Phenomenal pub. The steak pie is simply mind boggling and had me jumping for joy... WOW! The selection of bevvys was simply astounding. I got very drunk and enjoyed every second that I can remember. This was my first time going to the pub in beverley, and it won't be the last.

Pleasant enough for a quick drink. Was very quiet but it was early afternoon.

Easily the worst soup I ve ever had in the British Isles. It was supposed to be vegetable soup and must have come straight from a tin. The bread served with it was microwaved baguette, and we waited at least 15mn for it to come. I wouldn’t recommend.

England won ,it was a great atmosphere 😁

We stopped outside in the sunshine for one beer only. Very nice.

Decent boozer with good selection of drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic too and coffee which is great to see. A few tables outside sit and natter and watch the world go by, definitely worth a visit if in Beverley

What a lovely lot of people working here. The best pub food I've had in years. Hot roast beef baguette with gravy boat of proper home made gravy, salad with honey dressing and large chips. Divine. I wish I lived there.!!!!

Must have caught them on a bad day. Two couples who ordered after us were served first. Ordered fish pie just warm with lumpy potatoes on top and plate full of mainly cold vegetables. Lots of them for big eaters. Can only assume they were dished up and forgotten to be brought out to the table. The staff were very pleasant, but I would expect that in Yorkshire. Sadly wont be going again.

Great pub that is on my list whenever I'm in Beverley. The food is really good and really popular.

Called in for a quick half pint whilst I was waiting for a train. It was a Saturday, so It was fairly busy, service was quick and friendly though.

Had a bite to eat Saturday mid afternoon. Just (thanks to the bar staff!) got the order in before they ended food service. Food was excellent, atmosphere nice and pleasant staff. As we left, next table was having a Cream Tea which looked magnificent....

Tickton walking football had their Christmas celebrations here, and we all enjoyed coming here. The staff cater for those with dietary needs, beer is good.

Sorry only popped in for a drink, didn't stay long works night out. No real feel for the place. Merry Xmas x

Popped in late on Saturday night, friendly staff, welcoming feel, we caught the end of the singers set ,he sang some really good music, plenty of dancing..

A Disaster! Not sure what else to say? Came in for a spot of lunch. It was quite busy, found a table and went to the bar which was also busy Ordered 2 beef and mushroom baguettes and drinks. Paid by phone. Ping...... Declined ??? Ok try my card. Ping... Not authorised. Card with pin, even though the machine was walked to and placed each time next to the WiFi.... Declined 🙁 Getting slightly annoyed at this point as the bar made was looking at me as if it was my lack of funds in my account and no suggestion of an issue with the WiFi I was asked if I could use an alternative card which I did, so I asked for a different payment machine which she did......delay.... Promising???? No.... Declined FFS! Did I have any cash or could I pop out and get some? No! 😱 At this point I had had enough and we left. Funnily enough, my card had worked 5 mins earlier before entering the pub and surprise surprise worked in the cash machine straight afterwards!!! Please get your card machine sorted and we may return! 🙈

Very good real world pub with great Ale

Had a brilliant meal today at the Queens Head. Great service and very tasty food. Fully recommend.

Friday is karaoke night, what a good night. Not packed but still the atmosphere was great. Everyone was a good sport at singing. We only went in for one drink and ended up staying till the end.

My wife and I had lunch here today and enjoyed both our meals my wife had gammon steaks when I ordered for her at the bar and asked without pineapple barman asked but with egg and I said yes so she had two eggs, it was large two gammon steaks homemade cut chips two eggs mushrooms grilled tomatoes and salad. My dish small ( glad I did) steak pie and chose new potatoes which also came with carrots broccoli cauliflower swede puree and delicious gravy. I did help my wife out with some chips. We both had a bottle of Californian Zinfandel which were in 187cl bottles and served at just right temperature. The food was really nice as were the staff and pleasant music mostly 1960s which is probably the best music ever. Staff excellent food excellent service excellent and the amount of local knowledge that the staff were giving out to guests was delightful to hear and this must be everyday for them but still with cheerful banter. The stars are well deserved.

The Queen's head is a pub in Beverley i have used for over forty years. It used to be a rundown two roomed Darley's pub. It has been modernised and extended, and is now a very smart and comfortable pub. It serves several hand pulled cask conditioned real ales and like a lot of pubs now is very food orientated. The food is good, and it's still a nice pub.

The BEST afternoon tea. Reservations are required, but so worth it. Food was excellent and price more than reasonable.

Was more like a care home for the elderly..ram packed with walking frames and sticks. Food was boiled to the point that it was just mush...suitable for people who can't chew. This was on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Never again.

Nice pub,nice staff,friendly atmosphere. Not eaten here myself, but food I did see looks nice .There is seating out on the front,good place to have a relaxing drink and watch the world go by.

The staff could not have been more friendly, the dinner was very tasty and at a good price. The reason for 4 stars is the amount of food that was wasted. Portion sizes were just too big for most of my family. If going, ask for a smaller dinner but well worth a look

In my opinion, probably the best public house in Beverley. Only went in for a drink on two separate occasions on the same day and saw it at its quietest and its near busiest. During lunchtime, the food looked so good, that im taking my wife there . Nice people on both sides of the bar.

Lovely place to spend NYE. Lots of music, dancing and complimentary NYE grub. Too bad I was full from my earlier meal. Thanks guy for a great evening.

Lovely atmosphere and lovely roast dinner... massive plate and the roast beef was humongous... can only eat half of it.

The only gripe was there was only one person serving behind the bar

We had need to use the back room as there was 14 of us for a family get together. Staff were very responsive and the lady on the bar that night ( 11th Oct ) was great. Thank you.

Had this place recommended locally for a sunday carvery and finally went and had lunch here. The roast beef was amazing and melted in our mouth and think it was silverside. So good. The staff were very friendly too and made us feel very welcome. Downside is that the cavery was really lacking a cheese sauce. It would have been nice to have some cauli cheese instead of loads of different boiled veggies. Or some pigs in blankets. And there was only beef available when we went. But the meat was amazing, so was the roasties and yorkies were also delicious.

Pleasant efficient staff. Young lady behind the bar very helpful and let us have our dog in the bar area.

Popped in on a Wednesday afternoon for a quick pint. Only two cask ales on offer at that time. Had a pint of IPA which was pulled well but way to cold to enjoy fully.

Queens Head is one in a million the staff are very professional, polite and helpful. If you are looking for somwhere to eat then I would reccommend the Queens Head all homemade.

Lovely Afternoon Tea,but we were told that the latest time we could arrive was at 2.30pm! Such a shame because there were only 4 other people in the pub and none of them were eating,so it wasn't as if they were busy. Yes, lovely food but we will not be returning.

We popped in for a bite to eat and ordered the fish and chips for 2 for £14 , wasn't expecting much of a portion for that price, boy was we wrong? Big portion of fish and peas and bread and butter! It was well cooked and very tasty , Will definitely pop in again , staff were very pleasant and helpful thanks again

Not good! Two fish chips and peas for £14, didn't sound too bad. Now I can't eat fish & chips with skin on the fish, one sight of skin and that's me finished!! Before placing order I asked the young man if the fish was skinned and he assured me it was. Out came the meal, fish straight from the freezer and SKIN ATTACHED!!! We both left our horrible meal and walked out, £14 out of pocket!! Never again will we visit this establishment.

We called in for a light lunch. I had an all day breakfast . Absolutely fantastic all cooked to order. My partner had a small steak pie. Absolutely recommend this place to eat. Friendly staff and good sercice. Wiuld return without a second thought.

Just had Sunday lunch delivered from Queens head in Beverley and there is 6 various vegetables, potatoes meat Yorkshire pudding, stuffing ball, and gravy, it's brilliant , so pleased as this is the first Sunday lunch I've had with them, well pleased.

Great food friendly staff great service

Very quiet on Friday afternoon when we called in for some lunch. Prawn salad was excellent as was the home baked ham baguette. Not expensive and would recommend. Meat pie today - very tasty (a small jug of gravy would have gone down a treat).

Wow, how bad the food was,we was sat near to the kitchen, table 18 and all we could hear was the slamming of microwave doors, food was the worst I even eaten,never ever again will we eat there.

A nice pot of tea and cake, I was driving, but the range of beers did look good. A friendly pub.

DJ doing the karaoke is really good. Always has the songs you like. Sadly, the barmaid with the blonde hair has one of those annoyed faces that does not want to be there. This was even mentioned to us by the coule sat next to us. A bit off putting. Sad also to have no cask ale available on our visit. All three pumps were off. Bit of a let down on a Friday night.

We have eaten at the Queens Head a few times, the food is home cooked at a very reasonable price. Several of the meals have a smaller portion available which we tend to have as the normal sized meal is very generous. The pub is quite dark and 'oldie worldie' but pleasant enough and seem to be popular.

A charming town centre pub with a pleasant atmosphere.

Just had Christmas lunch here, such good value for money, served by friendly attentive staff who did all they could to ensure that we had a pleasant eating experience. Highly recommended.

Had a nice bowl of soup, & my friend had lasagne, said it tasted home made. Also their Sunday carvery is excellent. Nextdoor table had afternoon tea, which looked wonderful, must try it.

Good for a quiet drink but lacks atmosphere

We having been coming here on and off over the years and the food is really good, we didn't have to wait to long either.

As always a lovely roast dinner in the pub. Tables are very close together so you need to bear this in mind. Pleasant staff doing table service.
