chicken tikka masala which was gorgeous, a chicken pathia which was just as lovely. The Naan breads were fresh and delicious, and the rice was beautifully fragrant and good. I've lived in and around driffield a long time and I don't know why we waited so long to try. The gentleman was ever so lovely to talk to, over all I highly reccomend this place. Next time we will book to dine in and have a nice meal with great hosts as company.

I love this place!! this is the only curry house where I have actually deviated from my usual and been more adventurous and it has always been excellent!! You can just tell that everything is freshly prepared, great portions (usually does me two meals when we have takeaway) and all of the staff are just lovely, highly recommend, best in Driff by far!!

Food was absolutely excellent, as always. Hadn't had a takeaway in a long time, forgot how delicious it was. Service was outstanding as always, felt very comfortable as they were following the government guidelines excellently regarding COVID.

An evening takeaway during lockdown and all went well. There was a slight hitch, in that one of the dishes was incorrect, but this was rectified within a few mins. The food was good the prices were reasonable. To be recommended!

Pre booked a table of 4 for family food was excellent and staff were pleasent and helpful,papers s to fill out when entering upoun arrival and departure, we were upstairs so there was a few tables distanced due to the covid situation, would recommend and will defo go back

Well first of all I would like to say,the food is amazing. Very reasonable prices. When I found out the restaurant was reopening , was excited to book a table . Was only their second night . Arrived and shown to our table . People coming and going , not too bad. Was told to be patient with them ,no problem ,we were not too bothered about the waiting time. Did take a long time for the starters to arrive but not a big problem. Then the place started to fill up. Didn’t realise they were serving takeaways. At one point, there were approx 15 people around our table ,some resting on my husbands chair back. Didn’t like that. Then we got the drunks complete with foul language. Was so deafening, we couldn’t talk. Finally got our main meal . By that time we were surround by lots of people. No social distancing. All looking at us as we ate our meal. Was terrible . When asked if every thing was ok, I told him no. Didn’t like an audience watching us eat. They did apologise and made most of them wait outside but the damage was done. It’s either a takeaway or it’s a restaurant, doesn’t work both together. They obviously are getting by on the takeaway side ,good for them. My husband said later,we should have walked out .Would love to go back when eventually we get back to normal. Such a shame.

Phoned for a take away ,45 minute wait ok set off expecting the usual extra 5 minutes but oh no not this time went through the door and joined a queue ,thought I was waiting for a bus but even there not this late, another 45 minutes later and my order finally arrived yeaha but no apology and to top it all off when I got home the food was cold, I love a Goodall reheated masterchef takeaway, I trashed the menu and wont be going back cheers for wasteing 2 hours of my life well impressed.

Quality of food here is always good and great value for money. Just one problem this time. Poppadoms were soft instead of crispy but was replaced immediately. Nice wine at a great price.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Brilliant atmosphere in a cosy resteraunt. The food was phenomenal and the staff were out of this world. Genuine, approachable, welcoming and happy to have a laugh. I still want the full recipe for that sauce!

Been going here for 17 years. Lovely friendly family run restaurant. You can get takeaway too. Everything cooked fresh. Consistently very good food. Totally outshines most other Indians I've ever been to.

Spot on. Lovely. Best in all East Yorkshire! Probably. Nice house red wine great appetisers - best pickle tray imaginable and fabulous main. Got squiffy. Enjoyed a long and scrumptious meal. The wine was so agreeable we had to have two bottles! Service perfect.

Travelling back from the coast we stopped in Driffield for a meal. I was a bit apprehensive looking at the outside appearance as it didn’t look the cleanest. We were hungry so decided to give it a try, the small restaurant on the ground floor was full with around 15-20 people in so we were taken upstairs to the overflow. The poppadoms and dips were ok if a little oily. The chicken balti lacked a depth of flavour compared to most other restaurants. The chicken tikka was good and the chicken cooked well and fresh.The waiting staff were, mainly young lads were polite if a little inexperienced. The ground floor kitchen serves the 1st floor via a propped up ladder system where waiters have to climb it and hold a door open whilst chef lifts the food tray up to them, a sight to behold but I’m not sure how the EHO would look upon this as it looks dangerous.The toilets are filthy so be warned!!

Not as wonderful as the last visit... It must have been an excess of alcohol with dun it! Still enjoyable though. 👍

This place has become my favourite restaurant in Driffield. The food is amazing and value for money, it certainly is. Set menu is great and nice cold wine. Didn’t know how they were going to get all the food on the table. Also do take aways which I didn’t know about. Would recommend this place but book to get a table.

Got a takeaway and it was just average but I was not impressed at all I could have made a better job myself according to my wife!

Having tried elsewhere that evening but walked out because of no licence to sell alcohol we stumbled across TrishnaIt looked busy when we walked in but there wernt many tables in this small roomWe were told we could sit in the upstairs restaurant which was large and more tradionally Indian, howevre we were alone all evening a bit strangeThe young lad that served us did a fantastic job in looking after us and was very very polite.We felt slightly left out and luckily we like plenty of time between courses alas others may have complained about the timespanCouldn't fault the food extremely nice just a small complaint the peswari nan was ok but a bit plain tastingThe young lad said we could pay downstairs when we're ready so we left him a tip on the table however paying was awkward standing between 2 tables while others were eating. Certainly wouldn't want to sit at those 2 tablesLeft without the manager saying thanks or goodbyeWill I return errrr noThe yong lad told us we should pay

Their food is very good. Service good . in fact all very good. But the toilets are terrible. They need a very good deep clean to start with. A shame because I would of given 5 stars.

We went here for our works Christmas meal and it was pretty good taste-wise ans the staff friendly and helpful to a point. The problem was one of our group ordered fish but got duck which he said was stringy and they would not change it, so he only ate the rice. However it was deducted from the bill after he complained.

Whilst this place may be small the service and food was excellent. The staff were friendly and the food was well cooked and delicious.
