What a little delightful find for lunch. We took advantage of the £6 a plate offer, first food and service. The venue was clean and well organised.

Sound place for a quickie or to watch the football. The food is good to. Wel worth a visit

Came here for tea with my other half, as we had a long day in York this was the best feedback on the Google survey so we visited and enjoyed our meal, well served by staff and helpful. Good value for money, highly recommended. I have visited previously but few years back, still very good.

Great friendly service. Breakfast was brilliant. Good sized portions and kids well catered for. All staff were nice and friendly. Any questions answered and sorted quickly and without fuss. Highly recommend.

Didn’t like it here at all. Staff was rude, food was dry, beer tasted like the tank needed changing but staff didn’t agree. Avoid at all costs i would rather starve.

We are quite locals and we have visited this pub a handful of times now. I always put myself in the shoes of the waiters/bar staff/ kitchen stuff and most of the time I understand the hard work they do. But the last 2-3 times we’ve been there, the bar staff has been so so rude, disrespectful and very very unfriendly. And from a person who used to work in this field, that’s not how you keep your customers. Me and my partner we went there for a pint today. We both love Birra Moretti, but this time my partner noticed that they were doing Peroni on draft. If you’re around this area, you probably know not too many pubs have this beer on draft ( or probably we don’t go to enough pubs to notice it! 😅). But anyway, while we was waiting to be served, he got himself very excited to give this beer a try. But also not sure if he would like it. So we asked if he can try it, and the answer back was a definite no but they offered half of pint straight away. Another young-ish blonde lady came around saying very rudely that would have to go down as waste if we only want to try it and she said a NO very loud-ish and giving us a look like we was asking for free cases of beer or something like that. I am wandering, how I am supposed to know if I like something if I haven’t tried it before? And also, when they over fill a glass of beer, and all that beer is tripping over, is that not classed as wastage? We genuinely just wanted let’s say a shot of that beer, to see if we like it and it was no need of the rudeness, snatching, evil looks or whatsoever… we did need up having two pints, but that would definitely not happen again, for sure in that pub.

Let’s say you get what you pay for the instant mash potato was the high light of the meal pigs in blankets more like pigs in a tea towel also extremely over done I don’t know if I can class the beef and turkey as beef or turkey apart from that the staff seemed nice we had 2 adult and 2 kids carvery’s which cost £40 luckily I was given a gift card (after the last time we came here a few months back and the waiter asked us how to make a desert 🤦‍♀️😳) so we only ended up paying around £25

Sunday morning g breakfast treat for 2. Ordered using the app, simple and quick. Food was good and service was good.

Shame now bananas for waffles etc. but great service and good food.

Just had a full English absolutely perfect and tasty to keep me going for the day staff are always friendly and polite love the Vikings great atmosphere just wish I had a great pub like this where I live.

Great portions from the 2 for £12.49 menu we had planned desert but we couldn't even think about it after tackling the pie, we were served by a lovely young lady called Callie who was very polite and attentive 😊

Popped in for a quick lunch with the kids. It was fairly busy. Ordered on the app, the food arrived and it wasn’t quite what my daughter thought and she didn’t like the food. The waitress came over to check everything was okay and could see that my daughter was sad. She was really lovely with her and asked if she would like anything else, we ordered another meal which came very quickly which my daughter enjoyed. Great service and attentiveness from Gemma

Sunday lunch exceptional value for money. Excellent service from all the staff just a pity about the noisy children on the next table. Will try over 18 section for a more enjoyable dining experience

Exceptional service from friendly staff. We had the Sunday roast and other bar meals, and the portions were generous and well presented. I would definitely recommend this venue for Sunday lunch

All four of us were quite disappointed with the food tonight, I ordered the ‘Beyond Meat Stack’ (pictured) which looked very sorry for itself and only came with half the stuff it was meant to, very disappointing for over £10, and hard to describe as a stack, the picture makes it look better than it was! My partner got the mushroom & ale pie which was also unimpressive and for a mushroom pie barely had any mushroom in, and came with very few peas. The lasagne and mixed grill weren’t great either I’m told. Tropical Breeze mocktail was also poor and didn’t come with the garnish it was meant to, minor but for £3.49 it was basically just a glass of peach and coconut soda We ordered on the app and annoyingly despite the menu stating fries could be swapped on a burger for salt & pepper fries for +50p, the option wasn’t given - possibly because they’re only listed as vegetarian on the menu and it was a vegan burger, but I’d expect the option to be there regardless We did book a table (admittedly only 35 minutes before the booked time slot), but we were just told to sit anywhere because they’d not reserved a table yet Overall really disappointing, my first visit to Vikings and probably the worst Greene King pub I’ve been to. The food was worse than you’d expect if you’d ordered 2 minutes before close, and has really put us off ever going back unfortunately

Myself n hubby have just had a lovely lunch here, I had jacket with cheese and salad, hubby had Flaming Jack burger with drinks. Service was quick, food was hit n well presented. Staff really nice, polite and well presented. Highly recommend

Food was abysmal - had a "special" which was meant to be a Katsu curry platter. Was a plate of dry overcooked beige with a tiny pot of Katsu sauce. Was advertised as a "jug". Honestly a joke - couldn't believe it. At £10 you could get a significantly better meal at any major restaurant chain.

Too hot need air conditioning... Food was lovely You need to serve a half pound burger with chips with no trimmings Not everyone eats salad cheese etc

11⁰z steak ordered rare 😋 was amazing 👏 big shout out to whoever cooked the steak in kitchen, bar staff top points too, as even brought my drink to table after I foolishly left it at bar . Leah, the server was on the ball, making sure everything was as ordered.

Come on a Sunday for a quick dinner. Nice pub food. Portions are fair, and some dishes are pretty big. Plenty of choice and staff are really friendly

Tried to ring and speak to a human, no joy, just an automated thing calling itself Charlie. Unable to speak to someone. After four attempts gave up. Useless answering machine and service.

Le anne back of bar shouted top of voice across the room we dont allow dogs i said hes a service dog ian the manager knows him hes not the manager she shouted back wheres his dog card then my wife seventy year old had to walk up to bar to show hes a full service dog no apology nothing how ignorant was she

Lovely quick stop Monday meal Perfect

Having only moved here late last year this was our first visit and we are very impressed with the Viking food was excellent and served quickly all the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour We will certainly be back again soon .

Kitchen closes at 9pm after that you can't have a meal to me that's unacceptable as a restaurant it makes no sense at all since you're there to sell food .

Food no where near as good as many previous experiences. Chicken was dry, hardly any if any bbq sauce and cheese was grilled to a crust. I was offered a replacement but I didn't have time to wait ( chicken new yorker) Waited for 5 minutes for a pint of ipa to be poured. Asked if I wanted salt and pepper chips as an upgrade, I asked for normal. My gf's chips never turned up. Again another wait for the chips. What's going on hungry horse, I have always left positive reviews.

Went to the vikings last night Great atmosphere . Had chicken tikka masala Which was very nice. Lacking a nan bread Which would make it perfect. Tia and Vicky very pleasant . Will be back .

Had a lovely meal. Plenty of choice and lovely and hot. Service was warm and welcoming and the staff were friendly.

The food was delicious, we ordered Classic chicken New Yorker... the service was nice - we will definitely come back here.

4 adults and 3 children, service wonderful and food,. All very pleasantly surprised at quality and price. Apologies to the waitress as I have forgotten her name but a big thumbs up and defiantly be visiting again..

Back again for a Sunday roast 😋 as usual great value service and food 👍 The only reason I gave 3 stars for atmosphere was because of 2 grown men swearing 🤬 constantly even though its a family friendly pub.....I know that's out of your control.

First time in this establishment and when we come back to Goole we will be back. The breakfast was great value for money, cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. The staff were polite to all customers around us. Above all there was Yorkshire Tea to drink.

Service was great, onion bhajis were very soggy and wet in the middle couldn’t be eaten.

Had curry with free drink. £14 for 2 of us. Was very nice and enough for a lunchtime meal.

we all came for breakfast, the plates came through hot which was great but we asked for a cooler plate as my mum has dementia and will automatically grab the plate. they brought a cooler plate out and there was no problem asking the staff for anything. they are always welcoming and friendly and they like are lists. We come 2-3 times a week and would recommend it to anyone including when we have friends come from out of town.
