Bombay Clayoven in East Riding of Yorkshire

Stayed at yellow top beginning of June ordered our takeaway for delivery there were four of us and we ordered the full monty £70 worth and poppadoms and chutney . First off had to repeat my order three times after being put on hold twice mid order. Then I assumed the boss came on and said that we would get extra poppadoms and chutney foc for our inconvenience, Also that our food would take at least 1hour. That suited us so we waited, 40 mins later our food arrived great. Not so no poppadoms or chutney . Rang the clay oven back, After 15 attempts someone answered and apologised as the missed items were on there way. Clay oven is 2mins away. 1hour later when we had finished the meal we rang again and was assured that it was on the way! Never to be seen again. Sorry Bombay clay oven we won't be using you again very poor service. Jez & vera

So we have been here 3 times now. Stayed at Yellow Top country park twice before and used these guys both times. Both times the food was bang on! We have now come to Owelet hideaway and ordered again. The food here is superb! Especially when on vacation you might be a bit hesitant to order, Don't be! Food is fantastic, service is fantastic and it came within 30 minutes! Trust me, try them!

The food was the best I had in North Shelby it was so good I have now ordered outside catering for my relatives at a wedding venue in January I recommend the lamb shank served with fried onions rice and the tarka daal is divine, me Carl and Roberto had an experience I will talk about in the coming months... table of 7 booked for Xmas defo having the lamb shank again...looking forward to having the Quail once again and it's off the menu Indian home style cooked Liver Tikka is sooooo delicious that's if you like chicken liver, or the liver chat yum yum

The food I had at the Bombay Clay Oven was amazing they have a fantastic new player on the team who knows his Bangladehi cuisine, when you go make sure you ask for Jamz ,...this character knows quality mouth watering dishes, all at reasonable price, 101% I am off for another meal and have booked a slot for Friday.

Always use Bombay clay oven for takeaway Indian. As good as ever with new chef apparently and was delicious. Probably wouldn't sit in unless I was from the village only reason for 3 stars. It is predominantly a pub after all

We visited The Black Swan pub, fabulous atmosphere and made very welcome & The Bombay Clay Oven is in the back of the pub 👍 Food is Delicious and service is very good & friendly 10 out of 10 for The Black Swan pub & Bombay Clay Oven 👍

The best Indian restaurant in my opinion. The food is very authentic. Price was very reasonable. I tried the chicken tika jalfrezi, pilau rice, and garlic nan. I must say it was very very tasty. Writing this review is making my mouth water. It was so authentic the quality of the food I thought I was India. I will definitely be back for more.

The food was very nice, the portions were a good size and i came away satisfied with a full belly. The staff were friendly. It is run as a separate business in the back room of the pub, so you buy drinks in the bar and take them into the restaurant room where you pay for the food separate. I was staying at the "Fourways Campsite" 2 minutes walk down the road so this was a perfect location for getting food if you camp there.

Good food reasonably priced and pleasant staff

Customers should see past the fairly rustic surroundings and think about the food. One of the best Kormas I've had out ,for many years. Friendly welcoming host, also very good value.

We were staying at Acorn Glade glaming site. Used Justeat to order, put in a special request to be called when they were at the gate and they did exactly that. Food was tasty and not too oily. Portion size was perfect and delivered bang on the estimated time. 👏

Food was excellent. The waiter was good and explained what was in the dishes.

Fantastic indian food within a brilliant little local serving some really nice real ale. Service was really friendly without being intrusive. And while the food arrived a little bit in stages, that was just as it should be as each dish was piping hot, freshly cooked and absolutely delicious! Best chapatis and naan I've had in a long time, the chicken and lamb we tried was very tender and flavoursome. Sag Aloo probably the best I've ever had - no joke, it was deliciously and we should have ordered two! And no one went home hungry. First time we had visited but we will be back again without fail.

Delivery came just after the time it was estimated. So no issues there. One of the few places did deliveries for the cottages we were starting. Food was good and enjoyable.

Had a fantastic meal at the bombay clay oven last night, if I had one criticism, not enough portion as I do like my food ;)

Ordered takeaway for the first time tonight and it did not disappoint! Really tasty food and no grease or oil which you do get with some takeaways! Will be returning.

This place is under new management and with a new menu. We dined in and the food and service was really excellent. Highly recommended!

Put a order in and there just cancel it

Waited 3 hours for delivery. Told it was on its way 4 times.. the food never arrived! 10pm on a Saturday we had to get a McDonald’s! Spoilt our evening. Don’t bother with them.

The wait time wasn't too long as the food came within the hour and was still hot when it arrived. Unfortunately the chicken was tasteless and the jalfrezi was like a bowl of chilli soup that was that hot I wasn't sure if it was to mask a bad taste or that the person that made it really didn't know what a jalfrezi was. I have had Jalfrezi at many different restaurants and this was definitely one of the most non-authentic Jalfrezi's I've ever had incorrect ingredients and incorrect spices. 2 stars given because delivery was within the hour.

Best curry I've tasted for a very long time , a little gem of a curry house , waited a while but we'll worth the wait, plus its connected to a pub 😋

Ordered our food for delivery at 20:20 supposed to come at 21:15 after 3 phone calls and a promise of a refund 22:10 an Uber cab turned up to deliver food. Finally after another call got the refund 😠😠 Very unhappy and will never use this place again.

I would give this a 5star rating if it was just for the food alone as it is so unbelievably tasty, definitely up there with one of the best I’ve had and good size portions. But after ordering at 6pm to be told it will be here for 7pm then it turns up at 8.20pm was a real disappointment which took this from 5 stars

Really good takeaway in a pub. The food was SPOT on !

Little gem. Food good and reasonably priced. Very friendly service. Location not as you would expect but quite endearing in a funny sort of way. Definitely will be revisiting
