Seven Spices in East Riding of Yorkshire

Nice restaurant and the food was pretty good however nearly an hour for our food to come out when we were the only people in the restaurant isn't good. They said they had staffing problems but even though that was too long.

Me and 3 friends went here tonight after a wolds walk. Service was given by a young guy. He was 100 per cent. Food was served at expected intervals. He was very attentive, lovely, not intrusive but enough to care. Food was awesome. Can't Complain. Delicious. Best I've had for ages. 2 of my friends had the vindaloo and naga curry. They went red, tears down their faces and appeared in a strange area of euphoria. They were so happy with their meal. Small restaurant area which meant it was more intimate. I told the waiter that if I was in the area I would defo come in again. Top place!! Very reasonable prices.

Up and down, on service and food, but recently down on both. I've actually been getting Tesco microwave currys which are much nicer. Go figure!

I visited seven spices with my partner during a day of local celebrations for giant Bradley day. Our server was very welcoming and polite. We chose from the special offer menu and thoroughly enjoyed this great value option. Couldn't do enough for us. Lovely place.

Impromptu visit late on a Friday evening. Food was absolutely delicious and service was brilliant. Portion sizes were good and choice was excellent. Large menu with some different dishes to ones I’ve experienced before.

Really disappointed in this place. Chose it for a special occasion. Was due to be delivered at 6pm and had to call as it was 30 mins late. We found both curries and saag dishes really salty and unenjoyable. And both naan's very dry and bland. I really hate to leave negative reviews for small businesses but honestly feel really gutted we spent so much money on this for a nice occasion and waited for so long for it to be such poor food

Delicious meal very tasty and plentiful

Best Indian food for miles! These guys care about their customers and make amazing food that is very cheap considering the unbelievable quality and taste of the food that they serve. It is ALWAYS fantastic. A small, family run business, ran by good people who are always friendly and happy to go above and beyond. Honestly, we would pay double and still eat there.

Another great meal at Seven Spices. The food is yummy and the staff really friendly, what more can you want! Can't wait to go again.

We ordered; Veg Balti, Korma sauce, garlic rice, peshwari Nan, garlic cheese Nan. Originally from the Birmingham area, we were spoilt for great Indian restaurants & takeaways. Since moving to the area, we struggled to find somewhere that matches the quality we are used to. Seven Spice hit the mark! Food was hot and full of flavour. I’m not a convert and need look no further. We’ve tried a number from Goole and around this area. Fantastic. Looking forward to our next curry, faith restored!

Just had dinner with family,great atmosphere,very present staff catered for my young grand son without a problem, the food was delicious can't fault

We visited this restaurant in October 2023 for my sons birthday. We wanted a table for four people. Upon arrival we waited around 10 minutes for someone to come out of the back. Eventually I went into the back and asked if we could just pick a table, which we did expecting that someone would bring menus and take our drinks order. Another 10 minutes passed and we'd still not been greeted or any menus brought to the table. I again went into the back and asked if they were too busy as we were happy to go elsewhere. They said they were busy but they'd be with us straight away. Menus arrived and drinks order taken. 15-20 minutes passed and no food order taken. Yet again I had to go in the back and ask for someone to take our order. The food eventually arrived, tepid at best. One prawn dish and others chicken dishes. Two of the dishes were supposed to have cheese in them, I was horrified and embarrassed when they came with a craft cheese slice on top. Needless to say we complained and decided to leave. The manager was very apologetic and asked us to give them another chance and to come back for complimentary meals, and asked that we didn't give them a bad review. Well, myself and my husband returned on Saturday evening (party of 2 this time, not 4). We reminded them of the offer made by them in October, they remembered us visiting but totally denied ever offering complimentary meals. I will never use this restaurant again. By the way, this visit we also waited around 10 minutes before we saw anyone. I wish I could upload a photo of the dishes as it was totally unbelievable. I might post on TripAdvisor.

Excellent food and service we will not use any other Indian restaurant within 20 miles.

Dropped in on our way home from a weekend in Filey. What a find this was. Food was excellent and service great. The king prawn jingha and vegetable dhansak were really tasty and all food arrived piping hot. The poppadoms came with a pickle tray that was very good - best lime pickle I’ve ever had. Thanks to all at Seven Spices. We’ll certainly drop by again when we’re passing.

Since we moved to MW we have had many dishes from seven spices and everything is delicious. I love the chicken tikka Main personally , but we have tried loads of dishes. Had a meal for 7 people tonight with a few new choices and our family and friends were really impressed with the quality and how fresh everything tasted. Highly recommend.

Ordered, all ok, told it'll be 45mins for delivery, again fine. Hour later, asked for an update, just busier than normal itll be 20 minutes. 40 minutes later no answer on phone. Go to shop to find out still no food anywhere near ready. There's a party of eat in people already complaining about quality of food that was also slow, and several other people doing the same as me. Turns out they're short on staff. At no point was this said at either order or followup. Plus they're still taking orders! Now it's 2 hours later (2130), had to get a refund and sort what were going to eat. Place was bad before it phoenixed itself, still bad. Avoid.

Ordered a takeaway, after an hour and a half we rang to chase and they said it would be 10 minutes, after half an hour more we rang again and they said they didn’t have a driver. After asking for a refund they said it would be 7 days, when we asked for it sooner they eventually ended up threatening us saying ‘they know where we live’ If you’re after starvation and threats on your families safety there’s no better place to go.

Ordered a takeaway for 4 people for my husbands 30th at just after 7pm, we rang at 10 to 9 and asked how long it would take, to be told 20 minutes. 30 minutes later, we rang back to be told they had no driver. Not once, when they accepted our order or when we rang did they say they had no driver. We spent over £70 on the order to be told we won’t refunded for 5-10 days. My husband spoke to a advisor via food hub, to be told that the shop told them we had already relieved our refund in cash. Which we absolutely did not. Why would you open and accept delivery orders if you don’t have a driver!! A joke from start the finish. DO NOT ORDER

Seven of us visited just on a Saturday evening. The service was excellent the gentleman serving us was very friendly and could not have done more for us. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were more than enough. Would 100% recommend

Food was nice, good choice of usual Indian dishes. Was let down by poor service, some of us had nearly finished eating by the time others food arrived and it wasn’t packed and only 5 in our group as well as drinks ordered that didn’t show up. Appreciate it was a Saturday night and possibly lots of Takeaways to cater for too but for me you should staff up accordingly. We waited almost an hour from ordering to first dish being served. I’d eat there again but not in a group.

We always order the tandoori mixed grill from here and never fails to impress! The food is very fresh, generous portions and great tasting. Highly recommend!

FANTASTIC FOOD FRIENDLY SERVICE HIGHLY RECOMEND

We've only ordered a couple of times so far, but this is quickly becoming our favourite take-out. Absolutely fantastic curries, crispy bhajis, and soft naans!

We are new to the area and what a find this place is, we look forward to working through the varied menu, large portions mean that if there is a group for a takeaway you can easily share. Did forget to say “So tasty” thanks.

Really enjoyed our evening here. The naan breads were delicious and the host was really helpful in choosing the curry spice level. I got the coconut curry and it was indeed hot enough already, and very delicious. Would come back and I recommend to everyone I know. Thanks!

Excellent dinner; complex flavors; not your average hot and spicy. We had lamb biryani and lamb Balti. We seek out Indian restaurants for one dinner each vacation, and have tried such restaurants all over the US and Europe. Can’t say enough about this spot. We would definitely go back if ever again in Market Weighton. It looks a little blah form the outside, but don’t be fooled. The food is original and delicious.

Absolutely fantastic. We live in Birmingham so have lots of curries but these were the best we’ve ever had. I had mili juli veg to start and Seven Spice Special with a Peshwari naan and my husband had salmon tikka and king prawn jingha with special rice and shared a bottle of wine. All so so tasty. I would change my allegiance to this place if it ever opened a place in Birmingham. Definitely a place to try

Delicious food and very friendly service. Believe them when they say a dish is hot! A really good range of starters and main courses. Didn't get as far as dessert as everything else was so tasty.

Four hungry blokes who have eaten curry all over the world (including Birmingham, Rusholme and Bradford) all declared the chefs specials at the Seven Spice amongst the best curries we’ve ever eaten. Naan bread is excellent and not greasy or stodgy. I would recommend eating in as your food will be a lot fresher than delivery. Excellent friendly service (and no we weren’t drunk!)
