Absolutely a little gem of a place I go at least once aweek food is beautiful staff are very helpful and very friendly I give it 10 out of 10 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been using Happy House for years, first choice for my Chinese takeaway fix. Never a issue food always piping and full of flavour, great owners and chef.

Re-home your pet fish!! Awful conditions. Take them to your local fish centre and bin the tank.

Value for money is great. Never had a bad meal and we've been regular customers for over a year now. The owners are so friendly and cheerful. We don't even entertain the idea of going somewhere else for food!

Was so looking forward to having chinese from reviews. Was the worst l have ever had. Tasteless chops dry a d scrappy. Very dissapointed.

Travelled from South Cave to visit, excellent food and extremely friendly staff. The food didn’t feel or taste greasy like my usual takeaways and was really fresh. We ordered: salt and pepper chips, spring rolls, prawn crackers, 2 chow meins, 1 egg fried rice, chicken in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken, and beef fillet in Cantonese sauce and it only came to £29.70! Such good value and will definitely make the trip again to visit!

Just moved into the area and I'm so happy to say this Chinese is across the road from us, it's literally the best Chinese takeaway I've had....and I've tried a lot!! My partner loves the salt and pepper chicken and chips with curry sauce, and I love the mixed meat fried rice and beef with mushrooms, it's delicious, and unlike most Chinese takeaways, it's not overly salty,it's perfect 😋 👌

Used Happy House for the first time tonight, I was disappointed, the food was piping hot, but lacked taste, I ordered a House Special, which should as you know include, Beef, Pork, Chicken & Prawn. No sign of any beef too much chicken also far far too many onions and sauce very watery. I'll stick to my usual Chinese takeaway. Sorry I hate to down star.

Just had a wonderful and delicious banquet. This takeaway always provides quick service and the family that run it are lovely.

I had prawn chow mein on New Year's Eve. It was divine, I don't like too much sauce so it was great. My husband had duck in plum sauce and egg fried rice, again lovely. We had an acceptable wait considering the night of the year. I can't wait to go again, looking for an excuse. At £7.20 it didn't break the bank. They even remember that our son loves sausage and chips.

Great food, very reasonably priced, great friendly service, wait times are always reasonable Fast even for large orders, definitely recommend, The chicken curry is rich full of flavour very hearty meal, I have practically ordered everything of the menu and have never had a bad exsperiance. Just Overall my go to Chinese Restaurant Writting this is making me hungry unfortunately they are closed on Tuesday it is the only day off the week they are. One thing I will say is they use the thin noodles not the thicker ones but they are still tasty.

Lovely service can't fault that, waiting time for food was good and quick, food was nice but too much oil/grease in the vegetable chow main, also the curry is bland as my partner said and also the spring rolls taste like it was shop bought, But the rest of the food lovely.

Chose this place because it had 5 stars. Dissapionted. Curry massively over salted. Chicken chow mein hardly any chicken and no vegetables. Noodles seemed reheated. That's for the fortune cookies.

Really pleased to get a Calender and fortune cookies but unfortunately that’s where the pleasure ended. Singapore Chow Mein definitely wasn’t cooked fresh and could tell it had been reheated from a guess a couple of days earlier. Meat was shrivelled and noodles plastic tasting. Same for plain noodles for my daughter who couldn’t eat hers. Duck was ok but hoisin sauce very runny. Got no sleep until 5.30am as felt like I had a red hot poker in my guts which lasted until mid afternoon. Can’t say for sure if it was the food but going by the quality chances were good. Saw good recommendations but didn’t meet anywhere near a decent meal. Real shame. Hope this review helps improve quality.

order take away from here for my family food cold and no taste also told them no mushrooms and onions but still placed them in the curry for the price we paid was expensive delivery was late

Sorry but not happy. This place was recommended, OK I'm fussy cause I like fresh chips not frozen and I did ask, but hey its OK. What I didn't like was the pork in the special curry "minus beef&mushrooms" it had large vein arteries around it. I phoned, was polite asked for email to upload pictures but was getting nowhere.. Will not be recommending

We ordered the HOUSE SPECIAL SET MENU (for 4 people). The food was delicious and the portions were very generous! Definitely would come here again and recommend to friends!

We use Happy House all the time. Never ceases to amaze me how good memory the lady who takes the orders. Delivery is very quick and reasonably priced. Food is really tasty. Try it you won't be disappointed

Lovely friendly staff, food is excellent

Absolutely terrible, cant even get the English simple meals correct..... sausage chips and curry in a sealed plastic tub which turned the chips into a soggy mash.. the cheapest disgusting sausage they could find, never again and I will make sure my friends never use this shop

The best Chinese takeaway I've ever been to staff are very nice and friendly the place is clean and it always greeted with a smile from Lisa and Wendy and a very warm welcome always xxx

Most delicious food and happy owners!

Just got back from a two night stay here. We couldn’t of faulted it! The house was absolutely gorgeous and better yet the pub is right next door. Will definitely be coming back!

Wow, by far the best takeaway I've had in a long while. Food delivery very quickly, hot and delicious. The lady was very helpful re gf meals and extremely accommodating. Items which were gf, BBQ spare ribs, salt and pepper spare ribs, crispy seaweed, chicken satay skewers, beef in black bean sauce and their prawn crackers. Excellent value for money too. Would highly recommend this place. My now go to for a Chinese takeaway.

Really nice food and the lady who runs the place has got to be the happiest women I have ever met, my favourite Chinese takeaway by far, we actually drive a 20 mile round trip for this food.... Keep up the good work, stay happy.
