Great place for food, lovely atmosphere nice beer garden good variety staff we're veey welcoming knowledgeable and efficient Food was really good and very reasonably priced...I ll be back for sure 5 stars oall the way ..5 stars for the staff especially

Hands down one of the best breakfasts I've had, and everyone in the group said the same. Absolutely delicious food, great service and a nice place to be.

Visited for tea, 14th March 2025, not too busy on arrival. I ordered a steak, my wife ordered fish & chips.....my steak was OK, cooked well enough & tasty, the fish and chips however were a different matter, the fish was overcooked, very crispy batter & dry fish inside, the plate was actually swimming in not very pleasant grease/oil under the fish which we had to mop up with a serviette.....most of the fish went uneaten, and that put my wife off eating the rest of the meal. More concerning is that when mentioned to the staff member who came to ask about our meal, he was dismissive. This was a very disappointing experience, having dined here before, and on previous occasions the food and staff were very good, it's almost like a different restaurant the contrast was so significant. The big issue is that while I would probably have gone back to give things another go, my wife has made it clear she won't go back under any circumstances after having to call at a takeaway on the way home as she's diabetic, needed food & was hungry. This was actually raised at the time on Tripadvisor, the review was not placed here at that time & has only been done now as when placing another review I was asked to review The Vikings among others. Got the same standard reply....please give us another chance, but there is no way my wife will ever come back.

Came across this place as the restaurant at the Premier Inn was closed.Glad I did service first class food very good and very reasonable. Nice atmosphere will be back again when in the area.

Food good but some vouchers only scared 2 when I went back failed to honour the one they missed.

I never leave reviews but I had to leave a bad review to this pub horrible customer service! The people behind the bar were not friendly at all kept telling us that our kids were disturbing and not in a nice voice or way of speaking horrible customer service horrible staff will not be returning don’t take your kids there also

We have a child with food allergies, and they bent themselves backwards to help us, especially the young chef

We came for the buy one burger and get the second for a £1 it never disappoints. We both had The Home Run burger, one minus the jalapeño sausage. Filling, well cooked and we enjoyed them.

Clean and Tidy pub, good food, reasonably priced lovely staff. Tia, our server was polite, knowledgeable about allergies, and went above and beyond to check sauce did not contain allergies in the ingredients not written on the menu. Would not hesitate to eat here again

All 7 of us had a cracking tea. A feast fit for the family was a megga hit. Excellent value. Great staff. We will be back again

Horrible. Under cooked onion rings asked to be cooked served aged old over cooked rings, maybe from yesterday. Quadzilla burger. Bun not cooked, everything else over cooked. Yuk

Foods very basic and not great portions but staff are always lovely and welcoming. Cheap and cheerful. Good for if your going with people with disabilities

Came for tea, food was OK but my son was not happy about his burger. The bacon was burnt and he said the burger tasted funny. He enjoyed the onion rings though.

Haven't been for a while as food quality had dropped, I'm pleased to say that by today's visit standards have definitely improved. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & the service was second to none. Thank you.

Today (26/03/25) we had an awesome service! With lots of smiles and great attitude! It’s very unusual for this place as never before seen so many nice staff here and coming here often for something to eat. Today all staff were new for some reason but can’t fault anyone they all were great! Wish always would be like this! Thank you for nice one day experience

26.03.2025 was today with friend and was amazed about the staff friendliness. Very happy with the service we had. Which it's not usual atmosphere in here.

Happened on this by chance, buy 1 get 1 free burger Friday, what a great find. Excellent food and value for money. Will definitely be back!

Nice place, Vegan meal was very good and tasty only they had sold out of Vegan fish and chips so we ordered Beyond Burger.

Very pleasant lady serving at the bar & really nice young man called Tai (excuse the spelling) served us our table, has a passion for nice watches, as do I. Had a lovely chat, oh, & the value for money was 1st class too, as was the quality.

Not sure of the ladies name but she had a green shirt as apposed to everyone’s blackshirts assuming she’s a manager but she was on fire flying in and out of the kitchen, on the bar and cleaning tables she never stopped, Nice atmosphere and as always food was good see you next week ! 😁

Staff are friendly and warm welcome, food was tasty and also served quick after order.

Not many in but service was excellent and the same for value. 4 Big plate mix ups, bottle wine, pint ipa and 2 large cokes £38. Need I say more.

Everything was delicious, and the staff were lovely, especially Vicky, who was incredibly helpful and friendly.

We visited as a group of 23 diners and I have to say we were all very impressed. The service was impeccable. All our meals arrived together and the food was beautiful. The atmosphere was so chilled...even with 11 children in our booth. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. We will definitely be back again in the future! 5 star all round, thank you 😊

Went for the first time with family for Sunday lunch. Great selection on the menu, something for everyone, classic fish and chips, lots of burger choices and healthy fish options but I went off the diet and had chicken kebabs with 2 sides. All served hot and fresh by really lovely staff who were very attentive. A very pleasant, non hurried dining experience. The Vikings has good parking, lots of seating, it's family friendly and disability friendly and accessable. Would recommend it and will be having another visit soon.

Breakfast very good. Bacon and eggs perfect. I recommend.

The Staff here are always extremely helpful & welcoming. The food is very reasonable and always of a good standard. Would definitely recommend.

The service was really good so was the food apart from the mixed grill. Was asked how would u like ur steak i replied well done!! As i cut into the steak it was red inside and completely put me off eating. Once finished the guy asked was everything ok??? I said not really the steak wasnt well done??? He said u should have said!! I wanted to reply surely before it hits the plate it should be checked the onus isnt on the customer.

Me and my family came here, we had two sizzlers and a fish and chips with peas. We ate all of it and even had things left to take home for my brother, great service and staff overall 5/5 in everything. I even got a heart shaped onion ring.

Had two steak sizzlers with my wife The steaks were cooked to perfection with one being well done and the other being medium rare really enjoyed them would recommend people to try this place out

Came for our Friday T.time meal my wife and I, we both had the Lamb Kofta Flatbread, absolutely delicious

Popped in for a late breakfast and was warmly greeted, ordered 3 breakfasts which came pretty quickly and were very nice and well worth stopping for. Prices are very good too, we will definitely be back to try the main menu

Went for the Christmas menu. Which wasn't bad but potatoes were so overcooked and reheated. Service I know they were busy an short staffed but when we arrived where practically ignored and had to reach for somebody. One guy on the bar no coffee. And tobe honest we could have actually left without paying the bill. As walked past a few staff we had served us but we had a coats on and leaving. And when we paid the woman didn't even realise we hadn't. I get yr short staffed and obviously stressed. But wake up. We won't return.

Burgers were hot. Haven't been for a while and this was because we felt the food was substandard. 2 years later we thought we'd give it another go. Happy that things seemed to have improved. I much prefer a hot, properly cooked burger. They delivered this time. Nicely done Vikings.

Had more of an not very welcoming roadside cafe atmosphere than a restaurant.

Came to a funeral wake today had a meal which was nice but expensive. Went to go have a game of pool with my daughter's her boyfriend, husband and baby grandson who may I add is 4 weeks old to be told we couldn't be in there as the baby will cry and disturb people. Yet you screen football matches there and have countless people shouting what a pathetic excuse. Will not be visiting again. And you promote your pub as family friendly I think not. Only good thing was Leah our waitress.

Ordered food, received and did not even come with chips, ordered well done steak as was burnt and still raw - food was cold and very poor. Narnally, you are asked if everything is okay, but we were avoided as they knew they provided poor service. Avoid this place.

food was good, but absolutely appalling tried to go into the area where all the pool tables were and they refused me in as I had my month old son with me, there reasoning was because it was in there policy and that they wouldn't want him crying as he would be loud but everyone in that area was being louder then my son, made no sense. absolutely pathetic

Came to have an early T, we both had LAMB KOFTA FLATBREAD, absolutely delicious. My wife and I would definitely recommend both for quality and value for money

Great pub to visit when in Goole, particularly like the fact that there is an over 18’s area with a couple of pool tables and a dart board. Good variety of well kept beers and ciders. Food is great value for money too.
