Absolutely fantastic food, ordered from here yesterday food was all fresh, delivery was brilliant, we definitely order from here again thank you jolsh x

Food was beautiful apart from the onion bhajis they was burnt but apart from that everything was really nice and tasty

I have started leaving reviews on Google and I am very happy to leave this one. I have left reviews on other sites for Jolsha as I am blown away that we are so lucky to have this takeaway locally. My first order was placed around 8-10 years ago. I ordered a Madras, it was amazing, before I had finished it I ordered another. Yes, what? Never done that before. Next day, ordered another, next day ordered another. Next day wife had a face like a bag of spanners at the thought of eating another Indian takeaway. So had to eat something grotty while thinking about King Prawn Madras, sad day. To give a little more info I have to add that I travelled a lot in my younger years and my meal of choice was an Indian meal. We are talking about highly regarded restaurants, my favourites being in Edinburgh & Leicester. To find the calibre of the food produced by Jolsha on my doorstep is a dream come true. I can order it and eat at home without worrying that I am going to be sat next to a table with Roger and Trevor shouting about how good they are at rugger 🙄. Bottom line is I have ordered from here at least every fortnight (wife problems again, if I could I would have it a couple of times a week) for the last 8-10 years and never ever, not once, not even just a little bit have I been disappointed. If you are a lover of deep flavoured Indian meals, order. Wish I was Victor Kiam, I love this place so much I would give you your money back if you did not. Enjoy, no need to thank me.

Ordered a takeout . Different dishes . Just chicken pieces in a sauce . Not a curry at all and the different dishes had exactly the same sauce . What load of crap parading as a Indian takeaway

Awful ! I have never had a Pasanda that was so unbelievably loaded with red food colouring! It almost glowed and was thrown in the bin. A Pasanda is normally a yellowy / brown colour. The Biriani was very average too. There was little decent meat (a special) and was full of what I think was some sort of kebab….but it was like broken up beef burger. I rang to complain about the food colouring and they weren’t concerned in the slightest! I will never use them again. Very poor.

Food is absolutely amazing I only have ever use Jolsha for an Indian takeaway but what I am really disappointed with is every order the poppadoms are soggy and not edible or they are stale this is something that needs looking at and correcting x

Very average chicken Kashmir’s with pickle tray and 3 popadoms£12.70 delivered. Chicken a bit stringy and Luke warm . Won’t be venturing back again .

AMAZING!! Staying in the hotel up the road, and read the good reviews, so decided to try it out. Ive now just finished polishing my order off, and have to say that every dish was fantastic - even the pilau rice was so light, it was all top notch. From the service at the counter, to the packaging of my order, i could not fault a single thing . . . And it was a bonus not having to pay 'Down South' prices! Hope i can stay in the area again😋

Thought it had improved, but terrible again unfortunately. I love an Indian and luckily work in Bradford who know how to cook and more importantly value for money!

Best Indian by far. So tasty and they are so accommodating as I have allergies and they make dishes to suit. Not too pricey either and get good portion sizes. Exceptional service also and very friendly from person who takes the order to the delivery driver.

Jolsha is a wonderful place. Been going for years and the food don’t miss. Sister even liked her vegetarian vegan curry. Goes decently spicy and curries are also good when not spicy.

Recently had a takeaway, namely a Beef Biryani, which was the best I have ever tasted! Also, added at no extra cost was a poppadum & dips starter which was absolutely delicious. Cannot praise the quantity, quality & price enough......

Looking to try somewhere different from our norm given there's not much choice available with us being out in the sticks. Checked out a certain food delivery website and came across Jolsha in Hessle. Made the best decision of the day and ordered tea from them. Driver turned up early, was polite and to cap it off the food was stunning. Thank you, we will definitely be ordering from you again.

Our first choice for Indian food.

Would have liked food delivered earlier as we had over an hour wait. But it wasn’t late and it was a Saturday night so can it ever come quick enough? Apart from the second you press order! Couldn’t fault it.

We ordered a takeaway from them, knowing that we always pay around £22.00, however we ordered two weeks ago and the bill was £30.00. If I would have gone to the door I would not have paid and sent the guy away. My point is they are over charging during difficult times. It’s taken me two weeks to put this on as I don’t usually put bad reviews on.

Food was ok once I soaked up all the excess oil from the sauce and fished out the whole garlic cloves before biting into them. Arrived 15 mins late with items missing. When phoned to request the missing items as it is only half a mile away (I'm aware I could've just picked it up) we were given the option of credit for our next order (quite unlikely) or to have it re-sent. 30 mins later, still no sign so phoned back to cancel. Told next time we order we will get that one and another free one. Next order is still unlikely. Would've preferred money back which wasnt offered. Would also consider it to have been over priced.

Collected a takeaway on new years eve - staff where lovely polite and very helpful - even though they were rushed off their feet and extremely busy - the phone never stopped ringing and the poor guy was obviously getting some abuse over deliveries ! But come on people what do you expect for new years eve - give them some credit! Meal was gorgeous really tasty and hot plus free pickles tray extra ! Would def use again!! Thankyou ! *****

Right where do I start firstly we ordered a take away due to there internet was not working ( busy ) so we ordered and said be over an hour we waited and 1hr 50 minutes had passed and so we rang up and said would be on next delivery !! How long ?? So another 50 minutes had passed so I rang them up and they said it’s on it’s way but not sure how long ..... but wow so it’s 2hrs 40 minutes and they still don’t know what a joke I do not recommend and the guy on phone wasn’t pleasant really ( young lads working ) so we cancelled and got a Chinese within 30 minutes

We had an excellent take-away on New Year’s Eve from our local Indian take-away, Jolsha on Prestongate. This was the first time we had used Jolsha (we usually have Chinese on NYE but decided to have a change) but had heard quite a few recommendations for Jolsha. I had already picked up a menu as we only live 5 minutes walk away, so we phoned our order through and then picked it up 20 minutes later. We ordered a few different curries and different types of rice and naan breads to share between 4 of us. I particularly enjoyed the king prawn passanda and coconut rice as I prefer milder curries, although there was a lot of sauce! Prices were average compared to other take-aways. We will definitely use Jolsha again.

This my local Indian takeaway and has never disappointed. I order via the just eat app and they deliver within 30 minutes. If your looking for great flavour, service and reasonable prices, you can't really go wrong.

We have ordered an Indian meal from here to be delivered a few times.The food has been excellent and has never disappointed. Onion bajhis fab.We love the beef bhuna and peas rice.The nanns are the best I have tasted in the area.we have ordered via an app and within 20mins of ordering our foodis fresh and piping hot with 3 free popadoms.One delivery driver was a young man and my husband was really impressed with his smiley polite manner.Thanks Jolsha for some fab service and food.

Me and my partner ordered takeaway from here on Just Eat last month. We ordered, chicken kashmiri £5.70peshwari naan £2.80pickle tray with 2 poppadoms £3.502x poppadoms spicy £1.40prawn pasanda £5.95keema rice £2.95prawn bhaji and puri £3.60The food arrived at least 15 minutes before the expected delivery time and the gentleman who delivered it was very friendly.I decided to try the chicken kashmiri for my main. I have previously had a kashmiri curry at another restaurant in the East Riding, and I thought it was absolutely delicious. I loved the taste of the banana. The poppadoms were too well done as you can see from the pictures, but everything else (apart from the lime pickle, the thick brown paste that came with the pickle tray.) was tasty.I would order from here again.

We don't usually have Indian takeaway as we make our own curries but we sampled Jolsha after recommendations from friends. Fresh, tasty and non greasy which are what I look for in Indian food. Probably one of the best takeaway meals we have ever had. We will definitely use again, outstanding.

Food ok, but I ordered a "fish" curry. To my surprise i received a curry with tinned fish, mackerel I think. The point is, when you order a fish curry you expect fresh fish not a tin of mackerel thrown into a curry with a couple of green chills. Sorry but this really spoilt it for me.

Extremely oily, very odd choice of vegetables (who puts red peppers in a curry), and the deal was runny like water you could hardly find a lentil in there. Also the chicken was rubbery. Never ever again.

I never usually leave feedback but I had to this time. after ordering a set meal for two I asked to change a couple of items.........this was my first time for this restaurant. My delivery was on time by a very polite man. The order was hot and had everything I asked for including the changes. With it being a set meal I thought the portions would be small as they are on set meals in most take aways this was not the case here big portions...... last thing I can say is WOW restaurant quality food very tasty, hot and delivered. my best experience yet of take away food. Added to my favourites list for sure.

Tasted ok, the tikka masala was too sweet and also cold when it got to us even though the delivery was quick so seems like we just got what was left as it was close to closing and they didn't bother making sure it was hot. Had to reheat it in the microwave as it was too cold to eat! Very expensive for what you actually get.

Really prompt service. I rate myself as a bit of a Indian food conessieur. I love really spicy food, but want to taste other spices within the sauce, not just chilli. My beef vindaloo was delicious. Spicy, thick flavoursome curry sauce with fresh herbs and spices. Beef melted in my mouth. The delivery chap was very friendly and arrived in good time. Will definitely be using again.

Best thing about this place was the poppadoms and sauces curry bland and same taste ... 2 different curry's. L nan bread was like a flipflop other then that great night in. P.s deleted number . Other people's reviews should go to Bradford have a decent curry .

A poor meal from Jolsha on this order. A regular to this takeaway and usually a very tasty and highly satisfying meal. However over recent weeks the food quality has certainly gone down a few levels and this particular meal has a very under cooked onion bhaji and a very watery Chicken Tikka Masala. I'm fast going off this takeaway and hope this review is not only informative to other users but also a warning to the owner. This takeaway needs to get back to where it once was.

Very average takeaway. Very bland tikka masala, and curry spilt all over the bag. They forgot our onion bhajis and when I rang they said it'd take ages for them to deliver and the only alternative we were given was to add onion bhajis to our order next time we order from them and we'd get them for free, shame I won't ever be ordering from here again.
