Warton Arms in East Riding of Yorkshire

Went to the Warton Arms for Boxing Day lunch, 2-4pm sitting. The whole afternoon went without a hitch, the staff were fantastic and extremely attentive, the food was very tasty and well presented and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The whole family joined santa for breakfast today, it was fantastic! We had a fab time and the staff were so welcoming and festive.

Attended the Santa Paws afternoon today. Very well organised, lovely doggy meal & gifts from Santa. Really enjoyed the day.

Always a great experience. Friendly staff, good food. Good for kids. Good choice of gins. Very lucky to have a great pub locally. They always put on fun events, especially for kids. Pricing is very fair.

Service was outstanding we came for festive lunch, it was very busy, Bobby was brilliant..

We were very well catered for we had people with special prescription dietary needs and these where met by the wonderful staff

Booked a table for 3 people online, easy to do. Warmly greeted and shown to our table. Pub warm, cosy and xmas decorations very nicely done. Plenty to choose from the menu and drinks. Ordered at the bar and the food came around 15 mins later. We had the light lunch fish and chips which was really good. All the staff friendly and helpful. We stayed around 2 hours and will definitely be going back very soon.

Lovely place to have a bite to eat and drink. Very warmly welcome plenty of spaces to sit. Good choice of foods. Enjoyed the festive menu this time round.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I was so disappointed with the food here that I felt compelled to share my experience. I visited with a group of four, and our first impression was that the place looked lovely, albeit quite pricey for a pub. We had high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience fell short from the start. Our drinks took about 15-20 minutes to arrive, and I had to go back to the bar to follow up. When the food came, it looked average at best. Two of us ordered steaks, one had gammon, and the other chose the mixed grill. Sadly, we were all thoroughly dissatisfied. My steak was tough, overcooked, and not a good quality cut of sirloin—certainly not worth the nearly £20 price tag. My friend’s steak, on the other hand, was undercooked. The mixed grill was clearly made from frozen, bulk-bought ingredients, and my partner’s gammon was tough and overly fatty. For the price, this is simply unacceptable. If you’re charging premium prices, you should deliver quality food and get the basics right. Using cheap frozen ingredients and failing to cook a steak properly is a recipe for disaster—and that’s exactly what we paid over £100 for. The chocolate cake was the final letdown. It tasted stale and seemed like a store-bought dessert. At that point, we all regretted not opting for Wetherspoons, where the food is half the price and far better quality. On the positive side, the pub itself is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the ambiance is charming. It has potential to be fantastic, and I’ve heard it used to be much better, which is why we decided to visit. But with food this bad, I cannot recommend it. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

We were made to feel very welcome when we first arrived, we were ushered to our table which was set out really nicely. The menu has a lot to offer and something for everyone. We had Excellent customer service, the food was hot, presented lovely and tasted amazing.. compared to my last visit Warton Arms has got so much better, I hardly recognise the place.. Well done everyone, we will definitely be back!.

The Warton Arms offers everything we need for a casual lunch out with family; a warm welcoming environment with plenty of options for those with allergies, modestly priced, and well staffed. There is also ample parking which makes it less stressful with less mobile family members or the little ones!

Excellent service from the start...staff were really friendly and helpful throughout. Food arrived hot and quickly and the festive meal was delicious. Great atmosphere and would highly recommend. Will be returning soon.

I hadn't visited this pub for around 6/7 years. We decided to head over and try it again, and it was 100% worth it. Food, staff and atmosphere was wonderful.

Absolutely outstanding service as always. Joel goes above and beyond and very patient considering it was a party of around 30 people. All food came out together and hot. Beautiful food. Bar staff all outstanding. This is why we always use Warton Arms for any family meals. Thank you so much .

Lovely cosy atmosphere inside, myself and my friend booked a table and had a dog with us, we were shown to a dog friendly area which was nice and relaxing and tucked away in the corner which was perfect for the dog to relax and lie on the floor without being in the way. We ordered via the QR code on the table and food was delicious and arrived in a good time

This pub is very cosy inside and the staff are really nice. There are also places to sit outside and some are undercover. The food is ok. It is a shame that they don't have the specials like they used to.

Always a great night at Warton Arms. Emma is a great host and always makes sure the place runs like clockwork. All staff very friendly and happy to help. Food is lovely and very reasonably priced. Jason quiz master makes the evening fun and entertaining. A great place!

Staff started hovering next to our table at 22:30 when I had booked a table until 23:00 and I mean the waitress could've joined our table , our table spent a lot of money that night and every single one of us was pushed out by the staff at 22:45 . An absolute disgrace . Never again. Oh if you want food find the priemer shop .

We often visit this pub for our tea. The food is standard pub fayre but always good and the service is provided with a smile! The place is often busy although there are quite a few tables. It can be quite noisy as it is very suitable for families. The price is reasonable and they often have special offers which are worth looking out for.

Really excellent value Sunday Lunch, monster portions, couldn’t fault it. Kirsty, our server, was excellent. We will back. Recommended.

Staff served a large booking near last orders and were very accommodating for our change in arrival. Food was delicious and very affordable. Great range of options for all.

Friday evening and we sat in a largely empty pub. The service was quick and comprehensive the food was hot but my steak was supposedly sirloin but largely inedible. I did say so to the waitress but was still charged full price for it. I won't be rushing back

The Warton Arms is a very friendly place and an additional attraction for me is you can take your dog. Being a dog friendly pub means a great deal to me and my friends as our pooches can be part of our celebrations. The service is excellent and the food delicious.

Great food and service from the staff throughout, this was our first time visiting in over a year due to poor quality food previously however we had heard about an improvement and was keen to see if this was true. Our visit did not disappoint, the menu was vastly improved and the food was excellent, we will definitely be coming back again.

The food is very good. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I meet up with a group of friends every month and we always have a lovely time.

It is a lovely atmosphere. The girls who serve are lovely. The food is excellent, excellent value for money.

The Warton Arms is a fantastic spot with delicious food, especially their standout burgers. The staff are always warm and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. To top it all off, they offer a great selection of beers, making it the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal or drink with friends.

Beverley Community lift have been bringing a group of elderly people to the Warton Arms every month for almost a year. Our passengers have nothing but praise for Emma and her team, they are always very welcoming and will go out of their way to ensure everyone has everything they need to make their day.

Rude staff but good food and fast service

Recently visited the Warton Arms and was very impressed with value and quality of service. Great menu and range of drinks. Atmosphere was brilliant and a special thanks to Emma and the team for being very helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be returning at the earliest opportunity and would recommend it if your in the area!

Visited a few months ago. Beautiful pub with lovely outside seating. Good food and atmosphere. Made to feel welcome by Emma the manager who was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure that the staff looked after us. We were made to feel very welcome. Will certainly visit again.

Held wedding reception in the function room, Ryan and Chloe, were absolute stars from start to Finnish, couldn’t of ask for anything more, food, service and room were all 5 star Thankyou so much Would highly recommend

Easy to book and the table was reserved on arrival. Service was fantastic all staff were friendly and speedy but made sure I was their only focus. A good varied menu meant that everyone in the party was catered for. The pub was clean with ample parking and the outside was well kept as well. The food was hot and fresh and served well presented and by polite friendly staff. The time from ordering to service was perfect and it was really nice to not be interpreted during the meal to see if we were happy with the food we were guzzling down! The time between courses was also spot on! An excellent dining experience.

I booked a table for 12 people for what I thought was today but I made a mistake and had booked it for next weekend by mistake, when we realised the staff were really quick to put some tables together to accommodate us. Our table was in a dark corner near a old fireplace but had enough space was awkward getting in and out depending where you sat but I'd made a mistake and the staff did their best to make space for us. Once we'd all arrived, we chose our food one of our party went to place the order so it was altogether the roast dinners wasn't available but it was 5.30pm so expect that on a Sunday. Our starters took a while to arrive, the first starter arrived 10 minutes before the last so the first starters where cold. One of the starters was a children's garlic bread which literally was a slice of a garlic baguette sould really have stated this on the menu as it was for a 11 year old. We waited ages for the plates to be cleared then was waiting forever for the food to arrive, one of our party got up to ask where to food was and was told it would be about 10 minutes and told the pub was busy which we understood but other tables had come in after us and eaten and left while we was still waiting. It took a little while longer but wasn't waiting much longer than the 10 minutes. When the food arrived we didn't have cutlery so asked for some it was slammed on the table by the waitress, we was asked if that was everything to which we said no we were still waiting on a lasagne and a side of onion rings the lasagne arrived the waitress flashed us all a mucky looks and walked away then another came and told us that the onion rings wasn't ordered correctly and would take another 5 minutes. The lasagne should have come with salad and garlic bread and we ordered extra fries got chips but no salad. The chicken and chorizo was explained on the menu as chicken with a potatoes cooked with chorizo served with a marinara sauce and tenderstem broccoli it was a frozen ready cooked chicken breast, with roasted potatoes a little marinara sauce poured over and frozen broccoli florets not tenderstem and some cremated chorizo that was literally black and hidden under the chicken. When we spoke to a waitress we was told that's how it's served!! We have been before knew this was a pub not a restaurant but good god the standard of the food was awful the staff was damn right rude and the manager was sat on his backside on a laptop most of the time we where there. Would not recommend

I took my Dad who has Alzheimers here for lunch and it was fabulous. Bobby greeted us on arrival, she was polite, friendly and respectful. It was clean and tidy. The food was delicious, and my Dad loved it, would definitely go there again. Perfect.

We found the Warton Arms a very attractive looking pub with good car parking. The interior was clean and well laid out and the staff very welcoming. The menu was quite comprehensive suiting our requirements completely, see definitely will visit again.

Food was nice but lacking quality and flavour. Example the chicken kebab was presented well but was lacking in actual meat quantity. And price was a bit steep for a chicken salad on a flat bread. Yorkshire pudding was like cardboard and unedable but cheese, leek and potato pie was nice.

Food was so nice and super quick service, I’ve been before and always come back, but this time it was a four star as the coffee machine was broken and we didn’t get a refund, just something different which was cheaper.
